Escalating Hysteria and Absurdity at Mt. Progressive
I thought when Donald J. Trump was elected president, we would begin to decline this summit of stupidity; but apparently, there is no designated elevation for Mt. Progressive. The skies the limit when it comes to their hysteria and absurdity.
President Trump cannot sneeze without raising the ire of the PC police and their representatives in Congress. Did he use a white hanky? He’s a racist! Did he snot on a rag? He’s a misogynist! Did he throw that tissue in a trash can? He’s a xenophobe!
So, it shouldn’t be a surprise when the president is denounced for voicing what many of us think, or when he gets blamed for a chant from a crowd at a rally. His detractors are willing to create controversy, or manufacture a crisis where there is none in the hopes of dinging his approval numbers. Hey, it worked on Bush, it’ll work on Trump.
So here we are, once again, having to endure another tyrant trope from the “mainstream media” simply because President Trump enunciated a time-worn truism, America: Love it or Leave it.
The following day, you would’ve thought that the commander-in-chief had effectuated a policy equivalent to the Alien and Sedition Act of 1798. His criticism of the Four Whores of Anti-Semitism where construed as an attack on the First Amendment. Fears of actual concentration camps danced in their heads, with visions of toilet water splashing their chin. Their hysteria was absolutely laughable.
The simple fact is Trump can’t do squat. Where have these people been for the past three years? He can’t enforce existing laws or policies without injunctions from an Obama judge. Congress is constantly threatening him with impeachment, and the “media” have been in constant panic mode since he won the primary in 2016. And they think Tyrant Trump is going to roundup dissenters and send them back to the hellholes from whence they came?
All I have to say is take a deep breath, strap on an oxygen tank, because we’ve got a long way to go before we reach the summit of Mt. Progressive.

Democrats to Hold Hearings on Fake News Crisis
Democrats are preparing congressional hearings on President Trump’s assertions that the mainstream media are fake news. Do we really need this dog and pony show? Conservatives have known about their bias for decades. But according to these dimwits in Washington D.C. any criticism of these professional propagandists is considered a constitutional crisis. They believe an attack on these slimeballs is an attack on the First Amendment, as though they are the sole proprietors on freedom of the press and speech.
These so-called journalist and their Beltway brethren are nothing more than society people. They have traded their integrity for approbation from well-connected elites. They care nothing about the truth; indeed they believe they can shape the truth as an ends to a means. These so-called professionals don’t deserve our respect. If anything they deserve our condemnation. President Trump has shown a light on this cockroach party and these pest resent being outed for the diseased vermin they are.
I happened upon a journal entry by Thoreau. I thought his post is as fitting today as it was back in 1852:
April 24. I know two species of men. The vast majority are men of society . They live on the surface ; they are interested in the transient and fleeting ; they are like driftwood on the flood. They ask forever and only the news, the froth and scum of the eternal sea . They use policy ; they make up for want of matter with manner. They have many letters to write. Wealth and the approbation of men is to them success . The enterprises of society are something final and sufficing for them. The world advises them, and they listen to its advice. They live wholly an evanescent life, creatures of circumstance. It is of prime importance to them who is the president of the day. They have no knowledge of truth, but by an exceedingly dim and transient instinct, which stereotypes the church and some other institutions . They dwell, they are ever, right in my face and eyes like gnats ; they are like motes, so near the eyes that, looking beyond, they appear like blurs; they have their being between my eyes and the end of my nose. The terra firma of my existence lies far beyond, behind them and their improvements. If they write, the best of there deal in "elegant literature ." Society, man, has no prize to offer me that can tempt me ; not one.
Shoo, Propagandists, don't bother me. You no longer have the power to persuade me and a growing number of Americans. We have seen through your veil and have witnessed your lies.

