American Progressive Wants Egyptian Style Revolution
This American socialist wants an Egyptian style revolution. This guy is so typical . He doesn't understand what is about to happen to these people.
Revolutions seldom workout as planned. I'm afraid the Egyptian people are about to find that out. If they thought their current dictator was bad, wait until the Muslim Brotherhood takes over. And this so-called American will move onto the next protest without batting an eye over the deprivations of his fellow Egyptian revolutionaries.
Enjoy your freedom libtard.
Senator "Slug" Schumer's Three Branches of Government
I wondered when this slug was going to crawl out from under a rock. Senator Chucky Schumer was absent this past election year. I guess he knows when to shut his mouth. Now that November is over, anyone with a camera had better watch out, or get mugged.
Here he is pontificating on the three branches of the federal government. The problem is he left out the judiciary. And he is on that committee!!

John Holdren Wants to "Educate Us" on Global Warming
Obama’s science czar wants to “educate” us on our wrongheadedness on global warming, now called climate change:
“It is an education problem. I think we have to educate them,” said John Holdren, who heads the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, in an interview broadcast Sunday.
The Obama administration needs its propaganda arm, because the 112th Congress isn’t buying their pseudo science.
“We need better energy technology both to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, to improve the environment, including reducing our contribution to climate change, and to create the jobs in clean energy, the new products, the new businesses that will stay in America, while meeting our growing energy needs,” Holdren said.
He later added: “The president realizes that we need all the new energy sources we can get. We need energy sources that reduce our contribution to production of greenhouse gases that are altering the climate, we need those new energy sources to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and we need them to stay competitive in a global market.”
I wonder what techniques they will use to re-educate us. They've targeted the children and put them in camps known as public schools. Cass Sustein may have to do the same with us recalcitrants. You know, give us a little push:
Our betters want us to be like the ox and have no thought. The government will provide everything. We must honor the children whose minds are not corrected by the past. Now is year zero and everything is to start anew.

North Carolinian’s Are Addicted to Credit Cards
North Carolinians are addicted to their credit cards. Out of the top 20 credit card debtors in the country, the Tar Heel state boast 6 cities with Wilmington ranked at the top. This according to the Charlotte Observer:
Where are people most addicted to their plastic? Apparently it's Wilmington, whose residents seem to love (or maybe just need) their credit cards more than anywhere else in the country.
That's according to data from Equifax, one of the national companies that compiles credit reports on consumers. According to a just-released study from Equifax, people in Wilmington owe an average of 17.26 percent of their income to credit cards, more than any other U.S. city. Maybe it's just a coincidence, or maybe it's something in the water, but the seaside haven is also the hometown of two of the three N.C.-based banks that have failed during the financial crisis.
City | Median income | Average credit card debt | Percent of income owed to credit cards |
1. Wilmington | $42,392 | $7,315 | 17.26% |

South Carolina Businesses Lose License Over Illegal Alien Hire
Two South Carolina businesses were fined and lost licenses after they failed an illegal alien audit. The Post and Courier reports:
MYRTLE BEACH -- South Carolina labor officials have issued about $1,500 in fines and suspended the licenses of two businesses in the six months since the state's new immigration law went into effect for small businesses.
The state did more than 1,800 audits during that time, focusing on industries that typically employ immigrants, such as landscaping, construction and hospitality, Jim Knight, the head of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation's Office of Immigrant Worker Compliance, told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach.
About 90 percent have had no violations, and most of those with problems corrected them within three days and didn't have to pay fines, Knight said.
We need to have one of those audits in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. I know damn well that 90% of businesses around here couldn’t make that boast. Anyone who has been on a construction site could clearly see the rampant disregard for the nation’s immigration laws; and for that fact the value of citizenship.
The Employment Security Commission reported this past Monday that N.C. unemployment jumped up to 9.8% as reported by the Associated Press:
RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina's unemployment rate edged up to 9.8 percent in December, ending a year that saw virtually no improvement in the number of workers drawing a paycheck, the Employment Security Commission reported Monday.
The number of people employed in North Carolina fell by 2,121 in December while the number of people on the job or looking for work rose by about the same amount, the agency said. That caused North Carolina's unemployment rate to inch up from 9.7 percent in November.
Take a look at the loss in the construction industry. This doesn’t account for all of the jobs that illegal aliens have taken from U.S. citizens:
The construction industry dropped nearly 4,000 jobs in December after adjusting for seasonal differences, the Employment Security Commission said. Professional and business services were the big gainer during the month, adding 3,600 jobs, the agency said
If one of those audits ever took place in the Piedmont area, there would be a lot of businesses quaking in their boots.

Charlotte Observer's Bipartisanship Crocodile Tears
Somebody pass a Kleenex box to Charlotte Observer’s associate editor, Jack Betts. His editorial entitled, “Have things really changed?” is soaked with crocodile tears. His lamentation on the hope that the new republican majority in North Carolina’s General Assembly would see the light after years of abuse by democrats has fallen to the wayside; bipartisanship is laid prostrate to vengeance.
It’s funny to see and hear all this teeth gnashing and wailing about bipartisanship coming from the Disturber, when none of this talk was ever heard of during the Democrat’s reign of terror.
You ask what the source of this angst is. Well, let’s hear from Mr. Betts himself:
In the House, new Speaker Thom Tillis had campaigned on a "Think jobs" platform and his ideas for opening the place to new ways of doing things were just the ticket: Focus on the economy, fix a huge budget shortfall, get North Carolinians back to work.
Except the first thing to come out of committee was not a budget matter or a jobs bill. It was a bill prohibiting enforcement of a new federal law requiring the nation's citizens to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty. Republicans rammed it through the House Judiciary Committee in a few hours, rejecting calls for a public hearing, and insisting to anyone who thought it deserved more discussion that they had had plenty of time to think about it. After all, a similar bill had been introduced in the last legislature.
Excuses of the lamest kind
This is not the lamest excuse for an argument I have heard in more than three decades of covering the legislature, but it's among the top 10. Rep. Billy Watkins, a sometimes brutal Democrat who loved to cram bitter pills down Republican throats, would have appreciated the technique.
Of course the progressives believe that just because a battle has been won, the war is over:
Former Speaker Joe Hackney, now House minority leader, has lived through several power shifts. He summed up what a lot of people were thinking as the Republican bill moved toward approval along party lines. "They said this session was about jobs, not about fighting old ideological battles," Hackney said. "I guess we now have the answer to that."
I guess the state of the union would have been completely different had the North quit after the first Battle of Bull Run. One battle a war doesn’t make. Republicans won the majority, and one of their mandates was to fight Obamacare; the war continues on.
But of course, Mr. Betts doesn’t understand that. He believes its gamesmanship:
I hope that's not the final answer. It's too early for Republicans to squander their credibility by doing unto Democrats what Democrats have for so long and so enthusiastically done unto them.
Wiser heads in the party know that. But first impressions are lasting impressions, and an early impression is that the 2011 General Assembly is off to a fast start - but some things haven't changed all that much.
North Carolina Republicans know why they were sent to Raleigh, and if they are wise they will fight Obamacare.

Rep. Heath Shuler's Federal Power Grab
Rep Heath Shuler of the 11th district of North Carolina has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives that would prohibit the general assembly of individual states from redistricting. This bill mandates an independent commission to oversee what is a constitutionally protected prerogative reserved to the states. We are witnessing another federal power grab, and Heath Shuler is the culprit.
N.C. Freedom reports the following:
Mr. Shuler is introducing legislative that is not only unconstitutional; it is a direct assault on the voting rights of the people. This attempt to eliminate redistricting in the new state general assembly at the federal level is indicative on how corrupt Washington has become. It is a prime example why the people of North Carolina must stand up and defend our state’s rights against federal tyranny. So the question becomes one of purpose: what is the motive for Mr. Shuler to maintain a gerrymandered voting system that will not impact his next election?
H.R.453
Latest Title: To prohibit States from carrying out more than one Congressional redistricting after a decennial census and apportionment, to require States to conduct such redistricting through independent commissions, and for other purposes.

Latest Major Action: 1/26/2011 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
Mike McIntyre (D-NC 7) is co-sponsoring this legislation along with 17 other traitors. I do not use this term lightly but let’s look at the definition of a traitor:
One who betrays one’s country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.
These representatives have betrayed the trust of their constituents by trying to maintain a system of voter fraud to win elections.

Rep Schiff, Adam B. [CA-29] – 1/26/2011
Rep Schrader, Kurt [OR-5] – 1/26/2011
The North Carolina General Assembly can address this issue by enacting a recall amendment to our state’s constitution through Article XIII.
Our new US House of Representatives can also take action under the Constitution:
Article I, Section 5, Clause 2: Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.
I think Mr. Shuler’s actions have earned him a place in history as the seventh member of the US House to be expelled by his peers.
David DeGerolamo
If you want a tangible sign of the corruption and abuse by North Carolina Democrats, then take a look at the above map. This has to be one of the worst cases of gerrymandering in the history of the country; and Rep. Heath Shuler wants to protect it.

Jerry Springer's It's a Liberal Life
Jerry Springer, the clown of daytime television, has proclaimed victory for the liberal agenda. According to the freak show ringmaster, we all live a liberal life. And we only use conservative speech to sound more adult.
I would say that is quite an admission from someone who makes his living displaying the childish antics of others.

Why Isn't North Carolina Joining Obamacare Lawsuits?
Many are asking why North Carolina isn’t joining other states in a lawsuit to stop Obamacare. The answer is our state’s Attorney General Roy Cooper. The newly elected Republican majority is passing a bill to force this mule headed moron to act:
Republican lawmakers say the bill is designed to force Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper to join 26 other states in a lawsuit challenging the federal health care law's constitutionality or to defend the state law banning the insurance mandate.
"This is designed to protect the vast majority of our citizens from what we believe to be an unjustified incursion of power," offered House Majority Leader Skip Stam.
Cooper has refused to join litigation by other states. He sent ABC11 the following statement Thursday:
"The Attorney General must uphold state and federal laws, but if they conflict, the US Constitution and federal law prevail. A state law that authorizes North Carolina citizens to violate federal law could be found to be unconstitutional. The federal health law is deemed Constitutional until the federal appellate courts conclude otherwise."
No Mr. Cooper, you are to defend North Carolinians from the abuses of an overreaching federal government. The ninth and tenth amendments state that whatever is not enumerated in the Constitution is reserved to the states and ultimately to the people.
Attorney General Roy Cooper refuses to do his duty. There must be some provision in North Carolina’s Constitution that could force his removal.

Unions Granted Obamacare Waivers
The Washington Examiner is reporting an inordinate amount of Obamacare waivers has been granted to unions. If you think they are laughing and calling all of us a bunch of suckers; you'd be right:
Yesterday, the Deparment of Health and Human Services announced it had granted more than 500 new waivers to Obamacare's requirement that health plans have annual limits of no less than $750,000. This annual limit requirement climbs to $1.25 million next year and then to $2 million.
The reason these exemptions from the law are needed is that Obamacare forces all health insurance consumers to over-insure themselves and pay high premiums as a result. Without the waivers, many companies, non-profits and unions would simply drop their health plans. As of 2014, the waivers will no longer be available -- at least, that's the way the law is written.
It is worth noting that there are 166 union benefits funds now exempted from this requirement, which account for about 40 percent of the exempted workers. This means that although there are only 14.6 million unionized employees in the United States, and 860,000 of them are already exempted from this provision of Obamacare.

Senators to Submit Anti-Anchor Baby Bill
Two republican senators are going to introduce a bill that will finally ban citizenship rights to illegal alien children born on U.S. soil. All Americans are wondering why this common sense law hasn’t been implemented years ago. Anchor babies have been a bane to states and local communities. It is also immoral to politically separate a child from his parents.
The Hill Reports the following:
Rand Paul (Ky.) and David Vitter (La.) are introducing a resolution this week that would amend the Constitution so that a person born in the United States could only become an American citizen if one or more of his or her parents is a legal citizen, legal immigrant or member of the armed forces, according to a joint press release Thursday.
Vitter said the legislation would help reduce illegal immigration.
“For too long, our nation has seen an influx of illegal aliens entering our country at an escalating rate, and chain migration is a major contributor to this rapid increase – which is only compounded when the children of illegal aliens born in the U.S. are granted automatic citizenship,” Vitter said. “Closing this loophole will not prevent them from becoming citizens, but will ensure that they have to go through the same process as anyone else who wants to become an American citizen.”
Paul said the legislation enforces the current immigration rules.
"Citizenship is a privilege, and only those who respect our immigration laws should be allowed to enjoy its benefits," Paul said. "This legislation makes it necessary that everyone follow the rules, and goes through same process to become a U.S. citizen."
We now have to pass a Constitutional amendment because a handful of judges misinterpreted the 14th amendment. If this ever passes, you can bet some dumb ass judge will say this constitutional amendment is unconstitutional.

Rep. Paul Ryan Stood Up Obama on Date Night
I have to admit, I was completely surprised at the non-exuberance at the State of the Union Address last night. We’re used to one side cheering, jumping up and down and goading the other party to join them. That didn’t happen. Pelosi in the box must have broken a spring. Did someone spike the punch? Was everyone on medications? Hell, even the congress that impeached Bill Clinton showed more enthusiasm than this band of downers. Date night turned into dud night. I wonder if anyone is expecting a return phone call.
You hang up. No, I’ll hang up. You hang up. You didn’t hang up!!
The one bright spot was Rep. Paul Ryan’s response speech:
The Charlotte Observer Edits AP Report on State of the Union
The Charlotte Observer edited the Associated Press’s article on last night’s State of the Union Address.
Here is the beginning of Calvin Woodward’s article in its entirety:
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The ledger did not appear to be adding up Tuesday night when President Barack Obama urged more spending on one hand and a spending freeze on the other.
Obama spoke ambitiously of putting money into roads, research, education, efficient cars, high-speed rail and other initiatives in his State of the Union speech. He pointed to the transportation and construction projects of the last two years and proposed "we redouble these efforts." He coupled this with a call to "freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years."
But Obama offered far more examples of where he would spend than where he would cut, and some of the areas he identified for savings are not certain to yield much if anything.
For example, he said he wants to eliminate "billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies." Yet he made a similar proposal last year that went nowhere. He sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next decade, but Congress largely ignored the request, even though Democrats were then in charge of both houses of Congress.
A look at some of Obama's statements Tuesday night and how they compare with the facts:
Now for the Charlotte Observer’s version:

Chicago Thugs Get Obamacare Waiver
Crony capitalism isn’t just for big corporations anymore. The Obama administration has issued temporary waivers for his homies in Chicago. That’s right local SEIU thugs are getting a reprieve from Obamacare while the rest of us are about to get screwed. CNS reports:
(CNSNews.com) – Three local chapters of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), whose political action committee spent $27 million supporting Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election, have received temporary waivers from a provision in the Obamacare law.
The three SEIU chapters include the Local 25 in Obama’s hometown of Chicago.
The waivers allow health insurance plans to limit how much they will spend on a policy holder’s medical coverage for a given year. Under the new health care law, however, such annual limits are phased out by the year 2014. (Under HHS regulations, annual limits can be no less than $750,000 for 2011, no less than $1.25 million in 2012 and no less than $2 million in 2013.)
Obama has been there for SEIU from the very beginning. And he is there for them at the expense of all of us. Isn’t America Great!!

Republicans Played for Chumps Again!!
How many times do we conservatives have to put up with this “Let’s get along” and “We must work together" crap? The reason the country’s finances are in such a mess is because there has been too much “getting along” between the two parties.
What are the Republicans going to do when their date pulls a Jack in the Box episode, like Nancy Pelosi? Are they going to sit on their hands? No, they will fall prey to the machinations of their bench buddy and pop up and down right along with their dates.
Why is it that we “little people” can see this nonsense for what it is, and the professional politicians can’t?
Victim Politics Has Arrived!
It sure didn’t take long for the left to start playing victim politics. An ad targeting Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina portrays a woman named Agnes, who is a librarian with a torn rotator cup, pleading that the meanie from the Palmetto State not raise the retirement age for social security.
I’m sorry Agnes, but I’m going to have to rain on your pity party. If you can’t do your job, then you can apply for workman’s compensation. Agnes is lucky that she can do this. Unlike contractors who are forced to pay into the system and by law can’t collect. How perverse is that Agnes? I guess the small business owner is screwed again.
I know of a deck builder, who has for the past 14 years been working with unbelievable pain. He pops painkillers and Goody’s aspirin and still works his ass off. And believe me Agnes, pretreated lumber is a hell of a lot heavier than a book; and I’ve never heard of him complaining about his social security. As a matter of fact, what he does complain about is how much money he has to pay the IRS. I guess that is the difference between a small business owner and a government employee.

Poland's New Board Game
A new board game is being produced in Poland. It is a game grounded in historical fact, and is intended to help teach today’s youth about the evils of communism. Spiegel Online reports:
A Polish research institute has developed a board game to teach young people about life under Communism. In the game, which is inspired by Monopoly, players must wait in endless lines at stores for scarce goods. For added realism, they have to put up with people cutting in line and products running out -- unless they have a "colleague in the government" card.
There are no glamorous avenues for sale, nor can players erect hotels, charge rent or make pots of money. In fact, a new Polish board game inspired by the classic Monopoly is all about communism rather than capitalism.
The goal of the game, which will officially be launched on Feb. 5, is to show how hard and frustrating it was for an average person to simply do their shopping under the Communist regime in Poland. The game has been developed by the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), a Warsaw-based research institute that commemorates the suffering of the Polish people during the Nazi and Communist eras.
I wonder if this game will make it to the U.S.A.? I know of a group of people who desperately need to play this game, and I wouldn’t mind sending it to them:

Noam Chomsky's Nervous Breakdown
Noam Chomsky the philosopher, political activist, and in his spare time a linguistics professor at M.I.T. is bemoaning the results of last Novembers election. The elitist emeritus is biting his fingernails over the impudence of the unwashed masses and their rejection of the progressive agenda. The demigod deigned to come down from Mt. Olympus and gave an interview. Here is an excerpt:
“There’s other factors like the anger, and the fear and hostility in the country about everything carries over to this,” Chomsky said. “So if you look at polls, everyone hates Congress. They hate the Democrats. They hate the Republicans even more. They hate big business. They hate banks and they distrust scientists. So why should we believe what these pointy-head elitist are telling? We don’t trust anything else. We don’t trust them.”
And with good reason. But what disturbs his majesty the most is the outright refutation of anthropogenic global warming and what that means with the new republicans taking over House committees:
“One of the reasons is because they’re global warming deniers,” he said. “Almost all – that means the powerful House committees, like science and technology and so on, are in hands of people who think there’s nothing to it – or at least claim that they think that, but what they actually think is another story.”
Does Noam Chomsky live in a bubble? Take a look outside yahoo! I guess the Noam hasn’t heard of ClimateGate either. Maybe Professor Elitist Emeritus should read other magazines other than The Nation.
This hostile takeover has set the genius of M.I.T. into a feverish mind melting breakdown. The end of the world is coming, and it’s all because the “little people” rose up and threw the paternalistic snobs out of office:
“If this was happening in some small country, in you know maybe Monaco or something, it wouldn’t matter much, but when it’s happening in the richest, most powerful country in the world – it’s a danger to the survival of the species,” Chomsky said. “Nobody else is going to do much if the United States doesn’t do a lot, not just some but take the lead. So we’re essentially saying let’s kiss each other goodbye.”
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the philosopher king huddled in a corner, sucking his thumb and clutching his blanket.

Olberdouche Thrown Out With The Trash
Keith Olbermann was thrown out with the trash last night. His last broadcast was as unimpressive as his ratings. Good luck on finding a job. There isn't a huge market for loud mouth jerks. Maybe Olberdouche can be appointed a czar in the Obama administration. They're always looking to hire social misfits who have an ax to grind against this country.
Is it any wonder that fellow loud mouth and elitist snob, Bill Maher is shedding a tear in his beer. Hey Bill why don't you hire him? I guess the cacophony of leftist rants would be too much for your pittance of an audience to bear.

Rep. Anthony Weiner's Drunken Obamacare Sex Tape
I wonder how many shots Rep. Anthony Weiner had before he made this rant on the House floor. Wow… talk about beer goggles! He couldn’t have sexed up Obamacare anymore had he been on a three day binge in a retirement home for prostitutes.
I just hope that he visits a pharmacist after this condom free sex tape. But after Obamacare, he may have to visit a federal bureaucrat to qualify for some penicillin.
Secretary Geithner Begs For More Money
Timothy Geithner, Obama’s treasury secretary, announced that the federal government is broke and the debt ceiling needs to be raised. In a letter to Congress, he further states that not doing so would be irresponsible:
Never in our history has Congress failed to increase the debt limit when necessary. Failure to raise the limit would precipitate a default by the United States. Default would effectively impose a significant and long-lasting tax on all Americans and all American businesses and could lead to the loss of millions of American jobs. Even a very short-term or limited default would have catastrophic economic consequences that would last for decades. Failure to increase the limit would be deeply irresponsible. For these reasons, I am requesting that Congress act to increase the limit early this year, well before the threat of default becomes imminent.
I will say never before in our history have we had a bunch of irresponsible brats run up a 14 trillion dollar debt. Notice that Mr. Geithner doesn’t mention anything about cutting spending. According to this genius, which by the way was the only man qualified for this job, if we don’t raise the debt ceiling, it would be an economic catastrophe that would last generations; unlike of course expanding the federal bureaucracy and taking over whole areas of the private sector.
The Genius of D.C continues:
As you know, in February of 2010 Congress passed legislation to increase the debt limit to $14.29 trillion. As of this writing, the outstanding debt that is subject to the limit stands at $13.95 trillion, leaving approximately $335 billion of “headroom” beneath the current limit. Because of the inherent uncertainty associated with tax receipts and refunds during the spring tax filing season, as well as other variable factors, it is not possible at this point to predict with precision the date by which the debt limit will be reached. However, the Treasury Department now estimates that the debt limit will be reached as early as March 31, 2011, and most likely sometime between that date and May 16, 2011. This estimate is subject to change depending on the performance of the economy, government receipts, and other factors. This means it is necessary for Congress to act by the end of the first quarter of 2011.
And we all know how well the economy has performed over the past couple of years. The Lord of the Potomac warns that failure to raise the debt limit would result in a government shutdown:
Reaching the debt limit would mean the Treasury would be prevented by law from borrowing in order to pay obligations the Nation is legally required to pay, an event that has no precedent in American history. Such a default should be understood as distinct from a temporary government shutdown resulting from failure to enact appropriations bills, which occurred in late 1995 and early 1996. Those government shutdowns, which were unwise and highly disruptive, did not have the same long-term negative impact on U.S. creditworthiness as a default would, because there was headroom available under the debt limit at that time.
And that is what probably needs to happen. We need cut out all of these bureaucracies. Whole departments need to go. The shutdown of 1995 and 1996 in D.C. may have been disruptive to that town, but life went on for the rest of us. As a matter of fact, it was a welcomed respite from the disrupting influence of a government bureaucrat.
The nation’s chief beggar pleads on:
For these reasons, any default on the legal debt obligations of the United States is unthinkable and must be avoided. It is critically important that Congress act before the debt limit is reached so that the full faith and credit of the United States is not called into question. The confidence of citizens and investors here and around the world that the United States stands fully behind its legal obligations is a unique national asset. Throughout our history, that confidence has made U.S. government bonds among the best and safest investments available and has allowed us to borrow at very low rates.
I’ve got news for you Mr. Geithner, the confidence of American citizens and investors around the world has called into question the full faith and credit of the United States. There is not enough money in the world to pay for the past promises of politicians, and that bloated leviathan called the U.S. federal government. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) has already informed you of the consequences of our debt and the U.S. bond market:

The Battle Hymn of Palin
I never understood the fear that the left has on Sarah Palin. Now I know why. Thy truth is marching on!!
Reps. Kissell and Shuler Show Their True Colors
Reps. Larry Kissell and Heath Shuler of North Carolina showed their true colors, and it sure as hell wasn’t blue. These two lap dogs jumped into Pelosi’s purse when the votes to repeal Obamacare came up today. Sure, they voted against this monstrosity last year, when they weren’t needed. It was a cynical attempt to persuade their conservative constituents, that they were independent of their lords and masters in the leadership. And they gambled correctly.
Heath Shuler ran against the queen of mean for the party’s leadership. He lost miserably. Now, he’s trying to get back into Nancy’s good graces. Kissell on the other hand took a different approach. He became the regional whip. In other words he is the Sheriff of Nottingham in the southeast.
They say that a leopard can’t change his spots; well a blue dog just changed his colors.
Carolina representatives voted as follows:
For Repeal
• Renee Ellmers (R-NC-02)
• Walter Jones (R-NC-03)
• Virginia Foxx (R-NC-05)

• Joe Wilson (R-SC-02)
• Jeff Duncan (R-SC-03)
• Trey Gowdy (R-SC-04)

Democrats Set New Tone in D.C.
Here comes the Democratic smear machine. Anyone who paid attention to the federal government shutdown in the in 90’s can’t forget how Republicans were smeared by leftist politicians and their lapdogs in the media. Does anyone remember Newsweek’s: The Gingrich Who Stole Christmas? Or how about the Republicans want to kill old people and starve the children?
This time they are not going to get away with it. With the advent of alternative media, their lies and rhetoric will be blunted. The Progressives no longer are the sole proprietors of the bullhorn on the hill. Now, we have a weapon. And I won’t submit to their language censorship.
Not only do they distort what Republicans say, they have to take out of context state insurance law for automobile owners. Is there mandatory insurance for those who don’t drive a car? I guess that whole 10th amendment thing was just a suggestion.
Of course, what is civil discourse without the typical Nazi slur. Way to class it up Rep. Cohen. The new tone in D.C. lasted how long? I wonder which unlucky Republican drew this bench buddy for the State of the Union Address?
Oprah's Federal Government Disconnect
Oprah Winfrey, one of the most successful entrepreneurs of our time, is completely disconnected from reality. She states in an interview that the most tortuous moments come when she has to sign checks to the IRS. Yet, she helped to elect one of the biggest tax and spenders in American history. What is up with that!
She further states that she has empathy for those who have lost their jobs; and are living from paycheck to paycheck. Yet, she can’t empathize with the small business owners who are being strangled by onerous federal laws. These are the same business owners who provide the jobs and the paychecks to those she feels so compassionate about.
Now for the kicker! Oprah has donated millions of dollars to charity. If she has to have shots of tequila now when writing those checks to the feds, I wonder what her response will be when she sees the IRS vultures hovering around her death bed.

Chris Matthews Wearing his White Robe on MLK Day
What planet does Chris Matthews live on? Is this guy a closet racist? He sure seems obsessed by it. I wonder if he secretly wears a bed sheet.

Tucson's Memorial Pep Rally Service
I am completely appalled at what happened at the Tucson, Arizona Memorial Service. The wild cheers and the screaming and clapping was inappropriate. This is supposed to be a solemn event; it turned into a pep rally. I’ve been to memorial services before, and I don’t ever recall a cheering section. Granted I’m sure there are plenty of S.O.B.’s out there who deserve the pom-poms and bullhorns; not one of the victims in Tucson deserved this kind of behavior.
What did the Democrats do? Did they bus in a bunch of SEIU thugs? Is there no reverence for the dead?
Let’s take a look at the itinerary:
The schedule for tonight’s event, as released by the University of Arizona:
– Opening music
– Native American blessing
– Welcome by UA President Robert N. Shelton
– Playing of the National Anthem
– Remarks by President Shelton
– Remarks by UA Student
– Remarks by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer
– Remarks by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano
– Remarks by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder
– Moment of silence
Native American blessing? Really? I’m surprised we didn’t have a Snickers Candy Bar moment, with of course the exception of a Christian participating. After all, they might have been sued by the ACLU.
What an appalling event. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Except that shame is foreign to this crowd.

British Muslims Want to Uproot the System
The British people don't have a bee in their bonnet; they have a scorpion. The Muslim menace believes that democracy, freedom, and capitalism is a false god; and they are going to set things aright.
According to this follower of the prophet of peace, it's a damn shame they can't smack women around in the middle of the street for wearing inappropriate garments. Great Britain has these pesky things called laws that protect women; and well, that just isn't going to do.
Watch this video. These Muslims make no bones about their contempt for western civilization. Yet, they refuse to move back to that third world hell hole from where they came.

Obama's New Symbol Czar
Make way for Obama's new Symbol Czar!!! Bow... scrape do not look the anointed one in the eye.
What? There isn't a Symbol Czar. Well, why not? We have a czar for everything else.
Give it time?
Okay, I was getting a little worried. I mean, I need someone to protect me from myself. After all, Americans need a Czar in every pot.
Senator John Kerry's Favorite Pet: Big Government
Senator John F. Kerry, the man who would be king, has a tear in his beer over the animosity that has been brewing over the ridiculous spending in Washington D.C.. He is fretting over the incoming 112th Congress and what that means to his power:
"Do they want a government too limited to have invented the Internet, now a vital part of our commerce and communications?" he asked at one point.
That's funny, I thought that Al Gore invented the internet.
Kerry also argued that the government's bailout of U.S. auto companies was warranted, and said government-funded research programs should be spared.
"[Do they want a] government too small to give America’s auto industry and all its workers a second chance to fight for their survival? Taxes too low to invest in the research that creates jobs and industries and fills the Treasury with the revenue that educates our children, cures disease, and defends our country?"
As you can see Senator Kerry believes nothing can be done without Big Government. And with the abounding successes of the Feds, I don't know why we aren't clamoring for a bureaucrat in every house. Obviously, the private sector and local communities are so incompetent. It's amazing that we're able to put up a street sign.
And might I add that General Motors or should I say the UAW is a complete success. What do you think will happen first: GM pays back its debt, or they will ask for another bailout? I betting on the latter.
Senator Kerry bemoaned our crumbling infrastructure as well. Like they have done such a bang up job in the past. Instead of fixing our roads and bridges, they funneled money to new projects. Screw that gaping pothole, build that new recreational center that has my name blazoned on it.
You guys in D.C. have been such great stewards. It's a wonder why the American people want to take the checkbook away from you.

