Noel in the Holler

By T.L. Coston

As the sun kisses the dusk to bid a nights pleasant dream
And Winter’s crystalline blanket blinks its pinkish-blue hues
A few leaves cling to a branch in reverent stubbornness
While a gust of wind whistles through its wooden chimes

I sit on my porch on this blessed night
Wondering about the magis wonderful sight
Of a star portending God’s gift to mankind
A distant flame of hope for the lonely and forgotten

Across the holler on a distant hill
A cabin light flickers without concomitant cry of a whippoorwill
Silent are these nights when the cold air bites
Even more so on this holiday tide

Faint was the sound of a distant song
Of a neighbor’s melodious wail
About the heralded birth of Jesus Christ
And redemption for sins for which we must prevail

As I stopped rocking in my chair
I closed my eyes and listened with care
As I wiped a couple of tears away
And thanked our Lord for this Christmas Day

The Twelve Days of Trump-mas

It’s looking a lot like Christmas in late January.  I haven’t been this excited since I was a kid.  What will President Trump give the citizens of the United States tomorrow?  I can’t wait.  I almost want to put it to song, but that would be too difficult.  So, I'll  just outline it.

On the first day of Trump-mas, the president gave to We the People: A freeze on regulations; a freeze on hiring federal government employees and beginning a rollback of Obamacare.

On the second day of Trump-mas, the president gave to We the People: Authorization of the Keystone Pipeline; stopped funding overseas abortions, and taking TPP off the table.

On the third day of Trump-mas, the president gave to We the People:  preparation of executive orders to defund the United Nations; rescinded Obama’s illegal $221 million gift to the Palestinian Authority; orders to build the wall and stripped funding to sanctuary cities.

It’ll be interesting to see what the 12 days of Trump-mas will bring.  For years, conservatives waited for someone to deliver us from the bullies in Washington D.C. and their transnational puppet masters.

So far, President Donald Trump is checking off our wish list and restoring our faith in some semblance of a constitutional government.  Do we dare believe?

'Tis the Season for Totalitarians

Do totalitarians ever take a break?  Most people look forward to the holidays as a time when we focus on family, friends and the blessings God has bestowed upon us, and yes that means celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.  That’s why it’s called Christmas.  Totalitarians see this time of year as an opportunity to shove through their agenda while the rest of us are preoccupied.

Recently, the House of Representatives, under the leadership of Speaker Paul Ryan, passed a 2000 page omnibus bill with a price tag of $1.1 trillion that no one read except for leadership on both sides of the aisle.  These so-called conservative republicans funded all of the Democratic Party’s agenda while Americans were busy wrapping presents and making merry.  Congress has turned this kind of outrage into a holiday event.

Democrats added some poison to the eggnog by spiking the First Amendment while the rest of us were out shopping and attending Christmas parties.  House Resolution #569 was surreptitiously presented on December 17th.  This bill introduced Sharia Law by “condemning violence, bigotry and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in America.”  This bill is a direct attack on freedom of speech and association.  It’s also a means to introduce Islam as a state established “religion.”

Of course, what would be Christmas without totalitarians banning Christmas from the public square?  The town of Bethlehem, New York has forsaken our Lord and Savior for fear of “breaking the law.”  Now that’s irony.  A town that was named after the birthplace of Jesus Christ is ran by a bunch of Herods.

Even our lexicon is under attack.   A UCF professor wrote an op-ed in which she advocated a new seasons greeting:   Happy Federal Holiday.  Now that’s offensive.

Little by little, totalitarians are bastardizing Christmas into their own perverted holiday.  Soon, Ralphie’s quest for a Red Ryder B.B. gun will be banned from television because a bunch of metro sexual, thumb suckers have declared this movie a catalyst to violent behavior.  As we’ve learned, nothing is off the table for these shameless control freaks.

'Twas the Congress Before Christmas

By T.L. Coston

‘Twas the Congress before Christmas and all through the House
Establishment Republicans were stirring along with the louts;
Teat Squawkers gathered in the halls, all fret with care
In the hopes that staffers would grant them taxpayer wares

Citizens were soothed by the midterm elections
As visions of prosperity danced in their direction
Then I and my fellow Americans settled down for a long, holiday cheer
Busying ourselves with family, friends and maybe a beer

When on Fox News there rang such a clatter
I leaped from my couch to see what was the matter
Away to the T.V.  I made a dash
Grabbed the remote and gave it a blast

Statuary Hall was full of buzz
As reporters and politicians mugged about
Cameras and lights filled the place
While media whores pan-caked their face

D.C. courtesans rushed around in delight,
“Good news! The federal government has a green light!”
The House passed Cromnibus with the president’s help
A whopping $1.8 trillion will give you a yelp!

And so the D.C. Establishment wins again
As Americans are saddled with $18 trillion in debt
So enjoy your holidays the best you can
Just remember we’re too stupid to understand

File away another fiscal year
Please…please don’t shed a tear
Republicans say another election has to be won
And so the campaign must go on

So envision a distant capitol with no care, or class
They are wiping their asses with all of our cash
And from the White House they stand and cheer,

“Screw you, voters!  And your Happy New Year!”

A Conservative Christmas Wish

A Charlotte Observer Wastrel Christmas

Every year, the Charlotte Observer publishes Christmas cartoons depicting the GOP and republican politicians as Scrooge, the Grinch, or some other loathsome seasonal characterization.  It never fails.  The two above are just the beginning of this holiday season.

I would like to ascribe a cartoon that more accurately portrays the editorial board and their cartoonist.

Have a Merry Christmas all you wastrels at the Charlotte Observer.  And without a doubt, the word “Christmas” is offense to the Marxist that infest that libtard paper.

