Taxachusetts: A Libtard's Utopian Destination

Here we are, once again, dancing to the progressive media’s narrative tune.  What are we tapping our toes to this time?  We’re supposed to believe the best states in 2017 are based on a metric heavily weighted in healthcare and education.

Whatever you do, don’t base your results on migratory stats such as United Van Line’s annual report, which is a tangible indication of people voting with their feet.  No, we have to suspend all rational thought by believing Massachusetts is the nation’s utopian destination.

But let’s play along.  Here is the metric consideration for healthcare.  See if you notice what is not being said:

Health care access is worth one-third of the weight in ranking the Best States for health care. Six metrics contributed to the rankings: child wellness visits, health insurance enrollment, adult wellness visits, adult dental visits, child dental visits and health care affordability. While many Americans have access to quality health care, others face barriers, such as lack of insurance, that prevent them from receiving basic health services. The lack of access to quality health care increases the financial and public health burden on state residents as individuals and as a population.

The Best State for health care access is Massachusetts, which also ranks second for health care and is the No. 1 overall state. Hawaii, the No. 1 state for the healthcare category, places second in the health care access subcategory. Four other New England states also make the top 10: Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. The worst state for health care access, Alaska, ranks first for healthcare quality. Six of the bottom-10 states for health care access are in the Southeast or Southwest: Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Alabama.

This report is actually an indictment against states that didn’t expand Medicaid and are vociferous critics of Obamacare.  Massachusetts has unashamedly expanded its welfare programs and therefore has been designated the number one slot in this dubious report.

Another category that weighs heavily in utopian ideology is education, especially pre-K thru 12th grade.  Here is an excerpt on the importance of early education:

The early start that children gain from pre-K education also is a factor. With nearly a quarter of children enrolled in preschool nationally, the Best States ranking shows New Jersey with the greatest, almost one-third. The metrics involved in the education ranking also reveal disparities in educational achievement between boys and girls and whites and Asians and and minorities – and among states, with No. 1-ranked Massachusetts attaining the highest scores in national math testing for eighth graders.

What’s amazing is that this very report concedes there is no advantage to pre-K education:

The standards for measuring the quality of any state’s pre-K programs are extensive. They include measures of the numbers of teachers with bachelor’s degrees of specialized training in pre-K education, class sizes of 20 students or smaller and teacher-student ratios of 1 to 10 or better, supplemental services such as health and vision care and meals provided. The states were graded on a range of 1 to 10 on all these measures by the National Institute for Early Education Research. Notably, only one of the top-10 states in education ranked among the top 10 in this metric – seventh-ranked Washington. No. 21 North Carolina scored highest in this measure. Southeastern states had the highest grades, 8.3 on average, the Southwest lowest, at. 5.8.

So, North Carolina has invested all this money in pre-K education and ranks a dismal #21 while states that have little investment in same programs are doing better.  I wrote about this years ago.  This pre-K program is nothing more than a glorified, taxpayer subsidized day care centers.  What a scam.

Talking about scams, we have to take into consideration the two categories that the citizens of this country are worried most about and that is healthcare and education.  What do they have in common?  Could it be the Obama administration’s hostile takeover?  Healthcare cost have skyrocketed since the Affordable Care Act.  The cost of a college education has become a millstone around a graduate’s neck.  Even the U.S. News, the very paper that published this report, recognized the federal government’s role in the hyperinflation of a college education.  Here is an excerpt from an op-ed published in November 2011:

It all goes back to two well-intentioned federal goals: first, that a college education should be within the reach of every American, and second, that if students borrow money from the federal government, they should repay it. Most of us would agree that both are noble goals. But the consequences of both have been stunning.

As a result of the first, the money began to flow; over the last 30 years, inflation-adjusted federal financial aid has quadrupled. Total student debt has now reached the $1 trillion mark, more than the credit card debt of every American combined. The federal deficit in the recently ended fiscal year totaled $1.3 trillion; the debt load carried by college grads now stands at more than two thirds of our nation's massive budget shortfall. According to the College Board, over half of all full-time undergrads at public colleges and universities are now full-time borrowers. At private nonprofit schools, a whopping two thirds have loans.

