Dream Act is Amnesty for Criminals and Whole Illegal Families
If you think the Dream Act is for the "poor" little children of illegal aliens, who had the misfortune of being abducted by their parents and spirited away from their homeland into this godforsaken hell hole called the Untied States, then you are sadly mistaken. No, this amnesty act is for the whole damn family and their little doggy too!
Senator Jeff Sessions outlines the true character of the Dream Act:
1. The DREAM Act Is NOT Limited to Children, And It Will Be Funded On the Backs Of Hard Working, Law-Abiding Americans
Proponents of the DREAM Act frequently claim the bill offers relief only to illegal alien “kids.” Incredibly, previous versions of the DREAM Act had no age limit at all, so illegal aliens of any age who satisfied the Act’s requirements—not just children—could obtain lawful permanent resident (LPR) status. In response to this criticism, S.3827 includes a requirement that aliens be under the age of 35 on the date of enactment to be eligible for LPR status. Even with this cap, many aliens would be at least 41 years old before obtaining full LPR status under the Act—hardly the “kids” the Act’s advocates keep talking about.
The DREAM Act requires that DHS/USCIS process all DREAM Act applications (applications that would require complex, multi-step adjudication) without being able to increase fees to handle processing. This mandate would require either additional Congressional appropriations, or for USCIS, a primarily fee-funded agency, to raise fees on other types of immigration benefit applications. This would unfairly spread the cost of administering the DREAM Act legalization program among applicants and petitioners who have abided by U.S. laws and force taxpayers to pay for amnesty. Taxpayers would also be on the hook for all Federal benefits the DREAM Act seeks to offer illegal aliens, including student loans and grants.
2. The DREAM Act PROVIDES SAFE HARBOR FOR ANY ALIEN, Including Criminals, From Being Removed or Deported If They Simply Submit An Application
Although DREAM Act proponents claim it will benefit only those who meet certain age, presence, and educational requirements, amazingly the Act protects ANY alien who simply submits an application for status no matter how frivolous. The bill forbids the Secretary of Homeland Security from removing “any alien who has a pending application for conditional status” under the DREAM Act—regardless of age or criminal record—providing a safe harbor for all illegal aliens. This loophole will open the floodgates for applications that could stay pending for many years or be litigated as a delay tactic to prevent the illegal aliens’ removal from the United States. The provision will further erode any chances of ending the rampant illegality and fraud in the existing system.
3. Certain Criminal Aliens Will Be Eligible For Amnesty Under The DREAM Act
Certain categories of criminal aliens will be eligible for the DREAM Act amnesty, including alien gang members and aliens with misdemeanor convictions, even DUIs. The DREAM Act allows illegal aliens guilty of the following offenses to be eligible for amnesty: alien absconders (aliens who failed to attend their removal proceedings), aliens who have engaged in voter fraud or unlawfully voted, aliens who have falsely claimed U.S. citizenship, aliens who have abused their student visas, and aliens who have committed marriage fraud. Additionally, illegal aliens who pose a public health risk, aliens who have been permanently barred from obtaining U.S. citizenship, and aliens who are likely to become a public charge are also eligible.
4. Estimates Suggest That At Least 2.1 Million Illegal Aliens Will Be Eligible For the DREAM Act Amnesty. In Reality, We Have No Idea How Many Illegal Aliens Will Apply
Section 4(d) of the DREAM Act waives all numerical limitations on green cards, and prohibits any numerical limitation on the number of aliens eligible for amnesty under its provisions. The Migration Policy Institute estimates that the DREAM Act will make approximately 2.1 million illegal aliens eligible for amnesty. It is highly likely that the number of illegal aliens receiving amnesty under the DREAM Act will be much higher than the estimated 2.1 million due to fraud and our inherent inability to accurately estimate the illegal alien population. Clearly, the message sent by the DREAM Act will be that if any young person can enter the country illegally, within 5 years, they will be placed on a path to citizenship.
5. Illegal Aliens Will Get In-State Tuition Benefits
The DREAM Act will allow illegal aliens to qualify for in-state tuition, even when it is not being offered to U.S. citizens and legally present aliens living just across state lines. Section 3 of the DREAM Act repeals Section 505 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1623) which prohibits giving education benefits to an unlawfully present individual unless that same benefit is offered to all U.S. citizens.
6. The DREAM Act Does Not Require That An Illegal Alien Finish Any Type of Degree (Vocational, Two-Year, or Bachelor’s Degree) As A Condition of Amnesty
