Food Stamp Fraud Committed by Children and the Dead
Sometimes you come across a story that is so outrageous that you can’t believe it’s true. I’m not talking about this Donald Trump golden showers nonsense. I’m talking about scams that are so brazen that you can’t help but laugh.
It seems like every big caper comes at the expense
of the taxpayer. The latest involves stores owned by children and the dead. Here is an excerpt from the Free Beacon.
We found
that 3,394 authorized SNAP retailers (retailers) used Social Security Numbers
(SSN) that matched SSNs of deceased people,” the inspector general said.
“Additionally, 193 retailers listed owners who were not at least 18 years of
age. While FNS did have some controls to edit or verify SNAP retail owner
information, these controls were not adequate to ensure owner information
accuracy.”
Between October 2013 and June 2015, the
inspector general identified 3,394 stores owned by 1,819 people who were using
SSNs listed on the Social Security Administration’s Death Master File.
“These 3,394 retailers redeemed about
$2.6 billion in SNAP benefits,” the inspector general said. The 193 businesses
that reported child owners redeemed $41 million in food stamps.
“Without accurate retail owner data such
as birth dates and SSNs, [the Food and Nutrition Service] FNS has little
assurance that retailers are who they say they are,” the inspector general
said. “This could leave the program open to abuse by disqualified individuals
and others wishing to hide their identity for possible fraudulent purposes.”
“If indeed some of these retailers are
wholly owned by deceased persons or persons under the age of 18, this situation
could leave FNS with little recourse other than disqualification in the event
that adverse action needs to be taken against a particular retailer,” the
inspector general added
I remember the Weinberg Medicaid scandal in the late
1980’s. This family owned a couple of clinics
where they engineered a $16 million theft.
It was the biggest case of fraud in the 22 year history of Medicaid.
The Weinbergs should have had children registered as
owners. You can’t prosecute minors.

The Coming Obamacare EBT Fiasco
A couple of days ago, the country witnessed a major
fiasco with the federal government’s food stamp EBT cards. Sections of the country were denied access,
while others were given unlimited balances.
And what did the teat squawkers do?
In those areas denied, panic set in.
In Louisiana, it was a free for all.
And guess who gets to foot the bill.
No card is limitless, DCFS spokesman Trey Willims
told KSLA-TV. Usually when outages occur, he said, it’s the store’s
responsibility to take action, include calling a number to verify customers’
card limits.
But some retailers chose not to do that Saturday night.
“These
businesses are only reimbursed for the benefits on the card, and they are
completely responsible. So if someone had $50 dollars on their card, and they
spent $100, the retailer, in this case Walmart, would be on the hook for the
other $50,” he said
Once
people believe they are entitled to a government program, they get a little
testy.
Can you imagine what it’s going to be like under Obamacare? What kind of rampages are we going to be
subjected to if an Obamacare EBT card malfunctions? And who will pay for that? If the latest fiasco is any indication, it
won’t be the federal government. Wait, what
am I saying? The federal government
doesn’t make money. They confiscate it.

USDA Undermines NC Mountain Pride
An agent for the USDA was given an award for corrupting a proud North Carolina community by making them dependent on food stamps. People should be rewarded for helping others become independent and self-sufficient. That concept is long gone in the age Obama.

Food Stamp Rat Living the Beach Bum Life
I watched this special last Friday. All I can say is this country has lost its soul. I remember a time when people were ashamed of taking a government handout. Now its no big deal. As a matter of fact you're considered clever for scamming the "system."
We have become a degenerative culture. And this beach bum is living a rat's life.

More Americans on Food Stamps in Age of Obama
More disturbing news on the home front, record number of American households are on food stamps. Zerohedge.com reported the following:
While hardly presented by the mainstreamWe media with the same panache dedicated to the monthly ARIMA-X-12 seasonally-adjusted, climate-affected, goal-seek devised non-farm payroll data, the three month delayed Foodstamp number is according to many a far greater attestation to the "effectiveness" of the Obama administration to turn the economy around. And far greater it is: since his inauguration, the US has generated just 841,000 jobs through November 2012, a number is more than dwarfed by the 17.3 million new foodstamps and disability recipients added to the rolls in the past 4 years. And since the start of the depression in December 2007, America has seen those on foodstamps and disability increase by 21.8 million, while losing 3.6 million jobs. End result: total number of foodstamp recipients as of November: 47.7 million, an increase of 141,000 from the prior month, and reversing the brief downturn in October, while total US households on foodstamps just hit an all time record of 23,017,768, an increase of 73,952 from the prior month. The cost to the government to keep these 23 million households content and not rising up? $281.21 per month per household.
Don’t
worry. We’re told food stamps are good
for the economy. All I have to say is thank
God for Democrats.

