North Carolina Gubernatorial Race Could Expose Voter Fraud

The Civitas Institute filed a lawsuit in a federal court requesting a restraining order for same-day registration ballots until they are verified as legit.  A few thousand votes separate Democratic Party challenger Roy Cooper from Governor Pat McCrory in North Carolina’s gubernatorial race.

This election has the potential to expose the rampant voter fraud everyone knows Democrats commit.  Even the Charlotte Observer grudgingly acknowledged that a percentage of SDR is fraught with suspect ballots.

A State Board of Elections review of 2012 voter registrations found that 2.44 percent of voters who used same-day registration did not pass the mail verification process – but that process sometimes wasn’t finished when the voters’ ballots were counted. The failure rate was 3.2 percent during a three-month period at the beginning of 2012, when no early voting was taking place.

Bob Hall, a progressive scumbag at Democracy North Carolina, tried to put some lipstick on this pig.

Hall noted that some mailed registrations are returned as “undeliverable” because the voter moved after Election Day. “The people that use same-day are disproportionately under 30 years old,” he said. “They are more transient than the ordinary voter.”

That’s a lot of transients.  Do we want people who have no roots and are this unstable voting?  Citizenship is being part of the community.  That’s the way it used to be until 2007 when Democrats came up this scheme.

Watch this video and witness how unverified same-day registration votes swayed the 2008 election.  Barack Obama wouldn’t have won North Carolina without it.

Attorney General Roy Cooper Announces Run for Governor of North Carolina

It should be no surprise to anyone who pays attention that Attorney General Roy Cooper announced he is planning to run for governor of North Carolina in 2016.  This man has continuously used the public office as a platform for his own personal ambition.

A couple of years ago, Mr. Cooper refused to protect the citizens of North Carolina from a federal government overreach known as Obamacare.  Here is his reasoning:

"This office should not attempt to enforce state legislation that clearly violates federal law," Cooper said in an interview with The Associated Press. "Another issue is unintended consequences. While it is unenforceable as to federal law, it could be enforceable as to existing state law."

"State legislatures cannot pick and choose which federal laws the state will obey," Cooper wrote to Perdue, pointing to federal rules requiring body scans of pat downs at airports about which many North Carolina residents complain. "The same principle applies here as with other federal laws, even those laws we don't like or agree with.

Well, Attorney General Cooper, why don’t you ask the citizens about the rate increases that are sending shock waves throughout our state?   Here are a couple of people who will not agree with the federal law you refused to fight against:

Across North Carolina, thousands of people have been shocked in recent weeks to find out their health insurance plans will be canceled at the end of the year – and premiums for comparable coverage could increase sharply.

One of them is George Schwab of Charlotte, who pays $228 a month for his family’s $10,000 deductible plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

In a Sept. 23 letter, Blue Cross notified him that his current plan doesn’t meet benefit requirements outlined in the Affordable Care Act and suggested a comparable plan for $1,208 a month – $980 more than he now pays.

“I’m 62 and retired,” Schwab said. “This creates a tremendous financial burden for our family.

“The President told the American people numerous times that… ‘If you like your coverage, you can keep it,’” Schwab said. “How can we keep it if it has been eliminated? How can we keep it if the premium has been increased 430 percent in one year?”

Schwab and others who purchase insurance individually, and not through employer-sponsored group plans, are finding that the Affordable Care Act may be unaffordable for their families.

Thanks Attorney General Roy Cooper.  Your progressive politics are working wonders for North Carolinians.

N.C. Attorney General Gets Epic Slap From Governor's Office

It shouldn’t be a surprise the bullies at Obama’s DOJ is suing the state of North Carolina over our voter ID laws.   It should also be no surprise that Governor Pat McCrory is hiring an outside attorney to defend the citizens of the Old North State instead of employing our State’s Attorney General, Roy Cooper, which is an epic slap in the face.

