A Weak Congress Leads to a Tyrannical Judiciary

A weak Congress leads to a tyrannical judiciary. Do you doubt it? How else can a district court judge dictate immigration and foreign policy contrary to established statutes and constitutional prerogatives? Not only can a lowly judge suspend the laws of the land but he can force the president of the United States to go hat in hand before the Supreme Court to overturn his ruling. Whatever happened to checks and balances? Who’s to check and balance the only branch of government that is unelected and therefore unaccountable?

For every problem that this country faces, I can point to a rogue judicial ruling: Plyler v. Doe legitimized illegal aliens by forcing states to educate their children; Reynolds v. Sims diluted the rural vote and attacked the very premise of a republican form of government which has led to secession movements in California and Colorado; Abington School District v. Schempp forbade Bible reading in public schools and without a doubt has a direct correlation to pervasive immorality and school shootings, and how else can an unelected body of activist judges force the citizenry to uphold their dictates? Well in Cooper v. Aaron they bound the states to uphold their decisions. Isn’t that convenient?

The dirty little secret is Congress has the constitutional authority to check a rogue judiciary. Article III Section 2 states the following:

The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States, and treaties made, or which shall be made, under their authority;--to all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls;--to all cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction;--to controversies to which the United States shall be a party;--to controversies between two or more states;--between a state and citizens of another state;--between citizens of different states;--between citizens of the same state claiming lands under grants of different states, and between a state, or the citizens thereof, and foreign states, citizens or subjects.

In all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and those in which a state shall be party, the Supreme Court shall have original jurisdiction. In all the other cases before mentioned, the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make.

The trial of all crimes, except in cases of impeachment, shall be by jury; and such trial shall be held in the state where the said crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any state, the trial shall be at such place or places as the Congress may by law have directed.

Therefore, Congress can limit the scope on which federal courts can rule. Here is an excerpt from Limiting Judicial Review by Act of Congress written in 1935:

It is well settled that the inferior federal courts are dependent upon Congress for their existence and the powers they exercise. Once in our early history Congress abolished the inferior federal courts altogether, and in our own time, Congress abolished the United States Circuit Courts. Congress frequently has limited the jurisdiction of the inferior federal courts. Since 1867 the inferior federal courts have been prohibited from enjoining the assessment or collection of a federal tax. For twenty five years District Courts have been prohibited, except by a specially constituted court of three judges, from enjoining the action of the Interstate Commerce Commission or of state officers, under state statutes, claimed to be violative of the-Federal Constitution. And a little more than a year ago Congress passed a statute depriving the United States 'District Courts of jurisdiction under certain circumstances to restrain the enforcement of the orders of state or local utilities' commissions under the due process clause of the Constitution of the United States.

Make no mistake about it, Congress has the constitutional authority to check and balance the federal courts. The only problem is weak leadership and/or a complete ignorance of Congress’ constitutional prerogatives.

Venezuelans Voted for Tyranny

For the life of me, I cannot understand why immigrants from third world countries advocate for a welfare state knowing the oppression and corruption that breeds from authoritarian regimes.  Mexicans have a word for it: mordida.

So when I was debating a business owner of Venezuelan descent about Obamacare, I couldn’t help but laugh.  How could this man advocate a Chavez-esque expropriation of an industry knowing the outcome.  He didn’t appreciate my derisive inquiry and proceeded to kick me out of his store.

A couple of years later, after Chavez died and the eventual breakdown of their socialist society began, I asked this same business owner how his family was doing in Venezuela.  It wasn’t good.  As a matter of fact, they’re living a nightmare.

He was wondering why the United States didn’t intervene on behalf of the Venezuelan people.  I flat out told him they voted for tyranny.  They’re getting exactly what they asked for.  And the United States shouldn’t stick our nose in this business because we’ll end up owning their stupidity and then they’ll scapegoat the “Yankees” for the problems they created.

So when I heard the Trump administration is considering a military intervention in Venezuela, I couldn’t believe it.  Isn’t it about time we learn from our mistakes.  Better yet, why don’t we let others learn from theirs.

The Federal Church of Washington D.C.

The Obama administration is a study in federal tyranny.  The thugs that populate the Anointed One’s bureaucracies have no shame.  Had a republican president acted in this manner, he would’ve been impeached long ago and conservatives would’ve led the charge.   It has become self-evident we have two Americas: one for democrats and another for everyone else.

