I’m sure if you hang out long enough in New York City you’ll see all sorts of indecency.  I find it laughable that a self-righteous libtard took offense to a statue of Hillary Clinton in downtown Manhattan.

An artist erected an obscene statue of Hillary Clinton in downtown Manhattan Tuesday morning causing a heated fight between defenders of the profane piece of protest art and women trying to tear it down.

The grotesque caricature of the Democratic candidate appeared outside the Bowling Green station during morning rush hour on Tuesday and shows Clinton with hoofed feet and a Wall Street banker resting his head on her bare breasts.

The statue was up for less than three hours before an enraged woman toppled it over and started yelling at the statue’s creator.

Liberals love free speech as long as it comports to their ideology.  They’re quite intolerant of others point of view.

Obama Benedict Arnolds the Internet

Democrats can’t wait to hand the internet over to a foreign body simply because they want censorship.  These people don’t believe in freedom of speech when it comes to their political foes.  Look at what they did to the Tea Party.  Senator Chuck E. Schumer and his comrades demanded the IRS crackdown on citizens who dared to organize and speak out against the abuses of the federal government.  I guess some people are more equal than others. 

The First Amendment is fundamentally American. For Barack Obama to hand the internet over to a foreign body is equivalent to Benedict Arnold handing over West Point to the British during the Revolutionary War.  Arnold committed treason over petty jealousies and for money; Obama just despises this country.   

Oregon Bureaucrat Denies Christian Business Owners First Amendment Rights

The strange case of an overzealous politician and bureaucrat hunting down Christian business owners and denying them freedom of association and religion has morphed into a complete repudiation of the First Amendment.  A Christian couple was ordered by Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian to “cease and desist” from speaking or publishing their thoughts about the commissioner’s thuggery in driving them out of business because they didn’t want to participate in a gay wedding.

The Daily Signal reported the following:

“This effectively strips us of all our First Amendment rights,” the Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, which has since closed, wrote on their Facebook page. “According to the state of Oregon we neither have freedom of religion or freedom of speech.”

 The cease and desist came about after Aaron and Melissa Klein participated in an interview with Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins. During the interview, Aaron said among other things, “This fight is not over. We will continue to stand strong.”

Lawyers for plaintiffs, Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer, argued that in making this statement, the Kleins violated an Oregon law banning people from acting on behalf of a place of public accommodation (in this case, the place would be the Kleins’ former bakery) to communicate anything to the effect that the place of public accommodation would discriminate.

“The Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries hereby orders [Aaron and Melissa Klein] to cease and desist from publishing, circulating, issuing or displaying, or causing to be published … any communication to the effect that any of the accommodations … will be refused, withheld from or denied to, or that any discrimination be made against, any person on account of their sexual orientation,” Avakian wrote.

Commissioner Brad Avakian is a typical government thug straight from old school USSR, and that is basically what Hans Von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation stated:

It is exactly this kind of oppressive persecution by government officials that led the pilgrims to America. And Commissioner Avakian’s order that the Kleins stop speaking about this case is even more outrageous—and also a fundamental violation of their right to free speech under the First Amendment.

 Avakian would have fit right in as a bureaucrat in the Soviet Union or Red China. Oregon should be ashamed that such an unprincipled, scurrilous individual is a government official in the state.

If there is one thing we must learn, it's liberals have no shame.

NC Progress: The Demagogues of The Old North State

One thing you can count on is an avalanche of lies by liberals.  A group called NC Progress has been yelling through the snowcapped mountains about how unfair it is that associations and businesses have a say in the political process.  They believe “big money” is a corrupting influence, and that the American voter is too stupid to discern what is right and wrong.

 A common refrain by liberals is “corporations are not people.”  Well I disagree.  A corporation is made up of employees, managers, accountants, lawyers, shareholders, and board members.  These businesses also hire vendors and provide a valuable service to their customers.  All of whom are people.  So, corporations are people.

