Rep. Anthony Weiner Throws his Ass on the House Floor...Again!
Rep. Anthony Weiner strikes again. He threw his ass on the house floor. This time over a bill that the Democrats passed; but somehow it wasn't good enough because only 11 republicans voted for it. The Democrats then rescinded the bill; unheard of in the history of congress as far as I know.
It is all political theater. Anthony Weiner was playing to the cameras. If this bill was that important it shouldn't matter how many republicans voted for it.
I will give Mr. Weiner some kudos. He appeared on Sean Hannity's radio show today; and I've seen him on Fox News. The man isn't scared to defend his position; unlike others in his party.

Can the United States Become Another Mexico?
Today, if you ask a congressman about the constitutionality of a piece of legislation, they will state they are not Constitutional scholars; or just outright laugh in your face.
Alexis de Tocqueville when traveling the United State in the early 1800’s wrote about Americans and their familiarity with the role of federal, state and local governments. He also wrote about the fate of countries who tried to replicate our style of government without understanding it.
Here is an excerpt from his Democracy in America:
Once the general theory is well understood, the difficulties of applying it remain; these are countless because the sovereignty of the Union is so entwined in that of the states that it is impossible at first glance to see its limits. Everything in such a government is arbitrary and contrived and it can only suit a nation long accustomed to self-government and where political science reaches right down to the lowest rungs of society. Nothing has made me admire the good sense and practical intelligence of the Americans more than the way they evade the countless difficulties which derive from their federal constitution. I have scarcely ever encountered a single man of the common people in America who did not perceive with surprising ease the obligations entailed in the laws of Congress and those which owe their beginnings to the laws of his own state, nor who could not separate the matters belonging to the general prerogatives of the Union from those regulated by his local legislature and who could not point to where the competence of the federal courts begins and the limitation of the state tribunals ends.
Do the above describe today’s average American? I don’t think so. Just look at the courts of today. The federal judiciary is usurping the powers of the state tribunals. The federal government is dictating to the states and its citizens what it can and can’t do. Is this what our founding fathers envisioned?
Tocqueville further states what happens to those nations who replicate, but don’t follow the SPIRIT of our Constitution as understood by our founding fathers:
The Constitution of the United States is akin to those fine creations of human endeavor which crown their inventors with renown and wealth but remain sterile in others hands.
Contemporary Mexico has illustrated this very thing.
The Mexicans, aiming for a federal system, took the federal constitution of their neighbors, the Anglo-Americans, as their model and copied it almost exactly. But although they transported the letter of the law, they failed to transfer at the same time the spirit which gave it life. As a result, they became tangled endlessly in the machinery of the double system of government. The sovereignty of the states and Union entered into a collision course as they exceeded the sphere of influence assigned to them by the constitution. Even today Mexico veers constantly from anarchy to military despotism and back again.
Imagine that! We could become just like Mexico: another third world hell hole. I guess that is one way to solve our immigration problem

Enforce the Law and the Illegals Will Deport Themselves
Illegals are leaving Arizona in droves. It just goes to show you that if you enforce the law, they will leave.
I have to comment on the lady in this video. She is a business owner and without a doubt a long time resident; and she can't speak English? That's a problem. One of the bonds that binds us as citizens is a common language; that used to be a requirement.
This lady demonstrates how serious the illegal alien problem is in Arizona. A nation cannot survive when you have diasporas that refuse to assimilate. Is it any wonder the citizens of Arizona have had enough.
Citizens of Bell, California Rebel
Bell, California is a case study in the arrogance of public officials. Part time council members make $100,000 a year. Wow! That is unbelievable. The mayor and police chief salaries double their big city counterparts.
The citizens of this town have every right to be angry. I don't know how the members of this city council can look their neighbors in the face. The mayor doesn't have that problem; he lives in another town! You would have thought that would have been a prerequisite for the job.
Good luck on getting rid of these people. In the good old days we used to tar and feather corrupt public officials. Today, you end up paying their bloated pensions until they day they die.

