The Red Pope Decapitates Head of Knights of Malta

Is the Red Pope catholic?  Conservatives are beginning to wonder if the pontiff is really an imposter.  His holiness has instituted liberal policies that have many scratching their heads and others begging for mercy.   

The Knights of Malta, a sovereign order that dates back to the Crusades, is facing a Templar moment.  Fortunately, their grand master wasn’t burnt at the stake for heresy; however, he was forcibly removed.  Here is an excerpt from the AP:

Francis gave Becciu, the No. 2 in the Vatican secretariat of state, "all necessary powers" to help lay the groundwork for a new constitution for the order, lead the spiritual renewal of its professed knights and prepare for the election of a new grand master, expected in three months.

The Vatican's intervention with the sovereign group had provided fuel for Francis' conservative critics, who until Saturday had largely confined their concern with his mercy-over-morals papacy to blogs, interviews and conferences.

Podesta Schemes to Undermine Catholic Doctrine

I instinctively knew progressives were scumbags, but I had no idea at the level they would stoop.  Wikileaks has revealed John Podesta’s schemes of infiltrating and undermining Catholic doctrine. 

“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church,” Sandy Newman, president and founder of the progressive nonprofit Voices for Progress, writes to Podesta in an email titled “opening for a Catholic Spring? just musing.”

Podesta has organized groups for just that purpose.

In response, Podesta assures Newman to rest easy for he and his progressive pals have already created organizations explicitly designed to infiltrate the Catholic Church with progressive ideology, though he cautions that the time may not be right for full revolution — just yet.

“We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up,” Podesta writes.

Wow.  These people are capable of anything.

Pope Francis: The Vicar of Moral Relativism

What a difference a generation makes.  Thirty years ago, we had world leaders like Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II.  Now, look at what we have: Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Pope Francis.  These people aren’t even a shadow of the titans who brought communism to its knees.  Hell, today’s leaders are the ideological brethren we fought against in the 80’s.

This current crop of world leaders doesn’t believe in a nation state.  They are transnationals with a common ideology, or should we say a common religion which is Leftism.  Dennis Prager articulated this opinion in an article published in National Review.  He denotes their dogma of moral and cultural relativism.  Pope Francis used this flawed logic while explaining his views on a murdered French priest.

Pope Francis made comments last week that reveal the most important single thing you need to know about the modern world: The most dynamic religion of the last hundred years has been leftism. Not Christianity and not Islam. Leftism.

Leftism has taken over the world’s leading educational institutions, the world’s news media, the world’s popular entertainment, and it has influenced Christianity (and Judaism) far more than Christianity (or Judaism) has influenced anything. On July 26, two Muslims slit the throat of a French Roman Catholic priest, Father Jacques Hamel, 86, while he was saying Mass in his church. Five days later, on his plane returning to Rome from World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland, Pope Francis was asked about the French priest and Islam by Antoine Marie Izoarde, a journalist with i.Media, a French Catholic news service:

Catholics are a bit in shock, and not only in France, after the barbarous assassination of Fr. Jacques Hamel — as you know well — in his church while celebrating the Holy Mass. Four days ago you here told us that all religions want peace. But this holy, 86-year-old priest was clearly killed in the name of Islam. So, Holy Father, I have two brief questions: Why do you, when you speak of these violent events, always speak of terrorists, but never of Islam, never use the word Islam? . . . What concrete initiatives can you advise or suggest in order to counteract Islamic violence? Thank you, Holiness.

As reported by the Catholic News Service, this is what Pope Francis responded:

I don’t like to speak of Islamic violence, because every day, when I browse the newspapers, I see violence, here in Italy . . . this one who has murdered his girlfriend, another who has murdered the mother-in-law . . . and these are baptized Catholics! There are violent Catholics! If I speak of Islamic violence, I must speak of Catholic violence.