All I Wanted was a Red Ryder B.B. Gun

All I wanted was a Red Ryder B.B. Gun.  Instead, Santa sent me an upgrade along with one of his elves. Can anyone say best Christmas ever!

The Charlotte Observer's Annual GOP Grinch Cartoon

What would Christmas be without the Charlotte Observer portraying the GOP or a republican politician as the Grinch?  Apparently, this holiday classic never gets old at the Disturber.

Media bias?  Nahh.

Happy Holidays from Your Local Union Thugs

What would the holidays be without a union goon punching you in the face?  Pass the eggnog and a cold slab of meat for the black eye, because Uncle Bob is pissed off about Michigan becoming a right to work state.

The GOP dominated legislature gave the Democratic Party a lump of coal for Christmas.  People have an option to join a union or not.  And if workers decline, that means no union dues, which further means no money for the Democrats.  It looks like their money laundering scheme is about up.

Generations from now, Michiganders can look back at this moment and say this was the gift that allowed freedom of choice and conscious.  No longer will they be forced to fund a political party that conspires to enslave them to a socialist ideology.

'Tis the Season to be a Self-Absorbed Atheist

Christmas is around the corner.  And what would the holidays be without a self-absorbed atheist pissing on Jesus' birthday.

Tammy Bruce nails this "all about me" dirtbag who masquerades as a free speech advocate.  She handed this godless heathen a well deserved clump of coal.

Charlotte Observer has no Mistletoe for Republicans

‘Tis the season, and what would Christmas be without an annual invective by liberal newspapers. Put away the mistletoe republicans, because you’ll get no love from likes of the Charlotte Observer. No, you’ll get the usual Scrooge and Grinch depictions, or some other lowbrow characterizations. Doubt me? Well, take a look at the above cartoon. This is what Newt Gingrich gets for suggesting we instill a decent work ethic in today’s youth.

The editors at the Disturber have marketed itself as the pinnacle of altruism. They’re just full of advice, especially when it comes to the homeless:

People begging in the Charlotte region clearly need assistance. But in many cases, they save up loose change to buy that next drink, pack of cigarettes or hit of a drug. Even if they use the money to buy food, or even if the donation is food, that is at best a Band-Aid that does nothing to get them off the street.

This may sound cold-hearted. But we care about the homeless and destitute and want them to improve their situation. So do the people and agencies that have dedicated their lives to helping the homeless: The Urban Ministry Center, the Men's Shelter of Charlotte and the dozens of agencies that are members of the Homeless Services Network. Those groups have joined with Charlotte Center City Partners and others to create a task force to discourage panhandling and move street populations toward better solutions.

That advice sounds reasonable; doesn’t it? Could the Charlotte Observer have an ulterior motive? Is there something happening in “uptown” next year, that could put a damper on their liberal leanings? And why does Denver, Colorado come to mind?

The effort is in line with the community's 10-year plan to end homelessness, a comprehensive plan on which leaders have made only stop-and-go progress over the past several years.

The group will try to discourage restaurants from feeding the homeless leftovers at their backdoors. That's well-intentioned, Urban Ministry Center Executive Director Dale Mullennix says, but it's more effective to give the food to community groups that give it to the homeless along with other vital services they need to start turning their lives around.

It's a delicate effort for Center City Partners. The uptown group needs not to appear as if it is trying to shoo these people away in time for the Democratic National Convention. The involvement of advocates for the homeless helps offset that danger and give the effort credibility. The task force should also avoid encouraging a severe police crackdown on panhandlers. Being hungry is no crime.

But making the Democratic Party and their “uptown” toadies look bad is. Nice try Disturber.

Obama Implores Devotees to Spread His Gospel During Christmas Dinner

It’s bad enough that Obama, the egomaniac, has an ornament of him strategically placed on the National Mall Christmas tree. Now, he wants his minions to ruin Christmas with their idiotic proselytizing.

Notice, that all of the “actors” in this video are a bunch of kids. That’s just what we want: a bunch of teat suckers sitting around the table, eating our food, while lecturing us about their Messiah. What’s a Christmas without having a politician with a god-like complex imposing his will upon us?

If Obama loses in the next general election, we can expect this type of reaction from his devotees:

Wisconsin Atheist Bullies Texas Community Over Nativity Scene

It’s that time of year when atheist busy-bodies run around the country pissing on everyone’s Christmas. And nothing sets them off like a nativity scene on government property, whether it be on federal, state, county, or municipality. Every year, we have to put up with these intolerant, self-absorbed scums, who aren’t happy, unless they’re making others miserable.

One of the biggest hum-buggers is The Freedom from Religion Foundation based in Wisconsin. These dirtbags aren’t content on harassing the citizens of their own state; no, they decided to take their clown show to Texas. The residents of Henderson County must be perplexed that a bunch of Godless heathens from Wisconsin have targeted their little community.

"I just don't understand it, to be honest with you," said Henderson County Judge Richard Sanders. "I'm just confused about it."

Sanders says residents haven't complained. The issues were brought up by the Freedom from Religion foundation, a Wisconsin non-profit group who sent a letter to the county this week, calling the display unconstitutional and demanding it come down.

"I'm an old country boy, you come to my house looking for a fight, you're going to get one," said County Commissioner Joe Hall. "That's from the bottom of my heart."

There's no confusing how Hall feels. He says the county isn't budging.

"We'll remove it when hell freezes over," Hall said. "It's not going to happen."

Henderson County doesn't own the nativity scene. It has been put up for more than a decade by volunteers from the Keep Athens Beautiful group.

It is completely ridiculous that the citizens of Henderson County, Texas have to put up with the shenanigans from a coterie of Wisconsin malcontents. It is time to take away the atheist cudgel, and that means repealing the 14th Amendment.