DREAM Act supporters would have you believe that the bill is intended to benefit illegal immigrants who have graduated from high school and are on their way to earning college degrees. However, the bill is careful to ensure that illegal alien high school drop-outs will also be put on a pathway to citizenship – they simply have to get a GED and be admitted to “an institution of higher education,” defined by the Higher Education Act of 1965.
Under the Higher Education Act, an “institution of higher education” includes institutions that provide 2-year programs (community colleges) and any “school that provides not less than a 1-year program of training to prepare students for gainful employment” (a vocational school). Within 8 years of the initial grant of status, the alien must prove only that they finished 2 years of a bachelor’s degree program, not that they completed any program or earned any degree.
If the alien is unable to complete 2 years of college but can demonstrate that their removal would result in hardship to themselves or their U.S. citizen or LPR spouse, child, or parent, the education requirement can be waived altogether.
7. The DREAM Act does not require that an illegal alien serve in the military as a condition for amnesty, and There is ALREADY A Legal Process In Place For Illegal Aliens to Obtain U.S. Citizenship Through Military Service
DREAM Act supporters would have you believe that illegal aliens who don’t go to college will earn their citizenship through service in the U.S. Armed Forces. However, the bill does not require aliens to join the U.S. Armed Forces (the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard); instead it requires enlistment in the “uniformed services.” This means that aliens need only go to work for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or Public Health Service for 2 years to get U.S. citizenship. If the alien is unable to complete 2 years in the “uniformed services,” and can demonstrate that their removal would result in hardship to themselves or their U.S. citizen or LPR spouse, child, or parent, the military service requirement can be waived altogether. Such claims will likely engender much litigation and place a huge burden on DHS.
Furthermore, under current law (10 USC § 504), the Secretary of Defense can authorize the enlistment of illegal aliens. Once enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces, under 8 USC § 1440, these illegal aliens can become naturalized citizens through expedited processing, often obtaining U.S. citizenship in six months.
8. Despite Their Current Illegal Status, DREAM Act Aliens Will Be Given All The Rights That Legal Immigrants Receive—Including The Legal Right To Sponsor Their Parents and Extended Family Members For Immigration
Under current federal law, U.S. citizens have the right to immigrate their “immediate relatives” to the U.S. without regard to numerical caps. Similarly, lawful permanent residents can immigrate their spouses and children to the U.S. as long as they retain their status. This means illegal aliens who receive amnesty under the DREAM Act will have the right to immigrate their family members—including the parents who sent for or brought them to the U.S. illegally in the first place—in unlimited numbers as soon as they become U.S. citizens (6 to 8 years after enactment) and are 21 years of age.
Additionally, amnestied aliens who become U.S. citizens will be able to petition for their adult siblings living abroad to immigrate to the U.S., further incentivizing chain migration and potentially illegal entry into the United States (for those who don’t want to wait for the petition process overseas). When an adult brother or sister receives a green card, the family (spouse and children) of the adult sibling receive green cards as well.
9. Current Illegal Aliens Will Get Federal Student Loans, Federal Work Study Programs, and Other Forms of Federal Financial Aid
Section 10 of the DREAM Act allows illegal aliens amnestied under the bill’s provisions to qualify for federal student assistance under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.) in the form of federal student loans (Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, Federal Direct Stafford/Ford Loans), federal work-study programs, and other federal education services such as tutoring and counseling.
10. DHS Is Prohibited From Using the Information Provided By Illegal Aliens Whose DREAM Act Amnesty Applications Are Denied To Initiate Their Removal Proceedings or Investigate or Prosecute Fraud in the Application Process
When an illegal alien’s DREAM Act amnesty application is denied, the bill states that the alien will revert to their “previous immigration status,” which is likely illegal or deportable. The bill, however, prohibits using any of the information contained in the amnesty application (name, address, length of illegal presence that the alien admits to, etc) to initiate a removal proceeding or investigate or prosecute fraud in the application process. Thus, it will be extremely hard for DHS to remove aliens who they now know are illegally present in the U.S., because illegal aliens will be able to claim that the legal action is a product of the amnesty application, and DHS will have the nearly impossible task of proving a negative.

