Russia, Russia, Russia!

Russia, Russia, Russia!  I'm beginning to wonder if Jan Brady has become the dark lord of all media.  Since the election, a manufactured lie has overtaken the news cycle.  Democrats and their propaganda masters want us to believe the Trump administration is infested with Russian operatives.  They can’t prove anything, but they persist in this narrative.  To be quite honest, I’ve had enough and have tuned out.  I can’t even watch Fox News because of this crap.

I recently subscribed to Netflix and a whole new world has opened up to me.  I am a documentary fool and this venue is paradise.  A couple of nights ago, I watched Liberating a Continent: John Paul II and the Fall of Communism.  I swear every documentary I watch on totalitarian regimes the following tactics are employed:

Suppress the Christian faith

Take over schools and indoctrinate children

Attack the family unit

Instill a politically correct environment

Criminalize political foes

Does that sound familiar?  It should because Progressives are employing these tactics right here in the United States.

There are plenty of remarkable observations in this documentary, but the one that stood out for me was the Solidarity movement in Poland.  The narrator stated the Soviet Union boasted they had created a workers’ paradise.  However, the Poles didn’t feel that way; they wanted freedom and self-government.

The narrator commented American socialists couldn’t understand the Solidarity movement.  Maybe they would understand it better had they lived under a totalitarian regime.

I will say Pope John Paul II was an amazing man.  He understood the insidious nature of socialism/communism.  Maybe someone will send a copy of this documentary to the current Vicar of Christ.

Obama Snubs Polish Freedom Fighter, While Honoring Socialist Activist

Home many times have we heard from the Democrats that Obama isn’t a socialist? Yet, the Anointed One consistently reaffirms our assertions, in spite of the protestations of the left. The latest example is his treatment of Polish hero and freedom fighter Lech Walesa:

According to the Wall Street Journal, Polish officials requested that Walesa accept the Medal of Freedom on behalf of Jan Karski, a member of the Polish Underground during World War II who was being honored posthumously this week. The request makes sense. Walesa and Karski shared a burning desire to rid Poland of tyrannical subjugation. But President Obama said no.

Administration officials told the Journal that Walesa is too “political.” A man who was arrested by Soviet officials for dissenting against the government for being “political” is being shunned by the United States of America for the same reason 30 years later.

Meanwhile,
one of the recipients of the Medal was Dolores Huerta, the honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America. So socialist politics are acceptable, but not the politics of a man who stood up and fought socialism.

Let’s get this straight. Obama refuses to allow a legitimate freedom fighter and friend of the United States to accept a posthumous award on behalf of another Polish hero; but he’ll bestow the Medal of Freedom unto Dolores Huerta – a known socialist, political activist, and friend of tyrants like Hugo Chavez. This woman is the anti-thesis of the honor bestowed upon her.

When the Progressives protest the accusation that Obama is a socialist, be sure to point to this insult.

Poland's New Board Game

A new board game is being produced in Poland. It is a game grounded in historical fact, and is intended to help teach today’s youth about the evils of communism. Spiegel Online reports:

A Polish research institute has developed a board game to teach young people about life under Communism. In the game, which is inspired by Monopoly, players must wait in endless lines at stores for scarce goods. For added realism, they have to put up with people cutting in line and products running out -- unless they have a "colleague in the government" card.

There are no glamorous avenues for sale, nor can players erect hotels, charge rent or make pots of money. In fact, a new Polish board game inspired by the classic Monopoly is all about communism rather than capitalism.

The goal of the game, which will officially be launched on Feb. 5, is to show how hard and frustrating it was for an average person to simply do their shopping under the Communist regime in Poland. The game has been developed by the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), a Warsaw-based research institute that commemorates the suffering of the Polish people during the Nazi and Communist eras.

I wonder if this game will make it to the U.S.A.? I know of a group of people who desperately need to play this game, and I wouldn’t mind sending it to them:
