Obama: I'm Not a Big Government, Crazy Liberal

Either Barack Obama is delusional or an outright liar.  This man had the balls to stand before the National Governors Association and declare that he’s not a raging, big government liberal.  Here is an excerpt from the Washington Examiner:

President Obama on Monday denied conservative arguments that he's a "big government, crazy liberal," and said instead he has welcomed regulatory reform during his time in office.

Responding to a question from GOP Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan during a National Governors Association luncheon, he asked the governors to send the White House a list of regulations that they find "most illogical and frustrating."

"I don't believe in regulations for regulations sake," he told the governors. "[The idea that] somehow that I get a kick out of big government, is simply not the case.

This man and his administration has passed a record amount of regulations.  Here is an excerpt from the Hill.com:

2015 was a record-setting year for the Federal Register, according to numbers the Competitive Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., released Wednesday.

This year’s daily publication of the federal government’s rules, proposed rules and notices amounted to 81,611 pages as of Wednesday, higher than last year's 77,687 pages and higher than the all-time high of 81,405 pages in 2010 — with one day to go in 2015

Somebody should slap a bullshit detector on this man.

Obamacare Becomes Democratic Party's Albatross

The Democratic Party’s wealth redistribution schemes have become an albatross around their collective necks.  Who would’ve thought Obamacare would become the catalyst for a complete distrust of big government?  Here is an excerpt from an article published by The New American:

Adding fuel to the increasingly anti-government mindset evidenced by the American people is another finding from Gallup that caught the attention of Thomas Edsall, a long-time liberal contributing editor at the New York Times: It’s ObamaCare that completed the shift. Wrote Edsall:

The erosion of the belief in health care as a government-protected right is perhaps the most dramatic reflection of these trends. In 2006, by a margin of more than two to one, 69-28, those surveyed by Gallup said that the federal government should guarantee health care coverage for all citizens of the United States.

By late 2014, however, Gallup found that this percentage had fallen 24 points to 45 percent, while the percentage of respondents who said health care is not a federal responsibility nearly doubled to 52 percent. [Emphasis added.]

Once the real costs of ObamaCare became evident, Americans quickly lost confidence in the government. Those costs are just beginning to surface, with penalties for those opting out increasing greatly over the next couple of years, along with premiums of those forced into buying coverage they otherwise wouldn’t want.

Those increases won’t be limited, either, to just those buying new coverage. Those with existing coverage are seeing their premiums increase greatly, removing any doubt that the costs of ObamaCare, as most other government welfare programs, would be levied on America’s middle class.

Just wait when the baby boomers begin to retire in mass.  There are going to be a lot of pissed off people.

Obama Applauds Government Sanctioned Success

Where would the American people be without big government? According to Barack Obama, we are just a rudderless rabble without the guiding hand of a government bureaucrat:

President Obama tells a college audience that people don't get rich on their own. Obama's point that without government and paying your fair share, ultimately the successful wouldn't be able to get where they are.

"We do not begrudge wealth in this country. I want everybody here to do well. We aspire to financial success, but we also understand that we're not successful just by ourselves," President Obama said at a campaign event in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday morning.

"We're successful because somebody started the University of Michigan. We're successful because somebody made an investment in all the federal research labs that created the internet. We're successful because we have an outstanding military that costs money. We're successful because somebody built roads and bridges. And laid broadband lines and these things didn't just happen on their own. And if we all understand that we've got to pay for this stuff, it makes sense for those of us who've done best to do our fair share and to try to pass off that bill on to somebody else, that's not right. That's not who we are," he said.

Obama doesn’t begrudge success as long as its government sanctioned, and especially if you’re one of his green energy campaign bundlers.

Americans See Big Government More of a Threat than Big Business

Gallup has just published a poll, and the leaders of the Democratic Party should be aghast. A majority of Americans, including democrats, see big government as a threat to our freedom. The OWS farce of demonizing businesses, and capitalism in particular has backfired. Once again, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their coterie of socialist have overplayed their hand, and the people see these corrupt, power mongers for what they are.

Americans' concerns about the threat of big government are near record-high levels. The Occupy Wall Street movement, focused on "fighting back against the corrosive power of major banks and multinational corporations," has drawn much attention and a large following. Still, the majority of Americans do not view big business as the greatest threat to the country when asked to choose among big business, big government, and big labor. In fact, Americans' concerns about big business have declined significantly since 2009.

Additionally, while Occupy Wall Street isn't necessarily affiliated with a particular party, its anti-big business message may not be resonating with majorities in any party. Republicans, independents, and now close to half of Democrats are more concerned about the threat of big government than that coming from big business.

The Big Government Church is not in the Creation Business

For three years, we’ve heard Obama and the Democrats proclaiming the federal government’s commitment to create jobs. Now, Obama’s press secretary admits that the government is not in the creation business. That must be a bitter pill for the Anointed One and the worshippers of the Big Government Church.