Shirley Sherrod: Breitbart Wants to Send Me Back to the Plantation
So Miss Shirley believes that Andrew Breitbart wants to send blacks back onto the plantation. Judging by this video, I don't think she has gotten past the "race issue."
This whole situation stinks to high heaven. I want to know who supplied Breitbart that video. Something isn't right and I believe this was a setup from the very beginning.
Breitbart offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who could supply a video, that showed tea partiers making racist remarks to black lawmakers on the day they voted to pass that monstrosity of a health care bill. No one has collected. Since then, Mr. Breitbart has been a target.
And as for Shirley Sherrod, how can you say you're not a racist when you wake up every morning next to this guy:
Hey Shirley the next time you attend a NAACP meeting make sure you say Hi to Lewis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton; known lovers of Jews and white people.
The March of the Illegal Aliens
"Everyone is selling up the little they have and leaving," said Villasenor, 31, who is headed for Pennsylvania. "We have no alternative. They have us cornered."
The two women are among scores of illegal immigrant families across Phoenix hauling the contents of their homes into the yard this weekend as they rush to sell up and get out before the state law takes effect on Thursday.
The law, the toughest imposed by any U.S. state to curb illegal immigration, seeks to drive more than 400,000 undocumented day laborers, landscapers, house cleaners, chambermaids and other workers out of Arizona, which borders Mexico.
So this illegal has its sights set on Pennsylvania. They must have a whole slew of free goodies just ripe for the picking. Hey Pennsylvanians you had better brace yourself for the swarm of locust that are about to descend upon your state. You might want to consider Arizona's solution before it's too late.
Maybe a list of sanctuary cities should be given out as a departing gift. San Francisco and Los Angeles, just to name a few, were the most vocal opponents. I'm sure they will accept you with open arms. And I hear they have incredible government programs designed just for you. Be sure to ask your new neighbors at the house warming party.

Charlotte Observer Believes in Endless Unemployment Benefits
You’d think with a 9.5 percent national unemployment rate, the traditional extension of federal unemployment benefits – which the president signed into law Thursday, would be a no-brainer.
The national unemployment rate is actually 21.5 percent (see the reference below). The Disturber then goes onto list the joblessness in the local area:
N.C. figures Friday showed the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill regions June unemployment was 11.1 percent, second highest among N.C. metro regions behind the Hickory area’s 13.1 percent. That means about 120,000 people in the Charlotte and Hickory regions are seeking work.
Many of those unemployed are construction workers. I wonder how many jobsites the editors of this rag have been on. Had they been on one, they would notice an inordinate amount of illegals working. But forget about that, Americans are unemployed.
The Disturber doesn’t care how long you’ve been collecting a check, or the fact that many able bodied people is turning down lesser paying jobs. They just want those government benefits to keep coming:
Slashing benefits that help people will only make the deficit even harder to conquer, since people whose unemployment benefits run out can’t stimulate the economy if they can’t afford to buy anything.
And of course the Disturber’s misguided position that tax relief for corporations and the extension of the Bush tax cuts hurt the deficit, which is patently false. It is government spending that is the real culprit for the deficit; not tax relief.
Here is an astonishing statement:
Many economists say the rich spend a smaller proportion of their income, so giving money to the poor stimulates the economy more.
So the Disturber believes confiscating money from productive citizens and giving it to the poor stimulates the economy? You couldn’t be more wrong. What stimulates the economy is an environment that is conducive to producing wealth. Government intervention and programs are an impediment to prosperity. This whole economic disaster can be laid at the feet of the federal government.
There was a time in America when the people in the local community took care of their own. They could judge best who was in need and who was gaming the system. The editors at the Charlotte Observer have lost faith in their community. They trust the judgment of a federal bureaucrat over their neighbors.