A River Runs Through the Courts

Is there no end to liberal stupidity? Every day we're confronted with a new case of activism that is completely devoid of reality. The latest Wonderland absurdity is: Rivers have rights. Here is an excerpt from The New Republic:
Last September, an unlikely plaintiff sued the state of Colorado: the Colorado River. The lawsuit, claiming that the state had violated the river’s right to flourish and regenerate, was filed by the environmental organization Deep Green Resistance, who brought the suit as next friends of the river. “Environmental law has failed to protect the natural environment because it accepts the status of nature and ecosystems as property,” DGR stated in the filing. The current law “merely regulat[es] the rate at which the natural environment is exploited.” They argued that the very existence of the river was at stake, and that the time had come for courts to recognize damage—not just to human users of the ecosystem, as law typically does, but to the ecosystem itself
Humans aren’t the only ones with rights, after all. In recent years courts have heard cases arguing that chimps, elephants, and other highly intelligent animals should have legal personhood. In India, Ecuador, and New Zealand, courts and legislatures have recently recognized some special rivers as having their own legal rights—the time seemed ripe for DGR’s argument. In 2010, the Citizens United decision extended First Amendment rights to corporations. In 2014, the Hobby Lobby decision secured closely held corporations some measure of religious freedom. U.S. law has granted personhood to corporate entities, the suit argued. Why not ecological ones?
First Amendment rights are afforded to corporate entities because they are comprised of people who have a financial interest in laws and regulations that affect them and their business. A river is not a person. An animal is not a person. This shouldn’t be hard to understand.

Fake News Hides Behind the First Amendment
The mainstream medias' hubris is truly astonishing. These people manufacture stories, use anonymous sources and openly advocate for a political party all the while thinking there will be no consequences for their actions. As a matter of fact, they’re astonished anyone would question their veracity or mock their fabrications.
This holier-than-thou mentality is pervasive throughout media and not just the beltway. The Charlotte Observer believes anyone who questions, criticizes or mocks their reporting or editorials is attacking the Constitution itself. Here is an excerpt from editorial page editor, Taylor Batten:
Immersed in the throes of such a polarized time in America, and with the president constantly disparaging the media, it is encouraging, emboldening and essential to remember that the nation’s brightest legal minds have understood the importance of protecting a vibrant free press since the founding of the country.
I was reminded of that after Jon Buchan, the longtime Observer attorney and one of the nation’s best First Amendment lawyers, spoke to our newsroom this month. Based on his suggestion, I went back and read landmark Supreme Court and other court rulings in First Amendment cases.
A common theme emerges: A vigorous free press is more than something to tolerate; it is fundamental to who we are as a nation, and an enabler of our democracy. Tireless questioning of government officials, from Trump on down, should not pit Democrats versus Republicans; it should pit those who want authoritarian rule against the rest of us.
Now that’s laughable. Where was Taylor Batten and the Charlotte Observer when Barack Hussein Obama trounced all over the U.S. Constitution with his executive orders? Where was the Charlotte Observer when the Obama administration violated the treaty clause when they conspired with the Iranian regime? Or for that fact, the countless abuses by an authoritarian regime hell bent on transforming the United States of America without our consent?! Spare your lectures Mr. Batten. And by the way, the First Amendment doesn’t protect the press from criticism or public censure.
What is really astonishing is these people are incapable of recognizing their own biases; or they do and don't care. Either way they’ve earned the moniker of “Fake News.”

Democrats Have Destroyed Journalistic Integrity
When I was a kid, I believed journalists were unbiased agents for the truth. It didn’t take long to disabuse myself of these naive notions. Back in the day, they tried to mask their socialist proclivities; now they’re in our face.
Progressives have taken over the media and now that industry is going to pay a price for defiling the First Amendment. Camille Paglia, a professor of journalism, is outraged at what Democrats have done to a great American institution.
“It’s obscene,” she said. “It’s outrageous, OK? It shows that the Democrats are nothing now but words and fantasy and hallucination and Hollywood. There’s no journalism left. What’s happened to The New York Times? What’s happened to the major networks? It’s an outrage.”
“I’m a professor of media studies, in addition to a professor of humanities, OK?” she continued. “And I think it’s absolutely grotesque the way my party has destroyed journalism. Right now, it is going to take decades to recover from this atrocity that’s going on where the news media have turned themselves over to the most childish fraternity, kind of buffoonish behavior.”

