GOP Waste Another Opportunity in CNN Health Care Debate

Last night, CNN hosted a debate on Obamacare, and as expected, they paraded out a bunch of victims demanding socialized medicine.  I can think of a few who understood that the federal government is responsible for the high cost of insurance and outrageous deductibles.  Most, including the hosts, pined for “free stuff.”

Senator Bernie Sanders led the charge for a single-payer system with the usual bumper sticker slogans with little to no thought.  He decried that it was easy to beat up on the federal government, but thought nothing about demagoguing insurance and pharmaceutical companies.  His performance was what I expected from a brainless socialist.

However, Senator Lindsey Graham was a disappointment.  I could not believe he spouted the liberal mantra that insurance companies are making record profits.  My mouth dropped open as he went down this road.  How long has this fool been a politician?  Bernie Sanders practically jumped out of his chair.  He couldn’t believe his luck.

I have a question for these two morons, if insurance companies are making record profits, then why are they leaving the exchanges? Hell, most are getting out of the business, altogether. And why are they demanding bailouts?  Why do 45% of the counties in this country have one insurance company if they’re making record profits?  The answer should be obvious.

The two Democratic senators, along with the hosts, bemoaned the Republican health care plans trillion dollar reduction in Medicaid funding.  They bewailed the prospect of 30 million people leaving the Medicaid plantation and buying their own insurance.  A disabled woman wondered what was going to happen to her.

First of all, Medicaid was established to service the poor and disabled.  But now they’re getting substandard service because the middle-class, who can no longer afford insurance,  qualify for this government program.  The Democrats have succeeded in destroying the middle-class. Congratulations, yahoos.

Neither Sens. Graham or Cassidy articulated the viewpoint that the Democratic Party created health insurance cartels where a few monopolize the industry.  They didn’t use this opportunity to educate the American people about the difference between health insurance and actual health care cost.  This would have been a perfect opportunity to demonstrate that Medicare is responsible for the high cost of health care and that a third party payer system has distorted the market.

Sens. Cassidy and Graham made some strong arguments for passage of their bill.  But when you’re dealing on an issue that is as emotional as this, you have to do a better job.

Senator Lindsey Graham Begs at Ugly Dog Party

When I look upon that cesspool known as Washington D.C., it reminds me of middle school.  You have the popular kids, who get all the attention, and then you have others who want to be in that clique.  The best vehicle for those forlorn nerds to gain attention is to have their faces plastered all over the school newspaper.

Establishment republicans have that “I wannabe popular” complex.  They want acceptance from the Washington D.C. socialites so bad, they’ll sell out their constituents in a heartbeat just to be invited to the ugly dog party.

Senator Lindsey Graham is one of those ugly dogs.  He slavishly courts the D.C. clique by selling their talking points.  One of those is threatening conservatives with the usual, “we will lose the presidency” if we don’t pander to millions of illegal aliens who’ve violated our laws and sovereignty.

"If we don't at least make a down payment on solving the problem and rationally dealing with the 11 million [people in the country illegally], if we become the party of self-deportation in 2015 and 2016, then the chance of winning the White House I think is almost nonexistent," Graham said on CNN's "State of the Union" in an interview posted Sunday.

Graham also called for a measure to help the "Dreamers," who are people brought to the U.S. illegally as children. President Obama took executive action in 2012 to grant such people legal status, and then expanded his actions after the midterm elections to include more people.

"If the Republican Party cannot muster the political courage to deal with the Dream Act children in a fair and balanced way after we secure our border, that says a lot about the Republican Party's future regarding the Hispanic community," Graham said. "I don't believe most Americans would fault the Republican Party if we allowed children who have been here since they're babies to assimilate into society with a pathway to citizenship after we secure our borders."

Senator Lindsey Graham has no regard for American citizenship, his constituents, or the state of South Carolina.  He has demonstrated time after time that he will sell them out just for a chance to be invited to the ugly dog party.

What really takes political courage and fortitude is to take on the D.C. establishment like a Senator Ted Cruz.  Instead, Senator Lindsey Graham rehashes a redux of Simpson-Mazzoli, a proven policy failure.

Don’t lecture us on political courage, Senator Lindsey Graham.  Go back to your D.C. doghouse and chew on the scraps your masters have thrown near your dish.

The 2014 Rino Season is Officially Open

2014 is here.  The Rino hunt has begun.  Conservatives and Tea Party activist have had enough of the status quo.  The Republican D.C. establishment has abused our good faith long enough.  The two obvious collaborators have each received a slap across the face.  The first broadside was sent to Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina last September by the Fairfield County Republican Executive Committee.  Here is their censure:

During their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, September 19, eighty-two percent of the Fairfield County Republican Party Executive Committee voted to pass a seven page Resolution censoring U. S. Senator Lindsey Graham.