The Death of our Republic
It didn’t happen overnight, and yet it didn’t take long for it to happen. We are losing our republic. Our founding fathers established a nation that would ensure a maximum amount of liberty by putting limitations on a central government. They knew that the natural tendencies of men and government were to accumulate power onto themselves.
Now we have huge bureaucracies that are being established in Washington D.C. with the power to reach into our everyday lives. They have become modern day barons, and we're the serfs who give them a reason to get up in the morning.
It was Woodrow Wilson who provided the vision for today’s America. He envisioned a politics-administrative model where Congress would act as the political wing of the federal government and the executive branch and its army of bureaucrats would establish policy. It’s they who would make the rules and regulate every facet of our lives, whether we liked it or not; and the Constitution be damned.
Congress has willingly abrogated their responsibilities. They pass 2500 page bills without reading them, while creating new agencies to interpret the monstrosity they gave birth too. These bureaucrats make the rules and have the force of law to see them through.
The Progressives are reaping the fruits of their labor and we the people were too busy toiling in the fields to see it coming. A coup d’état has taken place in America and not one shot was fired.

Democrats Have "Final Solution" for Entitlement Programs
Today the Social Security benefit retirement age is 66 for people born from 1943 to 1954; those born in 1960 or later will get full benefits at age 67. Now, our elected representatives want to raise the retirement age to 70 in an effort to keep the New Deal program viable. They are basically hoping that you will not live long enough to collect.
The baby boomer generation is the most selfish generation that this nation has had the misfortune to give birth too. It is they who have implemented disastrous government programs and spending that will burden future generations to come.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) stated the following:
“We’re lying to ourselves and our children if we say we can maintain our current levels of entitlement spending, defense spending and taxation without bankrupting our country,” he said.
“We could and should consider a higher retirement age or one pegged to life span, more progressive Social Security and Medicare benefits, and a stronger safety net for the Americans who need it the most.”
Well, what do you know, a moment of lucidity from one of the chief spendthrifts on Capitol Hill.
Don’t worry; the Democrats are engineering a more “progressive” system to deal with the aged and infirm. The appointment of Dr. Donald Berwick, who believes in rationing health care, has a “final solution” for those pesky seniors who refuse to die. Dr. Death will ensure the survival of the entitlement programs; even if you don’t.
Rep. John Spratt is a Nancy Pelosi Hireling
Rep. John Spratt (D-SC) is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee. Mr. Spratt has decided to pass his constitutional responsibility over to a federal commission that answers to the executive branch. In effect Mr. Spratt has abdicated his committee and his chairmanship to Barack Obama.
Mr. Spratt is obviously ashamed to provide a budget and expose the outlandish spending spree the democrats have been on in the past two years. If the citizens of of this great country were to see the insurmountable deficits that has accrued, an angry outcry would shake the very foundations of the nation's capitol.
Mr. John Spratt represents the 5th District of South Carolina. I'm sure it would surprise his constituents that he votes 98% of the time with Nancy Pelosi. I didn't know that the northern part of South Carolina has the same values as San Francisco.
The 5th District of South Carolina has some soul searching to do. Are you going to vote for a Nancy Pelosi hireling, or are you going to vote for representation that befits South Carolinians?

Birmingham, England: An Islamic Safari
A Muslim diaspora has taken over Birmingham, England. The industrial city that produced great bands like Judas Priest and Black Sabbath, now has bands of jihadist and Mohammedan punks who terrorize Britons who dare walk down the street.
Watch as two brave Englishman drive into the deep safari of mosques, burkas, falafels, graffiti, and general urban decay. Will they make it out alive, or will they have their heads handed to them on a plate...literally.

Lanny Davis's "Debt Free" House of Cards
Rep. Chaka Fatta (D-Pa) introduced bill H.R. 4646 entitled “Debt Free American Act” in February. The bill is different than a VAT tax in that it allows for a 1% tax credit for couples who make $250,000 or less ($125,000 for singles). The Treasury Department will have discretionary powers for further exemptions that may accommodate the poor.
As for Mr. Davis’s optimism on cutting spending, the House of Representatives failed to pass a budget this year; instead they passed the buck onto the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. How can you expect to reduce spending when congress doesn’t have the courage to face their constitutional responsibilities? Do you seriously believe that they will adhere to the proposals of a national commission that would sacrifice their sacred cows? I don’t think so.
The proceeds of the “transaction tax” would be put in a lock box, which a group of “trustees” (more government bureaucrats) held the key. Congress and the Treasury Department supposedly wouldn’t have access to the largess. To ensure that politicians wouldn’t pass a law that would raid the fund (much like what happened to social security), Mr. Davis proposes that future lawmakers are to make a pledge not to touch the mountain of cash until the national debt is paid off.
Mr. Davis do you seriously believe a politician will keep his promise? I must say for a Washington insider you’re either naïve or playing us for a bunch of chumps. Considering your association with the Clintons, I’m betting on the latter.
If we really want to reduce the debt, we have to rediscover our founding fathers and repudiate the progressive movement. We can start by taking power away from special interest in Washington D.C. and bring it back to the states where it belongs. We can start by repealing the 17th Amendment and then abolishing the progressive tax system.