Progressive Judges Bastardize the Establishment Clause
Progressives have bastardized almost every aspect of the U.S. Constitution and in particular the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Recently, a district court judge in Hawaii deemed President Trump’s travel ban from 5 Islamic countries unconstitutional. The President’s ban meets the statutory criteria set forth by Congress which has plenary power when it comes to immigration and naturalization.
I am amazed at how woefully ignorant these judges can be when it comes to the original intent and history of the Establishment Clause. The answer is quite simple, the Framers didn’t want the federal government to force States to finance a national religion i.e. Baptist, Presbyterian, Anglican, Congregationalist, etc. etc.
Anyone with a modicum of knowledge of early American history is aware that the colonies were forced to support the Church of England through taxation. Marriages and births were not recognized if colonists didn’t go through the Anglican Church. This could have serious legal consequences in probate. The Establishment Clause ensured religious freedom from the federal government.
No one has a right to immigrate into the United States. Immigration is a political decision that is to be decided through our representatives. And if we, the American people, decide Muslims are not welcomed into our society, no judge has the constitutional authority to override that decision.

President Trump Embraces God at Inauguration
Progressives and their godless agents are in panic mode after President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Our new commander-in-chief practically declared war on centralized government and all the corruptocrats that infest it. He also publicly embraced God and Christianity on the Capitol steps.
Progressive organizations, like the Freedom from
Religion Foundation, have a mission to remove Christian prayer from city halls and
the public square.
These heathens have successfully used the courts to fundamentally
transform the First Amendment into an anti-Christian battering ram. Their interpretation is historically
incorrect and an affront to the ideals that forged this great country.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation can sue small
town America because they’re easy pickings and can’t afford long drawn out
court battles. Let’s see if they have
the balls to take on the Trump administration.

Democrats Plan to Fundamentally Transform First Amendment Rights
The Obama administration is scheduled to handover ICANN to the United Nations at the end of this month. This coincides with his plans to fundamentally transform the United States from a sovereign nation to one under global governance. There is no better way to attack an American’s First Amendment right of free speech than to hand the internet over to a body of authoritarians.
Former U.N. ambassador John Bolton predicted the
internet will be fundamentally transformed within ten years. Free speech on the world-wide web will
effectively be killed off.
What they’re talking about is succumbing to the demands of
foreign governments and foreign interests who say, in what is effectively a
global means of communication, it’s just wrong to have the United States in
charge of it.
But the fact is,
under American control, it’s had remarkable growth. It’s been kept free. It’s
been able to withstand a lot of pressure to try and set rules that favor one
side or another. And in an international environment, I can tell you from my
own experience, when you get all kinds of governments from all over the world
setting standards and making decisions, it will be far less free than it is
now.
And I don’t
think the particular kind of transfer we’re talking about now is the end of the
game. This is a black-and-white, binary choice: it’s either under American
control, or it’s not. And once we let go of it, we are never getting it back.
That’s the plan.
Democrats have been bitching about Tea Party activists and an
alternative media that exposes their corruption for over a decade. They want to control the narrative. There is no better way to circumvent the U.S.
Constitution than by having totalitarians in the United Nations do their
bidding. But that’s not the end of
it. Here is what John Bolton predicted
if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency.
That said, I believe that if Hillary Clinton wins, she will do
what I expected Obama to do, which is try to transfer more and more American
sovereignty into international organizations across the range of issues —
whether it’s climate change or the conduct of international affairs. I think
Obama didn’t do as much as I expected in that vein because he really just doesn’t
care about international affairs as much as he cares about ‘fundamentally
transforming’ our country.
I think Hillary
does have even grander ambitions, and so that’s why what we started off, the
end of ICANN or the effective control of ICANN over the Internet, is an
excellent example of global governance replacing American sovereignty in
effect. And I think she’ll be much more on that. I hope that’s something Trump
emphasizes in the upcoming debate.
Barack Obama said as much during his speech to the United
Nations last week.

Obama Benedict Arnolds the Internet
Democrats can’t wait to hand the internet over to a
foreign body simply because they want censorship. These people don’t believe in freedom of
speech when it comes to their political foes.
Look at what they did to the Tea Party.
Senator Chuck E. Schumer and his comrades demanded the IRS crackdown on
citizens who dared to organize and speak out against the abuses of the federal government. I guess some people are more equal than
others.
The First Amendment is fundamentally American. For
Barack Obama to hand the internet over to a foreign body is equivalent to
Benedict Arnold handing over West Point to the British during the Revolutionary
War. Arnold committed treason over petty jealousies and for money; Obama just despises this country.