That kind of logic is what’s killing Western Civilization.  A Catholic may have killed his wife, but I can guarantee you he didn’t do it in the name of Christ.  Jesus didn’t advocate murder.  The Vicar of Christ should be able to make this distinction, but as we’ve stated, Leftism is Pope Francis’ first religion, Catholicism is a distant second or maybe third.

Red Pope Accepts "Commie Cross" from Bolivian President

Pope Francis “The Red” received an unusual gift from Bolivian President Evo Morales that sums up the social, political and economic philosophy of these third world natives: a crucifix carved into a hammer and sickle.

The Red Pope paid homage to fellow Jesuit and Marxist activist, Rev. Luis Espinal, who was slain in 1980.  The “commie crucifix” was designed by this very priest.  Needless to say, the implication of such a gift puts an exclamation point on what everyone thinks about this pope.

The Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Thursday the pope had no idea that Espinal had designed the crucifix and was surprised to receive it — a reaction clearly visible in the footage of the encounter. Some reports suggested the pope told Morales "This isn't good;" one of Francis' friends sent a tweet quoting him as saying such. But Lombardi said it wasn't known what the pope had said.

Lombardi said Espinal had designed the crucifix as a symbol of dialogue and commitment to freedom and progress for Bolivia, not with any specific ideology in mind. Lombardi said he personally wasn't offended by it.

"You can dispute the significance and use of the symbol now, but the origin is from Espinal and the sense of it was about an open dialogue, not about a specific ideology," Lombardi said.

Sure, run with that why you don’t.  The Vatican has done a 180.  Pope John Paul II fought communism and Francis has embraced it.  What a difference a pope makes.

Red Pope's Encyclical Parfait of Social Justice

Pope Francis is earning the moniker, the Red Pope.  The pontiff’s encyclical is a parfait of global warming hysteria, social justice, and anti-capitalist sentiments topped off with faux concerns for the poor.

Capitalism has been a boon for humanity.  The Industrial Revolution ushered in an age of prosperity.  This explosion of innovation is a direct result from profit and property rights.  The unskilled and the poor were provided opportunities other than subsistence farming, which was the predominate means of living prior to the 1800’s.  Here is an excerpt from Economics and Liberty:

The basic outline of world economic history is surprisingly simple. . . . In other words, for most of human history and in most places in the world, almost all people lived very near subsistence.  But, something happened around 1800 in some places, and the masses of people in those places began to break away from subsistence living and to prosper.

This is the Great Fact of history, as Deirdre McCloskey refers to it in Bourgeois Dignity.  This Great Fact seems to be something most people are unaware of, even among the people who are living in those places in the world where most people live far from subsistence.  It is a fact which seems to be missing from the curricula materials in our schools.  It even seems that this missing fact contributes to many people taking our own prospering for granted.  So, I suppose it should be no surprise that many people seem to believe ideas that are inconsistent with the explanation for why, in some parts of the world, the masses of people began to prosper and continue to prosper today.

    

 Pope Francis falls into that category.  He believes rich nations somehow owe a debt to the world’s poor simply because they are more prosperous.  Here is an excerpt from the Guardian:

Pope Francis has called on the world’s rich nations to begin paying their “grave social debt” to the poor and take concrete steps on climate change, saying failure to do so presents an undeniable risk to a “common home” that is beginning to resemble a “pile of filth”.

The pope’s 180-page encyclical on the environment, released on Thursday, is at its core a moral call for action on phasing out the use of fossil fuels.

But it is also a document infused with an activist anger and concern for the poor, casting blame on the indifference of the powerful in the face of certain evidence that humanity is at risk following 200 years of misuse of resources.

Up to now, he says, the world has accepted a “cheerful recklessness” in its approach to the issue, lacking the will to change habits for the good of the Earth.

“Climate change is a global problem with grave implications: environmental, social, economic, political and for the distribution of goods,” the papal statement says. “It represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day.”