Donald Berwick: Another Socialist Feather in Obama's Hat
The American people didn't have the benefit of a confirmation hearing. Democratic Senator Max Baucus, who heads the committee, refused to put Mr. Berwick on the docket. After the beating democrats took on passing the health care bill against the will of the American people, it is safe to assume that they didn't want to be embarrassed by an admitted socialist that is Dr. Berwick.
Senate republicans vented their indignation:
"This recess appointment is an insult to the American people," Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said Tuesday night. "Dr. Berwick is a self-professed supporter of rationing health care, and he won't even have to explain his views to the American people in a Congressional hearing."
Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, accused the administration of showing "arrogance of power" with the move.
"This demonstrates a troubling pattern by this administration to force a dangerous agenda on the American people by whatever means necessary," he said.
Barack Obama has added another socialist feather to his hat. If you have any doubts about the radical nature of this president then you're an idiot.

House Democrats Abdicate Constitutional Responsibility
The House was supposed to provide a budget. It was due back in April, but the overindulgent spending by the democrats was so daunting that the majority was afraid to pass a traditional budget; instead they passed a "budget enforcement resolution". All republicans including 38 democrats voted against it.
Rep. John Spratt (D) of South Carolina stated the following:
“While this resolution does not project the budget out over five years, it does look to the future by assuring that the House will have an opportunity to vote this year on longer-term budget proposals made by the president’s Fiscal Commission and approved by the Senate,” said House Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt (D-S.C.).
So the executive branch is taking over the duties of Congress? The House of Representatives is supposed to control the purse strings. And the democrats were worried about an imperial presidency under Bush? Where is the screaming and hollering from the left?
Rep. Paul Ryan (R) of Wisconsin stated his disgust:
“Facing a record deficit and a tidal wave of debt, House Democrats decided it was politically inconvenient to put forward a budget and account for their fiscal recklessness,” said Rep. Paul Ryan (Wis.), the top Republican on the House Budget Committee. “With no priorities and no restraints, the spending, taxing, and borrowing will continue unchecked for the coming fiscal year."
This is the first time since 1976 that the House failed to provide a budget, and that year Jimmy Carter was elected. If the democrats believe that hiding their irresponsible spending is going to save their asses in November, they've got another think coming.

NASA's New Mission
NASA has a new mission. Instead of exploring the final frontier, the space agency has a new directive by the Obama Administration. They're now to serve as therapist to the Muslims. This according to a NASA administrator:
“When I became the NASA administrator, [Obama] charged me with three things,” NASA head Charles Bolden told al-Jazeera. “One, he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”
I wonder if the United States is going to hand out that-a-boy trophies to every Muslim in the world. Why not? We do that with kids today. Here's a trophy loser. Thanks for playing. After all, we don't want to offend anyone.
Obama's concern for the ego massaging of Muslims may hit close to home. It would explain the thin skinned nature of our venerable president. Egypt's foreign minister Ahmed Abul Gheit stated on public television that Barack Obama confessed the following:
he had had a one on one meeting with Obama who swore to him that he was a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father and step-son of Muslim step-father, that his half-brothers in Kenya were Muslims, and that he was loyal to the Muslim agenda. He asked that the Muslim world show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic American problems (Healthcare), that he would show the Muslim world what he would do with Israel
But Israel will have to wait because NASA has a new mission. John F. Kennedy's vision of landing on the moon doesn't compare to the huge black hole that mires the psyche of Muslims. Let's forget about supremacy in space. We don't need space shuttles or rockets; we can farm that out to the Russians. Besides, if you can't trust Putin; than who can you trust?