Touch the Muslim's Junk, Not Mine
A little common sense goes a long way. We know who the culprits are. It's time to start profiling. Screw CAIR and the whole damn political correctness crowd. We wouldn't be in this position if it were not for Muslims imposing their "peaceful" ideology on the whole damn world.
Now we have the TSA shoving their hands down our pants; feeling up children and nuns; in the meantime CAIR is trying to get a waiver? Have we gone insane?

Charlotte Observer Editor Wets Underoos Over Rail Line
Just last week the editorial board at the Charlotte Observer was lamenting the huge debt and budget deficits that the federal government has incurred. This same newspaper lauded the Bowles – Simpson Debt Commission on their austerity programs to cut cost and raise taxes. Boy, what a difference a week makes. Associate Editor, Jack Betts in this Sunday’s editorial is applauding a government subsidy to build a high speed commuter train on the eastern seaboard:
Now, 40 years later, as North Carolina and other parts of the South cope with the effects of dramatic population growth, traffic congestion and the post 9-11 inconveniences of airplane travel, the Obama administration is pushing for a remake of a rail passenger system that once was the predominant way of moving people about the country. The administration is making available more than $10 billion in grants to 31 states to create a system of high-speed trains that could link 80 percent of the nation's population by 2035. It will cost many billions of dollars.
And here's the thing: North Carolina finds itself well-positioned to tap into that funding to rebuild its rail lines and significantly increase its ability to help move people up and down the East Coast. That will happen if rail planners succeed in linking the Northeast Corridor of existing fast trains between Washington and Boston with the Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor, sending fast trains from Richmond south through Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta with connections to South Florida.
These progressive spendthrifts at the Charlotte Disturber are about as fickle as a five year old. Give them a new shiny government program and their eyes glaze over and you begin to see a wet spot expand in their Underoos. You can feel the excite in Mr. Betts prose at the prospect of a state funded rail system:
The rail division at the N.C. Department of Transportation has worked with existing Amtrak service and contracted for operation of state-supported trains restoring daily round-trip service between Raleigh and Charlotte with connections north and south. Those trains, especially the state-sponsored train sets, are clean, comfortable and a bargain for travelers who don't own cars or don't want to fight traffic in the Triangle, through the Triad and into Charlotte.
Amtrak is a bargain because they are highly subsidized by the American taxpayer:
According to the Congressional Budget Office, “only 16 percent of Amtrak’s long-distance passengers use sleeper service, at a subsidy that ranged in 2004 from $269 to $627 per passenger and exceeded subsidies for coach service by at least 50 percent and sometimes more than 100 percent per route.” These losses are made up by taxpayers. During these increasingly tough economic times, taxpayers do not need to be additionally burdened by paying for turn-down service and pre-paid movies. This unprofitable activity is one reason that Amtrak has received $37 billion of taxpayer subsidies since 1970
Mr. Betts reminisces about the resurrection of the old Orange Blossom Special line from New York to Miami. He however omits the fact that the line was built by men of vision who took the risk of investing their own time and money; they were entrepreneurs.
The Orange Blossom Special eventually went bankrupt due to the vicissitudes of the housing market in Florida. This new project is dependent upon taxpayers; dreams of progressive newspaper editors; and the vicissitudes of politicians.

Alexander Hamilton was an Illegal Alien?
Alexander Hamilton was an illegal alien? You've got to be kidding me! First of all Hamilton was a British subject just like the rest of our founding fathers. He was born in the British West Indies. He later moved to New York in 1774 to study at Kings College. The U. S. Constitution wasn't even ratified until 1789.
That's a pretty neat trick to have participated in the Revolutionary War; help formulate the U.S. Constitution; be an outspoken advocate for said Constitution and at the same time prohibit yourself from being a citizen.

Gettysburg Address: A Nation of the Federal Government, by the Federal Government and for the Federal Government
Today is the anniversary of one of the most celebrated speeches in world history: The Gettysburg Address. Abraham Lincoln was a former Whig. The Whigs were for high tariffs and protectionist policies that favored the industrial north at the expense of the agrarian south. The party later fragmented and one of the off-shoots became the Republican Party.
History demonstrates that slavery was the main cause of the American Civil War; but that was not the only reason the south seceded from the union. It was the mercantilist policies of Abraham Lincoln and his former Whigs that drove the South to declare themselves a sovereign nation.
Abraham Lincoln himself declared that if he could save the union without freeing the slaves he would have done so. The war was first and foremost about the preservation of the union; state’s rights and slavery were secondary.
Abraham Lincoln and his statist unionist won the day. Now, this country has a new birth of slavery -- a nation of the federal government, by the federal government, for the federal government that shall not perish until George Soros and the new world order takes us over.
The Gettysburg Address:
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. Sen. Jay Rockefeller Hungers For Quality Propaganda
Senator Jay Rockefeller hungers for the day when he can control the quality of news through the regulation of cable and satellite television providers. He wants to pass a law that would force these “pay to view” venues to customize packages at a lower cost. However, the market is taking that step already and without the help of a legislative God like Mr. Rockefeller.
Cable providers have been losing customers for years, specifically to competitors like DirecTV and Dish Network; but those two alternatives have also become expensive. In today’s bad economy, people are looking to not only cut cost; they also want to cut the cord and at the same time customize what type of programs they want to watch. Gigaom describes what is happening in the industry:
But a funny thing happened in the second quarter, when, for the first time ever, IPTV and satellite subscriber increases didn’t make up for cable losses. Cable providers lost a total of 711,000 subscribers in those three months, and 216,000 of those households did not sign up with other providers, deciding instead not to pay for multichannel video services at all.
That’s a trend we see continuing, particularly as cable subscribers continue to raise their bills at an incredible rate. Comcast reported on its earnings call that average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by 10 percent year-over-year, ending the third quarter at about $130 per month. Charter’s ARPU also rose about 9 percent, to $126. And while Cablevision’s reported average revenue per sub didn’t grow as fast as the others, it’s now a whopping $149
All of which is why we think that the cord cutting phenomenon, which Comcast and Time Warner Cable deny is something that they’re seeing, is for real. From our point of view, expecting users to pay $125 to $150 a month, and continuing to raise those rates 5 to 10 percent every year, isn’t a sustainable business model. At some point, those users will find alternative, cheaper ways of getting the content they want, and now there are plenty of ways to do so.

Democrats Need A Clockwork Orange Rehab
If you don't think government regulations and taxes don't have an influence on businesses, then you need to watch this video. Better yet, we should pull a "Clockwork Orange" on Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the leftist nut jobs in Washington D.C. Maybe then, they'll begin to understand the consequences of their actions.
I cannot think of a better movie that best describes the Democratic Party. They are a bunch of dick-faced bullies that are invading our homes and businesses; destroying property ownership and prosperity.
These people are clueless narcissist waving their "junk" in our face. You would've thought they could have bought a clue from the shellacking they received in the last election; but hell no. They voted Princess Pelosi as minority leader. Here is a San Franciscan accustomed to wearing a strap on and giving it to the American people.
I believe a straight jacket, eye opening clamps, Visine, and an instructional video would go along way to rehabilitating these socialist reprobates into accepting what makes America great: Limited Government, Capitalism and the Free Market.