The true driver of poverty in the third-world is not indifference; its corrupt governments and a lack of access to electricity.  Businesses need assurances like the rule of law and dependable energy to prosper.  That isn’t going to happen when dictators disguised as social justice warriors are running your country.  Can anyone say Venezuela?

The Red Pope would be a better advocate for the poor by holding up the first-world as an example, instead of trying to tear it down.

Pope Francis Co-Opted by U.N. Global Warming Grafters

Pope Francis is possibly the first pontiff to declare human beings, as a collective, just as powerful as God.  He seems to believe the Earth has a thermostat and the denizens of this planet have their fingers on it.  Since when did Humanism supersede God as part of the Catholic doctrine?

This pope has brought a special brand of Latin American Marxism to the Vatican.  Social justice and anti-capitalist teachings has become the cornerstone of his ministry, and the grafters at the United Nations know they can benefit by co-opting this man of faith.  They need the Church’s complicity in spreading the lie of man-made global warming.  Pope Francis seems to be a willing accomplice.

And based on Francis’ prior comments, and those of influential cardinals, the encyclical is also likely to include an economic critique of how global capitalism, while helping lift millions out of poverty, has also exploited nature and created vast inequities.

“We clearly need a fundamental change of course, to protect the earth and its people — which in turn will allow us to dignify humanity,” Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana, who oversaw the drafting of the encyclical, said at a conference on climate change this spring at the Vatican.

Depriving people of modernity doesn’t dignify humanity.  This pope should’ve learned from the mistakes of the third-world; instead of trying to spread misery and destitution based on a lie that is man-made global warming, now redefined as climate change.

An Endless Parade of Liberal Horribles

It’s astonishing.  I come home from work, kick off my shoes, pop a beer, turn on the news, and watch an endless, liberal parade of horribles march across my television screen.  The aristocratic nature of our central government and the concomitant abuses by a contemptuous bureaucracy should outrage any American; but, to watch the evisceration of our borders and sovereignty is jaw dropping.

Governments and religious organizations, particularly the Catholic Church, are colluding to traffic illegal aliens to and in the United States.  It has been reported presidents of Guatemala and Mexico have made an agreement to grant 72 hour passes to citizens of Central American countries so they can make it to the U.S. border.  

The Obama administration is in on this trafficking scheme.  They advertised to contract their own coyotes back in January, and have asked dioceses to house illegals on the low-down.  The transnationalist in the Obama administration tried to hide their nefarious activities to no avail.

We have come to a tipping point.  We cannot have a mass of humanity invade this country without consequence.  Diasporas are the end result.  These people will not assimilate.  They will not become Americans.  They will join others who resent this country.  They will create a great leveling.  The end result is a third-world status.

When the Huns invaded Europe, they pushed Germanic tribes into the Roman Empire.  The end result was dissolution of Rome and the advent of the Dark Ages.

Obama: I Won't Force Churches to Perform Gay Marriage

Eighteen months ago Barack Obama proclaimed before God and country that he was against same-sex marriage.  And he was elected.  Now, he applauds the Supreme Court decision striking down parts of DOMA.  Adding insult to injury, he asserts that he won’t force religious institutions to conduct gay marriages.  This despite Obamacare’s assault on the Catholic Church and persons of faith.

 Here is the White House’s official statement:

I applaud the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act. This was discrimination enshrined in law. It treated loving, committed gay and lesbian couples as a separate and lesser class of people. The Supreme Court has righted that wrong, and our country is better off for it. We are a people who declared that we are all created equal — and the love we commit to one another must be equal as well.

This ruling is a victory for couples who have long fought for equal treatment under the law; for children whose parents’ marriages will now be recognized, rightly, as legitimate; for families that, at long last, will get the respect and protection they deserve; and for friends and supporters who have wanted nothing more than to see their loved ones treated fairly and have worked hard to persuade their nation to change for the better.

So we welcome today’s decision, and I’ve directed the Attorney General to work with other members of my Cabinet to review all relevant federal statutes to ensure this decision, including its implications for Federal benefits and obligations, is implemented swiftly and smoothly.