Democrats Outsource Internet to a League of Tyrants
The internet has been the bane of the Democratic Party since its inception. Conservatives have used this vehicle to expose their lies and nefarious activities for decades. Anchorman Dan Rather lost his job because a website demonstrated that he and his team fraudulently manufactured evidence in an attempt to damn President George W. Bush’s National Guard service. Many a democrat has been embarrassed by the free flow of information and they want it stopped.
The best way to censor free speech is to outsource
the internet to a league of authoritarians who will do the dirty work for the
Democratic Party. One only has to look
at how Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Microsoft have colluded with the
European Union and China to stifle free speech.
Believe me; the Democratic Party is just as authoritarian as these
regimes.
The internet is scheduled to be handed over to an
international organization on October 1st of this year. We can expect a crackdown on freedom of speech
shortly after. These tyrants will do the
hit-job Democrats want them to do.

Presidential Election Should be a Referendum on the Supreme Court
Americans have to formally decide our true character. A house divided against itself cannot stand. We cannot be half free and half teat squawker. We cannot long endure as a free people by catering to a class of malcontents who demand forfeiture of our sacred rights on the premise of equality. This presidential election will determine what kind of country we want to be and Justice Antonin Scalia’s replacement should be part of that discourse.
The Supreme Court, like it or not, has become the
sole arbiter of what is constitutional and what is not. That was not the intent of our founders. All three branches were to engage, and
indeed, check and balance one another.
We no longer have a check on the federal judiciary and our republic is
in peril because of it.
A future Supreme Court will decide if the Bill of
Rights pertains to everyone, or a protected class. These jurists will determine whether or not
States are vassals to the federal ummah and if there are limitations to the
central governments power.
There is a cabal within that body that has
consistently voted against federalism and traditional values. These so-called jurists have assaulted the
First Amendment rights of free speech, association and religion particularly
when it comes to Christians and conservatives.
Americans need to decide if that minority opinion on the court should
become the majority. This presidential
election is a referendum on American values in more ways than one.

Gov. Chris Christie Supports Black Robed Thuggery
Some of these republican candidates are making it easy to be winnowed
out of consideration for the presidency.
Birthright citizenship eliminated over half of them and now we have a
Kentucky county clerk jailed for exercising her First Amendment rights and
defying a lawless federal judiciary.
Gov. Chris Christie has eliminated himself on both counts. Here is his excuse for allowing birthright
citizenship:
Christie: It’s in the Constitution and I don’t think we
should be looking to change it. Now, what I said was, if we wanted to have
comprehensive immigrant reform, I’d be willing to listen to anything. But the
truth of the matter is that it’s not something that, that’s not something that
we should be focused on, that is an applause line. The fact is that it is in
the Constitution, let’s talk about the things we can fix, and fix simply
without having to amend the Constitution where we would need two-thirds of the
Congress and 38 states to agree.
Birthright citizenship for foreign nationals and
their anchor babies is not in the Constitution.
I’m tired of politicians and media pundits perpetuating this lie. The citizenship clause was designed to
protect ex-slaves and their progeny. That’s
it!
Here is Gov. Christie’s response to the jailing
of a Kentucky county clerk:
Earlier Tuesday, New Jersey Gov. Chris
Christie said Davis should be given another government job, because those
licenses “have to be issued” under the law.
“People have a
right to practice their religion,” Christie said on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday
morning. “Now, I’ve said what I would do with this woman is to move her to
another job where this is not an objection for her. Because you have to follow
the law — and the law has to be these licenses have to be issued.”
“I think we should give her
an option to do another job where her religious concerns are not going to be
put into the cross hairs on this. So we have to have respect for people, but
the government also has to function,” Christie said, adding that fellow 2016
Republican candidates shouldn’t “play politics” with the case.
Do we have to remind Gov.
Christie that Kim Davis is an elected official?
Maybe a federal judge can find him a new job too. How about janitor? I’m sure a black robed thug can divine that
in the 14th Amendment as well.