13 Year Old Restores Honor to American Flag
This is disturbing. A boy cannot display an American flag on his bike for fear of harm. What in the hell is going on in this country? We now have a bewildered Congressman apologizing to a little boy that was shamed into taking down his flag. We as a people have some self-introspection to do. More importantly, we need to come to resolve on those who threaten violence to Americans who display patriotism in our own country.

Charlotte Observer's Hypocrisy on the National Debt
Leave it to the Charlotte Observer’s editorial board to lecture the rest of us on fiscal responsibility. These Haight-Ashbury rejects advocated every big government program that’s put forth by every whack-job socialist on the international, national, state and local scene. Now that the country’s back is against the wall, these spendthrifts are trying to make themselves out to be budget hawks. Here is a commentary on the Bowles, Simpson Debt Commission:
While the specifics deserve a thorough examination, their message and approach were spot-on. Their message: America's profligacy is a real threat to its status as an economic superpower and attacking our enormous debt will be painful for almost everyone. Their approach: About $1 trillion in new revenue, about $2.2 trillion in spending cuts and almost $700 billion in interest savings by 2020.
The reactions were predictable. Nancy Pelosi and the AFL-CIO instantly labeled it unacceptable because of its spending cuts and reining in of Social Security. Republican reaction was mixed but many leading conservatives dismissed the proposal because of the higher taxes.
Well there you have it, and that's why America is careening toward bankruptcy. The United States borrows 37 cents of every dollar it spends. It's putting over a trillion dollars on the credit card every year. At some point, the bond markets will revolt and the financial crisis of the past two years will look like child's play.
Balancing the budget and paying down the debt means dramatic spending cuts and tax hikes. That's not an opinion; that's math. But politicians will not make the difficult choices because voters by and large are not demanding that they do so.
Are you kidding me? What in the hell do you think has been happening in the past two years? Maybe you’ve heard about a grassroots movement called the tea party? We started a march outside your offices last year. Remember that? I believe all of those years of smoking pot have affected their memory. Move away from the bong.
Here are some of Charlotte Observer's suggestions for balancing the budget and reducing the debt:
A gas tax hike of 15 cents a gallon. Painful? Yes. But it hasn't increased in 17 years. It would generate billions, and push the nation to reduce its demand for oil, much of which we buy from hostile regimes.
$100 billion in military spending cuts. As the biggest discretionary part of the budget, lower defense spending has to be part of the solution.
Reforming Social Security with higher retirement ages, lower cost-of-living adjustments and other changes. Social Security, created in 1935, was never meant to provide income for the final 30 years of a person's life. And raising the income that is subject to the Social Security payroll tax is a no-brainer.
I can agree on the spending cuts in the military, maybe not the 100 billion. But there is waste in every bureaucracy. I can also agree that Social Security was never meant to be the sole income for retirees. Raising the payroll tax and age requirement is not the way to go. The Observer believes that a majority of the people will live to be a hundred. I don’t. Making the eligibility requirement so high that death would be an impediment to collecting, shows that advocates have more of an interest in survival of the program rather than the participates. I believe means testing and privatization is more beneficial.
The gas tax hike of 15 cents a gallon is a job killer. That cost affects everything from groceries to big ticket items. The Observer believes it would generate billions in dollars of revenue, when in fact it would do just the opposite. Do they actually think businesses are going to eat that cost? Of course not, they are going to pass that on to the consumer. People are tightening their belts now, how is another tax going to help?
If we’re really serious about cutting the national debt and balancing the federal budget, then we are going to have to make drastic cuts in the bureaucracies. We need a decentralization of power from Washington D.C. to the states. That means whole agencies must go. We can start with getting rid of the Department of Education; Agriculture; Energy; and the EPA. All subsidies must come to a halt: agriculture; foreign; arts; corporate; you name it…it must stop.
The first place we can make cuts is the Obama Czar machine. I wonder how many millions are wasted on those Marxist bastards. There are plenty of cuts to go around. We just need the will to do it.

$100 billion in military spending cuts. As the biggest discretionary part of the budget, lower defense spending has to be part of the solution.
Reforming Social Security with higher retirement ages, lower cost-of-living adjustments and other changes. Social Security, created in 1935, was never meant to provide income for the final 30 years of a person's life. And raising the income that is subject to the Social Security payroll tax is a no-brainer.
I can agree on the spending cuts in the military, maybe not the 100 billion. But there is waste in every bureaucracy. I can also agree that Social Security was never meant to be the sole income for retirees. Raising the payroll tax and age requirement is not the way to go. The Observer believes that a majority of the people will live to be a hundred. I don’t. Making the eligibility requirement so high that death would be an impediment to collecting, shows that advocates have more of an interest in survival of the program rather than the participates. I believe means testing and privatization is more beneficial.
The gas tax hike of 15 cents a gallon is a job killer. That cost affects everything from groceries to big ticket items. The Observer believes it would generate billions in dollars of revenue, when in fact it would do just the opposite. Do they actually think businesses are going to eat that cost? Of course not, they are going to pass that on to the consumer. People are tightening their belts now, how is another tax going to help?
If we’re really serious about cutting the national debt and balancing the federal budget, then we are going to have to make drastic cuts in the bureaucracies. We need a decentralization of power from Washington D.C. to the states. That means whole agencies must go. We can start with getting rid of the Department of Education; Agriculture; Energy; and the EPA. All subsidies must come to a halt: agriculture; foreign; arts; corporate; you name it…it must stop.
The first place we can make cuts is the Obama Czar machine. I wonder how many millions are wasted on those Marxist bastards. There are plenty of cuts to go around. We just need the will to do it.

