2019 Illegal Alien Invasion Exceeds D-Day

On June 6, 1944 Allied forces consisting of American, British and Canadian soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in what was named Operation Overlord. The initial invasion force numbered 156,000 along a 50 mile fortified coast. This deployment was the largest seaborne invasion in history. But it doesn’t compare to the third-world invasion that is happening on America’s southern border.

In February alone, the shortest month of the year, our border patrol encountered 76,000 illegal aliens trying to sneak into our country. If you include January’s numbers and those not caught, this third-world invasion exceeds the total number of soldiers who invaded Normandy on D-Day.

Last year’s numbers alone, are eye-popping. U.S. Border Patrol apprehended 396,000 foreign invaders, and those are ones we know about. Now compare that to the 2 million U.S. soldiers who participated in the European theater during WWII. This illegal alien invasion is less than 5 times that number. We must keep in mind that it was only 11 months from D-Day to VE-Day.

President Trump is right to call this a national emergency. This is an invasion.

Refugees Seek Asylum for a Higher Class of Poverty

You can barely go anywhere in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina without running into an illegal alien. There are times when you go into a store, a restaurant or a jobsite and all you hear is Spanish. Hadn’t I known better, I would assume I was transported into a third-world hellhole, or at least California. It is an amazing thing to behold.

We are told illegal aliens are looking for a better life. They need asylum from wartorn countries, or gangs, but basically what they’re searching for is a higher class of poverty.

We’ve already established that immigrants whether legal or illegal are prone to sponge off of the welfare system. American citizens are told to look beyond their leeching proclivities and welcome these refugees. I’m here to say that these Latin American countries are in a constant state of strife. For example, PBS published a timeline of Guatemala’s civil war. This has been going on since the Korean War. Actually, it’s probably been going on longer than that. Mind you, this was published in 2011:

Timeline of some key events:

1954 – The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency backed a coup commanded by Colonel Carlos Castillo Armas against the democratically-elected president, Jacobo Arbenz. He was considered a communist threat, especially after legalizing the communist party and moving to nationalize the plantations of the United Fruit Company.

Following the coup, Castillo was declared president, and set about reversing land reforms that benefited poor farmers. He also removed voting rights for illiterate Guatemalans.

1960– Guatemala’s 36-year civil war began as left-wing guerilla groups started battling government military forces. The country was now under autocratic rule by Gen. Miguel Ydigoras Fuentes, who assumed power in 1958 following the murder of Col. Castillo Armas.

The long conflict was marked by abductions and violence, including mutilations and public dumping of bodies.

1966 – Civilian rule was restored to Guatemala and Cesar Mendez was elected president, but the civil war only intensified with a major counterinsurgency campaign by the army.

1970 – Military-backed Carlos Arana was elected president, and he immediately placed the country under a state of siege, giving the military more control over civilians. For the next decade, a series of military-dominated governments escalated violence against guerilla groups and indigenous communities.

1981– The Inter-American Human Rights Commission released a report blaming the Guatemalan government for thousands of illegal executions and missing persons in the 1970s, and documenting accounts of the slaughter of members of Indian communities.

1982 – General Efrain Rios Montt seized power following a military coup. He annulled the 1965 constitution, dissolved Congress and suspended political parties.

Montt formed local civilian defense patrols alongside the military in the country and rural indigenous regions, through which he was able to reclaim most guerrilla territory.

This crackdown against the newly-united coalition, the Guatemalan Revolutionary National Unity, marks one of the most violent periods of the civil war during which a large number of indigenous civilians killed.

1985 – A new constitution was drafted and democratic elections for president resumed two years after Montt was ousted in another coup.

1993 – Then-President Jorge Serrano illegally dissolved Congress and the Supreme Court and restricted civil rights, but was later forced to resign.

1994 – Under President Ramiro De Leon Carpio, the former human rights ombudsman, peace talks between the government and rebels of the Guatemalan Revolutionary National Unity began and agreements were signed on several issues including human rights.

1996 –A new president, Alvaro Arzu, was chosen in a runoff election. Under Arzu peace negotiations were finalized. Peace accords ending the 36-year internal conflict were signed in December of 1996.

