Liberals Project their Character Traits onto Conservatives

Wow. The moonbats in the mainstream media have lost their minds. They can’t accept the fact they’ve been exposed for propagandist. What’s hilarious is they’re projecting their character traits upon conservatives who’re merely refuting their assertions. We have the facts and they have nothing but deceit and emotion.

The latest from the Charlotte Observer’s editorial board is hilarious. Isaac J. Bailey is in need of therapy and some heavy duty soul searching. I believe the diagnosis would be denial. Here is an excerpt from his emotional tirade:

Congratulations on your pyrrhic victories.

All it cost you was your integrity.

All you had to do was make a man who rose to national political prominence on open bigotry president of the United States.

And relinquish all credible claims of being the party of family values and faith.

And embrace policies that include stealing children from their parents, and maybe forever separating them.

And excuse a diabolical level of lying and misdirection.

And declare that morality and character and principles no longer matter.

You’ve mistaken bombast for bravery, cruelty for toughness, mockery as plain talk.

You’ve criminalized the desperation of the poor and oppressed and weaponized your fear.

You’ve demanded civil discourse in service of the uncivil and inhumane.

And you can’t even see it.

Was Mr. Bailey looking in the mirror when he wrote this screed? This is laughable. How dare this fool lecture us on morality and civil discourse when leftist all over the country are hunting and shouting down conservatives.

I don’t recall any moral outrage from the Charlotte Observer when the Obama administration wiped their ass on our Constitution and committed all sorts of felonies that we’re dealing with to this day. I guarantee you, hadn’t Donald Trump won the election we wouldn’t know about the crimes the Obama administration committed.

And how is it that Mr. Bailey can compartmentalize laws that were enacted during the Clinton administration and were practiced by Obama’s, but somehow demonizes President Trump. A liberal federal judge imposed this “consent decree” in 1997, whereby illegal alien families are to be separated. I didn’t hear this fool bitching about this then. And he dares lecture us on integrity?

I will agree with him on the following:

We are amid a reckoning. We are deciding who we want to be.

You must pick a side; each of us has to pick a side. None of us is exempt.

Choose wisely. But first make sure that decision is being made by the best part of you, not the worst.

My side believes in the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law; your’s is mob rule and the ends justifies the means.

Oh, there will be a day of reckoning, and I believe both sides are looking forward to it.

UNC Proposes Segregated College for Conservatives

Conservatives maybe the majority population in this country, but we are definitely a minority when it comes to the culture. We are well aware of the biases that face us on social media. Snowflake outlets employ tactics such as blacklisting, demonetization and shadow-banning. Popular sites are losing revenue because they refuse to conform to their Orwellian dystopia.

What can conservatives do about these thuggish attempts to curb free speech? Well, the obvious is to create search engines and other platforms that cater to our needs. A whole genre of conservative blogs and news outlets came into existence because of our frustration about a corrupt media that acted more as propaganda machine for the Democratic Party than as an honest purveyor of truth. Now look who’s complaining.

Conservatives are also sick and tired of paying tax dollars and tuition fees to an institution that indoctrinates their children to hate their country, culture and creed. Western civilization has been a boon to mankind and modernity, but that’s not what these Marxist professors spew on college campuses. Socialism is all the rage in academia while life, liberty and property are considered engines of greed and corruption. Something has to give and I believe it’s finally happening.

The News and Observer published an op-ed by a member of the UNC board of directors. Mr. Joe Knott has come to the conclusion that defenders of Western civilization need a separate college of their own. Here is an excerpt:

My proposal is that we establish at our flagship university an Honors College with the stated purpose of bringing to North Carolina the best, most respected and accomplished scholars in the world who love and defend Western civilization.

Once established in their own College, free from bureaucratic interference and control by the existing faculty, these scholars can articulately and respectfully begin the debate that has been missing. These scholars, without fear of having their classes disallowed, changed to include “approved” texts or forced to submit to majority norms, can teach and defend the glories and roots of Western civilization and culture as they see fit.

