NYC "No KSM In Our Backyard"

The Obama administration decided not to try KSM in New York City. Is anybody surprised by this? My question is: where was the outrage a year ago?

An election in Massachusetts took the blinders off of the ideologues. The first to figure it out was New York City’s Mayor McSalt Shaker; then the rest of the rats scampered. The biggest, sh**house rat -- Chucky Cheese Schumer -- led the lemmings from the flaming stench. Obama was left behind, to stomp out the bag on the front porch. What a fiasco.

When 9/11 happened Chuck Schumer was dedicated to military tribunals. He made an impassioned plea that those responsible for the attacks on our homeland, should not be given the rights of civilians; but rather, be treated as enemy combatants. Here is the transcript from a judicial hearing:

There are also those prisoners of war who we have captured and will capture in Afghanistan and other countries who will receive a trial of some sort. It is clear we need to try those suspects in a forum that achieves two primary goals—two goals, I might add, that may not conflict. First, the Government must have the power to use even the most sensitive classified evidence against these suspects without compromising national security in any way, shape, or form. In addition, those who commit acts of war against the United States, particularly those who have no color of citizenship, don’t deserve the same panoply of due process rights that American citizens receive. Should Osama bin Laden be captured alive—and I imagine most Americans hope he won’t be captured alive. But if he is, it is ludicrous to suggest he should be tried in a Federal court on Center Street in Lower Manhattan

It took Chucky only one election cycle to change his mind; and confer constitutional privileges onto foreign terrorist. This is an unprincipled man who has no honor.

Now, let’s look at those who have kept Chucky in power.

New Yorkers are not upset that terrorist are given civilian trials. They don’t mind that constitutional rights and privileges are being conferred upon enemies, who would just as soon slit their throats. No…this is their concern, as quoted from the Washington Examiner:

“New Yorkers aren’t stupid,” said Hank Sheinkopf, a Democratic political consultant who advised Bill Clinton in 1996, and worked for Mayor Bloomberg’s 2009 reelection bid.

“Wall Street is being attacked by Obama, which means New York jobs are being attacked,” he said. “And putting the terrorist trial in NYC when it could be held any other place in the country is another form of attack. They could have put it in Montana.”

Oh yeah, and this:

The trial would create a “fortress-like perimeter” that “will deter many visitors from shopping in the area,” said Democratic Rep. Nydia Velázquez, whose district includes parts of lower Manhattan, in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking that the trial be moved.

So New Yorkers don’t want to be inconvenienced, or have to pay for anything. It’s alright if Montana gets screwed, or for that fact anybody else; just as long as it’s not them.

Gitmo can handle these trials with the minimum amount of cost and inconvenience. But New Yorkers want to make sure these poor unfortunates get a “fair” trial. After all, we don't want to diminish our standing in the world, for we really care what they think.

Well how fair of a trial are they going to get, when the Obama guaranteed a conviction? How is the rest of the world supposed to take that?

If you want to sing “We are the World” do it on your own damn dime.