Today Guatemala is led by President Álvaro Colom of the National Unity for Hope. Almost 15 years after the end of the civil war, violence and intimidation continue to be a major problem in political and civilian life. Organized crime groups operate with relative impunity, an issue that appears likely to factor prominently in the country’s next presidential election later this year.

All of these Latin American countries are basically the same. They all have a history of political strife, civil wars and poverty. Here is what Alexis de Tocqueville wrote about Mexico in the 1830's:

The Constitution of the United States is akin to those fine creations of human endeavor which crown their inventors with renown and wealth but remain sterile in other hands.

Contemporary Mexico has illustrated this very thing.

The Mexicans, aiming for a federal system, took the federal constitution of their neighbors, the Anglo-Americans, as their model and copied it almost exactly. But although they transported the letter of the law, they failed to transfer at the same time the spirit which gave it life. As a result, they became tangled endlessly in the machinery of their double system of government. The sovereignty of states and Union entered into a collision course as they exceeded the sphere of influence assigned to them by the constitution. Even today Mexico veers constantly from anarchy to military despotism and back again.

We cannot absorb generations of Latin American refugees. There will come a time when we become just as dysfunctional as they. And what will the world do without the United States? Who will absorb American refugees looking for asylum from Latin American induced poverty, strife and civil war?

Americans Need Nation-Wide Libtard Control

The ghouls just couldn’t wait.  The usual suspects wasted no time dancing around the dead in Las Vegas while singing their hymnals of gun control.  The priests and priestesses from the High Church of Libtard would have us believe guns are responsible for committing mass murder.  Their bumper sticker gospel may seduce the weak and stupid, however, we need to expose their religion.

I have a question.  What do all these mass murderers have in common besides shooting innocent people?  I’ll tell you.  Everyone of them are godless and evil.  They are nihilist who believe in nothing.  Had they respect for themselves and their fellow man, these atrocities wouldn’t have happened.

These kinds of mass murders hardly ever happened prior to the 90’s.  I can think of the Texas tower shooting in 1966 and that is it.  Prior to that, I can’t think of one.  This kind of evil is unique to our time.

Progressives say they want a conversation about the source of these atrocities.  Believe me, they want no part of that.  The simple fact is they’re afraid we might expose them as the source for all this evil and outright absurdity.  They’re afraid Americans will begin to wonder how we as people have forsaken our history and culture as a Christian nation.  If we truly were to have a conversation about the source for all this evil, the American people would demand nation-wide libtard control.

We need to emphasize the fact that progressives have successfully transformed our country into a godless hellhole.  They have taken Christ out of our schools and the public square.  They accomplished this by bastardizing our history, language and the Constitution itself.  Recently, Chuck Todd from Meet the Press, stated Judge Roy Moore doesn’t have a fundamental understanding of the First Amendment because he believes our rights come from God and not the federal government.  Chuck Todd is the one who doesn’t have a basic understanding of our Constitution.

Anyone who studies American history cannot detach the moorings of the Christian faith from its people. Progressives may have anesthetized a couple of generations from our birthright, but they cannot erase our past; it is there for the truth seeker.  For example, in 1890, a conference was held on the question of freedmen.  Judge Albion W. Tourgee, a radical Republican and ardent abolitionist, believed the United States was a Christian nation.  Here is what he had to say about the issues of his day:

God keeps account between nations and peoples as well as between man and man.  History is but a record of his judgement upon them.  The Negro is not only “here to stay,” but is here to offer the American Christian republic a chance to atone by justice in the future for the sin of the past, and thereby, escape the wrath of that God to whom a thousand years are but a day.  It is all very well to look to the future; but he who tries to separate it, from the past is as foolish as one who seeks to run away from his own shadow.  Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow are an eternal repetend.

And this from the same conference:

I trust I may be pardoned in advance if, in my remark, my religion and my politics should become not merely “mixed,” as Dr. [Lyman] Abbott feared that his might, but even if it should appear that my religion is mostly politics; for I trust it will also become apparent that my “politics” is not altogether at odds with what we term “religion.”  I confess I have never been able to distinguish between them.  Without religion, politics is simply a hot-bed of iniquity, the stamping-ground of devilish impulse; and, without politics, religion is as dead as “faith without works.”  When Christianity quits the field of political relation or politics discards the tenets of Christian philosophy, I have little use for either.

