Professor Declares North Carolina an Authoritarian State

If you think liberal hysteria has reached record decibels at the national level then you haven’t seen the screeching hair fire that’s going on in North Carolina.  Our state’s General Assembly has been under attack since republicans gained power in 2010.  Regional rags have moved the arms on the Dooms Day clock to two minutes to midnight.

A recent op-ed emblazoned the following headline, North Carolina is no longer considered a democracy.  This bit of drama was written by a professor at UNC-Chapel Hill.  His bio reads thus: Andrew Reynolds has consulted in over 25 nations on issues of democratic design since 1991. His most recent book is The Arab Spring: Pathways of Repression and Reform (Oxford). He is a Professor of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

We all know academia has reached an all new low, but the following rhetoric is beyond the pale.  Here is an excerpt from our regional Disturbers:

In 2012 Elklit and I worked with Pippa Norris of Harvard University, who used the system as the cornerstone of the Electoral Integrity Project. Since then the EIP has measured 213 elections in 153 countries and is widely agreed to be the most accurate method for evaluating how free and fair and democratic elections are across time and place.

When we evolved the project I could never imagine that as we enter 2017, my state, North Carolina, would perform so badly on this, and other, measures that we are no longer considered to be a fully functioning democracy.

In the just released EIP report, North Carolina’s overall electoral integrity score of 58/100 for the 2016 election places us alongside authoritarian states and pseudo-democracies like Cuba, Indonesia and Sierra Leone. If it were a nation state, North Carolina would rank right in the middle of the global league table – a deeply flawed, partly free democracy that is only slightly ahead of the failed democracies that constitute much of the developing world.

Is this guy serious?  North Carolina ranks below Cuba, Indonesia and Sierra Leone?  And he teaches at a respected university?  Wow!

First of all, I would like to inform Professor Reynolds that North Carolina, along with fifty other states, is a constitutional republic.  The U.S. Constitution specifically dictates and guarantees that.  We are not a democracy and thank God for it.

So what has this professor’s panties in a bunch?  According to this fool, the criteria that ranked us with dictators and failed states are redistricting, voter registration, a legislature that exercises its prerogatives and a recent phenomenon: transgender rights.

It’s hard to believe a professor at UNC-Chapel Hill is unaware of the history of North Carolina’s First and 12th Congressional Districts.  I can attest to it because I live in it. And I can say without hesitation that my neighborhood has been in and out of the 12th since I moved here in 1994.  As a matter of fact, the First and 12th Congressional Districts were drawn by Democrats in 1991; its legitimacy was contested in 1992 in the United States District Court.  Shaw v Reno went all the way to the Supreme Court.  Here is an excerpt from A History of African Americans in North Carolina:

The chief justice chided the state for using race as a “predominant consideration.”  The state did not deny the criticism.  It created two majority-minority districts to comply with the VRA and the demands of the Justice Department.  Rehnquist objected to the purported premise of North Carolina’s reapportionment plan, namely, that the General Assembly could draw a district anywhere in the state to overcome the violations of the VRA.  “We find this position singularly unpersuasive,” he concluded.

These districts have been contested since its inception.  How can this be a surprise to a political science professor?  His specious arguments don’t end there.  Professor Reynolds believes North Carolina tried to disenfranchise voters by eliminating same-day registration.  I would like to inform this academic that only 16 states have passed this law which 12 have enacted.  The real disenfranchisement is leveled against responsible citizens who registered months in advance of an election.  Many of these SDR ballots are fraudulent.  The Civitas Institute proved that after the 2008 general election.

This professor should be ashamed of himself.  But we all know liberals are incapable of self-reflection.  To them, the ends justify the means and the truth is hyperbole.

North Carolina Gubernatorial Race Could Expose Voter Fraud

The Civitas Institute filed a lawsuit in a federal court requesting a restraining order for same-day registration ballots until they are verified as legit.  A few thousand votes separate Democratic Party challenger Roy Cooper from Governor Pat McCrory in North Carolina’s gubernatorial race.

This election has the potential to expose the rampant voter fraud everyone knows Democrats commit.  Even the Charlotte Observer grudgingly acknowledged that a percentage of SDR is fraught with suspect ballots.

A State Board of Elections review of 2012 voter registrations found that 2.44 percent of voters who used same-day registration did not pass the mail verification process – but that process sometimes wasn’t finished when the voters’ ballots were counted. The failure rate was 3.2 percent during a three-month period at the beginning of 2012, when no early voting was taking place.

Bob Hall, a progressive scumbag at Democracy North Carolina, tried to put some lipstick on this pig.

Hall noted that some mailed registrations are returned as “undeliverable” because the voter moved after Election Day. “The people that use same-day are disproportionately under 30 years old,” he said. “They are more transient than the ordinary voter.”

That’s a lot of transients.  Do we want people who have no roots and are this unstable voting?  Citizenship is being part of the community.  That’s the way it used to be until 2007 when Democrats came up this scheme.

Watch this video and witness how unverified same-day registration votes swayed the 2008 election.  Barack Obama wouldn’t have won North Carolina without it.

Early Theft Begins in North Carolina

Early theft began in North Carolina yesterday.  Absentee voters can file their ballots two months prior to Election Day without added insight of debates or the usual October surprise provided by a biased media.  However, you still have to provide some form of ID on the request form.  That’s more than what’s required at the polls, thanks to liberal judges.