The existing faculty will continue to be free to criticize and teach the shortcomings and failures of our culture and will continue to propose what they consider to be better alternatives. The only difference is that no view on either side would go unchallenged.

The Honors College would be able to hire and fire, grant or deny tenure, accept or reject students according to the college’s own standards and judgments without any input, veto, or bureaucratic delay or control from the existing faculty. The new Honors College would have its own dean who would answer only to the provost.

Welcome to a new era of segregation. Today’s Left won’t allow a difference of opinion on their campus, so, we have to create our own. Even then, don’t expect these militant ideologues to leave conservatives alone. They cannot allow free thinkers to exist. What they demand is homogeneous thought whether we like it or not.

Conservative Faction Align with Progressives Against Convention of States

There seems to be a schism within conservative ranks over whether or not States should invoke Article V of the U.S. Constitution. We all recognize there is a problem with the federal government. We also recognize something has to be done about it. Some are willing to address these issues by shoring up the Constitution through the amendment process; others fear a runaway convention.

I personally don’t understand these fears. A runaway convention is not practical under the provisions therein. Each State’s General Assembly must provide their delegates with detailed instructions to which they cannot deviate. If these provisions pass the convention, each state must vote on each individual amendment. This is a very difficult process. Here is Article V:

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

There is a disinformation campaign on both the right and left as to the motives of the Convention of States Project. I am not a spokesperson, but I recognize the difficulty in this process and the necessity for reigning in a rogue judiciary, a negligent Congress, and a runaway administrative state. Hell, we are still dealing with the aftermath of the Obama regime. This country cannot afford another president with a callous disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law. What more of an incentive do we need?

There are strong forces that want to keep the status quo. Take a look at this cartoon. What does this imply? It implies that advocates for a convention of States are in league with George Soros. This cartoon is an absurdity. George Soros is trying to stop this movement. He is funding a redistricting campaign headed by Eric Holder. One of their goals is to wrest control from conservatives in states legislatures by using the courts. Does this sound like he’s in league with Mark Meckler and Senator Tom Coburn? Of course not.

Here is the Wicked Witch of Washington D.C. on the Convention of States Project:

All of those conservatives who are against the Convention of States Project need to recognize who they are aligned with on this issue. We almost lost our country to Washington D.C.; the status quo isn’t working.

A Disenfranchised Conservative in the State of North Carolina

Libtards and common sense mix as well as oil and water and that also sums up my emotions when I read their editorials; you can’t help but laugh and be angry at their nonsensical platitudes and conclusions. The liberal brain is without a doubt a dangerous and defective specimen.

A recent editorial published by the News and Observer is a case in point. Here we have a liberal editor spewing the usual talking points about voter suppression and disenfranchisement of blacks through redistricting. Only in the libtard world can redistricting be considered disenfranchisement.

The mental defective in this case, Gene Nichol, can’t understand why our General Assembly spent $7 million trying to protect their constitutionally mandated rights from a panel of politically motivated judges who are trying to force their master plan upon the citizens of North Carolina. Here is an excerpt:

I had thought maybe Lewis would begin by apologizing for costing the state what the Winston-Salem Journal reported last month to be north of $7 million in legal fees to defend his path-breaking experiments in electoral suppression. Alas, it was not to be.

Instead, he opened by blaming Obama. Really. For me, I missed the connection. Then I thought, maybe he meant he was so livid at having to countenance the likes of Holder and Obama for eight years, he simply had to do something. Denying North Carolina black folks their constitutional rights was the only thing close at hand.

Then Lewis turned to the “all they care about is electing Democrats” shtick. To be honest, at that point I momentarily lost consciousness.

Mr. Nichol, having read your editorial, it’s quite obvious you’ve never obtained consciousness. I have a question, how is mandating voter registration in a timely basis and showing voter ID considered suppression? As far as I’m concerned, if you’re that incompetent that you can’t follow these simple guidelines then you shouldn’t be voting. And since when has redistricting become a violation of constitutional rights?

If I were to follow the logic of this libtard, I too should be considered disenfranchised. I once resided in a conservative district until the General Assembly pushed my neighborhood out of the republican 9th and into the Marxist 12th.