Progressives could use more Christian philosophy.  It’s disturbing when they refuse to show sympathy for those who were slain by a godless maniac.

Progressive Tyranny Causes Another Great Awakening

A great awakening is happening.  Americans, who believe in our Constitution and a republican form of government, have come to the realization that our birthright has been stolen from us by generations of progressive revolutionaries hell bent on transforming this country into a socialist hellhole, or worse.

Most of us get up and go to work in order to provide for oneself and family. Few think about the machinations of a political and educational class conspiring against our liberties and federalist system.  For me, that ignorance ended with Washington D.C.’s hostile takeover of our healthcare system.  Who would’ve thought that bureaucrats in a distant capitol could have the power to force an American citizen to buy a product that doesn’t pertain to his wants or needs.  Worse, you can only buy that product within a designated time period.  That is about as un-American as you can get.

Ever since this hostile takeover, I’ve been on a mission to educate myself about progressives and the origins of this anti-American movement.  Mark Levin’s latest book, Rediscovering Americanism and the Tyranny of Progressives provides scholarship on the origins of this subversive ideology.  He’ll introduce you to the masterminds, philosopher kings and the politicians that renounced our founding principles for an administrative state whose sole mission is to obtain power and rule over us all.

It has come to the point that when I watch a documentary, I pay close attention to government policies of that period and its consequences.  The Smithsonian Channel produced a film about the Forbidden City.  The emperor who built his “heaven on earth” conscripted farmers throughout the kingdom and raised punitive taxes.  This had serious consequences.  A famine broke out and millions starved to death.

This same emperor only employed eunuchs to govern his kingdom.  These positions were highly sought after, and as you can expect,  the peasantry castrated their sons and sent them off to the Forbidden City in the hope he would obtain a position that would help the family survive their emperor’s cruel economic policies.  However, the unintended consequences produced an army of child eunuchs camped out in the front gates.

Does anyone remember news stories about millennials wanting employment with the federal government instead of the private sector?  The federal government has been on a mission to castrate private industry.  Soon we’ll have a generation of economic eunuchs seeking employment with the federal government.  Can anyone say, Venezuela?

I recently watched Ken Burn’s documentary on Prohibition.  Again, that was an eye opener.  The Anti-Saloon league and their fellow travelers in the temperance movement took over local school boards.  They produced textbooks that outright lied about alcohol and how it affected the body.  They stated one drink could destroy the lining of both esophagus and stomach.  These teetotalers were absolutely shameless in their indoctrination.  However, their efforts brought about the disastrous 18th Amendment.  It kind of reminds me of the man-made global warming fanatics that have taken over our modern day educational system.  To a progressive, no lie is too outrageous to advance an agenda.

These same teetotalers also had a complete disregard for the U.S. Constitution when it came to their issue.  After every census, congressional districts are reapportioned.  Progressives refused to comply because they would’ve lost political power to urban Americans who didn’t believe in Prohibition.  This is the only time in American history when congressional reapportionment didn’t take place.

I’ve always been somewhat of a history buff.  I can honestly say that I enjoy reading about great historical figures and events in world history, but I somewhat resent my scholarly pursuit of progressives and the era that has spawned today’s America.  I resent it, because I’m forced to confront a transformation of my country and what it means to be an American.  I am awake!

The United States is NOT a Nation of Immigrants

I am sick of hearing this nonsensical bumper sticker crap, “America is a nation of immigrants.”  I am not an immigrant and neither are the vast majority of the citizens who populate this country.  I doubt 75% of the populace can name an ancestor who immigrated to the United States because they are so far removed.

The rebuttal I normally get is the only people who are not immigrants on the North American continent are native Indians.  Oh, really?  Weren’t we taught their ancestors crossed a land bridge from Siberia back in the Ice Age?  Actually, scientists can back up this claim with DNA test.