The progressives are also against associations.  They would have people like Art Pope and other like minded citizens excluded from the political process by denying them the right to fund political candidates to whom they are ideologically aligned.  The progressives want a publicly financed system; meaning, we conservatives would have to fund our political enemies against our will.  Against our will seems to be a common goal amongst these totalitarians.

   

You’ll notice a mantra,”one person, one vote.”  What in the hell is that supposed to mean?  Are they implying that a corporation is bellying up to the voting booth.  Of all the years of voting, I’ve never seen that happen, and neither have they.  How nonsensical is that?  It never ceases to amaze me how liberals can be duped by slogans.  I suggest the Progressives read the First Amendment, instead of bumper stickers.  They might learn something.

Federal Judge Dictates What NC License Plates Say

The Bill of Rights was implemented, or should I say demanded, by the States to protect their sovereignty and the rights of their citizens from the abuses of the Federal Government.  The Constitution wouldn’t have passed without it.  Not one State would’ve cast aside the Articles of Confederation for this new form of government without this indemnification.  But now we have federal judges impeding upon what is left of a States prerogative:

RALEIGH A federal judge has ruled that North Carolina cannot issue “Choose Life” license plates without offering a choice of plates with a different viewpoint.

U.S. District Court Judge James Fox ruled Friday that the state’s attempt to offer “Choose Life” plates only is unconstitutional because it is “viewpoint discrimination in violation of the First Amendment.”

The ruling comes 15 months after the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on behalf of four "pro-choice automobile owners" who contended the "Choose Life" plates were state-sponsored discrimination.

Attempts to persuade the Republican-led legislature to amend legislation to include “Respect Choice” plates or “Trust Women. Respect Choice” plates failed.

No “Choose Life” plates have been issued. Fox halted sales while the ACLU lawsuit was pending.

The 2011 law, which approved other specialty plates, too, would have directed proceeds from the "Choose Life" plates to the Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship, a nonprofit pregnancy care ministry.

“This is a great victory for the free speech rights of all North Carolinians, regardless of their point of view on reproductive freedom,” Chris Brook, legal director of the ACLU’s North Carolina Legal Foundation, said in a statement. “The government cannot create an avenue of expression for one side of a contentious political issue while denying an equal opportunity to citizens with the opposite view.”

The Progressives are all about precedents; not principles.  Maybe they should consult Barron v. Baltimore.  The Marshall Supreme Court ruled that the first eight amendments in the Bill of Rights did not apply to the States, only to the Federal Government.  How convenient that today’s justices forget about that.

Liberals and Islamist Scheme to Limit the First Amendment

Here comes the frontal assault on the First Amendment. Earlier this year, Democrats led by Sen. Chuck E. Schumer, proposed a constitutional amendment to limit political speech. Now, the drumbeat has picked up pace. Liberal talk show host, Bill Press is demanding that all Kaffirs watch their mouths when talking about Muhammad. He believes no one has the right to criticize another religions “prophet."

Now here's the question though and the question that I ask you and it's not an easy one, I understand that. What, if anything, should happen to the people who made this video? I gotta tell you, I think they are as guilty, that's my opinion, I think they are as guilty as the terrorists who carried out those attacks against our embassy in Libya. Look, we don't know everybody who was involved, but we've seen, I've seen some of them on television. This is a group of extremist, Muslim-hating, so-called Christians in southern California who are using their religion to stir up hatred against Islam. They're basing this on their Christian beliefs. They are, I believe, every bit as guilty as al Qaeda members who, think about it, who use the Koran and abuse their religion to stir up hatred against the United States. These so-called Christians, anybody who uses religion to stir up hate, is not a true believer. And certainly Christians who do so are not true Christians.

It’s funny that I’ve never heard Mr. Press defend Christians against blasphemers. But then again, Christians don’t go on murdering rampages. The Islamic avenger ends his rant with this chilling demand:

This is an abuse of the First Amendment. It's using, abusing their freedom of speech to cost innocent lives and to cause the taking of innocent lives in certain parts of the world. So, I think the United States ought to identify, yeah, we oughta be going after these terrorists that carried out the attacks in Libya and we are. I think we also ought to be identifying the people who made this video and go after them with the full force of the law and lock their ass up.