Obamacare Creates Second Class Citizens
Democrats have created second class citizens out of their Obamacare law. If you are politically connected; have enough money and lawyers; you can get a waiver. Some of the biggest proponents for this legislation is exempted from participating, namely unions; and particularly SEIU, which is listed #55 on the United States Health and Human Services website.
The midterm election was a referendum on Democrats and their legislative agenda. Topping that list is Obamacare. The number one priority for the next congress is to repeal or defund this monstrosity; and the socialist who pushed for this law knows it:
"A week ago Tuesday was like a cold shower for some of the organizations that felt that job had been done, that health reform was enacted into law and will be a reality," says Ron Pollack, executive director of Families USA, a consumer group. "If anything, the election results are re-energizing the many groups that worked hard to get the legislation enacted."
Pollack hosted a session Tuesday with about 20 groups representing patients, labor, consumers and health care providers, among others. It was one of many meetings that backers of the law have held since the elections.

Service Employees International Union president Mary Kay Henry says supporters should promote items such as the law's small-business tax credits and keeping adult children up to age 26 on their parents' health insurance and emphasize the law will "stop this trading of wages for health care that has been going on in the economy for decades."
How can anyone take these people seriously? It must be nice to lecture others and at the same time be a member of a protected class. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. By the way, since when is a 26 year old considered a child? Isn’t an adult child an oxymoron? And somebody should tell this idiot that employers provide health care benefits in addition to wages; not as a trade off.
It seems to me that these exemptions are a violation of the equal protection clause guaranteed under the Fourteenth Amendment. I guess some people are more equal than others.

Pakistani Christian Sentenced to Death for Blasphemy

Lahore: November 9, 2010. (PCP) A Christian woman named Asia Bibi was sentenced to death by District and Session Courts after year long trial on accusation of blasphemy filed by Muslim villagers of Ittanwali, where she was residing from generations.
While working in farms with other Muslim women, Asia Bibi was dragged in religious dialogues on June 19, 2009, when Muslim women termed her an “Infidel” and Christianity a “Religion of infidels” and pressed her to embrace Islam.
Asia Bibi who is married and have two children, defended Christianity with her little knowledge and told Muslim women that Christianity is only True religion on which Muslim women made a roar and accused her defiling Prophet Mohammad.
The Muslim men working in nearby fields also gathered and attacked Asia Bibi on which she fled to village in her home. The angry Muslims followed her and took her out of home and started beating her. They tortured her children also but meanwhile some one informed police.
The police took Asia Bibi to police Station and filed FIR against her under section 295-B and C of Pakistan Penal Code but showed it a protective custody to other Christians of Ittanwali village.
Section 295 B and C PPC are subject to life in prison or death sentence but it is first judgment in history of Pakistan when a woman is sentenced to death.
Release International an advocacy group for persecuted Christians around globe is pleading Asia Bibi case and have launched an online petition to ensure justice for her.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have expressed concern on death sentence to Asia Bibi and have appealed to President of Pakistan to withdraw false case against Asia Bibi immediately.