On an issue as sensitive as this, knowing that Americans hold a wide range of views based on deeply held beliefs, maintaining our nation’s commitment to religious freedom is also vital.  How religious institutions define and consecrate marriage has always been up to those institutions.  Nothing about this decision – which applies only to civil marriages – changes that.

The laws of our land are catching up to the fundamental truth that millions of Americans hold in our hearts:  when all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love, we are all more free.

Is Saint Malachy's Prophesy Upon Us?

This is a complete surprise.  Pope Benedict XVI resigns.  Here is the prophesy:

Frogleg University: Radicals Have Taken Over America

Frogleg University has a lesson plan that would counter the Marxist radicals who have taken over America: downsize the mainstream media and expand private schools.

The liberal media is already being downsized; however expanding private schools is a harder nut to crack. A friend of mine related an experience he had with a Catholic school. Liberal parents filed an application to enroll their children; however, they didn’t care for the “indoctrination” of Christianity.  They wanted the benefit of a superior education without all that “Christ” stuff.  So, they asked this Catholic school to change their curriculum.

Yeah, that’s what we’re dealing with.

Gay Activist Want Obama Admin. to Declare Catholic Church "A Hate Group"

A gay rights activist posted a petition asking the Obama administration to declare the Catholic Church “a hate group.”  Considering how other Christians are being persecuted by the Department of Justice, they might just have a chance.

Initiated on Christmas Day, a petition on the White House website had collected 1,640 signatures by Jan. 3.

The petition – which is aiming for 25,000 signatures by Jan. 24 – argued that Pope Benedict XVI’s 2012 Christmas address to the College of Cardinals “demeaned and belittled homosexual people around the world.”

“Using hateful language and discriminatory remarks, the Pope painted a portrait in which gay people are second-class global citizens,” it charged.

“Pope Benedict said that gay people starting families are threatening to society, and that gay parents objectify and take away the dignity of children,” the petition said. “The Pope also implied that gay families are sub-human, as they are not dignified in the eyes of God.”

It called for the Obama administration to recognize the Catholic Church as a hate group, as defined by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League.

Gays are “second-class global citizens”?  Maybe these people should petition the United Nations.  I believe they’re asking for justice from the wrong governmental body.

 The thinking of these progressives is astonishing.  You can be sure I’ll never consider myself a “global citizen.”  I’m a North Carolinian first, an American citizen second.  And the United Nations can kiss my ass.

Catholic Charity May Have to Leave U.S. Because of Obamacare

 

Obamacare has become a threat to charitable organizations.  The Little Sisters of the Poor may have to close their operations in the United States because the federal health care law violates the tenets of their religious beliefs.  The Daily Caller reported the following:

“[I]t could be a serious threat to our mission in the U.S.,” Constance told TheDC, “because we would never be able to afford to pay the fines involved. We have difficulty making ends meet just on a regular basis; we have no extra funding that would cover these fines.”

The crux of the matter is a religious exemption that the federal government is expected to make available to Catholic churches, but not to other Catholic institutions.

That’s because unlike Catholic parishes and dioceses, the church’s many affiliated schools, charities, religious orders and hospitals don’t discriminate in their hiring or service, often employing staff — and serving people in need — who come from other Christian denominations or from other faiths entirely.

“We are not exempt from the [Obamacare] mandate because we neither serve nor employ a predominantly Catholic population,” Constance added. ”We hire employees and serve/house the elderly regardless of race and religion, so that makes us ineligible for the exemption being granted churches.”

Those employees, she said, number in the thousands.

The United States will rank amongst other countries like China who’ve kicked the Sisters out.  But the wards of this beneficent organization can take succor knowing that the Democrats have promised a utopia on earth.  They will provide for all your needs.  According to the statist, we have no need for Jesus or private charities.  We have a new Messiah.  His name is Barack Hussein Obama.

