U.S. Muslims Commemorate Ayatollah Khomeini's Death

I never thought I would see the day when American citizens would gather to celebrate the life and commemorate the death of one of our countries most implacable enemies.  Ayatollah Khomeini died 22 years ago. Muslims who now call the United States home, descended upon the nation’s capitol to pay homage to a man who wanted to obliterate our way of life.

One of the participants at this event lauded Imam Khomeini for not being tainted by any Western ideological orientations or Western governance.  Yet, when that pillar of Islam fled Iran, he ended up in the suburbs of Paris after he was told to leave Iraq; apparently this “holy man” couldn’t find a Muslim country that would give him refuge.

We all should be concerned when the enemies of Western Civilization gather to heap praise on an evil son of a bitch in our own backyard.  But this is life in the Age of Obama, when being a self-loathing American is as fashionable as Che Guevara tee-shirts.
