Spendthrift, Thumb Suckers, and Union Thugs

North Carolina’s Eighth District has it all this year. The race for the U.S. house seat has brought out a cast of characters that would fit in nicely on the Jerry Springer Show. We have a thin skinned millionaire with a questionable past; a retired sports caster who doesn’t live in the district; we have a spendthrift who currently has the job; and SEIU circulated a petition to put one of their local thugs on the ballot. Oh, and we have a Libertarian that is also running.

It’s a full moon and the bats are flying high.

The Republican Party is trying their best to sabotage Tim D’Annunzio candidacy. The Chairman publicly stated that the front runner in the run-off election was “unfit” to serve and that he was unelectable.

D’Annunzio issued a press release:

On Monday, Republican congressional candidate Tim D’Annunzio fired back at GOP leaders who’ve spoken out against his controversial campaign, demanding that the chairman of the North Carolina GOP step down.

“Chairman Fetzer broke the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party by speaking against my candidacy,” he said. “I am officially calling for Chairman Fetzer to step down. He should resign the position.”

D’Annunzio later retracted his call for Fetzer to step down.

The Charlotte Disturber printed a hit piece on D’Annunzio. Harold Johnson, the contender in the republican runoff, then used that material on an ad campaign. D’Annunzio sued for defamation of character; then called off a scheduled debate.

Politics is a contact sport. You have to be thick skinned in this game if you want to play. Harold Johnson is no better. He then whined about being sued. I say it’s about time we put some vinegar on those abused thumbs, so as to wean these two cry babies from sucking on them all the time.

Harold Johnson was interviewed by a mediocrity on a local talk radio show. A simple question such as “What’s the first thing you’re going to do once you get to Washington D.C.” stumped him. You’ve got to be kidding me.

Larry Kissell, the king of pork, is hell bent on bankrupting this country and has a tough general election. His irresponsible spending has outraged many in what is considered a conservative district. But that is not good enough for the communist in SEIU who wanted Obamacare. This organization has circulated a petition to put another candidate on the ballot because they’re angry that Kissell didn’t vote for that monstrosity. What these morons don’t realize is that Kissell votes 96% of the time with the Democratic Party. Many of those were procedural votes which cleared the way for the passage of Obamacare.

No one can say that the Eighth District of North Carolina doesn’t have its share of characters; and that includes the one who doesn’t live here.