This other America, democrats are thrusting upon decent, law-abiding citizens, is replete with indecency, immorality and a sense of entitlement that is alien to a country founded by a god-fearing people accustomed to hard work.  This other America is a creature established by Washington D.C. elites who’ve created a caste system whereas they are the priestly rulers, illegal aliens are a protected class and the mentally ill can flaunt their diseased minds with naked abandon.  The last class on the rung is the lowly citizens who have to wade through their trickle-down filth.

A decade ago, no one would’ve thought Christians could lose their businesses for simply following their faith, or forced to buy a product that’s an affront to their religion.  In today’s America, Washington D.C. is the established church and their religion is antithetical to our founding principles.

Currently, North Carolina is under assault from the heathens at the Justice Department.  These thugs are using our own taxpayer money against us to violate a long established moral and ethical code.

The Justice Department said the North Carolina law violates federal Civil Rights Act protections barring workplace and student discrimination based on sex. Various federal agencies have further defined these protections as extending to transgender people, declaring that it violates the law to prevent people from using bathrooms that align with their gender identity.

"The State is engaging in a pattern or practice of discrimination against transgender state employees and both you, in your official capacity, and the state are engaging in a pattern or practice of resistance" of their rights, Justice Department Civil Rights Division leader Vanita Gupta wrote to McCrory.

Gupta also notified the 17-campus University of North Carolina system that the state law violates Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which bars discrimination in education based on sex. That could lead to North Carolina losing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal school funding. In that letter, Gupta cited last month's federal appellate ruling supporting a transgender student's discrimination case against a Virginia school board that implemented a similar bathroom policy.

These progressives have bastardized title IX of the Civil Rights Act just like they’ve done with the 14th Amendment.  How long are the American people going to put up with this nonsense?  Washington D.C. is incapable of reforming itself.  It is time to invoke Article V and convene a convention of the States.

Progressives: Patriotism is Obedience to the Federal Government

It’s that time of year when Americans celebrate our Declaration of Independence from a distant, tyrannical government hell bent on subverting our natural rights and the democratic process.  Lately, many of us are beginning to wonder if another revolution is warranted.

We certainly have a division amongst us that is similar to the Spirit of ’76.  A third of the country disdains the democratic process and yearns for executive and judicial decrees akin to a king and his council.  A third is fighting to ward off the usurpations of our natural rights by clinging to our founding principles; and the other third are a bunch of morons too busy taking selfies and posting on Facebook to notice what’s going on.

What really bothers me is progressives have conflated patriotism with obedience to the federal government.  They celebrate Barack Obama’s and the Supreme Courts lawlessness.  They can’t even comprehend the duplicity – some would say treasonous actions – of the Obama administration’s foreign policy.  Here are the ravings of an Obama apologist:

Obama is trying hard to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons. It may not be possible, but naysayers to his plan simply do not understand realpolitik in today’s complicated world. No longer can the United States dictate outcomes to diplomatic crises.

No longer can the United States send troops and end chaos and civil war, such as in Syria. Some days it seems we have learned nothing from the lives lost and ruined in Iraq and Afghanistan and the trillion dollars lost to our economy, money that we desperately needed to rebuild our infrastructure and improve our schools. Obama ended those wars, the longest in our history.

Too many forget that when Obama became president, the nation was deep in recession and headed for all-out depression. You may well argue with the means he used, but there is no doubt we dodged what could easily have turned into an economic calamity.

The people who haven’t learned anything are those who believe our enemies will leave us alone, or didn’t 9/11 teach them anything? We may not be able to “dictate outcomes,” but we sure as hell shouldn’t be complicit!  Before Barack Obama became president, our enemies feared us and our friends respected us; that no longer exist.  ISIS and Putin are openly questioning are president’s manhood.  That should be considered an insult.

As far as the economy is concerned, recessions happen about every seven years; it is a necessary cycle that helps clear out malinvestments.  Both Bush and Obama administrations didn’t allow that to happen.  The economic calamity that was supposedly averted is around the corner.

I’m sure when this happens, progressives will not let this crisis go to waste.   They’ll wail for our D.C. masters to “do something” because nothing says patriotism like slavish obedience to the federal government.