The simple fact is world history is replete with constant migrations and most of it unwelcome.  Let’s take Spain as an example, in 237 BC the Carthaginians invaded (or should we say migrated) the Iberian Peninsula.  Then came the Romans and after them the Visigoths and then the Moors.  And I’m sure the vanquished welcomed these conquering "immigrants" with open arms.

A nation consists of a people who have a common culture, language, history and governing principles.  They forge a social compact and those who wish to join must legally ask for permission and then adopt and assimilate to those guiding principles.  We call this citizenship; a nation cannot exist without it.

Mexico Prepared to Defend Border Against U.S. Deportations

Mexican officials have declared they will defend their northern border from U.S. mass deportations which include their own citizens.  They state a nation has a right to defend itself against foreign invaders.  Here is an excerpt from Zero Hedge:

Quoted by the WSJ, Mexico’s Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said at a ceremony on Wednesday “I want to make it emphatically clear that neither Mexico’s government or the Mexican people have any reason to accept provisions that have been unilaterally imposed by one government on the other.” He added that “we won’t accept it because we don’t have to,” he added, in reference to U.S. plans to return illegal migrants to Mexico, regardless of their nationality.

"We also have control of our borders and we will exercise it fully," he said, adding that Mexico was prepared to go the United Nations to defend the freedoms and rights of Mexicans under international law.

Apparently, those same freedoms and rights don’t apply to the United States.  Didn’t Mexico aid and abet this mass migration from the third-world into Gringoland?  Didn’t all these illegal aliens come through their country?  Isn’t it poetic justice that this mass of humanity should go back the same way they came?  Apparently, not.

As Reuters adds, Mexico reacted with anger on Wednesday to what one official called "hostile" new U.S. immigration guidelines hours before senior Trump administration envoys began arriving in Mexico City for talks on the volatile issue. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security unveiled plans on Tuesday to consider almost all illegal immigrants subject to deportation, and will seek to send many of them to Mexico if they entered the United States from there, regardless of nationality.

Roberto Campa, who heads the human rights department of the Interior Ministry, said the plan to deport non-Mexicans to Mexico was "hostile" and "unacceptable." Senators for the leading leftist opposition party, the Party of the Democratic Revolution, said Tillerson and Kelly were not welcome in the country and they urged Pena Nieto not to meet with them.

Hostile and unacceptable?  That’s exactly how Americans feel.  Geez, for some reason I don’t feel sorry for these corrupt scumbags.

Americans Seek Safe Haven from Second Generation Muslims

Liberals are completely disconnected from reality.  They just don’t seem to comprehend basic truths.  Failed social experiments such as Venezuela don’t faze them.  Violent protesters waving Mexican flags at political rallies don’t give them pause when it comes to porous borders.  And according to our so-called president, Islamic mass murderers are victims of an American gun culture.  It really is unbelievable.

Last week the Charlotte Observer published an editorial praising the Obama administrations illegal dumping of Syrian refugees in our backyard.  As usual, we get the sob stories of how these Muslim families have been persecuted by their fellow Muslims and that these poor innocents are just seeking safety.  Well, what about our safety?

The Orlando mass murderer was a product of Afghan refugees.  The San Bernardino killer was the son of Pakistani immigrants as were a host of other Islamic killers that have spilled innocent American blood.  But somehow that doesn’t seem to register with liberals.

The Obama administration is importing hundreds of thousands of Islamists into the United States.  Here is an excerpt from Breitbart.com:

Between FY 2013 and FY 2014, the number of green cards issued to migrants from Muslim-majority countries increased dramatically – from 117,423 in FY 2013, to 148,810 in FY 2014, a nearly 27 percent increase. Throughout the Obama Administration’s tenure, the United States has issued green cards to an average of 138,669 migrants from Muslim-majority countries per year, meaning that it is nearly certain the United States will have issued green cards to at least 1.1 million migrants from Muslim-majority countries on the President’s watch. It has also been reported that migration from Muslim-majority countries represents the fastest growing class of migrants.

Most Islamic killers are second generation men with an identity crisis.  Who’s going to protect Americans from a people who have nothing but contempt for our culture and way of life?  Where is our safe haven?

