Was George B. McClellan "Swiftboated"? Or Should We Say "Steamboated"?

Abraham Lincoln’s reelection in 1864 wasn’t a shoe-in. The ole rail splitter was a hard campaigner and he sure as hell wasn’t about to let some pipsqueak ex-general oust him from the presidency. But, how do you take down your opponent without getting your hands dirty? You let other’s do it for you; hence, the Steamboat Veterans for Truth.

If John F. Kerry (I served in Vietnam) studied history instead of harvesting Purple Hearts for mosquito bites, he might have beat George W. Bush in 2004. Instead, he was Swift Boated.

And who says history doesn’t repeat itself?
