Chris Cuomo, a CNN news anchor, summed up what a
modern day liberal thinks about the rights of man, the Declaration of Independence,
the definition of words, and the power of government in a heated argument with
Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. Here is
an excerpt:
“Our rights do not
come from God, your honor, and you know that. They come from man... That’s your
faith, that’s my faith, but that’s not our country. Our laws come from
collective agreement and compromise.”
Rights come from
collective agreement and compromise? So basically,
according to Chris Cuomo, you don’t have any rights unless the collective – meaning
our lord and masters – says that we do.
Liberals believe in
the evolution of rights and words.
Everything is transitory and shaded in grey. They don’t even believe in
the founding principles as stated in our Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths
to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving
their just powers from the consent of the governed…”
Liberals don’t believe
in basic principles such as “consent of the governed.” They force their ideology down our throats by
using the power of the most undemocratic branch in the federal government.
The federal judiciary,
by decree, declared states’ constitutions and laws unconstitutional because they
forbade same-sex marriage. Are today’s unelected and unaccountable jurist
adherents to the spirit of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S.
Constitution? Do they derive their just
powers from the consent of the governed?
Their actions state otherwise.
Was same-sex marriage
an evolutionary right that came from collective agreement and compromise? No it didn't.
Same-sex marriage was forced down our throats by activist judges.