What is it with liberals and Islamist? Why are they allies? You see this happening in Europe, and now we’re seeing it in the United States. And as if on cue, here comes the Iranian president trying to enforce what Mr. Bill Press is advocating:

A senior Iranian official says US President Barack Obama could face legal action in connection with the production of an anti-Islam movie by an American Jew.

“A complaint could be filed with US courts against Obama for his violation of articles 18 and 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) calling for respect of faiths,” Javad Mohammadi, the deputy head of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution (SCCR), said on Sunday.“Article 18 and 27 of the ICCPR, adopted by the United Nation, stipulate that the religion and the rights of the minorities should be respected,” Mohammadi said.

The US government is a signatory to this covenant and has to respect it. Therefore, an individual or an NGO (non-governmental organization) can file a lawsuit against the president of the country for breach of the covenant, he added.

Mohammadi heaped praise on the Muslims for their massive protests against the movie, noting “Protest against insults to religious sanctities should not be limited to time, place and customary reactions and we should undertake legal measures.”

1. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Article 27

In those States in which ethnic, religious or linguistic minorities exist, persons belonging to such minorities shall not be denied the right, in community with the other members of their group, to enjoy their own culture, to profess and practise their own religion, or to use their own language.

I don’t see a prohibition of criticizing another’s religion. And if there was, it would be a violation of our Constitution. But leave it to Obama. He’ll find a way, along with is axis of evil to muzzle the American people.

Progressives Muzzle Churches Through the Tax Code

Holy week is here. Christians celebrate Easter; Jews Passover and the godless heathens will worship at the altar of Big Government on April 17. It’s a cornucopia of religious fervor. Can I get an Amen! And for the socialist: Can we confiscate a dollar!

Should we be surprised that Confiscation Day is in proximity to Easter and Passover? Since the time of the Civil War, the Progressives have yearned for a holiday of their own. They had a conundrum: how can we expand our power and revenue stream, and at the same time muzzle the preachers who oppose our agenda. How can we accomplish this in one felled swoop?

The Progressives had an epiphany. They passed the 1894 Tariff Act:

US churches' federal income tax exemption was not formerly enacted as legislation until the Tariff Act was passed by Congress in 1894, providing tax exemptions to "corporations, companies, or associations organized and conducted solely for charitable, religious, or educational purposes." [51] This was the first time the federal government declared any group exempt from paying taxes, as opposed to its earlier practice of only listing entities subject to taxation. [38] Although the Tariff Act was declared unconstitutional in 1896, the church tax exemption was reinstated by the Revenue Act of 1913, which defined the modern American income tax system. [45] [46] On Jan. 14, 1924, the US Supreme Court interpreted the reason for the exemption in Trinidad v. Sagrada Orden: "Evidently the exemption is made in recognition of the benefit which the public derives" from churches' "corporate activities." [47]

The very idea that the federal government can assign a tax code to religious organizations is a violation of the First Amendment. Freedom of speech, association and religion is a God given right. No man or government should have the ability to take that away. But that is exactly what the Progressives did with the Revenue Act of 1913 and 1894.

So the next time you here of a church under threat of losing their tax exempt status for speaking out against the tyrannical policies of the Progressives, you’ll know where this abomination originated.