Hey! I’ve been disenfranchised! My vote is being suppressed by a bunch of Marxist scumbags hellbent on deluding my vote! What about my rights? Where is my representation? Why is my voice not being heard?

Will conservatives get a sympathetic voice from the likes of a Gene Nichol? Will conservatives get the same amount of ink when their voices are suppressed by an army of lip-smacking teat squawkers? We all know the answer to that question.

San Fran Conservatives Stay in Closet for Fear of Liberals

Conservatives in San Francisco stay in the closet out of fear of being outed by “tolerant” liberals.

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) — Some East Bay conservatives say they live a secret life. They can never tell anyone what they really feel like in fear of their safety.

Robert Ward is coming out conservative, but in a place he says is risky for those who share his beliefs.
“If you witness what happened in Berkeley, actually they are so violent on top of it. I mean being a conservative in the Bay Area is like being a heretic,” says Ward. “You lead a double life. You can never tell your friends and co-workers.”

Welcome to liberal America.  And we’re the ones who are supposed to be intolerant?

Liberals Figure Out the Rural vs. Urban Divide

The New York Times finally published an insightful article on our great rural vs. urban divide.  I have to hand it to the writer, who just happens to be a libtard living amongst patriotic Americans, on his grasp of the values that distinguish Republicans from Democrats.

How many times have we heard progressives like Barack Obama and Senator Chuck E. Schumer lecture us on our common, American values?  I laugh out loud when I hear this crap.  What values do these people have that is comparable to ours?  I say very little if nothing at all, and so does the liberal who wrote this op-ed.  Here is an excerpt:

Knoxville, Iowa — One recent morning, I sat near two young men at a coffee shop here whom I’ve known since they were little boys. Now about 18, they pushed away from the table, and one said: “Let’s go to work. Let the liberals sleep in.” The other nodded.

They’re hard workers. As a kid, one washed dishes, took orders and swept the floor at a restaurant. Every summer, the other picked sweet corn by hand at dawn for a farm stand and for grocery stores, and then went to work all day on his parents’ farm. Now one is a welder, and the other is in his first year at a state university on an academic scholarship. They are conservative, believe in hard work, family, the military and cops, and they know that abortion and socialism are evil, that Jesus Christ is our savior, and that Donald J. Trump will be good for America.

They are part of a growing movement in rural America that immerses many young people in a culture — not just conservative news outlets but also home and church environments — that emphasizes contemporary conservative values. It views liberals as loathsome, misinformed and weak, even dangerous.

That pretty much sums it up.  However, I would emphasize the word, dangerous.  Conservatives have known this for decades.  We also know what liberals think about us.  So this article is really not a revelation.  What’s surprising is they’re just now figuring it out for themselves.

The Death of Journalism in an Age of Aggressive Liberalism

The lamentations of a bygone era when journalism was an objective and respected profession have reached its zenith in an age of aggressive liberalism.  You can’t help get soaked by crocodile tears bubbling up from the editorial pages in both national and local newspapers.  Leftist pundits are wondering if we, as a people, are capable of a dialogue.  The answer is no.

Leonard Pitts, Jr. opined on the right vs. left schism in the United States.  If his op-ed was an attempt at starting a dialogue, it sure as hell missed the mark.  Here is an excerpt:

That’s one example: There are others. But instead of calling out biases in the mainstream media structure or simply creating a parallel media structure to tell their side of the story as women, African-Americans, LGBTQ people and other marginalized communities have done, conservatives sought instead to raze mainstream media to the ground.

Sykes, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others advanced a narrative in which no institution or authoritative source — not statistics, not science, not history, not polls, not CBS, CNN, The Miami Herald, or The New York Times — is legitimate if it contradicts conservative orthodoxy or simply questions the latest harebrained conspiracy theory.

The result has been nothing less than the unraveling of the American mind. We have become a nation of junk history, junk science, junk fact, junk logic, junk thought, a nation where not knowing things is no longer a bar to high office and may even be an advantage, a nation where it is necessary to debate whether a birth certificate is really a birth certificate and Donald Trump followers think the election will be “rigged.”