The more money the federal government pumps into financial aid, the more money the colleges charge for tuition. Inflation-adjusted tuition and fees have tripled over those same 30 years while aid quadrupled; the aid is going up faster than the tuition. Thanks to the federal government, massive sums of money are available to pay for massive tuitions.

So there you have it, the federal government caused all these concerns and problems and a state with the moniker, “taxachusetts” is lauded as an American utopia.  Is it any wonder the media has lost credibility?

DNC Features Sen. John "Spoons" Kerry

The Democratic Party is trotting out all the luminaries. Wednesday night they fawned over the only president ever convicted of perjury, who then boldly asked the American people to trust Barack Obama. Tonight Sen. John “Spoons” Kerry is featured in prime time.

For those of you, who are not familiar with Senator Spoons’ corruption, I refer you to a book written by Peter Schweizer entitled, “Throw Them All Out.” Almost a whole chapter is dedicated to Senator John F. Kerry’s insider trading and abuse of office.

I don’t understand how the commonwealth of Massachusetts can tolerate this kind of corruption from one of its senators. But it seems they have a history of it. During the time of Reconstruction, one of their congressmen had a reputation for being a grafter. Benjamin Butler was a civil war general who governed the occupation of New Orleans. That’s where he received his moniker “Spoons” for allegedly stealing silverware from the house he used as a headquarters. Later, he served in the House of Representatives. His exploitation of that office was exceptionably notable in the “Age of Good Stealings.” And what did Massachusetts do with this notorious thief? They made him governor!

You have a lot to be proud of Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Warren's Let's Be Like China Ad

Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate wants us to be more like China. After all, they’re the paragon of economic stimulus programs:

"We've got bridges and roads in need of repair and thousands of people in need of work. Why aren’t we rebuilding America?” Warren says in the 30-second ad. “Our competitors are putting people to work, building a future. China invests 9 percent of its GDP in infrastructure. America? We’re at just 2.4 percent. We can do better. We can build a foundation for a strong new economy and get people to Massachusetts to work right now."

Careful what you wish for Ms. Warren. You might just get it:

A nearly 330-foot-long section of a ramp of the eight-lane Yangmingtan Bridge in the city of Harbin dropped 100 feet to the ground. Four trucks plummeted with it, resulting in three deaths and five injuries.

The 9.6-mile bridge is one of three built over the Songhua River in that area in the past four years. China’s economic stimulus program in 2009 and 2010 helped the country avoid most of the effects of the global economic downturn, but involved incurring heavy debt to pay for the rapid construction of new bridges, highways and
high-speed rail lines all over the country.

Questions about the materials used during the construction and whether the projects were properly engineered have been the subject of national debate ever since a high-speed train plowed into the back of a stopped train on the same track on July 23 last year in the eastern city of Wenzhou. The crash killed 40 people and injured 191; a subsequent investigation blamed in particular
flaws in the design of the signaling equipment.

I believe we should roll that China train down to crawl, Ms. Warren.

Massachusetts Muslim Arrested for Planned Attack on Capitol

The FBI arrested another member of the religion of peace. A Massachusetts Muslim actively planned and procured lethal weapons in order to make an attack on our nation’s capitol:

A 26-year-old Massachusetts man was arrested Wednesday and accused of plotting to blow up the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol using large remote-controlled aircraft laden with explosives, as well as attempting to assist Al Qaeda in attacking U.S. troops overseas.

Rezwan Ferdaus of Ashland, Mass., was arrested Wednesday in Framingham after undercover FBI agents delivered weapons Ferdaus allegedly sought for the alleged plan. The stash included what he thought was 25 pounds of C-4 explosives, as well as three grenades and six fully-automatic AK-47 assault, a press release from the Department of Justice reads.

