John F. Kerry Lectures President Trump on Diplomacy

I take umbrage at having to sit here and listen to a scumbag like John F. Kerry lecture the American people and our president on diplomacy and the interest of the United States. This is the same man who stabbed his fellow soldiers in the back during Vietnam. He then stabbed the American people in the back by brokering the worst deal in our nation’s history. This fool legitimized an Iranian terrorist regime then flew cargo planes full of cash in the dark of the night into Tehran. Where did that money come from jerkoff? Did Congress authorize that? As far as I’m concerned, John F. Kerry should be on trial for treason. But here he is on his high horse looking down his nose at a president who actually loves this country.


“Why would an American president whose first NATO meeting last year was a disaster, show up in Belgium this year just to prove he doesn’t understand how vital alliances have made a huge difference for the security of the United States and the lives of Europeans?” Kerry asked. “I’d think he might remember that it was NATO that stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States after 9/11, among many other contributions.


Does a vital alliance double-deal with NATO’s sworn enemy? I bet John F. Kerry knew about this. And I have no doubt that this Iranian fiasco was somehow connected with Germany’s energy dependence on Russia. But here is the fool spewing his sanctimonious bullshit:

“The President set America back this morning,” he continued. “He is steadily destroying our reputation in the world. He is undermining our interests. He diminishes alliances we built to safeguard an economic and strategic force that has allowed millions of people to live in freedom.”

Kerry said Trump “displays a woeful ignorance” of the work he and Obama did.

“President Obama raised the issue in a constructive and collegial way that succeeded in securing a pledge from NATO members to increase their defense spending, without undermining the cohesion of the alliance in the process,” Kerry said. “President Obama and I worked hard using effective diplomacy — not bombast and demagoguery — to secure those sanctions in the first place. So too is European energy security an important topic for allies to discuss, even when they disagree. Instead, President Trump just insults friends who have sacrificed to hold that pressure together. There’s a time, place, and manner for raising issues with allies, and trashing them on camera in a way that calls into question the alliance itself isn’t it.”

He added: “What was on display in Brussels today was not the behavior of a strong, principled, and wise leader. Enough. This isn’t good for the United States and there are people across the aisle — as the Senate vote yesterday clearly showed — who know it and need to say it.”


No, Mr. Kerry it was the Obama administration that destroyed America’s reputation and interest throughout the world. Take note moron: no one respects a world leader who bows and scrapes before a foreign potentate. No one respects a leader who spits on his own country and people. No one respects an ally who forsakes them while embracing an enemy.


We don’t need lectures from the likes of a John F. Kerry. Go back into your hole, scumbag. You’re not wanted here.

Trump Storm: Germany Called Out For Double-Dealing

It was the worst of times, it was the Trump of times, it was the time when Democrats screamed at the heavens for want of power, it was the time when swamp dwellers cried at their desk for being rendered impotent, it was the time when the Republican establishment waxed envious from lack of respect, but most of all, it was the time when globalist cowered in fear for being exposed.


 

 This realization didn’t happen until President Donald J. Trump MAGA’d his way onto the world’s stage and declared war on the new world order. HIs inauguration speech was breathtaking in its audacity. He called out past presidents, who sat behind him, and rubbed their noses in their failures. Their legacies are the dog poo in the middle of the floor - repugnant, unsightly and unwanted. It was then we realized Donald J. Trump was the president true Americans have been waiting for.

 


The world got a taste of Trump the other day when he called out Germany for their double-dealing. It will go down as a classic as he publicly shamed Europe’s strongest economy for soaking NATO while colluding with the Russians. Make no mistake about it, Germany’s political class has betrayed their citizens and the European Union. They have been shamed and the globalist are aghast at our president’s “undiplomatic” tact. Too f###ing bad.


What is that on the horizon? It’s a Trump storm and the globalist are caught in it. Their dreams of turning us into serfs are over. The new world order is dead, long live President Donald J. Trump.

Illegal Immigration has Changed the Culture of the Democratic Party

Can one trust today’s media? I sure as hell don’t and with good reason. For instance, take a look at their hysteria over illegal aliens and their children. You would’ve thought we invaded the Third World and installed concentration camps. All this hyperbole for merely protecting our borders and sovereignty. Hell, you would’ve thought President Trump imposed the Fourth Reich.