First of all, we have been calling out the biases of the mainstream media for decades.  Second, conservatives have created an alternative media.  I’m surprised Mr. Pitts is unaware of it.  Third, we are razing the mainstream media to ground.  But I assure you, it wasn’t us who lit the match.  And finally, the sources Mr. Pitts cited are no longer an authoritative source, or a respected institution.  Progressives saw to that.

Mr. Pitts is right in one sense: A generation of Americans have come of age in ignorance, intransigence, and incoherence as their daily norm.  I call that the Age of Obama.  Be sure to check your underwear before entering a public bathroom.

March of the Beltway Courtesans

The long train of beltway courtesans waddling and squawking about Donald Trump confirms everything Americans thought about Washington D.C. insiders.  These scoundrels are content with the corruption and the centralization of power as long as they’re members of the cocktail party circuit.

I’m not a fan of Donald Trump by any means, but I sure as hell will not vote for the Clintons.  My God!  Their corruption is legendary.  How can any conscientious American sit by and let those two regain power is beyond me.

How many times have the rank and file been told to suck it up and vote for the likes of a John McCain, Mitt Romney or a Bob Dole?  I despise John McCain, yet I swallowed my pride and voted for Sarah Palin.  Why can’t they do the same thing?

The fact is these people are contemptuous of the Tea Party.  They don’t like plebeian uprisings and that is what Trump’s candidacy is all about.  Trump wasn’t recruited, groomed and brought up through the ranks by party insiders.  He bypassed their cliques and bosses.  And because of that, established cronies are worried they might not have access to power and the public treasury.

So-called conservatives like George Will have left the Republican Party because of Donald Trump.  That’s interesting.  I consider myself a conservative and have never joined the Republican Party because of people like George Will.

George Will is a sanctimonious ass who believes his particular brand of D.C. conservatism is “Madisonian.”  Compromise is how to get things done even if it’s unconstitutional.  That’s why Ronald Reagan didn’t cut the mustard with this beltway courtesan.  Here is an excerpt from Mr. Will’s 1974 Washington Post article on Reagan’s challenge to President Ford in 1976:

But Reagan is 63 and looks it. His hair is still remarkably free of gray. But around the mouth and neck he looks like an old man. He’s never demonstrated substantial national appeal, his hard core support today consists primarily of the kamikaze conservatives who thought the 1964 Goldwater campaign was jolly fun.   And there’s a reason to doubt that Reagan is well suited to appeal to the electorate that just produced a Democratic landslide. If a Reagan third party would just lead the ‘Nixon was lynched’ crowd away from the Republican Party and into outer darkness where there is a wailing and gnashing of teeth, it might be at worst a mixed course for the Republican Party. It would cost the party some support, but it would make the party seem cleansed.

Donald Trump is by no means a conservative, but at least he might cleanse the Republican Party of beltway courtesans who whore themselves to a town for a few pieces of silver and a weekly column in the Washington Post.

A National Debate on the 14th Amendment is Long Overdue

This country is in need of a long debate about the 14th Amendment.  Activist judges have used the equal protection clause as a cudgel to impose their political biases upon the American people.  They set precedent and build upon it to the point where the original intent has been obfuscated in a cloud of judicial decrees.

No one can deny the equal protection clause was meant to protect ex-slaves and their progeny.  This was, after all, a post-Civil War amendment.  But the federal courts have completely bastardized the 14th to a point where they have dictated our immigration policy.  Our illegal alien invasion is due to Supreme Court rulings such as birth right citizenship and mandating States educate illegal alien children.

Now our First Amendment rights are under attack by black robed thugs.  Christians can no longer practice their faith outside of home and church.  A whole slew of grievance mongers have obtained protected class status.  Now, people of faith who own a business will be forced to participate in homosexual marriages.  Was that the original intent of the authors of the 14th Amendment?  I don’t think so!

