Socialists and Other Grotesque Ingrates | Thomas E. Woods, Jr.

Socialists are ingrates.  These people have no idea what's going on in the rest of the world.  And what really bothers me are people who come here from third-world countries who know what hellholes they escaped from, and haven't learned why our culture and economic system has bestowed upon us unfathomable prosperity.

Some of the biggest ingrates in the House of Representatives are from Puerto Rico and immigrants from Muslim countries.

2020 Census: Nightmare Fuel for Democrats

Democrats have sold their souls for money and power.  Citizenship and the rule of law mean nothing to these people.

N.C. Teachers Skip School for Marxist Holiday

May Day is a notorious holiday. Marxist all over the world will take time off from work to celebrate and/or protest perceived slights, but more importantly make demands on stingy taxpayers. Let’s face the facts, the people who participate in these events are a bunch of entitled thumbsuckers who make a better living than the average citizen. But hey, try telling that to people who have victim mentalities.

Thousands of North Carolina teachers are skipping school, with pay, I’m sure:

Organizers say they expect the crowd to be at least as large as last year’s protest, when an estimated 19,000 people marched on the Capitol.

This year, at least 30 of the state’s 115 school districts have canceled classes on May 1 because so many teachers and other school employees have requested the day off.

On Wednesday, Triangle teachers talked about why they’re marching on lawmakers again. They said issues such as expanding Medicaid funding and providing more counselors and social workers are what students need and deserve.

“We hope that every parent, student and community supporter would join us on May 1st for a hands-on, real-life lesson in democracy,” said Kristin Beller, president of Wake NCAE.

When I was growing up, the goal was to be a productive citizen by having a job and staying off Medicaid. And I sure don’t recall needing counselors and social workers while attending school.

You want to know why children can’t read? It’s because they attend government schools filled with Marxist teachers. It didn’t use to be that way.

N.C. Democrats Introduce Bill to Join National Popular Vote Compact

Liberals are always looking for ways to win elections whether it be hook, crook or judiciary. Their latest scheme is to force so-called purple states to sign away their Electoral College votes by becoming signatories to the National Popular Vote Compact.

The national popular vote may sound good, that is until people find out their state voted for the other guy. Take for instance, the last election, Hillary Clinton won the national popular vote, however, North Carolina overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump. Our Electoral College votes would’ve went to Crooked Hillary!

Had that scenario happened, I guarantee you there would be people out for blood. We’re not talking about secession. We’re talking full-out revolution and all those scumbags in Washington D.C. had better head for the cities because that’s the only refuge these people will find.

Here are the state senators in North Carolina who introduced a bill to betray their fellow citizens:

State senators Wiley Nickel (D-Wake), Jay J. Chaudhuri (D-Wake), and Joyce Waddell (D-Mecklenburg) have sponsored S104, a bill that would require North Carolina to join the “National Popular Vote” interstate compact.

I have no doubt these people are from Charlotte and the Raleigh-Durham area and anyone who lives in North Carolina knows these people don’t have our best interest at heart.

Writing Europeans Out of Their Own History

I noticed this in a couple of movies.  I realize that some of the best roles in theater and cinema are based upon famous European events and characters, but that's no excuse to distort history. PBS's did the same thing with Victor Hugo's, Les Miserables.

Is there such a thing as European cultural appropriation? There is a big difference from eating tacos to expunging white people from their own history.

Biden 2020: A Man with Hands-on Experience

A Night at the Schleprock Correspondents Dinner

Apparently, the White House Correspondents Dinner was last night. Did anyone watch it? I sure as hell didn’t. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know it was on, and I don’t care.

Who wants to watch a bunch of self-important twits with their “woe is me” complaints? These Schleprocks created their own storm clouds. We have put up with their left-wing propaganda and outright hostility to the American creed for decades. But they want to blame their current condition on President Trump. Here is an excerpt from the lead punk of the White House Correspondents Association:

“I don’t want to dwell on the president,” Knox said while discussing President Trump. “This is not his dinner. It’s ours, and it should stay ours. But I do want to say this. In nearly 23 years as a reporter I’ve been physically assaulted by Republicans and Democrats, spat on, shoved, had crap thrown at me. I’ve been told I will never work in Washington again by both major parties.”