The editorial board at the Charlotte Observer is a perfect example of emotion over reason and they do it by distorting statistics and facts. I never trust their assertions. One must always check their sources, if they give them, and then do extensive research. Their latest defense of this Third World invasion is typical leftist propaganda: illegals commit less crimes than native born; massive migration is not a threat to our culture, and they are just entitled to the welfare state as an American citizen. Basically, citizenship and the rule of law means nothing to these people.


I don’t care what the crime ratio is for illegal aliens. Common sense should tell you that crimes by illegals aliens wouldn’t happen if we protected our borders; this should be a non sequitur. However, that won’t stop the libtards at the Charlotte Observer. Their latest editorial uses an article from Politico about crime statistics in Germany. Here is an excerpt:


Of the many words Donald Trump used this week in defense of his horrific policy to separate children and their parents at the border, one tweet should especially trouble Americans. It's not the tweet you think — the repulsive one from Tuesday that said undocumented immigrants "infest our country." This one came a day before, as the heat began to intensify in response to the administration's border policy.


"Crime in Germany is way up," Trump said about migration in Europe. "Big mistake made all over Europe in allowing millions of people in who have so strongly and violently changed their culture!"


First, a quick fact check: Crime in Germany is, in fact, not up. It's down 5.1 percent since last year and is at its lowest rate since 1992.


More problematic is Trump's concern that immigrants have changed Germany's culture. That's a different immigration argument from the president, who previously has focused on security and safety and protecting Americans from the crimes committed by those here illegally. That's bunk, by the way. Statistics show that undocumented immigrants are considerably less likely to commit crimes than native-born citizens.


An interesting thing about this assertion is that statistic was presented by Interior Minister Horst Seehofer who wants to crackdown on asylum seekers and deport Muslims. Here is an excerpt from an article by Handelsblatt Global:


As of late, Mr. Seehofer has been resorting to dog whistle rhetoric to woo sympathizers of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which is expected to mount a strong challenge to his CSU party in a Bavarian regional election on October 14. Shortly after joining Ms. Merkel’s cabinet, he caused controversy by claiming “Islam is not a part of Germany,” rekindling a bogus debate in a country that is home to between four and five million Muslims.


Ms. Merkel is trying to defuse the row with Mr.Seehofer by offering concessions such as supporting his plan to speed up deportations of asylum seekers by building so-called “anchor centers” to house them from their arrival in Germany until their possible departure.

Deportations? Detention centers? Geez, that sounds alot like what is happening in the United States. Funny how the Charlotte Observer left that out of their editorial.

Forgetting Auschwitz in a Brave Progressive World

Earlier this week, the Washington Examiner reported 66% of millennials and 41% of adults couldn’t explain the significance of Auschwitz. I was absolutely stunned when I read that article. My first thought was how is this possible? This was standard fare in our history curriculum. I was aware of the holocaust in middle school. However, I wasn’t taught the facts on how a vocal and violent minority was able to subjugate a whole country and use that power to commit the greatest atrocity known to mankind.


If I were teaching history, and allowed to demonstrate the Nazification of Germany, I would show two videos: The Nazi Gospels and Hitler’s Empire: The Post War Plan - Nazification. An astute student would recognize the tactics used by today’s Progressives are the same as Hitler’s Brown Shirts. It’s uncanny.


First on their agenda was to takeover schools and brainwash the youth. Children are susceptible to propaganda. They haven’t developed critical thinking skills and therefore are easy targets. The youth were moulded into believing they were special and destined to fix the wrongs of previous generations. Doesn’t that remind you of today’s snowflakes?


Another facet on brainwashing was to take children away from their parents and deny adoption. We see that today. Liberals have declared Christians as dangerous bigots and shouldn’t be allowed to foist their religion on future Americans. Bigotry is a one way street with these people.


A common factor between Hitler’s Germany and today’s Progressives is the marginalization of Christians. Any business or business owner who openly professes their love of Jesus is boycotted, harassed and/or sued. Recently, The New Yorker published an article about Chick-Fil-A’s “infiltration” of Gotham. The writer freaked out over that company’s Christian principles. A couple of decades ago this wouldn’t have been a problem.


This brings us to another favorite tactic employed by totalitarians: fear and denunciation. In the world of Progressives, as it was in 1930’s Germany, Mao’s China and Stalin’s Soviet Union, individualism is frowned upon. People are pigeonholed into subset groups and every aspect of life is politicized. We can’t even watch a football game, movie, television show or an awards ceremony without a bunch of punks shoving their cause de jour in our face. These self-righteous snowflakes have been well indoctrinated in progressive rhetoric; but to others, words just won’t do.