Democrats Scheme to Silence Political Opponents

How petty and corrupt are Democrats?  If they don’t like what you have to say, they’ll use the full force of the federal government to shut you up.  They’ve already used the IRS on the Tea Party; however, they need something a little more powerful to take on established organization and people who have resources to defend themselves.  Democrats need to change the First Amendment.  The Daily Caller reported the following:

The proposed amendment, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Tom Udall, would give Congress broad power to shape campaign finance laws. It would effectively overturn the Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling in Citizens United v. FEC and 2014 ruling in McCutcheon v. FEC, which struck down laws restricting when corporations and unions can spend money on elections, and how much individuals can donate to candidates in a two-year period.

This is “the most important issue to Americans in years,” added Sen. Bernie Sanders. “If people think this is some kind of esoteric issue, not related to jobs, the economy, and wages, and women’s rights, and income and wealth inequality, and healthcare and global warming, you are deadly wrong.”

“Why do people like the Koch brother’s spend hundreds of millions of dollars?” he continued. “If you understand what they stand for, and that is to end, do away with social security, do away with medicare, do away with medicaid do away with the concept of the minimum wage, do away with the environmental protection agency — that is the struggle. They have an agenda.”

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse also pointed to the Koch Brothers as a reason for amending the Constitution, and accused them of coercing Republicans into giving up on climate change legislation. Before Citizens United, the Republicans had a candidate for president willing to have a climate change plan, he said, and brought a carbon regulations bill to the Senate floor. But now “the Koch brothers, the biggest polluters in this country have gotten together, and they’ve silenced them.”

Silenced them?  More like exposed them.  I’ve got a solution if people really want to get money out of politics and especially out of Washington D.C.  We should repeal the 17th Amendment and let States’ legislators decide who represents their interest, as was intended by our founding fathers.  The progressive experiment has proven to be a failure; it’s time to right this ship before Democrats turn this country into a totalitarian hell hole.

Democrats Road Map to Tyranny: Ignorance and Vice

Earlier this week, the nation celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.  President Barack Obama, of course, had to place himself center stage by omitting “Under God” in his recitation of that famous speech.  His irreverence should be no surprise to anyone who pays attention.  He and his minions attack Christians and their religion every chance they get.

Progressives have been successful at rewriting history.  Their god, FDR, is a poignant example of that.  So far, they have also been successful at expunging God and Christ from our schools and the public square; even to the point of denying that our founding fathers were Christians and that they envisioned the United States as a Christian nation.

Progressives can deny this all they want, but we have the documents to prove it.  The first Continental Congress unanimously voted for the Suffolk Resolves.  One of those provisions claimed they were Protestant Christians:

10. That the late act of parliament for establishing the Roman Catholic religion and the French laws in that extensive country, now called Canada, is dangerous in an extreme degree to the Protestant religion and to the civil rights and liberties of all America; and, therefore, as men and Protestant Christians, we are indispensubly obliged to take all proper measures for our security.

Samuel Adams, widely considered the Father of the Revolution, wrote that Americans have a religious duty to defend their liberties.  Here is an excerpt that was published in the Boston Gazette on October 5, 1772:

Is it not High Time for the People of this Country explicitly to declare, whether they will be Freemen or Slaves?  It is an important Question which ought to be decided.  It concerns us more than any Thing in this Life.  The Salvation of our Souls is interested in the Event:  For wherever Tyranny is establish’d, Immorality of every Kind comes in like a Torrent.  It is in the interest of Tyrants to reduce the people to Ignorance and Vice.  For they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together.  For this Reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the People’s Liberties, practice every Art to poison their Morals.  How greatly then does it concern us, at all Events, to put a Stop to the Progress of Tyranny.

And that pretty much describes the strategy of the Democratic Party.

U.S. Senators Cannot Serve Two Masters

When the U.S. Constitution was ratified, it was understood that the Senate was to represent the interest of the States.  This arrangement was designed as a safeguard against rampant populism and a check upon the ambitions of the federal government.  Then the 17th Amendment was passed.  Now, the States are being turned into vassalages and the citizenry enslaved by ambitious politicians and unchecked bureaucrats.  I’m here to say that the U.S. Senate cannot serve two masters.  Either they represent the interest of their state, or that of the federal government.  So far, it has been the latter.

Many believe that it’s impossible to repeal the 17th Amendment.  The argument is made that the individual voter would rather have a say as to who shall represent them in the Senate rather than allowing their state’s legislature to make that choice.  What we are seeing in many states is the interest of urban areas dominating that of rural or less populated districts.  Sometimes these senators don’t vote in the interest of either.  Before the 17th Amendment the states had the ability to recall rogue senators.  Now we have to wait 6 years for these super-legislators to come to the polls.