Senator Ted Cruz Denounces Arrest of a Christian Clerk
Senator Ted Cruz is saying what many are
thinking. The Supreme Court is infested
with progressive activist masquerading as jurist. Their gay marriage dictum is a direct attack
on American’s First Amendment rights.
Christians are being persecuted by black robed thugs. Here is his statement in full:
“Today,
judicial lawlessness crossed into judicial tyranny. Today, for the first time
ever, the government arrested a Christian woman for living according to her
faith. This is wrong. This is not America.
“I stand with Kim
Davis. Unequivocally. I stand with every American that the Obama Administration
is trying to force to chose between honoring his or her faith or complying with
a lawless court decision.
“In dissent, Chief
Justice Roberts rightly observed that the Court’s marriage decision has nothing
to do with the Constitution. Justice Scalia observed that the Court’s decision
was so contrary to law that state and local officials would choose to defy it.
“For every politician
— Democrat and Republican — who is tut-tutting that Davis must resign, they are
defending a hypocritical standard. Where is the call for the mayor of San
Francisco to resign for creating a sanctuary city — resulting in the murder of American
citizens by criminal illegal aliens welcomed by his lawlessness?
“Where is the call for
President Obama to resign for ignoring and defying our immigration laws, our
welfare reform laws, and even his own Obamacare?
“When the mayor of San
Francisco and President Obama resign, then we can talk about Kim Davis.
“Those who are
persecuting Kim Davis believe that Christians should not serve in public
office. That is the consequence of their position. Or, if Christians do serve
in pubic office, they must disregard their religious faith–or be sent to jail.
“Kim Davis should not
be in jail. We are a country founded on Judeo-Christian values, founded by
those fleeing religious oppression and seeking a land where we could worship
God and live according to our faith, without being imprisoned for doing so.
“I call upon every
Believer, every Constitutionalist, every lover of liberty to stand with Kim
Davis. Stop the persecution now.”

Oregon Bureaucrat Denies Christian Business Owners First Amendment Rights
The strange case of an overzealous politician and bureaucrat
hunting down Christian business owners and denying them freedom of association
and religion has morphed into a complete repudiation of the First
Amendment. A Christian couple was ordered
by Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian to “cease and desist” from speaking
or publishing their thoughts about the commissioner’s thuggery in driving them
out of business because they didn’t want to participate in a gay wedding.
The Daily Signal reported the following:
“This effectively
strips us of all our First Amendment rights,” the Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes
by Melissa, which has since closed, wrote on
their Facebook page. “According to the state of Oregon we neither
have freedom of religion or freedom of speech.”
The cease and desist came about after Aaron and Melissa Klein
participated in an interview with Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins.
During the interview, Aaron said among other things, “This fight is not over.
We will continue to stand strong.”
Lawyers
for plaintiffs, Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer, argued that in making this
statement, the Kleins violated an Oregon law banning
people from acting on behalf of a place of public accommodation (in this case,
the place would be the Kleins’ former bakery) to communicate anything to the
effect that the place of public accommodation would discriminate.
“The Commissioner of
the Bureau of Labor and Industries hereby orders [Aaron and Melissa Klein] to
cease and desist from publishing, circulating, issuing or displaying, or
causing to be published … any communication to the effect that any of the
accommodations … will be refused, withheld from or denied to, or that any
discrimination be made against, any person on account of their sexual
orientation,” Avakian wrote.
Commissioner Brad Avakian is a typical government
thug straight from old school USSR, and that is basically what Hans Von
Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation stated:
It is exactly this kind of oppressive persecution by government
officials that led the pilgrims to America. And Commissioner Avakian’s order
that the Kleins stop speaking about this case is even more outrageous—and also
a fundamental violation of their right to free speech under the First
Amendment.
Avakian
would have fit right in as a bureaucrat in the Soviet Union or Red China.
Oregon should be ashamed that such an unprincipled, scurrilous individual is a
government official in the state.
If there is one thing we must learn, it's liberals
have no shame.