Shaming is the first step to subjugation; violence the second and nothing melds these two principles together like Antifa and groups like it. These fascists have really embraced the Nazi gospels by subscribing to thuggish tactics such as shutting down speech, beating dissenters, terrorizing venues, vandalizing businesses and statues. These snowflakes are convinced of their superior ideology with remarkable assurance. They, like their 20th century predecessors, are indoctrinated in the belief that they too will someday share in the power. But first, all dissenters must be cowed.


One of the ironies these doctrinaires haven’t contemplated is how their elite exempt themselves from the rigours of their own ideology. We see that with today’s environmentalist, politicians and celebrities who laud spartan-esque lifestyles while they enjoy private jets and energy consuming mansions. The Nazis did the exact same thing but through fashion.


A way to virtue signal the superiority of Germanic culture was to dress like peasants. These drab costumes were encouraged because 97% of women’s fashion were dominated by Jews. However, burlap sacks wouldn’t suffice for the upper-echelon. Their wives wanted to look good. So, they enslaved Jews at concentration camps, like Auschwitz, to make dresses especially for them.


As we’ve seen, history is inconsequential to Progressives. They subscribe to a Darwinian ideology that emphasizes an evolving and just society that defies human experience. The ends justify the means to this crowd and the consequences be damned, as though history doesn’t repeat itself.


I’m sure others were shocked to find out 66% of millennials do not understand the significance of Auschwitz; but should we be, after considering what we know about Progressives? In their brave new world we can only hope future generations are fit enough to survive this particular strand of superior ideology.

Rape Proof Underwear Becomes a Necessity in Germany

Germany a Weapons Hub for Parisian Jihadist

It looks like Germany has become a hub for jihadist gun smuggling.  Bavarian police caught a member of the religion of peace armed to the teeth making his way to Paris.

A man arrested with a cache of weapons including explosives, hand grenades and machine guns in Germany last week has been linked with the Paris attacks by local media. Several kilograms of TNT were found along with pistols, revolvers and ammunition were discovered, according to public broadcaster Bayrischer Rundfunk.

Police found weapons and explosives concealed in a "professional" hiding place inside the 51-year-old's Volkswagen Golf when they arrested him near the Austrian border, the station reported. Documents seized at the time of his arrest provided "substantial evidence" that the man was making his way to Paris, they said.

Mama Merkel is highly disappointed.

Germany on Precipice of Anarchy/Civil War

Germany is on the precipice of anarchy or possibly a civil war, all because of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s traitorous immigration policies that will most certainly destroy that country’s culture, language and economy.  I don’t know how this woman can stay in power after this.

And the second reason is that in former Eastern Germany people are still aware of what it is living in a dictatorship. They are feeling quite well that our so-called democracy is sliding more and more towards a totalitarian state. Germans Told to Adapt to Refugee Customs to Avoid Molestation

Europe’s refugee crisis is more than what it seems.  These Muslims aren’t coming from war torn countries.  Some aren’t even economic refugees.  These people are taking advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity.  Here is an excerpt from the Daily Mail:

On the busy shopping street in Giessen, a German university town twinned with Winchester, migrant Atif Zahoor tucks into a chicken dish with his brother and cousin at the curry restaurant Chillie To Go.

They have left good jobs back in Karachi, Pakistan, and now want to be Europeans.

In late July the three slipped into Germany with their wives and children, using illegal documents. They live together in a five-bedroom house, rented for them by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government, a 40-minute drive away from Giessen, which is home to the biggest migrants’ camp in the country.

‘We paid a trafficking agent for false visas to fly here to Germany,’ says 34-year-old Atif. ‘We claimed asylum and came to Giessen camp with other migrants. Three weeks ago, because we had families, they gave us a proper home.’

Atif is well-dressed and speaks perfect English. He used to be a transport manager at Karachi airport and is from a well-to-do family. Between mouthfuls of curry, he adds: ‘But there is violence between political gangs in Karachi. Lots of people are leaving for Europe. The trafficker decided that Germany was the place for us because it is welcoming refugees.’

Now those gangs are in Germany.  Muslim men are raping women and children in refugee camps. Forced prostitution is rampant.  Natives near these camps have been told to adapt to the customs of their “guests” so as not to be molested.

In other parts of the country, Germans are being told to adapt their lifestyles when migrants arrive.

Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old girl was reportedly raped this month, have warned parents not to allow their children outside unaccompanied.

Girls and women have been told not to walk home alone from the railway station because it is near a migrant centre where the rapist may live.