The Progressive Myth of European Socialism

I had a memorable conversation with a millennial on the economy and politics in general.  He basically declared the United States was a hellhole and he was stuck living here.  I was somewhat taken aback considering his mother is a legal immigrant from Jamaica.  So I commented there isn’t a utopia and pointed out all of the illegal aliens that were working in the subdivision.  These people, I emphasized, violated our laws and sovereignty to have a better life; yet, you’re unhappy in a country that millions risk life and limb to get to.  I then asked him, what country would he consider moving to?  He declared, Spain.

I’ve had many conversations with pie-in-the-sky socialists, many of them way older than this kid.  When I ask this same question, I’ll get the usual sarcastic response, ‘America, love it or leave it.’  At least this kid gave me an answer.  So, I informed him that Spain has a 20% unemployment rate and they have two separatist movements.  He then walked away.

I don’t know how many times I’ve heard teat squawkers glorify European socialism.  Even our own president wants to emulate them.  To that I say, we are Americans not Europeans.  If you want to be a European get on the next boat and don’t let the waves lap your ass.

This whole European socialist paradise is a myth.  If you take the median income of each country and couple that with purchasing power, few European countries would rank above Mississippi, the state all liberals look down their noses at.  Here is an excerpt from Mises:

With the exception of Luxembourg ($38,502), Norway ($35,528), and Switzerland ($35,083), all countries shown would fail to rank as high-income states were they to become part of the United States. In fact, most would fare worse than Mississippi, the poorest state.

For example, Mississippi has a higher median income ($23,017) than 18 countries measured here. The Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom all have median income levels below $23,000 and are thus below every single US state. Not surprisingly, the poorest OECD members (Chile, Mexico, and Turkey) have median incomes far below Mississippi.

Germany, Europe's economic powerhouse, has a median income ($25,528) level below all but 9 US states. Finland ranks with Germany in this regard ($25,730), and France's median income ($24,233) is lower than both Germany and Finland. Denmark fares better and has a median income ($27,304) below all but 13 US state.

And that doesn’t take into account Mississippi’s low cost of living.  But we all know facts and figures don’t make a difference to liberals.  They’ll keep pining for a socialist paradise that doesn’t exist and never will.

United Nations Demand U.S. Pay Slavery Reparations

Barack Obama has led the American people down a treacherous path.  This so-called president has shown nothing but contempt for the American people, the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States.  Others have taken notice.  Foreign organizations have been handed the baton and are running with wild accusations and demands that are outright preposterous.  The latest absurdity comes from the United Nations.  This corrupt pseudo-government body has embarked on a “fact finding” mission and has concluded the following:

American citizens must pay reparations for slavery past and present.  According to these geniuses, mass incarcerations of blacks for drug offenses are a form of slavery.  Of course, the rule of law and moral authority means nothing to a body that consists of murderers, Islamist and dictators.

“The devastating impact of the ‘war on drugs’ has led to mass incarceration and is compared to enslavement, due to exploitation and dehumanization of African Americans,” they declared

These interlopers also want to dictate what we teach in our classrooms.

The three – French law professor Mireille Fanon Mendes-France, Filipino human rights lawyer Ricardo Sunga and South African legal scholar Sabelo Gumedze – called for a greater emphasis in school curricula on the history of colonization and the transatlantic slave trade.

They also recommended that “monuments, memorials and markers” highlighting the slavery issue be erected, and for federal and state legislation “recognizing the experience of enslavement” to be passed.

The three stooges will present their recommendations to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

“The colonial history, the legacy of enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism, and racial inequality in the U.S. remains a serious challenge as there has been no real commitment to reparations and to truth and reconciliation for people of African descent,” it said.

The American Civil War ended slavery over 150 years ago.  No one alive today in the United States has experienced slavery, however, that can't be said in other parts of the world.  Here is more from these three fools.

“Despite substantial changes since the end of the enforcement of Jim Crow and the fight for civil rights, ideology ensuring the domination of one group over another, continues to negatively impact the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of African Americans today.

“The dangerous ideology of white supremacy inhibits social cohesion amongst the U.S. population.”

What are they talking about?  We don't have white supremacy!  If anything, we have white guilt!  There are students publicly defacing themselves on college campuses.  This is an absurd statement.