Progressive Torquemadas Hunt American Christians
The people who populated the English colonies in
North America were Christians with deeply held beliefs. They were nonconformist who wished to
practice their religion without fear of persecution by those who would wield political
power to coerce uniformity of thought.
The Library of Congress published the following on
their website:
Many of the British North American
colonies that eventually formed the United States of America were settled in
the seventeenth century by men and women, who, in the face of European
persecution, refused to compromise passionately held religious convictions and
fled Europe. The New England colonies, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland
were conceived and established "as plantations of religion." Some
settlers who arrived in these areas came for secular motives--"to catch
fish" as one New Englander put it--but the great majority left Europe to
worship God in the way they believed to be correct. They enthusiastically
supported the efforts of their leaders to create "a city on a hill"
or a "holy experiment," whose success would prove that God's plan for
his churches could be successfully realized in the American wilderness. Even
colonies like Virginia, which were planned as commercial ventures, were led by
entrepreneurs who considered themselves "militant Protestants" and
who worked diligently to promote the prosperity of the church.
Even the federal government recognizes Christianity
played an important role in forming these United States. So why have they forsaken the very foundation
that made this country great? Why are
they persecuting Christians who wish to practice their religion by using the
force of political power?
The Obama administration has made it quite clear
Christians, who own a business, are not allowed to practice their faith in the
public square. Many have been sued and
bankrupted. WND has made a case there is
a hunt for Christian business owners whom refuse to participate in gay
marriages. This has caused a crisis of
conscience and a usurpation of First Amendment rights.
This hostility has permeated our military. Chaplains are being punished for presiding
over private religious counseling sessions.
One in a Ranger battalion was reprimanded for using the Bible and
promoting Christianity. Another in the
Navy lost his career. The word is out:
if you’re a Christian, you’d better think twice before entering the military.
Even funding websites has renounced Christian
causes. TownHall.com reported the
following:
Sure enough, after
a GoFundMe site was set up to help the Kleins defray their legal expenses, the
thought police went into action. Under pressure, GoFundMe quickly shut down the
site that had raised over $110,000 for the Kleins. It also shut down a site created
to help Arlene's Flowers, another company whose owner, Barronelle Stutzman, has
faced civil fines for refusing to provide services to same-sex marriage
ceremonies, citing her religious faith.
Most recently, the site shut down fundraising efforts to help
the families of Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
The company issued a statement saying that they had changed
their policy, which now bans any fundraising campaigns "in defense of
formal charges or claims of heinous crimes, violent, hateful, sexual or
discriminatory acts." Competitor site IndieGoGo soon followed suit.
Here's the magic formula: Make a claim of a "hateful"
act (easy enough; every policy disagreement is "hate" these days),
use social media and litigation to threaten and financially devastate your
target, and then prevent any financial support from reaching them.
Progressive Torquemadas see Christians as a threat
to their social order. Anyone who
doesn’t conform to their utopian mosque is considered a heretic. There is no freedom of religion with these tormentors. Worship will be contained at your home or
church with their blessings, of course.

Homeland Security Changes Freedom of Religion to Worship
Liberals aren’t content changing the meaning of
words to suit their agenda, or distorting the original intent of elastic
clauses in the Constitution as a means to expand the purview of the federal
government. Now they’re rewriting the
First Amendment in an insidious attempt to redefine religious freedom. The Daily Signal reported the following:
A Republican senator from Oklahoma pressed Department of
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson at a hearing Wednesday about why the
U.S. is “misrepresenting” Americans’ First Amendment right to freedom of
religion to immigrants who are applying to become U.S. citizens.
“We
in the United States actually have freedom of religion, not freedom of
worship,” Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., told Johnson yesterday during a
Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing.
Lankford
was referring to the department’s decision to include “freedom of worship”
instead of “freedom of religion” as a basic American right listed in the civics
test that all immigrants must take to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.
This has been around for 10 years? This demonstrates how deeply embedded statist
are in these bureaucracies.