At Pocking, another well-kept Bavarian town, the headmaster of the grammar school wrote to parents telling them not to let their daughters wear skimpy clothing. This was to avoid ‘misunderstandings’ with 200 migrants who were put up in the school’s gymnasium over the summer, before being moved on this month.

The letter to parents said the migrants were ‘mainly Muslim, and speak Arabic. They have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be warn... revealing tops or blouses, short skirts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings.’

If I were a German citizen, I do believe I would take up arms against Merkel and the traitors in parliament.  This is absolutely outrageous.

EPA Regulations Could Bring Down German Economy and E.U.

Who would’ve thought emissions regulations could not only bring down an automobile manufacturer, but also a country and possibly the European Union.  Germany could find itself in financial straits if the EPA shuts down one of its biggest employers.

Volkswagen Chief Executive Martin Winterkorn paid the price for the scandal over rigged emissions tests when he resigned on Wednesday and economists are now assessing its impact on a previously healthy economy.

 “All of a sudden, Volkswagen has become a bigger downside risk for the German economy than the Greek debt crisis,” ING chief economist Carsten Brzeski told Reuters.

 “If Volkswagen’s sales were to plunge in North America in the coming months, this would not only have an impact on the company, but on the German economy as a whole,” he added.

 Volkswagen sold nearly 600,000 cars in the United States last year, around 6 percent of its 9.5 million global sales.

The fanatics in the Obama administration have accomplished what a refugee crisis along with Greece and other spendthrifts countries couldn’t.  This financial catastrophe could bring down the Europe Union.  Germany is the economic powerhouse in the region.  Lecherous countries need a productive workforce to feed off.  It is quite astonishing that a regulatory agency could have that much power.

Islamic Invasive Species Threatens Europe

A couple of weeks ago, a king cobra escaped a licensed, snake owner’s home in Orlando, Florida.  Everyone is in a panic trying to find this venomous snake.  People are patrolling a nearby elementary school to ensure the safety of children.

 

The first thought I had when I heard this story was what kind of an asshole imports a deadly snake like that?  I’m sure I’m not alone.  This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of people importing foreign animals only to have it escape and become a threat to indigenous species.  Pythons, for one, are taking over the everglades in Florida.

There was a time when people could boat down parts of the Mississippi without being assaulted by hoards of Asian carp.  Some have made a sport out of skiing through a gauntlet of flying fish.  This invasive species has become a threat to the Great Lakes.

An invasive species isn’t exclusive to snakes and fish.  Foreigners can be just as dangerous and threatening to an indigenous population.  Europe is on the brink of committing cultural suicide by importing a hostile and supremacist ideology.  Islam is not compatible with Western civilization; yet, their leaders embrace this invasion.  Most of these “refugees” are young Muslim men of military age.  Anyone with common sense should instinctively know this is not a good idea.

To understand what is truly happening with this wave of immigration, The Gatestone Institute published the following:

Iran's Running of the Western Judas'

Look out!  Here comes the running of the Western Judas’!  Soulless companies and officious bureaucrats are rushing to Iran after the West capitulated to savvy Persian negotiators.  The mullahs sat back and watched naïve and greedy government officials practically wet themselves in anticipation of lifting sanctions.  Secretary John Kerry must have soiled a dumpster full of Depends.  How pathetic.

Germany had tremendous economic interest in ending sanction on Iran and it is not making any secrets of it. In June, just as the Iran deal was nearing its final phases, the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce (BIHK) noted in its newsletter[translation by me]:

Planned Parenthood's All Too Familiar Dehumanization Tactics

This year marks the 70^th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp.  The Nazi era is a case study in how a country lost its humanity.   We should also note it took only a small percentage of the population to hijack Germany and foist its ideological perversions on the populace.  No country is immune to these tactics and the people and organizations that employ them.

Planned Parenthood is an outgrowth of the Eugenics movement.  Their humanity reflects the culling ideologies of the early 20^th century.  According to Rasmussen, even today, after reports of ghoulish organ harvesting of the unborn, a healthy 25% of the American population still supports Planned Parenthood.

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 25% of Likely U.S. Voters favor the sale of body organs from aborted babies for use in medical research. Fifty-four percent (54%) oppose the sale of fetal body organs. But a sizable 22% are undecided,” the polling firm indicated.

Rasmussen followed up with another question referring to the body parts of aborted babies as tissue. That elicited even more support when it asked: “Do you favor or oppose the use of fetal tissue in medical research?”