Durham, North Carolina Aiding and Abetting Illegal Aliens
The sanctuary city of Durham, North Carolina has been targeted by the Mexican Consulate as a testing ground for its specious Matricula Consular cards. A sizeable illegal alien population has infested the state and they need identification to give them a semblance of legitimacy; more importantly a substitute for a drivers license.
North Carolina law requires that applicants for driver’s licenses must provide a VALID social security card. This is a huge impediment to illegal aliens. The Durham City Council is trying to circumvent North Carolina law by not arresting minor traffic violators for not providing a drivers license; rather, all they have to do is show a legal form of identification.
The following resolution will be voted on by Durham’s city council on November 15:
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING RECOGNITION OF THE MATRICULA CONSULAR AS A VALID FORM OF IDENTIFICATION
Whereas, the City of Durham respects and promotes the right of all of its residents to equal treatment under the law; and
Whereas, many immigrants who could have obtained a driver’s license by using a tax ID number prior to 2005 are no longer able to do so now that current law requires a social security number; and
Whereas, if a Durham city law enforcement official discovers that a driver is not carrying a license when making a traffic stop for a minor violation such as speeding or not fully stopping for a stop sign, the officer would typically issue a citation rather than making an arrest, provided a) there are no indications of criminal activity or driving under the influence, and b) the driver has a valid ID card; and
Whereas, the Mexican Matricula Consular has been shown to be a highly secure form of identification, issued to Mexican citizens living in other countries and containing several levels of machine-readable verification; and
Whereas, acceptance of the Matricula Consular as a valid form of ID would not only assist in minimizing unnecessary and potentially life-changing arrests of hard-working residents guilty of no more than a minor traffic infraction, but would also be useful for banking, library, and other civil functions;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Durham hereby formally supports recognition of a properly issued and obtained Mexican Matricula Consular as a valid form of identification, not substituting for a driver’s license, but authenticating a person’s identity, and, with regard to activities of the Durham Police Department, supports issuance of a citation to persons showing such identification in situations where a citation would be issued to any driver lacking a license but with another valid form of identification, while leaving discretion to the officer as to whether to arrest.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption
If this resolution passes, any illegal alien that hurts, maims, or kills an American citizen by a vehicle in Durham, North Carolina; that city and its council members should be sued.
City liability insurance companies almost certainly won't cover liability associated with accepting such a card, since it is a violation of Federal law to accept the card. So if a city accepts the card and a citizen is injured by an illegal alien, the citizen could likely sue individual city council members for their personal assets and life savings.
Specifically, a state or local government official or employee who provides any benefit or service to such a presenter possesses the criminal intent (mens rea) necessary for a felony indictment under Section 274 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which provides criminal penalties for any act that "encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law."

Obama Meets Fellow Communist in India
Barack Obama has made a new friend in India. He met a fellow communist, and the two Marxist gushed over their shared ideology:
New Delhi: The Left may have staged protests during his visit but US President Barack Obama was "glad" to meet an Indian communist leader last evening.
"I am glad to meet an Indian communist. I am told that communists have been part of the (Indian) political mainstream," Obama told CPM Politburo member Sitaram Yechury at the Rashtrapati Bhawan banquet as they were introduced and both shook hands.
Yechury told Obama that the Indian communists have been in the political mainstream "throughout".
This must be the first time in history that a president of the United States is documented as being genuinely happy to meet a communist. I’m sure the two spent plenty of time bashing America. What a disgrace.

Mystery Missile Launch: Nothing to See Here...Move Along
A missile was launched the other day and no one seems to know who is responsible for it. The L.A. Times reports the following statement from the Department of Defense:
Officials with the Defense Department, the Navy and the Air Force said they did not have any details on the object or its launch site. Pentagon officials said that initial indications were that the military was not involved.
"We are aware of the unexplained contrail reported off the coast of Southern California yesterday evening," according to a statement Tuesday from the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the U.S. Northern Command, which operates the U.S. and Canadian missile warning system. "At this time, we are unable to provide specific details but we are working to determine the exact nature of this event.
"We can confirm that there is no indication of any threat to our nation and we will provide more information as it becomes available," the statement said
No threat to our national security? Are you kidding me? Move along plebeians. Nothing to see here. Nothing to see here. Move along.

The Federal Reserve is about to impose a tax upon the whole world through Bernanke’s quantitative easing scheme. Germany and other countries have been outspoken on the U.S. debt and possible currency crisis:

“Helicopter Bob” Bernanke should take the advice of Germany’s Finance Minister. After all, I’m sure Mr.Schaeble remembers what his parents and grandparents went through with the Weimar Republic.

What's the Matter With Wisconsin?
What’s the matter with Wisconsin? Did they drink the Kansas Kool-aid? The state with a proud progressive heritage has turned its back on the ideals of some of the most iconic figures in that states history. Robert La Follette must be turning over in his grave. CNN reports on the red wave that has inundated that most liberal of states:
The wave of red crashed ashore in Wisconsin as well, as Republicans took over the governor's mansion, a Senate seat, two U.S. House seats and the state legislature.
Political newcomer Ron Johnson defeated incumbent Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold by a comfortable 5-point margin, and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker took the governor's office by a similar margin over Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
Republican Kurt Schuller defeated incumbent state Treasurer Dawn Marie Sass, and Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen was re-elected. Secretary of State Doug LaFollette was the only Democrat left standing among statewide officeholders.
Democrats lost control of both houses of the state legislature, making Wisconsin the only state in the nation where Democrats lost a governor's office, a Senate seat and a complete legislature, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
I guess Wisconsin didn’t repudiate the ideology of all of the La Follettes. The Secretary of State was the only Democrat who survived the blood bath.
Thomas Frank who wrote about his fellow Kansan’s as a bunch of knuckle dragging dimwits would have the same thoughts about his fellow travelers in the once liberal north:

This past weekend the Master’s of the United States of America journeyed to the birth place of a monster that was created on Jekyll Island, Georgia a hundred years ago. That monster is the Federal Reserve. Today’s bureaucrats celebrated the anniversary of this creation in the open, unlike their forbearers.