“And yet I still separate my career to before February 2017 and what came after,” Know continued. “And February 2017 is when the president called us the enemy of the people. A few days later my son asked me, ‘Is Donald Trump going to put you in prison?” At the end of a family trip to Mexico he mused if the president tried to keep me out of the country, at least Uncle Josh is a good lawyer and will get you home.”

Journalists in the Trump era are under physical threat, Knox said somberly.

“I’ve had to tell my family not to touch packages on our stoop,” he told the crowd. “My name is on a statement criticizing the president for celebrating a congressman’s criminal assault on a reporter. I’ve had death threats, including one this week. Too many of us have. It shouldn’t need to be said in a room full of people who understand the power of words but fake news and enemies of the people are not punch lines, pet names or presidential. And we should reject politically expedient assaults on the men and women whose hard work makes it possible to hold the powerful to account."

Wousy-wousy-woe is me.

Liberal Judges: Bill of Rights Don't Apply to Republicans

Elections have consequences unless you’re a Democrat. It doesn’t matter if they lose, Democrats will find ways to exercise power by hook, crook or judiciary. We found that out in North Carolina, and now, it’s Michigan’s turn.

What we are witnessing is a cabal of black-robed thugs who are denying states their constitutional prerogatives to establish congressional districts. Gerrymandering is not unconstitutional; only the time, manner and place can be regulated by Congress. No where does the court have jurisdiction over these matters.

We are under assault by a federal judiciary that has no bounds. They are dictating policy while ignoring statutes that clearly contradict their rulings. Now, they wish to fix elections by redrawing districts. And what is their excuse? Here is an excerpt from the Daily Caller:

The court founded that Michigan’s gerrymandered lines violate on First Amendment rights of Democratic voters. First, they infringe on the right to association, since rigged district lines diminish incentives for like-minded people to cooperate for campaigning and electioneering. Second, the gerrymandered maps amount to retaliation, since the legislature is punishing certain communities based on their past political choices.

The panel cited private communications between Republican legislators, aides, and mapmakers as proof of the GOP’s objective to punish Democratic voters. Among other pieces of evidence, one GOP aide urged colleagues to “cram Dem garbage” into a handful of districts.

“The breadth of evidence of discriminatory intent, from these multifarious sources, renders Senate intervenors’ ‘legislative intent’ argument meritless,” Clay wrote.

First of all, the Bill of Rights was established to protect states and their citizens from an abusive central government and that includes the federal judiciary.

Notice how these judges aren’t concerned about Republicans freedom of association. I, for one, can attest to that. I was once in a conservative district until a cabal of black-robed thugs forced their gerrymandered maps on us. Now, I have a Marxist for a congresswoman. What about my freedom of association? Am I not harmed by a judicially imposed gerrymander?

I must ask, does the Bill of Rights protect Republicans from an abusive judiciary? The answer is an obvious, NO!

The Church of Global Warming's "Great Disappointment"

Believe! All great religions are based on the premise they are right and others are wrong. Faith enables one to fearlessly dance with snakes, while casting a disapproving eye on the unbelievers. The only venom to fear is your common sense. Join the dance, or perish in a hellish fire of your own making!

Well, I don’t dance with snakes and I sure as hell don’t subscribe to this man-made global warming nonsense. The historical record is replete with catastrophic climate change. Libtards, however, believe history started on the day of their birth, or at least, with the advent of the industrial revolution. Within my own lifetime, we’ve had Chicken Littles running around decrying the end of civilization as we know it. Here is an excerpt from PJ Media:

There is a lot of unclassified baloney as well. The American Enterprise Institute compiled a list of 18 predictions made around the time of Earth Day in 1970 which forecast that the world should have ended by now.