All reports state that Rezqan Ferdaus is an American citizen. But was he born here? Did he become a naturalized citizen? Are we importing terrorist into our country? Of course our politically correct press didn’t provide that information. And our Justice Department is just as apologetic as the mainstream media:

"I want the public to understand that Mr. Ferdaus' conduct, as alleged in the complaint, is not reflective of a particular culture, community or religion," said Carmen Ortiz, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. "In addition to protecting our citizens from the threats and violence alleged today, we also have an obligation to protect members of every community, race and religion against violence and other unlawful conduct."

It’s not a reflection on a particular culture, community or religion? The hell it isn’t! At what point and time do we realize that Islam is a scourge of the earth? Probably not until they succeed in another attack. And then we will still have a bunch of morons making asinine statements like U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz.

Lady Elizabeth Warren Uses Class Warfare to Anger Peasantry

It looks like another northeastern libtard is using class warfare to obtain a position of power and wealth. Elizabeth Warren covets Scott Brown’s Massachusetts senate seat. And she will pander to the base emotions of the vulnerable and needy to get it.

In the above video, Elizabeth Warren chastises the entrepreneurs who build factories and create jobs. She believes that these greedy bastards exploit the resources such as roads and bridges that the yokels helped to build with their taxes. But the one ingredient that Lady Warren omitted is that the “peasants” wouldn’t be able to fund their community’s infrastructure without the jobs that these so-called vultures provide. And now, with the progressive income tax, many of these “victimized” workers no longer help to pay those roads and bridges that these evil, robber barons exploit.

The country is sick and tired of these class warriors. I’m hoping the same is with Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Imposes Price Controls on Insurance Companies

Massachusetts state regulators have instituted price controls on health insurance, by blocking proposed rate increases by carriers. The insurers are currently waiting for an injunction from the court. They state that caps are justified only if health care providers are to receive the same treatment; as of now, no one looking for a new policy can buy or get a quote.

“We’re in limbo until the issue gets resolved,’’ said Lora Pellegrini, president of the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, a trade group representing most of the state’s insurance companies. “There are no approved rates in the market right now. You’re seeing the first sign of the kind of market chaos we were worried about.’’

This being an election year, Governor Deval Patrick is using the proposed rate increases as a wedge issue against his republican opponent Charles Barker. Barker is a former president of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

Insurance Commissioner Joseph Murphy rejected 235 of 274 rate increases by the industry. Harvard Pilgrim had 25 out of 26 that met the same fate.

Barack Obama and his fellow democrats used Massachusetts as the premier model for the nation. The way it looks, if Deval Patrick and his cronies get their way, private insurance companies will be driven out of the state; and with Obamacare coming down the pike we could witness the extinction of the industry as a whole.

People bemoan the “injustice” of insurance companies. It is state and federal regulations that are driving up the cost. But for some reason people look upon these politicians and bureaucrats as our saviors, when in fact they are the ones who are putting the yoke around our necks

Earthquake in Massachusetts

I believe the earth shook when Massachusetts voted Scott Brown as its next senator. Already the Dem's are making excuses for their parties loss.

Martha Coakley made many gaffs during her campaign; especially the one where she stated that the famed Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling was a Yankee fan. It is hard to believe that she could have made such a bone headed mistake as that. I have met my share of people from Mass. and everyone of them were die hard Boston Red Sox fans. I might add they were all democrats as well.

Now we can look toward to the fall out. The so-called news agencies such an MSNBC will sick their dogs on Scott Brown and those who voted him into office:

When the republican revolution happened in 1994, the media called the electorate a bunch of cry babies throwing a temper tantrum as demonstrated by Peter Jennings of ABC News. It was the angry white man throwing his ass.

Now today's media, same as the old media, are now calling those who are protesting the outrageous amount of spending and government takeovers as a bunch of "tea baggers". I guess this is some sexual term that the deviants in the democratic party are aware of; unlike the majority of Americans.

It seems Chris Matthews of MNBC has a clue; as demonstrated with this interview with Howard Dean:

Will the democrats finally understand why they lost a senate seat in the bluest of the blue states? I doubt it.