Are we a constitutional republic or a judicial oligarchy?  We’re supposed to have a federalist system that defines the roles of state and federal governments.  That has been discarded.  We are now in a post-constitutional era; an era where States are vassals to the federal ummah.

Many believe this ideological divide is just between liberals and conservatives.  Libertarians also have an expansive view on the role of the judiciary.  Damon Root of Reason Magazine stated the following on Carolina Journal Radio:

Root: Well, there’s very much an alliance between libertarians and conservatives that’s ongoing right now. But there is this fundamental disagreement, and when I say conservatives, I’m really referring to the Robert Bork school of legal conservatism that puts great emphasis on judicial deference. In his book, The Tempting of America, Robert Bork wrote, “In wide areas of life, majorities are entitled to rule if they wish, simply because they are majorities.”

And he called that the first principle of our system, and the libertarian response is, well, the first principle is individual rights, and majority rule comes second. Those visions don’t clash in every case, but in some very fundamental ways, they really are at odds. So we see this alliance holding together sometimes but then really butting heads other times.

Kokai: Reason magazine, for those who are unfamiliar, is a libertarian magazine, so I would suspect that you and folks who work with you would like to see the courts be active when it comes to protecting these individuals rights, rather than just defer to the lawmaking braches.

Root: The libertarian legal view is basically that the Constitution is a liberty document. It protects a broad range of individual rights, both written down in the Constitution, but then also unemunerated rights, and that also the Constitution places strict limits on government power. And libertarians very much want to see the courts act as a check on the other branches of government and really have a fundamental problem with Bork’s framing of majority rule first above individual rights.

There is also the federalist view which is the Constitution enumerates the powers of the federal government, anything beyond that is left up to the States, hence, the 10th Amendment.  Libertarians seem to have a problem with that.

Republicans Dissatisfied with Republican Party

Hold the presses!  Mainstream media has discovered republican voters are dissatisfied with the Republican Party!

Wait a minute.  They attribute this to the presidential campaign?  USA Today reported the following:

The already raucous Republican presidential campaign may be hurting the party’s brand.

Only 32% of respondents said they had a favorable opinion on the Republican Party in a new Pew Research Center poll published Thursday — the lowest number Pew has reported at any point since 1992, though there have been a couple of 33% ratings during that time. The party is viewed unfavorably by 60% of respondents, again the party’s worst score.
The results mark a steep drop for the party since the start of the year. In January, Pew found that 41% of poll respondents had a favorable view of the GOP, while 53% were unfavorable.
Oddly, the biggest drop in GOP favorability is among Republicans.

This has nothing to do with the republican primary.  Conservatives have been fed up for a long time.  Establishment republicans have been playing us for a bunch of suckers for years.  This poll is a reflection of dissatisfaction with the inertia and lies of a party that has embraced big government without having the balls to admit it.

Salon Libtards Upset Conservative Polygamist Demand Rights

Who are we to judge when it comes to love?  That’s what gay activist and their liberal accomplices said to conservatives when we opposed same-sex marriage.  Libtards pooh-poohed our admonitions that the Supreme Court’s ruling would open the door for polygamy, bestiality and all sorts of perversions that the unstable and mentally insane can dream up.  Well, we warned you.

The writers at Salon.com are now the arbiters of what constituents love and marriage.  To them, it’s alright if gay people can marry, but not okay for a conservative to marry two consenting women.  Here is their snarky riposte:

Well, conservatives, here it is, just as you predicted. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria... And on cue, here comes Nathan Collier — a man who describes himself on Facebook as “an American, conservative, Constitutionalist, capitalist, (formerly) Christian, heterosexual middle aged white male of Southern heritage” — and his lovely two brides Victoria and Christine, asking for official recognition of their union. Coming soon: Cat ladies applying for marriage licenses!

And this:

If you want to argue that polygamy and marriage equality are the same thing, well, they’re not. If you want respect for how consenting adults arrange their households, though, you’ve got it. That does not however mean that because one group that has fought for friggin’ decades for basic recognition and respect finally has achieved something, that every fringe group — and yeah, sister wife families, you are fringe — gets a piece of the action too.