These three "experts" applauded the Affordable Care Act and condemned voter ID along with stand your ground legislation.  Doesn’t that sound like Barack Obama and the Democratic Party’s agenda?  May I ask, why are we still members of this corrupt organization?

Europe Has Higher Rate of Mass Shootings Than U.S.

The president, his fellow democrats and their stooges in the media harp the false narrative that the United States is the most violent nation in the industrialized world, and it’s high time the American people rethink the value of their 2nd Amendment rights.

“But we are the only advanced country on Earth that sees this kind of mass violence erupt with this kind of frequency. It doesn’t happen in other advanced countries. It’s not even close. And as I’ve said before, somehow we’ve become numb to it and we start thinking that this is normal.” – Barack Hussein Obama.

This assertion is an outright lie.  The Crime Prevention Research Center published a study that completely contradicts President Obama’s assault on our God given rights.  Here is an excerpt:

This claim is simply not true.  Between January 2009 and December 2015, there are 11 European countries with a higher frequency of these mass public shootings than the US, and 10 European countries with a higher rate of deaths from these attacks.

Indeed, over that same period of time, the European Union (EU) suffered 303 deaths from mass public shootings, while the US had 199.  In terms of injuries from these attacks the gap was even much greater, with EU countries facing 680 versus just 197 for the US.  However, given the EU’s larger population, the per million people fatality rate for the US and the EU as a whole are virtually identical (0.62 for the US and 0.60 for the EU).  By contrast, the injury rate in the EU is much higher (0.61 for the US and 1.34 for the EU).

I wonder how many of these crimes are related to the religion of peace.  I’m sure there is a correlation.

Have Progressive Historians Bastardized the American Civil War?

When the U.S. Constitution was going through the ratification process, concerned citizens debated the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed federalist system.  Advocates for a strong central government were deemed federalist, detractors were called anti-federalists when in fact it was just the opposite.  The power of branding and distortion of words was as important back then as it is today.  Laws and history aren’t immune.

The pseudonymous writer Brutus was considered an “anti-federalist.”  He warned fellow citizens of unscrupulous judges who would distort laws by the use of precedent.  Here is a quote:

Perhaps nothing could have been better conceived to facilitate the abolition of the state governments than the constitution of the judicial. They will be able to extend the limits of the general government gradually, and by insensible degrees, and to accommodate themselves to the temper of the people. Their decisions on the meaning of the constitution will commonly take place in cases which arise between individuals, with which the public will not be generally acquainted; one adjudication will form a precedent to the next, and this to a following one. These cases will immediately affect individuals only; so that a series of determinations will probably take place before even the people will be informed of them. In the mean time all the art and address of those who wish for the change will be employed to make converts to their opinion.

That’s prescient.  We’ve witnessed this first hand with the 14th Amendment.  We’ve watched Supreme Court justices bastardize a law, that was meant to protect ex-slaves and their progeny while at the same time punish southerners who tried to protect their homeland from Yankee invaders, into a tool for gay rights, forcing local communities to educate illegal alien children and banishing Christianity from schools.  If Brutus were alive today, he’d have a huge “I told you so.”

After reading Empire of Cotton by Sven Beckert, I began to wonder about the American Civil War and the propensity progressives have for distorting history.  Americans have been indoctrinated into thinking this war was all about slavery and the preservation of the Union.  We know that a majority of northerners wouldn’t have fought to free the slaves.   The New York City riots were a testament to that.  The real reasons should be more obvious: money and power.

We can start with the Tariff of Abominations that passed in 1828.  The intent was to protect northern industrial interest at Southerners expense by imposing outrageous duties on British imports, mainly textiles.  The South almost seceded from the Union which forced a compromise in 1832.

By 1860, the South was responsible for 3/5ths of all U.S. exports and ¾’s of the world’s cotton crop.  Raw Cotton alone constituted 61% of the value of all U.S. exports.  Indeed, the supply of raw cotton to European and U.S. manufactures had “become a question of life or death for tens of thousands of workers, a question of prosperity or misery for all the developed industrial countries.”  This led to one planter to brag:

“Our Cotton is the most wonderful talisman in the world. By its power we are transmuting whatever we choose into whatever we want.” James Hammond, speaking in the U.S. Senate five years later, was even more trenchant: “The slaveholding South is now the controlling power of the world. Cotton, rice, tobacco, and naval stores command the world.... No -power on earth dares . . . to make war on cotton. Cotton is king.”

