Millennials Third Largest Demographic in North Carolina

This is an unbelievable statistic.  I had no idea millennials were this numerous in North Carolina.  Carolina Journal reported the following:

RALEIGH — One out of every three North Carolinians is a millennial. And those in the generation born between 1982 and 2004 will soon become the largest chunk of the adult population as well. But that doesn’t mean millennials will play an outsized role in the 2016 elections.

Dr. Rebecca Tippett delivered that message Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. Tippett directs Carolina Demography at the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tippett explained that lower citizenship and voter participation rates among millennials suggest that their full impact on the electoral process lies more in the future than the present.

The sentiment in the above video is exactly what I posted yesterday.  I also have to wonder how many of these millennials are illegal aliens.