Actually, polygamy has been around for thousands of years from Abraham and Charlemagne right up to modern day in some cultures.  Same-sex marriage is a recent invention.  Polygamists have more of a claim on marriage than Dick and Harry.

The Hunt for Conservative Americans

When Barack Obama promised to transform the United States, I initially thought it was just a bunch of pabulum all politicians spew during the course of a campaign.  I was wrong.  During his tenure as president, this country has changed into something that is anything but American.  What’s happening is something we’d see in the Third World.

Progressives have claimed open season on conservatives.  Anyone who disagrees with these totalitarians will face their wrath.  As far as they’re concerned, conservatives have no rights.    We’ve already witnessed federal bureaucrats harass and intimidate Tea Party activist for having the audacity to participate in the political process.  Even the courts have become politicized.  Progressive jurist are forcing Christian business owners to participate in gay weddings or shut their doors.

The great hunt is on.

Democrats in the state of Wisconsin have taken notice.  Conservatives in the “cradle of progressivism” have had their homes and livelihoods turned upside down by  corrupt “public servants” hell bent on intimidating political opponents.   National Review has an in depth article on the abuse of power by District Attorney General John Chisholm and Judge Barbara Kluka.  These people must be prosecuted.

This is a must read.

FEC to Harass Conservatives on the Internet

Do we have rogue regulatory agencies?  The answer is an emphatic, yes!  These bureaucracies thumb their noses at the American people and our representatives.  They don't have to go through the legislative process and therefore are unaccountable for passing rules and regulations that have the force of law.  These agencies are making a mockery of our federalist system and our constitutional process.

What is the latest outrage?  The FEC has proposed new rules that would punish political speech on the internet.  The Washington Examiner reported the following:

Claiming that thousands of public comments condemning “dark money” in politics can’t be ignored, the Democrat-chaired Federal Election Commission on Wednesday appeared ready to open the door to new regulations on donors, bloggers and others who use the Internet to influence policy and campaigns.

During a broad FEC hearing to discuss a recent Supreme Court decision that eliminated some donor limits, proponents encouraged the agency to draw up new funding disclosure rules and require even third-party internet-based groups to reveal donors, a move that would extinguish a 2006 decision to keep the agency’s hands off the Internet.

So let’s get this straight.  The FEC can draw up rules without the consent of Congress and in direct defiance of a Supreme Court ruling, not to mention violate the tenets of the First Amendment.  They can do this because 32,000 liberal activists demanded the FEC do something about “dark money.”

Let’s face it.   Liberals want to silence conservative bloggers and news aggregators, and they don’t care how it’s done.

Conservatives Right Again on Extended Unemployment Benefits

A day barely goes by without an example where a conservative assertion is vindicated and a liberal idea crashes and burns.  Does anyone remember the debate about extended unemployment benefits for the recalcitrant?  Oh yeah, tea partiers and conservatives were called heartless bastards by every newspaper editor across the country.  We were accused of stealing food out of the mouths of children and throwing people out on the streets.

How dare we demand people get a job in an economy like this?  Well guess what?  The job creation rate Barack Obama took credit for had nothing to do with his policies.  It happened because we took away the teat.  The Washington Examiner reported the following:

Sixty percent of job creation in 2014 was caused by the expiration of unemployment benefits, according to a new working paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

In late 2013, a standoff between Republicans and Democrats led to the abrupt expiration of long-term unemployment benefits. Democrats warned that the expiration would have disastrous ramifications, but Republicans had long argued that allowing Americans to collect unemployment benefits for an indefinite period of time provided a disincentive for them to work.

The new new working paper found that the expiration of benefits was responsible for the creation of over 1.8 million jobs. Nearly 1 million of those jobs were created by workers who would have otherwise stayed out of the labor force if unemployment benefits had been extended. Overall, almost 3 million jobs were created in 2014

“The negative effects of unemployment benefit extensions on employment far outweighs the potential stimulative effects often ascribed to this policy,” the study said.

It found that "the dominant impact of the benefit cut on employment was not driven by a contraction in the labor force —unemployed dropping out of the labor force because they were no longer entitled to benefits — but instead by those previously not participating in the labor market deciding to enter the labor force."