Mayor Bloomberg Calls Tea Partiers Illiterate
Apparently Mayor Bloomberg’s angst doesn’t stop at salt shakers. He believes that the new crop of legislatures heading to Washington D.C. is bunch toothless rubes that can’t read and write:

Alaskan Federal Contractor Stumps for Murkowski
An Alaskan federal contractor gathers his employees and implicitly informs them that a vote for Lisa Murkowski is a vote for their jobs. He goes onto say that he doesn’t consider government subsidies funneled to his projects as “pork barrel spending.” Of course you don’t. Nobody considers themselves teat suckers.
Senator Lisa Murkowski is on the appropriations subcommittee: a choice appointment. Alaska is known for milking the taxpayers. The late Senator Ted Stevens was on this very same committee. He brought so much pork home that the state flag should have been changed to a squealing pig standing on the capitol steps, clutching a fistful of dollars. Remember the bridge to nowhere?
It’s this kind of attitude that is bankrupting this country.

The United States took a “shellacking” the other day at the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. Rogue regimes lined up for over a day to have a whack at the United States. You would have thought they were buying tickets to a rock concert. Three top officials from the U.S. State Department were the main attraction. And I guarantee you that they weren’t about to have panties thrown at them.
Michael Posner and his fellow self-loathing Americans took their medicine and asked for more with every degrading suggestion. Comments such as “thanks to very many of the delegations for thoughtful comments and suggestions”, and “It’s an honor to be in this chamber”, made the United States look weak.
Here are some of the suggestions by the top human rights violators in the world, as reported by Fox News:
Recommendations to improve the U.S. human rights record included Cuba’s advice to end “violations against migrants and mentally ill persons” and “ensure the right to food and health.”
Iran – currently poised to stone an Iranian woman for adultery – told the U.S. “effectively to combat violence against women.”
North Korea – which systematically starves a captive population – told the U.S. “to address inequalities in housing, employment and education” and “prohibit brutality…by law enforcement officials.”
Libya complained about U.S. “racism, racial discrimination and intolerance.”
In response to the many Guantanamo-related criticisms, the State Department’s top legal adviser, Harold Koh, blamed the failure to close the facility on others: “President Obama cannot close Guantanamo alone. That also involves our allies, the courts, and our Congress.”
Elections have consequences. This is what happens when you elect a man whose father was a non-citizen and a mother who despised her country. We get a president who is doing his best to diminish our standing in the world. After all he doesn’t believe in American exceptionalism.

States Have Mandate to Oppose Obamacare
Republicans have made huge gains at the state and local level this past election. The activism of tea partiers and their vocal opposition to Obamacare, and the outrageous spending at the federal level, propelled a huge turnout against a grasping, overreaching central government. A mandate has been issued: it is time to stop the power grab in Washington D.C...
Our country has struggled with our Constitution and duel sovereignty between the states and federal government since the birth of our union. It ended at gun point with the industrial North victorious over the agrarian South. Ever since then, power has slowly been taken away from the states. And one of the biggest proponents of a big statist government is the federal judiciary.
Federal judges have conferred the power of judicial review onto themselves. It started with Chief Justice John Marshall and gained momentum in the 20th century under FDR. Now, the Supreme Court is considered the sole arbiter of our Constitution. This abdication was not the intent of our founding fathers; all branches of government including the states have a responsibility to uphold and defend the Constitution. That responsibility has been relegated to a handful of unelected judges who are unwilling to cede power.
The sovereignty of the states has fallen prey to these arrogant magistrates. It wasn’t always so. There was a time when a Supreme Court decision didn’t carry the weight that it does now. During the presidency of Andrew Jackson, the Bank of the United States was under attack, not only by the president, but by the states as well. The Bank was corrupt and the states were fighting back. They decided to impose a tax that would slowly kill this parasitic monstrosity. A lawsuit was filed: McCulloch v. Maryland. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of BUS citing the “supremacy clause” in the Constitution.
But back in the early nineteenth century, a Supreme Court decision was just an opinion and didn’t carry any weight. The states ignored the ruling. Ohio imposed a $50,000-per-year-tax on each of the two branches in the state. The BUS refused to pay. Ohio sent its tax auditor to collect the money. The bank’s management wouldn’t comply, so the auditor leaped over the counter and helped himself. Needless to say, the BUS filed a federal lawsuit. The Ohio state legislature flipped the finger at the federal government with the following declaration:

How much the administration can, or should, compromise in ways that could dilute the effect of the new law in the next few years is a subject of much debate, depending on the politics from state to state or the economic dynamics in a particular market.
Policy experts say much of the authority to enforce the new law rests with the states, and they say the federal government may have little ultimate control over whether insurers will keep offering coverage in specific markets
The key to defeating this statist piece of legislation is to not enforce it. If lawsuits are filed, we need not to participate. If federal judges rule from on high, all we have to do is ignore them. They are dependent upon our compliance and we should do what Ohio did to the Supreme Court and the Federal Government in the early nineteenth century: give them the finger.