Harvard biologist George Wald estimated that “civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” ...

“Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born,” wrote Paul Ehrlich in a 1969 essay titled “Eco-Catastrophe! “By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” ...

Kenneth Watt warned about a pending Ice Age in a speech. “The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years,” he declared. “If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.”

Unlike narratives rooted in secret, estimates of this sort derive most of their authority from virtue. Their legitimacy comes from noble intentions, from pleas to save the planet. The falsity of those 1970 predictions is inconsequential. Today there are many more successor predictions and insofar as their adherents are concerned, all of them are true.

Climate change is a religion to these people. At what point in time will they put down the snakes and reflect upon their stupidity?

I’m reminded of the Millerites in the 19th century. Their leader, William Miller, prophesied the second coming on October 22, 1844. Maybe if Mr. Miller had access to today’s technology, he could’ve produced a computer model that was more accurate. He could’ve learned a thing or two from today’s proselytizers with their 10 to 12 year, fire and brimstone scenarios. However, I doubt Mr. Miller would have finagled his numbers to suit his needs; he was a true believer and these so-called scientist are definitely not.

The Millerites learned their lesson. They looked upon this moment as “The Great Disappointment” and reformed their church. One must wonder if today’s climatologist are capable of such discernment.

Medicare-for-All: The Audacity of Stupid

I didn’t have a problem with health care until the federal government fixed it. For decades, we were told by Washington D.C., and their liberal shock troops, that cost were too high and our insurance was junk. Well, these geniuses put an end to that, didn’t they? Now, our deductibles have trebled, and premiums for some families cost as much as their mortgages. Let’s give a big hand to our lords and masters; these people sure no how to fix things. Boy, I can’t wait for Medicare-for-all.

Talk about fixing things, Rep. Maxine Waters chaired a hearing on student loan debt. She then lectured bank executives. Here is an excerpt of that exchange from the Daily Caller:

Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters challenged bank executives during a Wednesday morning hearing, appearing to blame them for the student debt crisis.

What she appeared to leave out was the fact that student loans were nationalized nearly a decade ago under former President Barack Obama to cut banks’ ability to offer government-backed loans.

“By cutting out the middleman, we’ll save the American taxpayers $68 billion in the coming years,” Obama said when he signed the legislation in 2010. “That’s real money.”

Waters now chairs the committee that oversees those student loans.

Waters began by explaining the student debt crisis, saying, “Today, there are more than 44 million Americans that owe … $1.56 trillion in student loan debt.”

She added, “Last year, 1 million student loan borrowers defaulted which is on top of the 1 million borrowers who defaulted the year before.”

Then, Waters turned the questions on the bank executives, asking what they intended to do about the student debt crisis: “What are you guys doing to help us with the student loan debt? Who would like to answer first? Mr. Monihan? Big bank?”

“We stopped making student loans in 2007 or so,” he responded.

“So you don’t do it anymore? Mr. Corbyn?” she pressed the next banker.

“We exited student lending in 2009,” he replied.

“Mr. Dimon?” Waters tried again.

“When the government took over student lending in 2010, we stopped doing all student lending,” he said

Wouldn’t you think, Rep. Maxine Waters, should know this? She, afterall, was in Congress when the Obama administration nationalized student loans. Worse, the first banker reminded her of this fact, but she kept asking the others. Talk about audacity of stupid!

Therein lies the problem: we have a bunch of morons running the country and they want more power over our lives.

We have people in Congress who can’t remember what happened ten years ago, how can we expect them to understand economic principles that have been established for thousands of years. One of the biggest problems our country faces is a lack of appreciation for history.

Medicare-for-all will institute universal wage and price controls. Wage and price controls are a proven failure. Nixon failed in 1971. FDR failed with the National Industrial Recovery Act. As a matter of fact, we can go all the way back to Emperor Diocletian of the Roman empire. His policies are said to have instituted the feudal system that dominated Europe for over a century.

Maybe, that’s what our wannabe overlords want to institute, a new kind of slavery: a government of the swamp, by the swamp and for the swamp.