U.S. Catholic Bishops Counter Obama Jihad With "Fortnight for Freedom"

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is mobilizing to counter Obama’s jihad on American’s freedom of religion. They’ve proclaimed June 21 – July 4 as a “Fortnight for Freedom.”

The dates were picked to run from the feast day of martyrs St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More to Independence Day. “This special period of prayer, study, catechesis, and public action would emphasize both our Christian and American heritage of liberty,” the bishops said.

“Dioceses and parishes around the country could choose a date in that period for special events that would constitute a great national campaign of teaching and witness for religious liberty.”

It referred to the mandate that church-affiliated organizations such as hospitals, schools and universities would have to provide contraceptive coverage in their employees’ insurance policies as well as state and local moves that the church says affects its freedom.

“Religious liberty is not only about our ability to go to Mass on Sunday or pray the Rosary at home,” the statement said. “It is about whether we can make our contribution to the common good of all Americans. Can we do the good works our faith calls us to do, without having to compromise that very same faith?

“What is at stake is whether America will continue to have a free, creative, and robust civil society—or whether the state alone will determine who gets to contribute to the common good, and how they get to do it.”

That sums up the progressive experiment. The state will decide what the common good is, and who will participate.

All patriots should proclaim themselves Catholics during this Fortnight for Freedom; for all of our sakes.

Obama's Transgressions May Cause the Catholic Church to Beatify a Mormon

President Barack Obama may rue the day he picked a fight with the Catholic Church and its millions of followers. The Anointed One has spit on one of their house specialties and has aroused the anger of the kitchen help:

Catholic leaders are furious and determined to harness the voting power of the nation’s 70 million Catholic voters to stop a provision of President Barack Obama’s new heath care reform bill that will force Catholic schools, hospitals and charities to buy birth control pills, abortion-producing drugs and sterilization coverage for their employees.

“Never before, unprecedented in American history, for the federal government to line up against the Roman Catholic Church,” said Catholic League head Bill Donohue.

Already Archbishop Timothy Dolan has spoken out against the law and priests around the country have mobilized, reading letters from the pulpit. Donohue said Catholic officials will stop at nothing to put a stop to it.

“This is going to be fought out with lawsuits, with court decisions, and, dare I say it, maybe even in the streets,” Donohue said.

Democratic Meme: Republican Men are the New Taliban

Obama’s media lapdogs are in hyper-hump mode. Every liberal news outlet has clasped onto the Anointed One’s leg in a furious attempt to get his poll numbers up. This naked partisan display is amusing to watch. We conservatives always knew these so-called professionals were just an unpaid arm of the Democratic Party. Now, they are openly advocating for their kindred communist. What is the latest meme? The same as the old meme: the war against women. That’s right those angry white men are trying to take birth control pills away from women. The Taliban have come to America!

We all knew something was up when the Clinton toady brought up the question of contraceptives in a Republican debate. What we didn’t see coming was a frontal assault on the Catholic church and the First Amendment. The Democrats artfully turned the debate from this piss poor economy and the infestation of corruption in the Obama administration to this canard. They have actually convinced some women that the Republicans are the ones obsessed with social issues.

The Democrats are master manipulators, and their target audience is the uninformed. Only a dimwit would believe that refusal to provide “free” birth control is a denial of women’s basic health care. But then again, only a dimwit would believe everything is “free.”

Obama Proclaims Contraceptives are Free!

Barack Hussein Obama has once again demonstrated that he is an economic retard. The Anointed One stood on the mountain top and proclaimed that insurance companies will provide contraceptives for free. FREE! Is it any wonder we have a $15 trillion debt with this imbecile running the show?

I’ve got news for his Grace: nothing is free. Somebody has to pay for this product and service. And guess who will ultimately bare the cost? It will be the policy holders through higher premiums. Does this guy actually believe the insurance companies are going to hand this stuff out for free?

We are told daily that Obama is the smartest man alive. I have no idea what these people base that opinion on. Either he’s a fool, or he believes we are.

