NAACP Petitions United Nations to Circumvent U.S. Voting Laws

The NAACP has petitioned the United Nations to intercede on their behalf for what they believe to be an infringement on their voting rights. I wonder if the irony is lost on them. The U.N. consists of a band of murderers, thieves and oppressors; yet, this so-called human rights organization wants this rogue organization to help them circumvent our voting laws.

To understand what the NAACP is complaining about, you have to skip down to the bottom of an article published by the Guardian. Here is an excerpt:

The NAACP says voting rights are being whittled down at every stage of the electoral process. First of all, the registration of new voters is being impeded in several states by moves to block voter registration drives that have historically proved to be an important way of bringing black and Hispanic people to the poll.

Four states – Florida, Iowa, Kentucky and Virginia – continue to withhold the vote from anyone convicted of a criminal offence. In Florida, offenders who have completed their sentences have to wait at least five years before they can even apply to restore their right to register to vote.

Across the US, more than 5 million Americans are denied the right to vote on grounds that they were convicted of a felony, 4 million of whom have fully completed their sentence and almost half of whom are black or Hispanic.

You’re damn right! They shouldn’t be allowed to vote. These people have demonstrated a blatant disregard for their fellow citizens, and if the states dictate that these ex-cons have to wait for a specific period before being allowed to vote, then so be it.

Here is another nonsensical grievance:

Other measures have reduced the ease of early voting, a convenience that is disproportionately heavily used by African-Americans. Even more importantly, 34 states have introduced a requirement that voters carry photo ID cards on the day of the election itself.

Studies have showed that the proportion of voters who do not have access to valid photo ID cards is much higher among older African-Americans because they were not given birth certificates in the days of segregation. Students and young voters also often lack identification and are thus in danger of being stripped of their right to vote.

This has been easily disproved. Carolina Journal interviewed Hans von Spakousley on this very issue. Here is an excerpt:

von Spakovsky: That’s a completely bogus argument, and it’s been disproven in the courts, it’s been disproven in the polling place, and it’s been disproven in the public arena — public opinion. I mean, first of all, let’s start with the last one first. Voters overwhelmingly support photo ID, and the polls show that goes across all racial, ethnic, and age lines. So that includes African-Americans, Hispanics — they all support this. I don’t think they would support it if they thought it would keep them from going to the polls.

Second, Georgia and Indiana, for example, have the two strictest photo ID laws in the country. Look, there were lawsuits filed in those cases by the NAACP, the ACLU — all the same groups making these very same claims in North Carolina. They lost. They lost those cases. And in both cases, Indiana and Georgia, the federal courts made a point of saying in their decisions that after years of litigation, and after making these claims that there were hundreds of thousands of people who didn’t have photo ID, in both cases, none of the organizations that sued could find a single individual who didn’t have either photo ID or couldn’t easily get one under the free access to photo ID that the state set up. And that included the NAACP. In the Georgia case, they couldn’t find a single member of the NAACP who didn’t have a photo ID.

Also, if you look at the elections held in states with photo ID, like Georgia and Indiana, contrary to what the critics say, turnout in those states went up dramatically in the ’08 election. In fact, it went up more, increased more in those states than in some states without photo ID. And, in fact, the statistics that I’ve seen on turnout data show that the turnout, for example, of African-Americans went up significantly in Georgia. Also the same thing happened in Indiana. So the effects that people say will happen, they haven’t occurred.

As you can see the NAACP doesn’t have a leg to stand on. But what is disturbing, is their willingness to employ a band of third world dictators to force us to their will.

D.C. Bureaucrats Committing Voter Fraud

Washington D.C. bureaucrats are committing voter fraud. They live and work in the nation’s capitol, yet they vote in states where they do not reside, as reported by the Associated Press:

Washington may be a home for some city dwellers, but it isn't where their vote will count during Tuesday's midterm elections. Some residents eligible to vote in the city choose to vote in another place they have a tie to, saying one reason not to vote in Washington is it would mean giving up their vote in Congress.