So 60% of job creation was caused by people getting off the public dole and getting a job.  Well, who’d a thought that?  Not the Observers that infest the state of North Carolina.  Here is an excerpt from the News and Observer:

The unemployed searching in a still tight job market will have less time to find a job in their field or one that suits their skills. When their shrunken unemployment checks run out, they’ll have to take whatever job they can find, usually at a pay level well below what they previously earned.

This is a Dickensian level of callousness toward North Carolinians facing an income crisis, but what makes it particularly irksome is that Republicans are hailing it as a jobs program. In July 2013, Republican lawmakers began punishing the jobless who were fortunate enough to qualify for unemployment benefits. The federal government was offering to pay for extended unemployment benefits so long as states didn’t change their unemployment programs. North Carolina’s lawmakers changed the program anyway, cutting off about 70,000 people from the federal benefits. North Carolina was the only state to do so.

And this one:

Surely there are some in the tea party movement who have at one time been unexpectedly unemployed or have known people who were. And yet the “movement,” such as it is, continues to lead the Republican Party down a hard-line and, yes, hard-hearted path.

Specifically, tea partyers don’t like a federal program that extended unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed. The anti-attitude was that people were goofing off and not looking for work because they could stay on the unemployment compensation dole. In North Carolina, Republican legislators altered the benefits, lowering the time people could receive help and cutting the maximum payment, on the misguided logic that if people ran out of benefits, they’d be more motivated to seek work.

It looks like they were motivated to seek work!  Is that Dickensian?  I would say more like Ayn Randian.  How many strikes does it take for a liberal to admit they are constantly wrong?  Definitely, not three.

The Orange Man Cryeth!

Speaker John Boehner decried the moniker bestowed upon him by conservatives.  A title he richly deserves after shoving CRomnibus down our throats.

“During my years here when I voted, I had the eighth most conservative voting record in the Congress,” Boehner said Thursday, rebutting the conservative criticism. “And it does pain me to be described as spineless or a squish.”

“And I tell you what pains me the most is when they describe me as the establishment,” Boehner continued. “Now, I’m the most anti-establishment speaker we’ve ever had.”

“Who was the guy that got rid of earmarks?” the Ohio Republican said. “Whose the guy who believes in regular order? Me. Who believes in allowing more members to participate in the process from both sides of the aisle? Me. I’m pretty comfortable in my own skin. And I’m going to do my best to show all of our members, Democrats and Republicans, and those members who voted against me, that I’m up to the job I was given.”

Here is what one democrat had to say about Boehner’s CRomnibus:

Retiring representative Jim Moran (D., Va.) says that Democrats got “virtually everything” they wanted in the cromnibus package that’s going to a vote in the House tonight, as he praised the bill in terms that could double as the conservative critique of the legislation.

Moran says that “the Republicans are indicating they need 80 Democrats” and he’s frustrated that Democrats won’t provide the votes.

“In 20 years of being on the appropriations [committee], I haven’t seen a better compromise in terms of Democratic priorities. Implementing the Affordable Care Act, there’s a lot more money for early-childhood development — the only priority that got cut was the EPA but we gave them more money than the administration asked for,” Moran told reporters Thursday evening after exiting a Democratic caucus meeting in which White House chief of staff Denis McDonough tried to convince members to back the bill.

When Democrats praise you, there’s a problem!

Kudos to the 25 congressmen who voted against the orange man.  There should have been more.  It just goes to show you how much of a stranglehold the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other special interest have on Capitol Hill.

Just Who is Gruber the Grafter Calling Stupid?

Can the mainstream media get anything right?  They’ve been wrong on so many levels it has become a threat to our republic.  Case in point is Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post.  He recently wrote an article trying to figure out why conservatives have gone cat nip crazy over Gruber the Grafter, the Obamacare architect and mind poisoner at MIT.   This beltway courtesan thinks we are personally insulted by Gruber’s ‘stupid’ remarks.  Here is an excerpt:

The key to understanding why Gruber has become a cause celebre -- but not in a good way -- for conservatives is that his comments about the ACA confirm two things that the right has long believed about Democrats and the law: (a) The ACA was made purposely vague to keep the public in the dark about its depth and breadth, and (b) liberals think conservatives are stupid.