The northeastern United States was heavily dependent on Southern cotton.  By the time of the Civil War 41% of the American labor force worked outside of agriculture.  Massachusetts had only 13.8% working on farms due to industrialization.  As you can see, Southern secession could have caused a huge cotton shortage and a possible loss of a market for northern finished goods, not to mention a substantial loss of revenue for the U.S. treasury.  Compound that with punitive duties to pay off Confederate war debt, the Northern government would have lost a substantial amount of wealth had the South succeeded in its endeavor for independence.

So we must ask ourselves, did the North invade the South for Union and altruism, or did they come to conquer for pure greed, power and self-interest?

We must keep in mind judges use precedent to advance progressive policies and historians source their fellow travelers to advance a leftist ideology.  And the distorted world turns around and around.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu Shames U.N.

Israel is alone.  Barack Obama, our president, has turned his back on our ally.  Prime Minister Netanyahu has every right to shame the U.N. and its league of anti-Semites for their part in enabling Iran in their quest for a nuclear weapon.  Unfortunately, America’s representatives didn’t bother to attend his speech.

Pope Francis: It's a Third World After All

It’s endless Pope Mania.  The news cycle is dominated by the pontiff’s U.S. visit and I’m already sick of it.  I’m especially irked at being lectured to by a third world Marxist, global warming fanatic who believes the golden rule exempts invasions.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I can tell you most definitely, I would not bust into my neighbors house and then take his job.  Nor would I squat in the middle of his living room and drop an anchor baby then hand him a bill demanding payment for food, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care.  But somehow this pope believes the “immigrant” cause is just and American citizens are a bunch of wasteful, greedy bastards who are contaminating the planet with voracious consumerism.

Why is it always Americas fault?  Why don’t liberals and this pope point fingers at Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and the rest of the third world?  Why doesn’t anyone address the causes of a mass migration from Latin America?

The answer is simple.  The policies that Pope Francis and his liberal buddies lecture us on are the root cause for the economic disaster in Latin America.  If liberals are successful, they could turn the U.S. into a third world hell hole too.

Here are some of the basic principles for a country’s economic success:

  • The rule of law
  •
  • Limited government
  •
  • Cheap dependable energy
  •
  • Property rights
  •
  • Abolishment of punitive taxation and regulations

Alexis de Tocqueville made the following observation:

Tocqueville further observed:

To the south, the Union has one point of contact with the Mexican Empire, where one day serious wars may well develop. But for a long time to come the backward state of civilization, the degeneration of its morals, and its extreme poverty will stand in the way of any hope of achieving high status among nations

Mexico has vast energy resources.  However, their country is corrupt.  The oil industry is state owned.  Graft and bribes are common, if not expected.

Reuters identified more than 100 Pemex contracts signed between 2003 and 2012, worth $11.7 billion, that were cited as having serious problems by the Federal Audit Office of the lower house of the Mexican Congress. The allegations ranged from overcharging for shoddy work to outright fraud. The deals were worth about 8 percent of the $149 billion in Pemex contracts registered in Mexico’s federal contracting database in that period.

Pemex almost always disregards these warnings. From 2008 to 2012, the most recent year of available data, the congressional auditors issued 274 recommendations that Pemex take serious action over contract irregularities – either press criminal charges, discipline employees or claw back money.

The company issued responses to 268 of the cases. In only three of them was action taken. The result: A handful of employees received suspensions. Pemex’s internal control office dismissed 157 of the cases. As of last month, 108 were unresolved.

“In Mexico, no one gets punished,” said Arturo Gonzalez de Aragon, a former head of the Federal Audit Office, known in Mexico by its Spanish acronym, ASF. “If you don’t punish anyone, impunity becomes a perverse incentive for corruption.”

Pope Francis should address the causation of the third world’s poverty instead of importing their problems to America.  The world will not benefit by turning the United States into a third world hellhole.  It maybe a small world, but it needn’t be one replete with poverty and despair.