RALEIGH — Attorney General Roy Cooper said Tuesday that it is an “unnecessary expense” for Gov. Pat McCrory to hire an outside attorney to represent North Carolina against the Obama administration’s lawsuit challenging the state’s new voting law.
“Our office continues to have the primary responsibility to defend the state,” Cooper told reporters. “Our staff will continue to do that.”
The Democrat’s remarks sparked a political blame game about how the state is defending the lawsuit – one with implications for 2016, when Cooper is considering challenging the Republican governor.
Responding to Cooper’s remarks, Bob Stephens, McCrory’s chief legal counsel, said the cost “falls squarely at the feet of the attorney general.”
Stephens questioned Cooper’s ability to defend the state and recommended hiring an outside attorney after Cooper made critical comments about the voting bill earlier this year.
“I was concerned then and I’m concerned today that the comments that he has made (against) this legislation has compromised his ability to represent the state of North Carolina,” Stephens told reporters in a hastily scheduled briefing hours after Cooper’s remarks. Stephens compared it to a defendant’s attorney standing on a street corner and announcing “that you were guilty.
I don’t trust Attorney General Roy Cooper either.  When it came time to defend the citizens of North Carolina against Obamacare he refused to do so.
"The same principle applies here as with other federal laws, even those laws we don't like or agree with."
Governor McCrory is wise not to trust this man.

N.C. Attorney General's Valentine's Day Advice

North Carolina’s Attorney General Roy Cooper is giving advice on Valentine’s Day.  He’s becoming a regular Barack Obama when it comes to talking down to people.

“These scam artists do a lot of research on their victims. They try to find people of means. And it’s clear that these con artists are very convincing,” says Cooper. “Another problem is that most of them operate overseas making it difficult for law enforcement here in North Carolina and in the United States to catch them.”

Sometimes family members will alert police. Sometimes banks and wire companies will. Last year, the state was able to stop three people from boarding plans to hand-deliver cash to their sweethearts in other countries.
So in this Valentine’s season, Cooper has some advice: Remember, people online aren’t always who they say they are, and never send money to strangers you meet through internet sites, even if they say they love you.

I wonder what the people of North Carolina can do when they’re being scammed by their Attorney General.  This guy informed our DOT that we’re obligated by law to issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.  Happy Valentine’s Day to you too, you stinking political hack.

North Carolina to Issue Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens

North Carolina is awarding illegal aliens a driver’s license.  Under the illegal directive of the Obama administration and the misguided advice by States Attorney General Roy Cooper, the pathway to legitimacy is being afforded to those who have broken our immigration laws.  What is really galling is the praise of the ACLU:

RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants who qualify for federal work papers, starting March 25.

Thursday's announcement by DMV Commissioner Tony Tata comes less than a month after the North Carolina attorney general's office said the agency was legally required to issue licenses to those qualified under the Obama administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
Federal authorities began accepting applications in August from immigrants brought to the United States without authorization as minors, granting those who qualify for work papers with an opportunity for renewal after two years.

Immigrant advocacy groups and the state chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union praised the decision by Republican Gov. Pat McCrory's administration as a victory for rule of law.

Victory for the rule of law?  How is this a victory for the rule of law?  The Obama administration for political purposes issued an executive order violating our Constitution.  Under Article One Section Eight only Congress has the authority to establish the rules for naturalization; not the executive branch.  This is anything but the rule of law.  This is a victory for those who do not value their citizenship.  This is a victory for those who believe laws only apply when it is to their benefit.

North Carolina A.G. Roy Cooper Turns His Back on Founding Fathers

State Attorney General Roy Cooper refuses to protect North Carolinians from the usurpations and transgressions of an ever grasping federal government. In a letter to Governor Beverly Perdue, he stated that whatever legislation the federal government passes, even if it is unconstitutional, is the supreme law of the land:

"This office should not attempt to enforce state legislation that clearly violates federal law," Cooper said in an interview with The Associated Press. "Another issue is unintended consequences. While it is unenforceable as to federal law, it could be enforceable as to existing state law."