These activists in black robes openly declared the citizens of the Old North State a bunch of racist bigots for ensuring the integrity of the vote.  If you ask me the real bigots are these black robed thugs who have implicitly stated minorities are too stupid and lazy to present an ID and vote within the prescribed time by our state legislators.  Here is what one bigot judge had to say:

Citing "the inextricable link between race and politics in North Carolina," a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit said state lawmakers intentionally imposed the restrictions to make it more difficult for blacks to vote.

"The new provisions target African Americans with almost surgical precision," the judges said. "They constitute inapt remedies for the problems assertedly justifying them and, in fact, impose cures for problems that did not exist."

Where in this legislation did it say only blacks must show an ID or vote within a prescribed time frame?  It doesn’t.  But that didn’t stop these demigods in black robes from divining the intent of our state’s legislators.

I find it amazing the director of the FBI can state Hillary Clinton had no criminal intent when she conducted government business on a private server in her basement, destroyed subpoenaed emails with bleachbit and demolished cell phones with hammers; yet, these black robed thugs can strike down a state law because they believe it was intended to disenfranchise minority voters.  Unbelievable.

Absentee ballots and same day registration are the vehicles for voter fraud and we all know what party benefits from that.  We also know what party these federal judges belong too as well.

Democrats Mobilize to Strike Down Voter ID Laws

You would think Americans could agree on laws like Voter ID.  Reasonable people would conclude this is common sense legislation that ensures the integrity of the vote.  But once again, we are mistaken.  Progressives don’t care about integrity of the vote.  What they want is to steal elections.

Democrats have hired a super-lawyer to contest voting laws around the country.  Marc Elias represents a consortium of liberal organizations and has a multi-million dollar deal with the devil himself, George Soros.  Somebody has to finance this totalitarian power grab.

Progressives would have us believe that minorities are too stupid and lazy to obtain an ID, or register to vote in a timely fashion.  What they want is same day voting without proof of residency.  This is how Barack Obama and the Democratic Party stole the vote in the 2008 election in North Carolina.  Here is a video by the Civitas Institute explaining how that was done.

Voter Fraud Rampant in North Carolina

Republicans have once again been proven right.  There is rampant voter fraud and it’s particularly prevalent in the state of North Carolina just as we suspected.  Don’t expect liberal rags like the Charlotte Observer to publish this widely held secret.  That would discredit their narrative, “Republican’s are racist and want to suppress the vote.”   Instead, we have to rely on outside organizations and news services for investigative journalism.

Here is an excerpt from WND on how Barack Obama won North Carolina in the 2008 general election:

“Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin,” the authors said.

Judicial Watch noted most non-citizens do not register, let alone vote, but the study showed “enough do that their participation can change the outcome of close races.”

“Based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010,” Judicial Watch said.

“This is outrageous, to say that least, and illustrates the need to clean up voter rolls in this country.”

The authors of the study said: “There were five states in 2008 where less than 100 percent turnout among non-citizens could have accounted for Obama’s victory margin. … It is likely though by no means certain that John McCain would have won North Carolina were it not for the votes for Obama cast by non-citizens.”

Civitas, a conservative think tank, also published a video detailing the fraud that is same day voter registration back in October 2012:

Project Veritas once again exposed nefarious activities by democrats.  Here is a video demonstrating the "party of the people" aiding and abetting non-citizens at the polls.

Hey, Charlotte Observer, are you going to report on this?  Yeah, didn’t think so.

Same Day Registration Fraught with Voter Fraud

Have you ever wondered if the same day voting applicants are legit?  Are these people who they say they are?  Or is this another form of voter fraud?  The Civitas Institute researched the 2008 election and published the following report:

The 10 counties raised questions about the validity of some of the registrations and ultimately some votes. According to one county, there were “numerous undeliverable voter registration cards returned after the canvass time-frame which allowed the voter’s vote to count and it should not have.” And another county voiced a similar concern: “We have one-stop voter verification cards which did not complete their mailing cycle prior to canvass day.”

The counties are highlighting an egregious flaw in the process: Voters who register to vote and vote during SDR bypass the necessary address verification process — which all other voters must undergo — when registering to vote. SDR voters do not go through this process because there is not enough time to complete the verification process before the certification of the election. So there are thousands of SDR voters who have had their registrations “denied” — but only after their votes were counted and the election certified. Once an election is certified, the votes stand.

The way some counties handled the registration and verification process during early voting meant ballots from some voters who were not properly verified, but their votes still counted.

The Civitas Institute’s research into the 2008 vote showed that SDR does not allow for completion of the verification process — not only for “Same-Day” registrants but also for voters who register during the last days before the voter registration deadline (25 days prior to Election Day). These voters registered to vote in accordance with state law and were then eligible to vote as soon as eight days later, on the first day of One-Stop Voting. This resulted in more than 6,000 new voters being “denied,” but only after their votes were counted in 2008. And even more voters were placed in inactive status because the county boards of elections were unable or did not follow administrative procedures.

These fraudulent votes handed North Carolina’s 15 electoral votes over to Barack Hussein Obama.  Watch the above video for more details.