Something has to be done about the U.S. Senate.  If we can’t repeal the 17th Amendment then we must find other means to make them more accountable.  One way is to shorten their terms.  The other is to repeal Article 1 Section 6 [1] of the U.S. Constitution:

The Senators and Representatives shall receive a compensation for their services, to be ascertained by law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States.

We shall continue to pay the Representatives out of the U.S Treasury, but Senators will have their salaries ascertained and paid by their state’s legislature.  That is how we can ensure they vote in the interest of their state.  There is a precedent.  The following excerpt from The Five Royal Governors of North Carolina 1729 – 1775 demonstrates what happens to those who serve one master at the expense of the citizenry:

The most ever-present problem of his entire administration – and that of the other royal governors – was the problem of his salary.  As has been noted already, the governor was a royal agent, a servant of the King and his lieutenant in the colony.  As such he was not really responsible to the assembly or the people.  And yet he was dependent upon the colonial assembly for his salary.  It is easy to see what an effective weapon this could be:  either the governor signed assembly’s bills into law, however much they displeased him, or they withheld his salary.

Withhold a senator’s salary and we’ll see a change in attitude from these super-legislators.

Aesop Fable: The Democrat and the Lamb

It’s time to recognize the Democratic Party for what it is: a pack of wolves.  These tyrants prey upon the weak and vulnerable.  And for those who refuse to accept their policies, they dub as stupid and incompetent, and then they force their will upon us.  Little by little the Democrats devour our liberties.  Here is an Aesop fable that pertains to their ambitions.

A Wolf, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, decided not to attack the lamb, but to find some reason to justify to the Lamb why the Wolf had the right to eat him. So the Wolf said:

“Sir Lamb, last year you greatly insulted me.”

“But,” bleated the Lamb mournfully, “I was not born last year!”

Then the Wolf said, “You feed in my pasture.”

“No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.”

Again the Wolf said, “You drink water from my well.”

“No,” exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.”

Upon which the Wolf seized the Lamb and ate him up, saying, “Well! I won’t remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my accusations.”

Moral: The tyrant will always find a reason for his tyranny.

Federal Government Brats Get Paid Furloughs

It must be nice to be a federal government employee.  In addition to getting subsidized healthcare, attend seminars in exotic locations, along with generous paid vacations; they also get to sit on their asses with full pay and benefits during a supposed government shutdown.  Damn!  What am I doing in the private sector?

I’m self-employed.  If I don’t work, I don’t get paid.  On top of that, we suckers, have to justify our daily existence to government bureaucrats.  Many citizens are finding out just how far the federal government has permeated into our lives.  The Obama administration is utilizing the Park Service to harass and intimidate citizens who own a business or a nonprofit on or near federal land in an effort to shut them down.

Even the Grand Canyon, which has been around for millions of years, is being used for political purposes.  Hell, Obama is trying to shutdown the use of an ocean.  And we are going to allow these power hungry monsters to take over our health care?

The only way people are going to be safe from these government thugs is to become one themselves.  Just think of all the benefits we can get.

What Constitutes Treason?

ARTICLE III, SECTION 3

Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.  No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

A couple of weeks ago, a professor of journalism called for the suppression of the National Rifle Association, because he believes their rhetoric was treason, and anyone who supports  this organization is deserving of a fire squad.  This kind of sentiment is mainstream leftism.  Liberals look upon liberty loving citizens as the true enemy and they must stop us at all cost, even if it takes Abrams tanks and Hellfire missiles.
What constitutes treason?  According to the left, it is opposition to an all encompassing federal government.  Progressives, like the professor, applaud the dissolution of our founding principles.  They applaud the suppression of states’ rights and the inability to nullify unjust federal laws.  In their eyes, the collective reigns supreme, and we will adhere to their dictates.

As we’ve come to witness, progressives have taken over the federal bureaucracies.  They have the same attitude as the professor.  The IRS has targeted tea partiers and constitutionalist.  They muzzled these citizens through threats and intimidation, and in some cases confiscated property and shut down businesses.  Some were audited because they supported Mitt Romney.  This kind of harassment is not exclusive to the IRS, the EPA and other agencies have also violated the rights of those they deem political enemies.