Senator Bernie Sanders Blood Fund
Senator Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont) is using the tragedy in Arizona as a fundraiser. This low-life socialist has the audacity to blame right wingers for this heinous crime, when in fact the shooter was a mentally ill leftist. But of course, with all things progressive, facts don't matter. Here is the bottom feeders letter:
“This horrendous act of violence is not some kind of strange aberration for this area where, it appears, threats and acts of violence are part of the political climate,” Sanders said in his letter. “Nobody can honestly express surprise that such a tragedy finally occurred.”
"In light of all of this violence – both actual and threatened – is Arizona a state in which people who are not Republicans are able to participate freely and fully in the democratic process?” asks Sanders. “Have right-wing reactionaries, through threats and acts of violence, intimidated people with different points of view from expressing their political positions?”
“My colleague, Senator John McCain, issued a very strong statement after the shooting in which he condemned the perpetrator of the attack. I commend him for that. But I believe Senator McCain and other Arizona Republicans need to do more,” Sanders said. “As the elder statesman of Arizona politics McCain needs to stand up and denounce the increasingly violent rhetoric coming from the right-wing and exert his influence to create a civil political environment in his state.”
Maybe Bernie can ask these upstanding citizens for some cash. I'm sure they are more than willing to donate to his blood fund:

Rep. James Clyburn: Elitist Extraordinaire
Rep. James Clyburn (D) of South Carolina, and Elitist Extraordinaire, is milking this shooting tragedy in Arizona for every drop he can get. This man is so shameless that he now wants special privileges at airports, as reported by The Hill:
A top House Democrat said the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) should change how members of Congress are screened at airports.
“I really believe that that is the place where we feel the most ill at ease, is going through airports,” Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), who serves as assistant minority leader in the House, said on "Fox News Sunday."
Clyburn called for the Transportation Security Administration, which administers airport security checkpoints, to interact “a little better” with the Capitol Hill Police.
“We’ve had some incidents where TSA authorities think that congress people should be treated like everybody else,” he said. “Well, the fact of the matter is, we are held to a higher standard in so many other areas, and I think we need to take a hard look at exactly how the TSA interact with members of Congress.
You’re held at higher standards? If that were so, then why is Charlie Rangel still in office and not spending time in a federal prison? Why is he not sharing a cell with Tom DeLay?
I’ll tell you where you’re ill at ease: it is at Town Hall meetings. I guess this tragedy is just another excuse to not engage your constituents in a thoughtful forum; and that was well before the congresswoman from Arizona was shot.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rep. James Clyburn drape himself in the purple, and demand his constituents address him as “Your Excellency”.

Father Warns Against Demagoguery at Loss of Daughter
The pain that this father is going through is heart wrenching. What's amazing is how cognizant he is of those who would exploit the death of his daughter in order to gain political points. I'm amazed at his strength of character, and the love of country. A lesser man would've sunk to the temptation of demagoguery.
The whole nation feels his loss.
Free Speech is as Free Speech Does
Everyone knew that the tragic shooting in Arizona would bring the nanny staters out of the dark crevices and into the spotlight. We all knew that the gun grabbers and enemies of free speech would bum rush the stage; seize the microphone and denounce Americans as irresponsible citizens.
Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina just unpacked his favorite box of chocolates:
'Free speech is as free speech does,' he said. 'You cannot yell ‘fire' in a crowded theater and call it free speech and some of what I hear, and is being called free speech, is worse than that.'
Clyburn used as an example a comment made by Sharron Angle, an unsuccessful U.S. senatorial candidate in Nevada, who said the frustrated public may consider turning to 'Second Amendment remedies' for political disputes unless Congress changed course.
Clyburn said the man accused of shooting Giffords did just that.
'He saw a Second Amendment remedy and that's what occurred here and there is no way not to make that connection,' Clyburn said.
Rep James Clyburn has a first amendment remedy to make sure nobody makes that mistake again. He is an advocate of the Fairness Doctrine. On top of that his daughter, named after a favorite steak, is an FCC Commissioner. Ahhh … nepotism. It isn’t just for breakfast anymore.