Our country has struggled with our Constitution and duel sovereignty between the states and federal government since the birth of our union. It ended at gun point with the industrial North victorious over the agrarian South. Ever since then, power has slowly been taken away from the states. And one of the biggest proponents of a big statist government is the federal judiciary.
Federal judges have conferred the power of judicial review onto themselves. It started with Chief Justice John Marshall and gained momentum in the 20th century under FDR. Now, the Supreme Court is considered the sole arbiter of our Constitution. This abdication was not the intent of our founding fathers; all branches of government including the states have a responsibility to uphold and defend the Constitution. That responsibility has been relegated to a handful of unelected judges who are unwilling to cede power.
The sovereignty of the states has fallen prey to these arrogant magistrates. It wasn’t always so. There was a time when a Supreme Court decision didn’t carry the weight that it does now. During the presidency of Andrew Jackson, the Bank of the United States was under attack, not only by the president, but by the states as well. The Bank was corrupt and the states were fighting back. They decided to impose a tax that would slowly kill this parasitic monstrosity. A lawsuit was filed: McCulloch v. Maryland. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of BUS citing the “supremacy clause” in the Constitution.
But back in the early nineteenth century, a Supreme Court decision was just an opinion and didn’t carry any weight. The states ignored the ruling. Ohio imposed a $50,000-per-year-tax on each of the two branches in the state. The BUS refused to pay. Ohio sent its tax auditor to collect the money. The bank’s management wouldn’t comply, so the auditor leaped over the counter and helped himself. Needless to say, the BUS filed a federal lawsuit. The Ohio state legislature flipped the finger at the federal government with the following declaration:

Hispanics Vote for Harry Reid
It is just a couple of days after the election and everyone is wondering how and why Nevadans chose the socialist Harry Reid over tea party candidate Sharon Angle. Was it voter fraud? There had been many reports of voting machines automatically picking Harry Reid when a straight line Republican ticket was pulled. Was it the usual corruption by the Democratic machine? We all know about the shenanigans of the likes of ACORN and SEIU. No, apparently it was the Hispanic vote that carried the day for Harry Reid, as per Newsweek:
According to election-eve polling and analysis by Latino Decisions, a surveying firm, Hispanics chose Reid over Angle 90 percent to 8 percent—an astounding margin. CNN’s exit polls showed a significantly smaller spread, with Reid winning 68 percent to Angle’s 30 percent. But Latino Decisions argues that exit-polling methodology is typically inaccurate at measuring voting by Hispanics and other subgroups. The firm also contends that exit polls tend to lowball Latino turnout. Still, CNN’s figures show that Hispanics constituted 15 percent of the Nevada electorate this year, a notable increase over the last midterm cycle, in 2006, when they made up 12 percent. “Latinos certainly saved Harry Reid,” says Gary Segura, a member of Latino Decisions and a professor at Stanford University.
We have to assume that all those Hispanics who voted in Nevada are Americans. In that case, why would they vote for a man whose voting record and policies are hostile to individual liberty and prosperity? Why would this subset of citizens vote for a man who has enslaved future generations of Americans to the yoke of a big federal government that is indebted to the Chinese?
Hispanics in Nevada obviously don’t care about the future of America. No, they are more concerned about their race and ethnicity. They chose their own special interest over everyone else. You would have thought that they too would be concerned about illegal immigration. Doesn’t an invasion of illegal immigrants that have the same rights and privileges as Americans demean their citizenship as much as the rest of us? Maybe American citizenship wasn’t what the Hispanics were concerned about, when they pulled the lever for Harry Reid.

Republicans Win Both Houses in N.C. State Legislature
Republicans have taken control of both houses in North Carolina’s state legislature. It is the first time in 112 years that the party has had a majority in the senate. A wave of voter anger and discontent has not only turned out Democrats at the national level, but at the local as well:
Unofficial returns indicate that Republicans won at least 28 Senate seats and 62 in the House, according to an Associated Press tally. The current House is a 68-52 Democratic majority and the Democrats control the Senate with 30 of the 50 seats. . "We are going to govern in a different way," Rep. Paul "Skip" Stam of Apex, the current House minority leader, told a cheering crowd at the GOP victory party in Raleigh. "We're going to govern in a frugal way, in a responsible way."
North Carolina has a $3 billion shortfall. Republican legislators are going to face some hard decisions, particularly since Governor Beverly Perdue has the power of the veto.

D.C. Bureaucrats Committing Voter Fraud
Washington D.C. bureaucrats are committing voter fraud. They live and work in the nation’s capitol, yet they vote in states where they do not reside, as reported by the Associated Press:
I have an easy way of dealing with these people: if you are a government worker, and dependent on taxpayer's money, you shouldn't be allowed to vote. Public employee unions cause chaos when they don't get their way, just take a look at California. That state is bankrupt and one of the main causes is the bloated health and pension benefits for government workers.
If you are on the public dole, you forfeit your right to vote. That is the only way to ensure we don’t become another France or Greece.

Some residents eligible to vote in the city choose to vote in another place they have a tie to, saying one reason not to vote in Washington is it would mean giving up their vote in Congress..
People who live in the nation's capital can vote for president and local offices like mayor. But they have no senators representing them, and their one House member can't vote on the House floor. Close races in November are virtually unheard of in the overwhelmingly Democratic city. So some of the city's 600,000 residents go out of their way to vote somewhere they think they can make more of a difference. It may seem like manipulating the system - but it can be legal, depending on a person's circumstances and the laws in the states where they vote.
"I can't think of any of my friends who vote in D.C.," said Kathleen Danielson, 22, who graduated from George Washington University earlier this year and now lives in the city's Columbia Heights neighborhood, about two miles from the White House