What is disturbing is these agencies are arming themselves with the very weapons the progressives are trying to ban from the general public.  IRS agents are training with AR-15 rifles.  What does a revenue agency need with so-called assault weapons?  And to further emphasize that they see tea partiers as the enemy, Homeland Security funded training exercises targeting patriots.  Here is an excerpt from the Boston Globe:

The scenario had been carefully planned: A terrorist group prepared to hurt vast numbers of people around Boston would leave backpacks filled with explosives at Faneuil Hall, the Seaport District, and in other towns, spreading waves of panic and fear. Detectives would have to catch the culprits.

Months of painstaking planning had gone into the exercise, dubbed “Operation Urban Shield,” meant to train dozens of detectives in the Greater Boston area to work together to thwart a terrorist threat. The hypothetical terrorist group was even given a name: Free America Citizens, a home-grown cadre of militiamen whose logo would be a metal skull wearing an Uncle Sam hat and a furious expression, according to a copy of the plans obtained by the Boston Globe.

But two months before the training exercise was to take place, the city was hit with a real terrorist attack executed in a frighteningly similar fashion. The chaos of the Boston Marathon bombings disrupted plans for the exercise, initially scheduled for this weekend, forcing police to postpone. Now officials must retool aspects of the training.

“The real thing happened before we were able to execute,” said a law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the planned exercise. “We’ve already been tested.”

This would have been the third year for Urban Shield, a 24-hour federally funded training exercise meant to test the response of police and other public safety personnel in a large-scale emergency, such as a toxic spill or a natural disaster.

‘The main goal of this was to arrest as many of the people as possible and absolutely identify where the [supposed] cache of bombs was being kept.’

Last fall, a slew of agencies including Boston police and other police departments, the Coast Guard, and the MBTA joined forces to confront a simulated armed bank robbery in which the robbers were trying to escape with hostages.

For this year’s training, the agencies wanted to test the investigative skills of their detectives, as well as their ability to work with detectives in other cities, and share intelligence, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the planned exercise were confidential.

The training, funded by a $200,000 Homeland Security grant, will probably be rescheduled to early next year, said Transit Police Chief Paul MacMillan, whose agency was slated to participate.

It is quite clear that the federal government is unaccountable and out of control.  And most of this tyranny comes from the bureaucracies.  The Constitution specifically states that only Congress has the authority to introduce laws.  The progressives have circumvented this provision by establishing regulatory agencies.  These agencies pass mandates that have the force of law.  Clearly, this is a violation of our Constitution.

Many like to cite the Federalist when it comes to matters of the Constitution.  I like to cite the Anti-Federalist.  One of my favorites is Brutus.  He denied the ability of prophesy, but in his refutations he most certainly can be considered an oracle.  Here is an excerpt from essay #15:

I have, in the course of my observation on this constitution, affirmed and endeavored to shew, that it was calculated to abolish entirely the state governments, and to melt down the states into one entire government, for every purpose as well internal and local, as external and national. In this opinion the opposers of the system have generally agreed — and this has been uniformly denied by its advocates in public. Some individuals, indeed, among them, will confess, that it has this tendency, and scruple not to say, it is what they wish; and I will venture to predict, without the spirit of prophecy, that if it is adopted without amendments, or some such precautions as will ensure amendments immediately after its adoption, that the same gentlemen who have employed their talents and abilities with such success to influence the public mind to adopt this plan, will employ the same to persuade the people, that it will be for their good to abolish the state governments as useless and burdensome.

Perhaps nothing could have been better conceived to facilitate the abolition of the state governments than the constitution of the judicial. They will be able to extend the limits of the general government gradually, and by insensible degrees, and to accomodate themselves to the temper of the people. Their decisions on the meaning of the constitution will commonly take place in cases which arise between individuals, with which the public will not be generally acquainted; one adjudication will form a precedent to the next, and this to a following one. These cases will immediately affect individuals only; so that a series of determinations will probably take place before even the people will be informed of them. In the mean time all the art and address of those who wish for the change will be employed to make converts to their opinion. The people will be told, that their state officers, and state legislatures are a burden and expence without affording any solid advantage, for that all the laws passed by them, might be equally well made by the general legislature. If to those who will be interested in the change, be added, those who will be under their influence, and such who will submit to almost any change of government, which they can be persuaded to believe will ease them of taxes, it is easy to see, the party who will favor the abolition of the state governments would be far from being inconsiderable. — In this situation, the general legislature, might pass one law after another, extending the general and abridging the state jurisdictions, and to sanction their proceedings would have a course of decisions of the judicial to whom the constitution has committed the power of explaining the constitution. — If the states remonstrated, the constitutional mode of deciding upon the validity of the law, is with the supreme court, and neither people, nor state legislatures, nor the general legislature can remove them or reverse their decrees.

