Gruber the Grafter

Jonathon Gruber, the lauded MIT economics professor and skilled grafter, epitomizes liberalism.  He and his ilk is a bunch of self-righteous pricks who believe they know better than the rest of us.  We, the great unwashed, are not sophisticated enough to appreciate the genius of our betters.  No, they have to shepherd us into their government sanctioned pens by any means possible.

Conservatives instinctively knew what liberals thought of the average American.  But to have it on video, on multiple occasions, is a gratifying affirmation.  You can tell Gruber felt comfortable amongst his fellow elites.  So much so, he broke a grafter’s rule:  you don’t brag about the con.  And what a con it was.  Gruber made millions off the great Obamacare lie.  The New York Post reported the following:

Now, a series of government contracts totaling more than $2 million for consulting services provided by the Harvard-trained economics professor are coming under scrutiny.

Eight states hired Gruber to help design their health exchanges after he banked nearly $400,000 in 2009 through contracts with the Department of Health and Human Services, records show.

Gruber and a handful of colleagues got state contracts totaling $1.6 million over seven years from Michigan ($481,000), Minnesota ($329,000), Vermont ($400,000) and Wisconsin ($400,000), The Washington Post reported.

He also advised Colorado, Connecticut, Maine and West Virginia.

Time will tell if Gruber the Grafter becomes a pariah.  Liberals have a tendency to reward their con men even when they have been discredited.  All you have to do is look to global warming for that affirmation.
