Third-World Millionaires Move to America's Third-World Cities

Americans are the luckiest people in the world. I say that because we are born in the most prosperous and free country known to mankind. So, we shouldn’t be surprised people want to move here. Most are trying to escape crime, poverty and a lack of opportunity. This is usually indicative of government corruption, onerous taxes and punitive regulations.

The world’s poor aren’t the only ones on the move. Millionaires are also fleeing these hellholes. So guess the most desirous destinations for these rich foreigners to reside. Unbelievably, its Los Angeles, New York City and the San Francisco Bay area.

We have Americans trying to flee these hellhole cities; yet, this is where rich immigrants want to go. Who would’ve thunk it. Maybe the local chamber of commerce can provide these newbies with poop maps, garbage bags and steel-toed boots so they what get pricked by used syringes.

I guess third-worlders like to be reminded of home.

Educators Are the New Millionaires?

In his weekly address, Barack Obama lamented the high cost of education. I wonder if he would be shocked to find out that today’s new millionaires are educators:

According to a report released last week by the Spectrem Group's Millionaire Corner, the number of millionaire households in the U.S. rose 2% last year to 8.2 million. And capturing the greatest number of millionaire households were ones that included a manager as a breadwinner.

But while managers are tops on the list, accounting for 17% of households with $1 million to $5 million in net assets excluding their primary residence, educators are close behind with 12% of the millionaire pie, according to the report.

That's right -- educators.

What gives these occupations their relatively large slice is that many are living in dual-income households, says George Walper, president of the Spectrum Group.

Compare that to other high-paying jobs such as attorneys, doctors, or dentists, which only account for 2% of the millionaire pool. People in those ultra-demanding occupations are often the sole breadwinners in their families, with spouses or partners holding down the fort at home. And when it's time to retire, the payout may be less.

Let’s just hope that dual-incomes are the reason for educators being ranked as the new millionaires. Public service is a calling; it shouldn’t be a profit center.

Sen. Harry Reid Spreads Unicorn Manure

How delusional are democrats? Well, let’s take a gander at Sen. Harry Reid. According to the Senate majority leader, the rich don’t provide jobs. Why, that kind of thinking is about as real as mythical creatures like the unicorn and the Easter Bunny.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested on Monday that millionaires who create jobs are a mere figment of Republicans' imaginations.

"Millionaire job creators are like unicorns,” said Reid from the Senate floor. “They are impossible to find and don't exist."

Reid's frustration has grown in past weeks as Republicans have repeatedly and overwhelmingly blocked almost every fragment of President Obama's jobs package brought to the floor because Democrats have attempted to pay for them by raising taxes on millionaires. Republicans say they oppose that tax because it would hamper job creation.

But Reid said Monday morning that there was no evidence of a correlation between taxes on the wealthy and jobs.

"Republicans say the richest of the rich in our country … shouldn't contribute more to put our economy back on track," said Reid. "They call our plan time after time a 'tax on job creators,' and I say so-called job creators because … every shred of evidence contradicts this red herring.”

The majority leader concluded that most of Republicans' "fictitious millionaire job creators" are "hedge fund managers or wealthy lawyers that don't do much hiring."

I’ll tell you who the fictitious job creators are: government bureaucrats. Americans will starve to death if they believe Senator Harry Reid and his army of leprechauns can produce an era of prosperity with the fairy dust they're spreading.

"Patriotic Millionaires" Not So Patriotic

The Daily Caller exposed these so-called patriot millionaires for what they are: frauds. Given the chance to donate to the federal government to reduce our national debt, they passed.

No, these patriots want to force others through means of taxation than "invest" their money into a corrupt blackhole that is the D.C. bureaucratic machine.

A round of thanks should be given to the Daily Caller.