The ACLU Demon Dances on the Catholic Churchs Obamacare Mandate

The American Civil Liberties Union has been unmasked. This organization heralds themselves as protectors of the Constitution. But where are they when the Obama administration tramples on the First Amendment rights of Catholics? They side with the oppressors.

"Anti-choice forces around the country are yelling from the rooftops about religious freedom," wrote Laura Murphy, the ACLU's director of the Washington Legislative office, in an email urging supporters to tell their congressional representatives to support the mandate. "But what they actually mean is the use of religion to discriminate and deny millions of women access to birth control [original emphasis]." Murphy faulted opponents of the mandate for "us[ing] religion to discriminate] against women.

The ACLU email framed the issue as a conflict between "lobbying groups" and Obama over the rights of women. "[W]hen lobbying groups — led by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops — insisted that the exemption be expanded to include religiously affiliated hospitals, universities and other institutions, jeopardizing coverage for millions of women, the Obama administration drew a line in the sand," the email declared.

"If the lobbying groups get their way, a woman teaching at a Catholic university could not get coverage," the Murphy added. "Or, a nurse working at an evangelical Christian hospital could be denied access to basic health care."

The totalitarians at the ACLU have a history of violating the First Amendment rights of Christians. Now, they would have the Catholic Church commit (according to doctrine) a mortal sin. If anyone believes the ACLU is a protector of religious liberty after this outrage, than they need their head examined.

ACLU Cheerleads Obama's Molestation of the Catholic Church

Where is the ACLU? Many are asking this very question, as the Obama administration forces themselves on the Catholic Church, by demanding they provide contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortifacients for their employees; in essence, to violate the very tenets of what it means to be a Catholic.

Well, surprise…surprise, the ACLU defends the Obama administrations outrageous power grab by framing this as a women’s health issue:

The ACLU has always been a strong advocate for religious freedom. For nearly a century we have defended the rights of all religious believers – from majority and minority faiths alike – to practice their religion. And to be clear, the rule does not require religious institutions like churches or synagogues that hire people of the same belief for the purposes of advancing that faith to purchase birth control coverage for their employees. Moreover, clergy remain free to espouse their beliefs, and individual women remain free to follow those beliefs or not, according to their own conscience. However, the fundamental promise of religious liberty in this country doesn’t create a right to impose those views on others, including ignoring civil rights laws or denying critical health care.


The ACLU has never been an advocate of religious freedom. If anything they have been antagonistic to all Christians' rights of free speech and religion by censoring their participation in the public arena. Now, this anti-American organization has become a cheerleader for a genuine violation of the First Amendment by the federal government.


Make no mistake, the ACLU is a totalitarian organization, hell bent on suppressing the freedoms of American Christians.

Obamacare Violates Catholic's First Amendment Rights

Is that a prayer at a graduation ceremony? Is that a nativity scene on public property? Oh, no! Is that a cross memorializing fallen soldiers at a park? Separation of church and state! Separation of church and state!

Wait, Obamacare mandates the Catholic Church to provide contraceptives and abortions to their employees and patients in their hospitals? Screw separation of church and state! Screw separation of church and state!

The hypocrisy of liberals is breath taking. Obama’s lapdog, Jay Carney, is chasing his tail in defense of this abomination:

“I understand that there have been objections and that some people disagree with us and we are going to work with institutions that have concerns here,” Carney told reporters. “But I think it’s important to note here that we believe these services are important and that American women deserve to have access to that kind of insurance coverage regardless of where they work.”

Stupid government mandates like this, is one of the reasons health care cost so much. Just because the church refuses to provide women with contraceptives and abortions doesn’t mean they can’t pay for it themselves. The federal government is using this canard to impose their will on the American people. No one is being refused access.

The ACLU is always quick to sue over separation of church and state issues. I sure as hell don’t hear anything from them when the federal government is actually violating the First Amendment. And probably never will.