Had the construction of the constitution been left with the legislature, they would have explained it at their peril; if they exceed their powers, or sought to find, in the spirit of the constitution, more than was expressed in the letter, the people from whom they derived their power could remove them, and do themselves right; and indeed I can see no other remedy that the people can have against their rulers for encroachments of this nature. A constitution is a compact of a people with their rulers; if the rulers break the compact, the people have a right and ought to remove them and do themselves justice; but in order to enable them to do this with the greater facility, those whom the people chuse at stated periods, should have the power in the last resort to determine the sense of the compact; if they determine contrary to the understanding of the people, an appeal will lie to the people at the period when the rulers are to be elected, and they will have it in their power to remedy the evil; but when this power is lodged in the hands of men independent of the people, and of their representatives, and who are not, constitutionally, accountable for their opinions, no way is left to controul them but with a high hand and an outstretched arm.

New Hampshire Democrat Proclaims Jihad on Free Staters

A New Hampshire legislator is proposing a measure that would prohibit freedom loving Americans to more to her state, and make those who currently reside there, move out.  Basically, she wants to be Massachusetts.
State Rep. Cynthia Chase (Democrat of course) believes conservatives/libertarians are the biggest threat to the Granite State.  And her targeted nemesis is the Free State Project.  Here is her missive on a liberal website called Blue New Hampshire:

Free Staters Unwelcome Here
In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today. There is, legally, nothing we can do to prevent them from moving here to take over the state, which is their openly stated goal. In this country you can move anywhere you choose and they have that same right. What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict the "freedoms" that they think they will find here. Another is to shine the bright light of publicity on who they are and why they are coming. They can not put their ideology into our statutes unless we elect them in great enough numbers to take over our General Court. We have already seen them try during the last session of the General Court. Our last election was a repudiation of their extremism.

Here in Keene we had a couple show up on Central Square to take part in our weekly Saturday morning peace demonstration. In the course of the conversation they allowed that they were Free Staters considering moving to Keene. The folks on the Square told them in no uncertain terms not to do that because Free Staters are not welcome here. Cheshire County is a welcoming community but not to those whose stated goal is to move in enough ideologues to steal our state, and our way of life.
Ultimately the Free Staters want NH to be a platform state for them to export their views to the rest of the country. Some of these folks dress up pretty well, but if you check their website you will find that they are really wolves in sheep's clothing. The best strategy from my perspective is to keep shining a light on their views and activities and make it very plain that NH is not up for sale to any ideology. To ignore these people and hope they go away is a recipe for disaster.

Hell, I wish conservatives would implement a policy that would prohibit the statist from moving to our states.  Our problem is we love freedom.  Tyranny is not in our DNA.

Congratulations Democrats, U.S. Drops out of Top Ten in Economic Prosperity!

Congratulations Democrats, for the first time the United States has dropped out of the top ten in economic prosperity:
The London-based Think Tank Legatum Institute recently offered empirical evidence of what many Americans have been thinking lately. Our national well-being is slipping.

Over the past four years, prosperity has increased around the globe, while it has remained stagnant in the United States, the Legatum Institute reports. As a result, the Institute ranked the United States 12th out of 142 countries on its 2012 Prosperity Index, putting the country outside the top ten for the first time.

The Democratic Party and their propaganda machine, also known as the mainstream media, have done an outstanding job in brainwashing the American people. They have convinced the majority in this country that Washington D.C. can do a better job of running their lives, than they can.

Since the start of financial crisis and Great Recession, the typical American’s attitude has shifted, ever so subtly, away from a belief that free markets and entrepreneurship are central to economic prosperity.

As they put behind them a fractious presidential election in which the question of whether more regulation or freer markets was best way to revive American prosperity was prominent, the President and his advisors need to be cautious. They won because the American people favored more economic control rather than freer markets, but by the slimmest of margins; and the electorate remains highly polarized on the issue.

Let’s give a big round of applause to the statist.  We couldn’t have become a second rate country without you.