Copies of the Censure Resolution were sent to Senator Graham, SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore and each SouthCarolina county chairman. The Greenville County Republican Party Executive Committee is set to vote on a similar censure of Sen. Graham during their regular meeting on October 7, 2013. The Resolution was introduced in August.

The Resolution listed 29 actions that Fairfield County Republicans “strongly disapprove of and hold to be fundamentally inconsistent with the principles of the South Carolina Republican Party.”

1. Voted to confirm Obama’s appointment to Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
2. Supported arming Al Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood Revolutionaries in Syria.
3. Supported amnesty but not border control.
4. Supported NSA spying on private American citizens.
5. Supported abridging the First Amendment for those who criticize the government.
6. Supported massive new internet sales tax.
7. Supported restrictions on the Second Amendment.
8. Supported Obama’s drone program against American Citizens.
9. Supported subordinating American sovereignty to the United Nations.
10. Supported giving foreign aid to terrorist governments in the Middle East.
11. Supported granting members of the Muslim Brotherhood high level positions in the U. S. Government.
12. Supported giving taxpayer money to international organizations.
13. Supported giving taxpayer money for excessive foreign aid, not just terrorist organizations in the Middle East.
14. Opposed principled application of free trade policies.
15. Supported restricting the First Amendment rights to criticize Islamic radicalism.
16. Opposed making Bush tax cuts permanent.
17. Supported Obama’s appointments to the Supreme Court (2010).
18. Sided with Democrats on government regulation to combat “climate change.”
19. Criticized the SCGOP for defending the Republican platform.
20. Supported Obama’s appointments to Supreme Court (2009).
21. Supported liberal proposal to nationalize banks.
22. Supported Obama’s energy taxes and Cap and Trade.
23. Supported bailouts for financial institutions (TARP).
24. Supported bailouts for independent mortgage institutions (Fanny Mae and  Freddy Mac).
25. Supported amnesty but not border control – and sided with Ted Kennedy over Jim DeMint.
26. Opposed President Bush’s conservative nominee from South Carolina to the Court of Appeals.
27. Praised Hillary Clinton’s prospects for higher office.
28. Failed to fight for President Bush’s conservative judicial nominees generally.
29. Opposed medical malpractice tort reform.

Each of the above items were accompanied with documented justification. The final paragraph in the Resolution reads as follows:

“This body takes this action and adopts this Resolution in full confidence in its own good faith, with no personal animosity or ill will to the supporters of Lindsey Graham or to Lindsey Graham himself, to whom this body extends its hand in friendship and warmly looks forward to his rejoining us as private citizen of the State of South Carolina.

And for the biggest Rino of them all, Senator John McCain was censured as well by the Maricopa County GOP.  Here is the full resolution:

Senator John McCain Censured by Arizona’s Republican Leadership

As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Party’s values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:
Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees;

Whereas this record has been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and,
Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure our borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-flop on those promises; and
Whereas McCain has abandoned our core values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party, therefore
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican leadership censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he consistently champions our Party’s Platform and values, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.

Rino season is officially open.

Here is a Poster for Repealing the 17th Amendment

This should be the poster for repealing the 17th Amendment.  The Senate has become a good ole boys club; not a representation of the States as was intended.

Victim Politics Has Arrived!

It sure didn’t take long for the left to start playing victim politics. An ad targeting Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina portrays a woman named Agnes, who is a librarian with a torn rotator cup, pleading that the meanie from the Palmetto State not raise the retirement age for social security.

I’m sorry Agnes, but I’m going to have to rain on your pity party. If you can’t do your job, then you can apply for workman’s compensation. Agnes is lucky that she can do this. Unlike contractors who are forced to pay into the system and by law can’t collect. How perverse is that Agnes? I guess the small business owner is screwed again.

I know of a deck builder, who has for the past 14 years been working with unbelievable pain. He pops painkillers and Goody’s aspirin and still works his ass off. And believe me Agnes, pretreated lumber is a hell of a lot heavier than a book; and I’ve never heard of him complaining about his social security. As a matter of fact, what he does complain about is how much money he has to pay the IRS. I guess that is the difference between a small business owner and a government employee.

Sen. John McCain Pines for the Maverick Label

John McCain denied his maverick status during a tough primary campaign against J.D. Hayworth.  It seems that the failed GOP presidential candidate wanted to reassure the conservatives in the Republican Party that he was going to spend more time on his side of the aisle:  a maverick I'm not.

The mantle of "maverick" was being bestowed upon McCain's toadie: Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.  Graham will not face reelection for another four years and can afford to stab his constituents in the back.  Newsweek magazine, a liberal rag, reported the wrath that John McCain laid upon those who would dare take his title:

Yet months earlier, according to Ryan Lizza’s New Yorker piece about the failure of climate-change legislation this year, McCain became "enraged" when a December 2009 article on Time's Web site passed the nickname on to Sen. Lindsay Graham, whom the headline called the NEW GOP MAVERICK IN THE SENATE. Writes Lizza:

Graham told colleagues that McCain had called him and yelled at him, incensed that he was stealing the maverick mantle. “After that Graham story came out, McCain completely stopped talking to me,” Jay Newton-Small, the author of the Time piece, said.