 “However, when it comes to the use of fetal tissue in medical research, 43% favor it, while 34% are opposed. Twenty-three percent (23%) are not sure,” Rasmussen reported…

 …“Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters share a favorable opinion of Planned Parenthood, including 28% with a Very Favorable view. The organization is seen unfavorably by 37%, with 25% who hold a Very Unfavorable opinion of it,” Rasmussen indicated.

When I was in grade school, students were taught the ascendancy of multi-cellular organisms.  Cells –tissues – organs – organ system – organisms; or, in this case babies.  I’ve noticed that proponents of Planned Parenthood emphasize only tissue samples were being sold, when in fact, they are organs.  This is tactical dehumanization in order to make their positions more palatable.  Does that sound familiar?

Last week, I watched a documentary on Auschwitz.  A Nazi clerk described how guards dealt with a screeching Jewish child.  He said, they grabbed “IT” by the ankles and bashed “IT’s” head against the railcar. 

That Nazi clerk had to be in his 70’s when interviewed.  After all those years, he described that Jewish child as an “IT” instead of a human being.

Chancellor Merkel Confronts Refugee Crisis

Western civilization is being invaded by third-worlders.  No one can blame these supplicants for wanting a better life for themselves and their families.  The problem is the West can’t accommodate all these people.  It would be financial and cultural suicide to allow unfettered immigration.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is confronting a refugee tsunami head on.  Liberals see her policies as callous, but in the end it’s about self preservation.  A teenage Palestinian refugee sobbed about the prospects of deportation.  Merkel acted like a leader should.  Here is an excerpt from the Guardian:

During the discussion, entitled “Good life in Germany”, Reem, a Palestinian, told Merkel in fluent German that she and her family, who arrived in Rostock from a Lebanese refugee camp four years ago, face the threat of deportation.

She said: “I have goals like anyone else. I want to study like them ... it’s very unpleasant to see how others can enjoy life, and I can’t myself.”

Merkel responded by saying she understood, but that “politics is sometimes hard. You’re right in front of me now and you’re an extremely nice person. But you also know in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon are thousands and thousands and if we were to say you can all come ... we just can’t manage it.”

The chancellor said she hoped the decision-making process, as to which refugees could stay and which must return, would soon be made quicker. But she was forced to stop mid-sentence, and muttered “oh Gott”, on seeing that Reem was crying. She walked up to the girl and started stroking her shoulder, saying: “You were great ... I know it’s difficult for you and you presented extremely well the situation that many others find themselves in.”

It’s too bad the United States doesn’t have a president with a spine and the moral rectitude to confront our illegal alien problems.  Instead, he panders to these diasporas at the expense of American citizens.

Government Bureaucrats Shield Unscrupulous Politicians

When historians reflect upon the Age of Obama, they’ll note this was the era of federal bureaucrats.  They’ll state this president flaunted the administrative state like no other before; that it became self-evident that all three branches established and reaffirmed a fourth arm of government, and gave it the power to create and adjudicate its own rules, in fact circumventing the legislative process outlined in our Constitution.

This was cleverly done by politicians, who didn’t want to vote on controversial subjects, and have to face the wrath of their constituents.  What better way to implement laws that advance statism than a nameless and faceless bureaucrat, while at the same time, giving a politician a platform to rail against policies he secretively advocates.  One would say this form of government is un-American.  As a matter of fact it is! 

President Woodrow Wilson was a great advocate for the administrative state.  He was a proud elitist who resented the “little people” who criticized his genius.  Wilson had a disdain for the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.  He believed in Darwinian principles of societal evolution.  Progress became a dog whistle for a powerful centralized government and its legion of specialized bureaucrats.  This model of scientific administration Wilson admired was crafted by Europeans:

But where has this science grown up? Surely not on this side of the sea….American writers have hitherto taken no very important part in the advancement of this science. It has found its doctors in Europe. It is not of our making; it is a foreign science, speaking very little of the language of English or American principles….It has been developed by French and German professors.

Nazi Germany demonstrated how efficient and innovative a motivated government bureaucrat can be.  I watched a documentary on how the German people were kept in the dark on Hitler’s “Final Solution.”  Politicians didn’t want to get their hands dirty when it came to murder.  Even the Nazis were subject to public opinion.  So, with trial and error, they surreptitiously expelled Germanic Jews to concentration camps, all the while assuring their neighbors they were being sent to a better place.