Homeland Security's Taxpayer Funded Teat Sheet for Immigrants
If you want a confirmation of America’s decline, all
you have to do is visit the Department of Homeland Security’s website. There you’ll find an immigrant cheat sheet to
the taxpayer teat. Don’t look down, you
might just find a foreigner dangling from your areola.
“Welcome to USA.gov,” a website maintained by the Department
of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), bills
itself as the “primary gateway for new immigrants to find basic information“Depending on your immigration status, length of time in the United States, and income, you may be eligible for some federal benefit programs
“Government assistance programs can be critically important to the well-being of some immigrants and their families. Frequently, however, there is a lack of information about how to access such benefits. Benefit programs can be complicated and you may be given misleading information about how they operate.”
A long time ago, Americans didn’t allow this to happen. Immigrants had to prove their worth as citizens, if they couldn’t provide for themselves, they would’ve been deported. The Progressives have changed that standard:
A "public charge" is someone who cannot provide for himself and thus relies on public assistance for a substantial part of his livelihood; it is someone who is a charge, or responsibility, of the public.6 Individuals who are deemed as likely to become charges of the public are excluded from entering the United States. If an immigrant becomes a public charge, he may be deported. With the rise of the welfare state in the United States since the Progressive Era, public assistance has increasingly come through the civil government; however, public aid historically had a heavy private sector, voluntary, charitable aspect.
The policy of excluding potential public charges seeks to ensure that individuals unable or unwilling to sustain themselves not burden society. It embodies the idea that an immigrant should be self-sufficient and contribute to the society granting him the privilege of becoming a new member. It is one of the conditions of the social contract. Immigration policy relates to the choosing among foreigners those whom a country will accept. Designating public charges as excludable rests within the rights of a sovereign nation to decide on those to whom to grant admission or the right to remain.
Immigrants once thought American
streets were paved with golden opportunity; now they see food stamps and “free
health care.”

Barack Obama: The Private Sector is Doing Just Fine

Dear Leader has spoken! The private sector is doing just fine! So it is said, so let it be written. Spread the word!
The economy is doing so great the food stamp program has doubled since Obama has been in office. How is that possible? According to the haloed one, it is the public sector employees who are suffering. I had no idea that so many teachers, policemen, and firefighters were enrolled on this welfare program.
The Daily Caller reported the following:
The vast majority of federal spending in the Senate farm bill, which is estimated to cost over $100 billion annually, is going toward food stamps, representing a 100 percent increase since President Barack Obama took office, according to Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions.
“This legislation will spend $82 billion on food stamps next year, and an estimated $770 billion over the next ten years. To put these figures in perspective, we will spend $40 billion federal dollars next year on roads and bridges,” said Sessions, the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee.
“Food stamp spending has more than quadrupled since the year 2001. It has increased 100 percent since President Obama took office,” he said.

Forget Farm Aid. We need Public Worker Aid!

WSJ Reaffirms Obama's Status as the Food Stamp President
The Wall Street Journal has reported that participation in the federal food stamp program has increased by 70% since 2007, and is expected to rise even further. This is very disturbing. The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday that 45 million people in 2011 received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, a 70% increase from 2007. It said the number of people receiving the benefits, commonly known as food stamps, would continue growing until 2014
Spending for the program, not including administrative costs, rose to $72 billion in 2011, up from $30 billion four years earlier. The CBO projected that one in seven U.S. residents received food stamps last year.
In a report, the CBO said roughly two-thirds of jump in spending was tied to an increase in the number of people participating in the program, which provides access to food for the poor, elderly, and disabled. It said another 20% “of the growth in spending can be attributed to temporarily higher benefit amounts enacted in the” 2009 stimulus law.
In the meantime, we have democratic politicians and their surrogates spinning the virtue of dependency, while denigrating those who actually provide jobs. Here is Jesse Jackson hailing the food stamp president:
Here is Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D) trying to deflect Obama's dismal record on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Here is a chart putting his assertions into perspective:

Food Stamps Stimulate the Economy?
Obama’s Secretary of Agriculture made an asinine comment. According to this fool, every dollar spent in food stamps creates $1.84 in economic activity in direct stimulus. Well, if that’s the case lets all get on welfare. We can all have American Recovery Act placards on our backs.
Newt Gingrich called it. Barack Obama is the Food Stamp President:
CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- A record number of Americans are now receiving food stamps, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In May, there were 45.75 million recipients of the aid, up 2.5% from the previous month and 12% from May of 2010. The state of Alabama showed the biggest increase, almost 120%, with New Jersey, Nevada and North Carolina all seeing jumps in the 20% range. Every state posted a percentage increase, save North Dakota, which was essentially flat.
Thank God for food stamps. I’d hate to see what our economy would be like without them.

Democrats Starve the Poor to Feed Teachers Union
House Democrats passed a 26 billion dollar bill last Tuesday. They are plundering the treasury to support one of their faithful voting blocs: the teachers union. The teachers union and their campaign donations are so important to the democrats that they are willing to starve the poor.
The bill that has no name strips $12 billion from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps. The United States currently has 41 million Americans who depend on this program; and with the nation’s economic malaise, is expanding at a rapid rate. FoxNews.com and the Associated Press reported the following:
According to U.S. Department of Agriculture figures, the number of people on the food stamp rolls has been growing to record levels for 18 straight months. Nearly $5.5 billion in aid went out to beneficiaries in May alone. The number of May recipients marked a 19 percent increase from a year ago and the USDA projects that next year's enrollment will reach about 43.4 million.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R) Wisconsin stated that Democrats are robbing states that have been fiscally responsible:
"It is basically taxpayers from fiscally (responsible) states bailing out fiscally irresponsible states. ... Medicaid funding, teacher funding, the more popular of the public unions, what this is, it's a bailout to prevent states from doing the necessary spending prioritization that they need do," he said.
The Democrats have thrown grandma and the little children under the bus. They would rather starve the poor, than let their precious union members go without. This is another teachable moment for all Americans.