It looks like Arizona was duped again.  McCain is laying low; just waiting until he secures the election and then he is going to bring out that sharp knife and stab you dumb asses in the back again.

With that, McCain’s statement to NEWSWEEK in April 2010 seems even more out of place. While he may have publicly shunned the maverick label, it appears likely that he's merely concealing his independent streak, keeping it under wraps until he can secure another six-year Senate term. At the very least, his jealousy of Graham indicates McCain does, at least on some level, value his maverick reputation. Since it appears McCain will win a fifth term easily, here’s hoping he reassumes the maverick mantle come 2011. The dreadfully deadlocked Senate could use one.

THE MAVERICK RETURNS WITH A VENGEANCE!!

Senator Lindsey Graham Meets With Tea Partiers

Senator Lindsey Graham had a closed door meeting with a group of South Carolina tea partiers.  Many are disturbed by his advocacy for progressive issues such as climate change, amnesty for illegal aliens; and voting for Obama's radical supreme court nominees.

Grahmnesty is running scared and hoping a preemptive strike will placate the conservatives who have cast a suspect eye on the errant politician.  The Patriots in the palmetto state are looking for a challenger and Graham knows it.  His 58-42% win in 2008 means nothing in this political climate.  Incumbent RINO's have lost in this years primaries; even John McCain ran to the right of Barry Goldwater, so as not to be humiliated in his bid for another term.

Senator Graham acknowledges that conservatives have a right to disagree on issues that he advocates; but that is reciprocal:

"If you can't accept me pushing back, then our party does have a problem. It's OK for you to push back against me, but it's OK for me to push back against you," Graham said on WTMA radio in South Carolina, where he received a grilling over his record. "You may not like my political style of trying to find compromise on the big issues of our time, but I think it's the heart and soul of what makes America great."

What makes America great Senator is the Constitution of the United States; not your compromises on the great issues of the day.

It must really irk Senator Lindsey Graham to answer to all of the bigots who disagree with him on his voting record.  I'm sure the Progressive Caucus and La Raza will stroke his bruised ego.

Tyranny by Judiciary

California’s proposition 8 was overturned last week by a federal judge. The equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment was again cited. This amendment is the most abused; if not the most misinterpreted amendment in jurisprudence history.

The 14th Amendment was established to guarantee ex-slaves and their progeny citizenship and due process. It was not established for illegals to come over our border and drop their anchor babies; nor was it established for the federal government to become the overlords of the states. Now every state that amended their constitution that defined a marriage is between one man and one woman can now be considered “unconstitutional”, because one judge doesn’t know his history.

Senator Lindsay Graham stated in a recent interview that we have to address the 14th Amendment.

Many are saying that we have to go through the amendment process. No we don’t! All we need is the court; congress; or a president to stand up and say the 14th amendment has been misinterpreted: the courts were wrong. And if they don’t have the balls to do what is right, the states must use nullification to right the abuses of the federal government.

Elena Kagan was just sworn in to the Supreme Court. She is the epitome of an activist judge.

We are now living in a country that is under tyranny by judiciary.

Sen. Lindsey Graham's Climate Revelation

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina changed his mind on global warming and proclaimed that he will not support the cap and tax bill that he co-authored. The change is stunning considering his advocacy for controlling carbon.

"The science about global warming has changed," he noted, offhandedly. "I think they've oversold this stuff, quite frankly. I think they've been alarmist and the science is in question," Graham told reporters. "The whole movement has taken a giant step backward."

Oversold is an understatement; these scientist outright lied and manipulated data. The movement has taken a giant step backward only because it was exposed as a fraud.

Senator Graham still believes in profiting off of a carbon based economy. He explains in a twisted way:

It makes sense to me that the planet is heating up because you can measure heat. It's not a stretch to say that what goes into the air is contributing to global warming, but I don't want to be in the camp that says I know people in Northern Virginia will never see snow. At the end of the day, I think carbon pollution is worthy of being controlled, whether you believe in global warming or not. I do believe that all the CO2 gases, greenhouse gases from cars, trucks, and utility plants is not making us a healthier place, is not making our society better, and it's coming at the expense of our national security and our economic prosperity. So put me in the camp that it's worthy to clean up the air and make money doing so. This idea that carbon's good for you. I want that debate. There's a wing of our party who thinks carbon pollution is okay. I'm not in that wing.

Senator Graham stated that global warming was not his religion. We can only hope that his revelation will stop him from committing heresy on our republic and the economy.