Apostles Preach the Gospel of Washington D.C.
Joseph de Maistre once wrote the maxim, “Every
country gets the government it deserves.”
That is a powerful truism; one which deserves reflection, particularly
in the world’s oldest republic turning into a free-for-all democracy.
The United States has become a Petri dish of
populism despite warnings from our founding fathers. They knew the perils of a democracy. Life, liberty, property and self-government
would eventually fall prey to demagogues who preach envy and greed from the
pulpit of a grand centralized government.
These saviors from a distant capitol will take care of every base need
and want of a salivating populace by taking from others. Their “good book” is a preponderance of tax
codes and regulations. Their apostles
are bureaucrats, lobbyists, community organizers, academia and so-called
journalist preaching the gospel of Washington D.C.
To ensure the power of the federal pulpit, religious
institutions have to be marginalized and silenced and what better way to do
that then by advancing an onerous tax code that punishes political speech. This was first done with the Tariff Act of 1894. That law was declared unconstitutional in
1896. Progressives wouldn’t be denied. They once again re-established a church tax
exemption in the Revenue Act of 1913. This
act is the foundation for violating the First Amendment rights of dissenting
Christians in modern America by punishing churches that dare speak out against
the depredations of a corrupt political system.
Progressives have found other means to advance their
agenda by changing the behavior of congregants.
The Washington Free Beacon reported the following:
The
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is spending $84,000 to study how churches
can be used to combat climate change.
A
taxpayer-funded graduate fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor
is examining 17 faith-based institutions that have implemented “sustainability
initiatives” in the hopes of developing workshops to teach pastors and other
religious leaders how to change the behaviors of their congregants.
“Climate change—which affects traditional faith-based efforts to
improve human health, mitigate poverty and redress social inequity—is inspiring
religious organizations to advocate for clean air and water, restore
ecosystems, and conserve resources,” a grant for
the project, which began last fall, states. “This project seeks to understand
the empirical experiences of faith-based environmental efforts within
communities.”
“Through what
motivations and processes do congregation level sustainability initiatives
emerge?” the grant asks. “What factors facilitate and/or hinder implementation
of these initiatives? What environmental and community outcomes are perceived
to have been achieved through these initiatives?”
“The results
will provide insights into the role of religion and faith communities in
motivating environmental behavior,” it said
Progressives don’t have a problem with separation of
church and state as long as that church is the state. Heterogeneous
thought and governance is an apostasy to these cardinals of conformity. Salvation can only be gained at the altar of the
religion of liberalism.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Wedding Cakes
Americans have a right to life, liberty, the pursuit
of happiness and wedding cakes! Wedding
cakes isn’t in the Declaration of Independence?
Surely, it’s in the Bill Rights.
No? Are you trying to tell me the
First Amendment declares we have a right to religious freedom and association,
but no wedding cakes?
In case you’ve been hiding under a rock, (probably
in a vain attempt to evade the all-seeing eye of federal government bureaucrats),
the state of Indiana and a small town pizzeria have come under attack for
defending and espousing religious freedom, to be more particular, Christianity.
Militant gays and their praetorian guards in the
media have been hunting down Christians, whom have the audacity to exercise
their beliefs beyond the church doors. If
you hang a cross in your business, you’re the one who could be crucified, just
ask Memories Pizza.
Progressives would have us believe that businesses
are public establishments and owners are mere servants. After all, you didn’t build that! If your religion believes a marriage is
between one man and one woman and participation in a gay wedding violates your
conscience, that’s too bad.
Our military has provisions for conscientious objectors. Your conscription into the Gay Army is nonnegotiable.

Maryland Coerces Churches into Preaching Global Warming Gospel
One of many complaints our founding fathers had with
England was paying taxes to support the Anglican Church. Many colonists found it a burden to support
their local ministry and a state sanctioned religion. That is what the Establishment Clause in the
First Amendment was really meant to prevent before it became bastardized by
progressives.
Maryland may not have an official green energy
religion, but they have exacted a tax on those who don’t preach their
gospel. It could be one of many factors
why a deep blue state elected a republican governor.
Now
Prince George’s Country is offering a way for churches to avoid paying the tax,
which is estimated to be an average of $744 per year for them — preach “green”
to their parishioners.
So far 30 pastors have agreed to begin
“‘green’ ministries to maintain the improvements at their churches, and to
preach environmentally focused sermons to educate their congregations” to avoid
being hit with the tax, The
Washington Post reports.
Prince George’s County’s Department of
Environment director Adam Ortiz told WBAL Radio churches “don’t have to preach,
per se,” that they could avoid the tax if they “provide educational programs to
teach them (parishioners) about how to be more sustainable. And to help them
engage in grant programs and other way that they can control the runoff from
their property.”
Man-made global warming is a religion to
progressives. This tax is a means to compel churches into preaching their gospel.