People who live in the nation's capital can vote for president and local offices like mayor. But they have no senators representing them, and their one House member can't vote on the House floor. Close races in November are virtually unheard of in the overwhelmingly Democratic city. So some of the city's 600,000 residents go out of their way to vote somewhere they think they can make more of a difference. It may seem like manipulating the system - but it can be legal, depending on a person's circumstances and the laws in the states where they vote.

"I can't think of any of my friends who vote in D.C.," said Kathleen Danielson, 22, who graduated from George Washington University earlier this year and now lives in the city's Columbia Heights neighborhood, about two miles from the White House
.

I have an easy way of dealing with these people: if you are a government worker, and dependent on taxpayer's money, you shouldn't be allowed to vote.  Public employee unions cause chaos when they don't get their way, just take a look at California.  That state is bankrupt and one of the main causes is the bloated health and pension benefits for government workers.

If you are on the public dole, you forfeit your right to vote. That is the only way to ensure we don’t become another France or Greece.

School Children Manipulated to Vote Democratic

School officials in Cincinnati, Ohio escorted three vans loaded with high school students to the downtown elections office. These children were given a sample ballot demarking only Democratic candidates and were fed ice cream after they pulled the lever. A lawsuit was filed to stop four other high schools that planned on voting as well:

The suit alleges three van loads of Hughes High students arrived at the Downtown Board of Elections offices at 1 p.m. Wednesday, supervised by a school employee. School lets out at 3:15 p.m.

When they got out of the vans, the students, the suit alleges, also were accompanied by adults who appeared to be campaign workers or supporters for U.S. Rep. Steve Driehaus, D-West Price Hill, the congressman being challenged this fall by Steve Chabot. When the students got out of the vans, the suit alleges they were given sample ballots containing only Democratic candidates.

A lawyer representing Cincinnati public schools denied any wrong doing.

It’s bad enough that these so-called educators are indoctrinating today’s youth, now they are using them to vote for their handpicked candidates. I have a serious problem with kids voting to begin with. They do not have the life experience to make intelligent decisions and are easily manipulated by their schoolmarm masters. If I were a parent of one of these kids, I would be livid.

California Should Get The Same Treatment As Greece

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger praised the Stimulus Bill while calling the GOP a bunch of hypocrites. Many republican governors complained about the amount of federal spending, while at the same time accepting the money to shore up their budget deficits. Fair enough, but does Arnold have to prostitute himself to Washington D.C.?

Schwarzenegger made a dubious claim that the Stimulus Bill created 150,000 jobs in his state. Really? I would like to know what kind of jobs they are, and how long they last after the welfare checks stop coming.

Now, the Governator is back and he needs more money for California’s bloated budget:

"I don't see one state getting a carve-out," Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., said after meeting with Schwarzenegger and the legislators. Boxer said her aides were exploring whether some of the roughly $50 billion in federal economic stimulus money the state is slated to receive this year for public works and other projects could be used to offset the state deficit.

"The key thing is we get more money for the state of California," Schwarzenegger told reporters. "Not a handout, but money we deserve.

Oh, but it is a hand out. And California is becoming another Greece.

Greece has serious financial problems. They need a bailout from the European Union in order to shore up their bloated budget. The Union finance ministers have given Greece one month to get their house in order, or they will lose control of their taxation and spending policies to a central council; in effect losing their sovereignty. Voting rights will be denied to them. Many Europeans would like to kick Greece out of the Union.

In order to comply with the mandates, Greece has to contend with their public unions. Drastic cuts have to be made, and many do not like it. A confederation of public and private unions, along with farmers, and the communist party have band together in massive strikes. They are clashing with police in downtown Athens.

California has the same kind of problems as Greece. They have a powerful public union that sucks the life blood out of taxpayers. They are governed by corrupt politicians who don’t know how to stop taxing and spending; and the state is infested with a bunch of communist who rule the roost. Is it any wonder that they have insurmountable budget deficits?

I believe we should treat California just like the European Union is treating Greece. If they require any bailouts; their representatives in congress should be frog marched out of the Capitol and sent home. You will not have any voting rights until you get your act together. And when the general election comes time to vote a president into office they would be excluded from the process.

Actually this should apply to any state that receives bailouts.
