Educators Teach Doctrine of Interdependence Instead of American Independence
When I was a kid, I don’t recall the vitriol and outright hatred of our country as we do today. I’m old enough to remember the bicentennial where even rock stars celebrated an exceptionable moment in world history. Our independence is worthy of being lauded, not condemned.
What could’ve caused this 180 in a span of just 40 years? I don’t think we have to look any further than our educational system and the Progressives who’ve taken it over. These people have plotted to brainwash American children for well over a century; instead of teaching about independence and self-government, educators are emphasizing a doctrine of interdependence. Here is an excerpt from the Tennessee Star:
How did we get from the Declaration of Independence to the State of Political Correctness?
In 1918, Mary Parker Follett wrote, in The New State, group organization would subsume popular government, “The training for the new democracy must be from the cradle – through nursery, school and play, and on and on through every activity of our life. Citizenship is not to be learned in good government classes or current events courses or lessons in civics. It is to be acquired through those modes of living and acting which shall teach us how to grow the social consciousness. This should be the object of all day school education, of all night school education, of all our supervised recreation, of all our family life, of our club life, of our civic life.
“When we change our ideas of the relation of the individual to society, our whole system of education changes. What we want to teach is interdependence, that efficiency waits on discipline, that discipline is obedience to the whole of which I am a part… when we know how to teach social discipline, then we shall know how to ‘teach school.’ The object of education is to fit children into the life of the community.” P.363
In Marquardt’s analysis, the goal Follett set for our education system was the complete reformation of the American mind; our lives must focus completely on losing our individual rights in subordination to the group.
Little wonder that after a century of education influenced by Mary Parker Follett’s ideas vast numbers of Americans believe our country is the source of most of the world’s ills.
If we don’t take back our schools and universities, this country is doomed. A nation of self-loathing citizens will not survive.

The Federal Government Has Not Yet Conquered the American People
What does it mean to be an American? I believe if you asked that question to a modern
day citizen he would be perplexed. Most
wouldn’t know what to say. Some would be
scared and decry that you’re violating their safe space. I’ve come to the conclusion that we have a
serious indentify crisis.
Last week’s presidential debate is indicative of how
far we’ve fallen as a people. No longer
do we contemplate the Constitution of the United States and the principles for
which we stand. Instead, we have central
planners proposing government solutions, usually for problems they caused, by
pandering to the wants of others.
Free stuff is not an American ideal. However, that seems to be the prevailing
sentiment in the Age of Obama. That kind
of attitude is sentient with the seven deadly sins which undermines
self-respect and community spirit.
There is such a thing as American exceptionalism
despite what Democrats say. Alexis de
Tocqueville stated the following:
In America, not only do institutions belong to
the community but also they are kept alive and supported by a community spirit.
The New England township possesses two advantages which strongly arouse the interest of men, namely independence and authority. Its sphere of action is indeed restricted but, within that sphere, its movements are unlimited. This independence alone guarantees it real importance even though its populations and size would not warrant it.
It is best to realize that men’s affections, in general, come down on the side of authority. Patriotism does not long prevail in a conquered nation. The inhabitant of New England is devoted to his township, not because he was born there as much as because he views the township as a strong, free social body of which he is part and which merits the care he devotes to its management.
In Europe, governments often bewail the absence of this community spirit, for everyone agrees that it is an ingredient in public order and tranquility, even though they do not know how to create it. By making the township strong and independent, they are afraid they might disintegrate the social fabric and expose the state to the forces of anarchy. Once you remove the strength and independence of the township, you will reduce the citizens to administrative units.

Democrats have reduced local communities and states
to administrative units. These central
planners demand our undying loyalty while undermining the institutions that
made this country great. Our patriotism
is not to the Federal Government of America.
We are not yet a conquered people.