Nigel Farage launches 'The Brexit Party' (12Apr19)

We shouldn’t be surprised when the political class and their activists undermine a voter referendum that doesn’t go their way. Referendums are used as foils: if it advances their agenda, well then, all is good. If it doesn’t, they’ll ignore it, and do as they damn well please.

This happened in Charlotte, NC. Local politicians and their cronies wanted a taxpayer-financed, basketball arena in the “uptown” area. They didn’t have the guts to approve it themselves, so they put it up for a vote. We citizens said, “screw you” and voted it down in referendum. What did these local politicians do? They flipped us the middle finger and saddled us with the bill. That’s how referendums work.

We have plenty of referendums that get passed. It’s the ones that liberals don’t like that get contested and overturned by activist judges. Or, like what’s happening with Brexit, the political class drag their feet, hoping their citizens will eventually become disinterested and forget.

Jorge Ramos: The Third World has Arrived!

Caravans of poverty stricken Latinos are forming battle lines throughout Central America with an eye to invade the United States. Beyond the border is a mountain of free stuff just waiting to be pilfered. Those stinking, privileged gringos can’t stop this horde. They must accept their fate. The Third World has arrived!

What is that in the distance? Why it’s General Jorge Ramos sounding the bugle call. LET THE CHARGE BEGIN!

Ramos said Americans have to understand that 300,000 to a million illegal immigrants have entered the United States every year for decades and if more “of these immigrants want to come to the United States, it is very difficult to stop them at the border.” Ramos added that “Central American countries and Mexico are not the immigration police of Donald Trump” and insisted that no matter how much money is spent trying to solve the migrant crisis, governments “simply don’t have the power to stop that from becoming reality.”

Viva, General Jorge Ramos!  Free education! Free health care! Welfare for all! Let’s make America a third-world hellhole! Viva, General Jorge Ramos!

National Popular Vote Compact Funded by George Soros and Other Anti-Americans

If you want to know the true nature of an organization or movement, find out who’s financing it. Anything that reeks of socialism, open borders and outright hatred of the American creed, you can expect George Soros and others of his ilk are behind it. The National Popular Vote Compact is just such a vehicle. Here is an excerpt from the Tennessee Star:

The Jennifer and Jonathan Allan Soros Foundation, for example, gave $1 million to the nonprofit in 2011.

Jonathan Soros, 49, heads an investment firm and is the son of George Soros, a hedge fund manager known for financing left-leaning causes around the world. Although the Soros Foundation does not publicly list contact information, The Daily Signal sought comment through the George Soros-backed Open Society Foundations.

The Stephen M. Silberstein Foundation made donations totaling $1 million to National Popular Vote Inc. from 2008 to 2012, according to the most recent data. The Silberstein Foundation gave $350,000 in 2008, $250,000 in 2009, $250,000 in 2010, and $150,000 in 2012. The Daily Signal unsuccessfully sought comment from the Silberstein Foundation.

And this:

Another major donor to the compact was the Sandler Foundation, which contributed $100,000 in 2010. The organization’s 2015 filing with the Internal Revenue Service shows it gave millions to liberal groups, including the Center for American Progress, the American Civil Liberties Union, EarthJustice California, and the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities. The Sandler Foundation did not respond to inquiries from The Daily Signal for this story.

The Tides Foundation, a major funder of left-leaning causes, contributed $25,000 to the popular vote group in 2009. The organization has donated to the ACLU Foundation, the Center for American Progress, Media Matters for America, Sierra Club, and Planned Parenthood, among other liberal groups.

The George Soros-backed Open Society Foundations has given millions to the Tides Foundation, according to the Capitol Research Center. The Tides Foundation did not respond to The Daily Signal for this story.

This National Popular Vote Compact is designed to circumvent the intent of the Electoral College by mandating its signatories handover their electors even if that state’s outcome is different from the national popular vote. It’s a naked and perverse powergrab; one that should outrage any self-respecting American.