Pennsylvania Judge Imposes Sharia Law on American Citizen

When I first read this story, I didn’t believe it. A Pennsylvanian atheist participated in a Halloween parade dressed as a zombie Muhammad. A Muslim watching the spectacle attacked, and beat the reveler. The crime was caught on tape. The perpetrator (Muslim) admitted his guilt but stated that he was an immigrant and was ignorant of the law. He further stated that his religion obligates him to beat anyone who defames their prophet Muhammad. The judge adjudicating the case – also a Muslim – sided with the defendant. Here is what the magistrate said to the atheist, as reported by Opposing Views:

“Having had the benefit of having spent over 2 and a half years in predominantly Muslim countries I think I know a little bit about the faith of Islam. In fact I have a copy of the Koran here and I challenge you sir to show me where it says in the Koran that Mohammad arose and walked among the dead. I think you misinterpreted things. Before you start mocking someone else’s religion you may want to find out a little bit more about it it makes you look like a dufus and Mr. (Defendant) is correct. In many Arabic speaking countries something like this is definitely against the law there. In their society in fact it can be punishable by death and it frequently is in their society.

Judge Martin then offered a lesson in Islam, stating,

“Islam is not just a religion, it’s their culture, their culture. It’s their very essence their very being. They pray five times a day towards Mecca to be a good Muslim, before you die you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca unless you are otherwise told you can not because you are too ill too elderly, whatever but you must make the attempt. Their greetings wa-laikum as-Salâm (is answered by voice) may god be with you. Whenever, it’s very common when speaking to each other it’s very common for them to say uh this will happen it’s it they are so immersed in it.

Judge Martin furmisunderstanding it ther complicates the issue by not only abrogating the First Amendment, but completely when he said,

“Then what you have done is you have completely trashed their essence, their being. They find it very very very offensive. I’m a Muslim, I find it offensive. But you have that right, but you’re way outside your boundaries or first amendment rights. This is what, and I said I spent about 7 and a half years living in other countries. when we go to other countries it’s not uncommon for people to refer to us as ugly Americans this is why we are referred to as ugly Americans, because we are so concerned about our own rights we don’t care about other people’s rights as long as we get our say but we don’t care about the other people’s say”

But wait, it gets worse. The Judge refused to allow the video into evidence, and then said,

“All that aside I’ve got here basically.. I don’t want to say he said she said but I’ve got two sides of the story that are in conflict with each other.”

And,

“The preponderance of, excuse me, the burden of proof… “

And,

“…he has not proven to me beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant is guilty of harassment, therefore I am going to dismiss the charge”


Holy **** this judge just imposed Sharia Law on an American citizen. We’ve seen this kind of nonsense happen all over Europe, Great Britain, and Canada. Now, it has come to the United States. We cannot allow Judge Martin to abrogate our laws in deference to Sharia. This magistrate has crossed the line and needs to be removed from office.

The ACLU Continues N.C. Anti-Christian Jihad

The ACLU is continuing their jihad on North Carolina Christians. Rowan County Commissioners were handed a notice telling them to shut their Jesus praying pie holes or else they’ll have to pay the jizya.

SALISBURY, NC- The Rowan County Commissioners open every meeting with a prayer. Vice-Chairman Carl Ford says it's been that way since he can remember.

“I'm going to pray before the meetings and I'm going to pray in the name of Jesus because that's my right,” said Ford.

In a letter to commissioners this week, the ACLU legal director writes, “These legislative prayers are explicitly sectarian and favor only one religion, Christianity." It goes on to read, "…We have received more complaints about sectarian legislative prayer by the rowan county board of commissioners than any other local government in North Carolina..."

Received complaints? Then let those malcontent citizens address the commissioners, instead of a bunch of communist interlopers who spit on the First Amendment rights of Christians every chance they get.

ACLU Bullies North Carolina's General Assembly

The ACLU is ramping up their anti-Christian jihad. They have just sent a letter to North Carolina’s General Assembly, warning them to not mention Jesus Christ in any of their formal invocations.

RALEIGH – Bolstered by a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision not to intervene in a case involving prayer at government meetings, the North Carolina chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union warned the General Assembly Thursday to curtail religion-specific invocations at its sessions.

“We recommend that you adopt a policy to ensure that the NCGA halts the practice of opening sessions with sectarian invocations,” Katy Parker, the group’s legal director, wrote in a letter to Attorney General Roy Cooper, whose office represents state government in legal matters.