Tiny Communist Lectures Americans on Patriotism
Robert Reich, a former Secretary of Labor under the Clinton administration, has a unique outlook on what it means to be a patriot. This tiny communist believes open borders and coercive tax policies are the epitome of American values. To him, the American creed is nothing more than a bumper sticker, or a plaque on a statue.
Through most of our
history we’ve understood patriotism the first way. We’ve celebrated the values
and ideals we share in common: democracy, equal opportunity, freedom, tolerance
and generosity.
We’ve recognized
these as aspirations to which we recommit ourselves on the Fourth of July.
This inclusive
patriotism prides itself on giving hope and refuge to those around the world
who are most desperate — as memorialized in Emma Lazarus’ famous lines engraved
on the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses
yearning to breathe free.”
By contrast,
we’re now hearing a strident, exclusive patriotism. It asserts a unique and superior
“Americanism” that’s determined to exclude others beyond our borders.
First of all, we have a representative
republic. Second of all, the ideals that
made America great are the rule of law, a federalist system that embraces
limited government, a common culture and the Christian faith that recognizes our
God given rights are inviolable. Did you
notice not one of the aforementioned made it on Mr. Reich’s list?
Progressives have a knack for bastardizing our
language and history. How many times
have people like this guy condemned our founding fathers and subsequent generations
for not being inclusive; yet, celebrate a fictional version of our
heritage? You have to laugh at these
people!
Mr. Reich also believes the highest form of
patriotism is paying taxes to an overbearing and unconstitutional, centralized
government. I wonder if Mr. Reich is
aware that it took an amendment to force Americans to pay an income tax and
that wasn’t until the 20th Century, and even then they were lied to
about it. The only other time that kind
of tax was forced upon the citizenry was during the American Civil War under
Lincoln and that was quickly abolished after they conquered the South.
I find it laughable that this Bolshevik has the
nerve to lecture us on what it means to be a patriot when he and his ilk sneer
at the values that made our country great.

"Patriotic Millionaires" Not So Patriotic
The Daily Caller exposed these so-called patriot millionaires for what they are: frauds. Given the chance to donate to the federal government to reduce our national debt, they passed.
No, these patriots want to force others through means of taxation than "invest" their money into a corrupt blackhole that is the D.C. bureaucratic machine.
A round of thanks should be given to the Daily Caller.

13 Year Old Restores Honor to American Flag
This is disturbing. A boy cannot display an American flag on his bike for fear of harm. What in the hell is going on in this country? We now have a bewildered Congressman apologizing to a little boy that was shamed into taking down his flag. We as a people have some self-introspection to do. More importantly, we need to come to resolve on those who threaten violence to Americans who display patriotism in our own country.

Hyphenated-Americans Demand Respect
A couple of days ago, students at a Morgan Hill, California high school were sent home for wearing clothing that displayed patriotic symbols, such as the American flag. It was Cinco de Mayo and the vice principal thought Old Glory was inappropriate on such a revered day as the fifth of May.
Now, Hyphenated-American students are marching in the streets, demanding respect for their heritage:
About 200 Hispanic teens are marching in Morgan Hill yelling "We want respect!" and "Si se puede!" in reaction to a controversy ignited when the Live Oak High School principal effectively sent four students home for wearing T-shirts with American flags on them during Cinco de Mayo. Mexican-American students felt the students were being disrespectful on the only day they celebrate their heritage while students sporting red, white and blue said it violated their First Amendment rights.
Because of our perverse immigration laws that were imposed on us by activist jurist, we now have a whole generation of people who identity themselves with a foreign country. Samuel P. Huntington explains in his book, WHO ARE WE? The Challenges to America's National Identity:
More detailed evidence suggests a weak identification with America on the part of Mexican immigrants and people of Mexican origin. The study of children of immigrants in Southern California and South Florida in 1992 asked the question: "How do you identify, that is, what do you call yourself?" The Latin American respondents were grouped into eight countries or groups of countries. None of the children born in Mexico answered "American" as compared with 1.9 percent to 9.3 percent of those born elsewhere in Latin America or the Caribbean. The largest number of Mexican-born children, 41.2 percent, identified themselves as "Hispanic" and the second largest, 32.6 percent, chose "Mexican." Among Mexican-American children born in the United States, only 3.9 percent responded "America" compared to 28.5 percent to 50 percent of those born in America with parents from elsewhere in Latin America. The most numerous responses of these U.S. born children were "Mexican-American" 38.8 percent, "Chicano" 24.6 percent, and "Hispanic" 20.6 percent. Twice as many, 8.1 percent, chose "American." Whether born in Mexico or in America, Mexican-origin children overwhelmingly did not choose "Americans" as their primary identification.
The United States immigration laws are an affront to Natural Law and the Law of Nations. It is a direct threat to the integrity of our borders, and demeans citizenship; furthermore, it is becoming a national security issue.
