Nancy Pelosi's "Idiocracy" Talking Points

God forbid, the Democratic Party wins the House of Representatives during the midterm.  If that comes to pass, Nancy Pelosi will once again become Speaker.  It’s bad enough we have a clueless nimrod in the White House, but to have the complete legislature resemble the movie “Idiocracy” once again is intolerable.

 

 

I laughed out loud when the Botox princess stated that this country doesn’t have a spending problem, and that investment in education is what brings revenue into the treasury.  Here is an excerpt from the Hill:

The Democratic House leader said she backed a “big, bold proposal,” that targeted ending subsidies for large oil companies and eliminating loopholes in the tax code.

"It isn't as much a spending problem as much as it is priorities," she said, arguing that tax subsidies were a better target than additional cuts that could hit programs such as education.

"Nothing brings more money to the Treasury of the United States than investment in education of the American people, so we have to recognize that," she said. "Cuts in education, scientific research and the rest are harmful and they are what are affected by the sequestration."

This woman is out of touch.  83% of the American people believe the federal government has a spending problem; but the princess doesn’t want to hear that.  Instead, she sticks to the same old talking points.

The supposed subsidies the congresswoman accuses the oil companies of having is no different than what other businesses get:  deductible business expenses.  But because they deal in oil, they can easily be demonized.  And as for education, how are those degrees going to add to the treasury when no one can get a job?  Answer that one princess.

The business owners I’ve met are those whom learn a trade, and later in life decided to go on their own.  They then hire others as business expands.  A piece of paper had nothing to do with it.  But I’ll tell you what does affect these entrepreneurs: relentless taxation and warrantless red tape from government bureaucrats.  But you can’t tell that to a person who believes food stamps are good for the economy.