One prominent North Carolina pastor sees the letter as the first sign of wider consequences from a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to let stand an appeals court’s ban on sectarian prayer at meetings of the Forsyth County Board of Commission.

“This is a radical interpretation, an extreme interpretation, of the First Amendment,” said the Rev. Mark Creech, director of the Christian Action League.

According to the ACLU, freedom of speech isn’t part of the First Amendment, especially if you’re a Christian. One has to ask who funds these bullies and what is their origin? The following two videos give insight into this anti-American organization:








In 1833, the Supreme Court ruled in Barron v. Baltimore, that the Bill of Rights restricted the federal government, and had no bearing on the states. It wasn’t until the 20th century that we began to see the misuse and abuse by federal judges, particularly through a misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment. It’s through this Trojan horse that the ACLU and their anti-American conspirators are suppressing freedom of religion and speech.

The sovereignty of states and individual freedom has been under attack for decades. If we are to escape the grasp of totalitarian organizations like the ACLU, and limit the powers of the federal government, then we must repeal the 14th Amendment.

Federal Judge Rules Jesus Causes 'Irreparable Harm'

It’s that time of year, when young people reach a milestone that signifies a turning point in life; when it is time to put toys away, and accept the responsibilities of an adult; it is time for graduation.  And with this ceremony of pomp and circumstance, graduates discover they really aren’t adults, because a federal judge has deemed that an invocation would cause irreparable harm to students and families:

A federal judge has ordered a Texas school district to prohibit public prayer at a high school graduation ceremony. Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery’s order against the Medina Valley Independent School District also forbids students from using specific religious words including “prayer” and “amen.”

The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Christa and Danny Schultz. Their son is among those scheduled to participate in Saturday’s graduation ceremony. The judge declared that the Schultz family and their son would “suffer irreparable harm” if anyone prayed at the ceremony.

I wonder what kind of irreparable harm these nitwits would suffer.  Did the court allow a scientific inquiry into the malefic causation of prayer, and the invocation of the One who can’t be named:  Jesus Christ?  Forget about Harry Potter’s nemesis; whatever you do, don’t say the Lord’s name in public.  It could be a lawsuit.

The agnostics and atheist, along with their power hungry judges, have completely bastardized the First Amendment.  Our founding fathers believed that religion has an important role in this country; that good citizens derive moral guidance from the precepts of Christianity.

After the Revolutionary War, a great migration from the east into the newly acquired lands just past the Appalachian Mountains occurred.  These citizens needed guidance and a proclamation known as the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 was issued.  Here is what our founding fathers had to say about religion and its importance within the classroom:

Art. 3. Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.

A famous Frenchman noted the necessity of religion in the United States, and testified to the importance Christianity had on western expansion and our institutions:

I have known of societies formed by the Americans to send out ministers of the Gospel into the new Western States to found schools and churches there, lest religion should be suffered to die away in those remote settlements, and the rising States be less fitted to enjoy free institutions than the people from which they emanated. I met with wealthy New Englanders who abandoned the country in which they were born in order to lay the foundations of Christianity and of freedom on the banks of the Missouri, or in the prairies of Illinois. It is, therefore, our interest that the new States should be religious, in order to maintain our liberties." Such are the opinions of the Americans, and if any hold that the religious spirit which I admire is the very thing most amiss in America, and that the only element wanting to the freedom and happiness of the human race is to believe in some blind cosmogony, or to assert with Cabanis the secretion of thought by the brain, I can only reply that those who hold this language have never been in America, and that they have never seen a religious or a free nation. When they return from their expedition, we shall hear what they have to say.

 This observation cuts right to the chase.  What we are witnessing is not just a loss of religious freedom, but also the right to free speech; and all in the name of a myth:  Separation of Church and State.

How many times have we seen these people shout down speakers at an event? Ann Coulter had to cancel an event at a campus in Ottawa, because a bunch of students wouldn't allow her to speak.

I'm not aware of a conservative group using tactics like this. Then again, they are more respectful of people's first amendment rights.