"State legislatures cannot pick and choose which federal laws the state will obey," Cooper wrote to Perdue, pointing to federal rules requiring body scans of pat downs at airports about which many North Carolina residents complain. "The same principle applies here as with other federal laws, even those laws we don't like or agree with."

You cannot compare pat downs at airports with Obamacare. I don’t have to fly; therefore I can avoid being molested by TSA agents. But under Obamacare, I’m forced to buy a product or be fined and thrown in jail. There is a big difference.

Brion McClanahan PHD from the University of South Carolina defines the Supremacy Clause and its limitations:

The so-called “supremacy clause” of the Constitution, found in Article 6, states, “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding [emphasis added].”

The key, of course, is the italicized phrase. All laws made in pursuance of the Constitution, or those clearly enumerated in the document, were supreme, State laws notwithstanding. In other words, the federal government was supreme in all items clearly listed in the document.

Hugh Williamson, a North Carolina delegate to the Constitutional convention and signer, emphasized this very point:

To most of the assembled delegates, the national government was not the center of the political universe and the States retained their sovereignty. Hugh Williamson of North Carolina emphatically stated he “was against giving a power that might restrain the states from regulating their internal police.”

Dr. McClanahan further demonstrates the concerns and wisdom of our founding fathers:

By the time the Constitution was debated in the several State ratifying conventions in 1787 and 1788, the “supremacy clause” galvanized opponents of the document. The Constitution, they said, would destroy the States and render them impotent in their internal affairs. The response from proponents of ratification illuminates the true intent of the clause. William Davie, a delegate to the Constitutional Convention from North Carolina and proponent of the Constitution, responded to attacks levied on the “supremacy clause” by stating that:

This Constitution, as to the powers therein granted, is constantly to be the supreme law of the land. Every power ceded by it must be executed without being counteracted by the laws or constitutions of the individual states. Gentlemen should distinguish that it is not the supreme law in the exercise of power not granted. It can be supreme only in cases consistent with the powers specially granted, and not in usurpations [emphasis added].

Davie wasn’t alone in this opinion. Future Supreme Court justice James Iredell of North Carolina argued that, “This clause [the supremacy clause] is supposed to give too much power, when, in fact, it only provides for the execution of those powers which are already given in the foregoing articles….If Congress, under pretence of executing one power, should, in fact, usurp another, they will violate the Constitution [emphasis added].”

Attorney General Roy Cooper is obviously oblivious to the concerns of North Carolina’s founding fathers. They were fearful of an all powerful federal government that would impose itself upon the states, and deny them the ability of self-governance.

Mr. Cooper’s inaction is an affront to the principles of our founding. He has proven himself a devotee and stooge of the Democratic Party.

Why Isn't North Carolina Joining Obamacare Lawsuits?

Many are asking why North Carolina isn’t joining other states in a lawsuit to stop Obamacare. The answer is our state’s Attorney General Roy Cooper. The newly elected Republican majority is passing a bill to force this mule headed moron to act:

Republican lawmakers say the bill is designed to force Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper to join 26 other states in a lawsuit challenging the federal health care law's constitutionality or to defend the state law banning the insurance mandate.

"This is designed to protect the vast majority of our citizens from what we believe to be an unjustified incursion of power," offered House Majority Leader Skip Stam.

Cooper has refused to join litigation by other states. He sent ABC11 the following statement Thursday:

"The Attorney General must uphold state and federal laws, but if they conflict, the US Constitution and federal law prevail. A state law that authorizes North Carolina citizens to violate federal law could be found to be unconstitutional. The federal health law is deemed Constitutional until the federal appellate courts conclude otherwise."

No Mr. Cooper, you are to defend North Carolinians from the abuses of an overreaching federal government. The ninth and tenth amendments state that whatever is not enumerated in the Constitution is reserved to the states and ultimately to the people.

Attorney General Roy Cooper refuses to do his duty. There must be some provision in North Carolina’s Constitution that could force his removal.