And this:

The second point is slightly more subtle but, I think, even more responsible for why Gruber and his comments have conservatives seeing red. Nothing makes conservatives more angry than the belief, which they think is widespread among liberals, that they are stupid. That if only conservatives read as much as the left or had the intellectual capacity of the left, they would see things the way the left sees them

First of all, the ACA was shoved down our throats.  That is indisputable.  However, to assume that conservatives are mad as hell about Gruber calling us stupid has missed the mark.  I’ve got news for you Mr. Cillizza.  Gruber wasn’t calling conservatives stupid.  We’ve been warning the American people about the ACA from the very beginning.  We knew democrats were/are a bunch of liars, thieves, and hypocrites for ages.  No.  Gruber was calling you and anyone who votes for democrats stupid.  And he is right.

Gruber let the cat out of the bag by telling his fellow elites that you and your fellow libtards couldn’t handle the truth.  We conservatives suspected what was happening and we didn’t fall for it.  You and your ilk are the ones Gruber called ‘stupid.’

There isn’t one conservative I know who concedes intellectual superiority to the left.  Actually, it’s just the opposite.  And we don’t have to hide behind closed doors to smirk about your stupidity.  We’ll do it to your face.  To say conservatives are insecure about their intellect says more about the wishful thinking by liberals whose beliefs and policies have been proven wrong time after time.  Obamacare and Jon Gruber is just a cherry on top.

Conservative vs. Liberal Brains

If you've talked to a liberal, and I'm sure you have,  the experience without a doubt was perplexing and disturbing.  I bet you asked yourself, ' How can there be such a disconnect from reality?'

Well, the Peoples Cube answered that for us.  It's all in brain development.  Above is the superior conservative brain.  Click the link below to view the scary, deformed liberal brain.

NC General Assembly's Conservative vs. Republican Conundrum

The debate on the role of government isn’t isolated to the Kingdom of Washington D.C.  That question extends to states and local communities.  North Carolina’s General Assembly is in the midst of this conundrum.  The GOP dominated legislature is convulsing under an age old dilemma.  Should they act like conservatives or establishment republicans?

RALEIGH, N.C. — A disagreement between Republican lawmakers about their goals and the role of government is adding to the extended wrangling over the final few measures before the North Carolina General Assembly decides when to shut down for the year.

Legislators grappled again Monday with a multi-part measure that includes county sales taxes, tax benefits for a Haywood County paper mill, expanded tax breaks for new businesses and a proposed $20 million fund to lure manufacturers with upfront cash.

The Senate has insisted on House passage of the bill before it will allow a fix to a problem in the state budget Gov. Pat McCrory signed last week that threatens to force layoffs of classroom teaching assistants.

Republicans command large legislative majorities. GOP lawmakers meeting in committee disagreed over whether the sprawling bill fosters corporate welfare or encourages jobs, and whether it limits county sales taxes or prompts them to rise. Dissident Republicans last week defied House leaders and fought against bringing the bill to a vote.

The measure places a 2.5 percent cap on county sales taxes, with some exceptions for four urban counties. Wake, Mecklenburg, Forsyth and Guilford counties could increase to 2.75 percent if voters approve.  But some Republicans worried the measure would increase the likelihood that county commissioners elsewhere will seek to raise their sales taxes to the cap. That could be viewed as GOP lawmakers violating their anti-tax principals, said Rep. Mike Stone, R-Lee.

"That's an issue for sure," he said.

First of all, why is the General Assembly involved in county sales taxes?  If individual counties want to screw their citizens, that’s their business.  And isn’t crony capitalism a democratic play?  Why should established businesses fund their competitors with their taxes? Isn’t that perverse?  I thought we got rid of that kind of corruption?

Is there a difference between conservatives and republicans?  You bet there is.