And the role of the judiciary

It was the administrative state that collected data, confiscated property, transported, housed, and eventually murdered millions of Jews.  You will be hard pressed to find Adolf Hitler’s signature affixed to any document authorizing or acknowledging the “Final Solution.”  Bureaucrats shielded the Fuehrer as much as possible for plausible deniability.

The administrative state is designed to give plausible deniability to ambitious and deceitful politicians.  So far, under the Obama presidency, over 21,000 regulations have been implemented with an additional 2,375 scheduled for the year 2015.  And, of course, all this is being done with the clap and thunder of congressional outrage and grandstanding by our elected representatives.

What's Better, Germany's 1933 Enabling Act or U.S. 1946 Administrative Procedure Act?

The biggest threat to a republic is centralized power.  Washington D.C. has been on that quest since its inception.  The Supreme Court, under Marbury v. Madison, granted itself judicial review.  Nowhere in the Constitution do these powers exist.  They just took it and no one challenged them.  Gradually, the federal courts used precedent over principles to dictate policy and stomp on States’ self-determination.

If that’s not bad enough, Congress delegated its constitutionally mandated power to legislate.  The 1946 Administrative Procedure Act consolidated regulatory agencies under the executive branch.  This law granted unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats rule making and adjudicating powers.  Under an unprincipled and contemptuous president, such as Barack Obama, these agencies have been used to bypass the legislative process; not to mention violate the principles of separation of powers.

 Here is how President Obama has handled the regulation state during his tenure:

The analysis by the Administrative Conference of the United States (ACUS), an independent federal agency that monitors the government’s rule-making process, found that regulatory delays at OIRA spiked in 2012 as the administration put controversial rules on hold until after the election.

But the same can’t be said this time around with the congressional midterms approaching in November, observers say.

“I don’t think the Obama administration is willfully delaying regulations right now — at least not for the benefit of members of Congress running in November,” said Sam Batkins, regulatory director at the conservative American Action Forum.

OIRA is currently reviewing 24 rules and has already completed reviews of another 70 rules, putting the agency on pace to cycle through close to 125 rules by the end of the year.

Some say the tempo of regulations points to a schism between President Obama, who is focused on carving his legacy in Washington before his term expires in two years, and congressional Democrats, who are consumed with keeping control of the Senate. 

“There is certainly a cost from President Obama’s point of view to slowing down the amount of regulations,” said James Gattuso, who studies regulations at the conservative Heritage Foundation. “I don’t see any reason why he would want to do that.”

Shapiro, the former OIRA official, suggested President Obama has “less incentive” to protect Senate Democrats this time around than he had to protect himself during the 2012 campaign.

That’s because Obama doesn’t need Congress to push through his agenda.  He has federal bureaucracies to do his dirty work.

The 1946 Administrative Procedure Act was created to ensure a 4^th branch of government didn’t exist.  But putting it under the executive branch ensures dictatorial powers.  I’m reminded of Germany’s Enabling Act of 1933.  Hitler praised this legislation:

Just before the vote, Hitler made a speech to the Reichstag in which he pledged to use restraint.

"The government will make use of these powers only insofar as they are essential for carrying out vitally necessary measures...The number of cases in which an internal necessity exists for having recourse to such a law is in itself a limited one." - Hitler told the Reichstag.

He also promised an end to unemployment and pledged to promote peace with France, Great Britain and the Soviet Union. But in order to do all this, Hitler said, he first needed the Enabling Act.

A two thirds majority was needed, since the law would actually alter the German constitution. Hitler needed 31 non-Nazi votes to pass it. He got those votes from the Center Party after making a false promise to restore some basic rights already taken away by decree.

However, one man arose amid the overwhelming might. Otto Wells, leader of the Social Democrats stood up and spoke quietly to Hitler.

"We German Social Democrats pledge ourselves solemnly in this historic hour to the principles of humanity and justice, of freedom and socialism. No enabling act can give you power to destroy ideas which are eternal and indestructible."

This enraged Hitler and he jumped up to respond.

"You are no longer needed! - The star of Germany will rise and yours will sink! Your death knell has sounded!"

The vote was taken - 441 for, only 84, the Social Democrats, against. The Nazis leapt to their feet clapping, stamping and shouting, then broke into the Nazi anthem, the Hörst Wessel song.

They achieved what Hitler had wanted for years - to tear down the German Democratic Republic legally and end democracy, thus paving the way for a complete Nazi takeover of Germany.

Let’s see, Germany's Enabling Act or our 1946 Administrative Procedure Act.  How does that song go?  Potato…potato…
