Congressman Larry Kissell Appointed Regional Whip
North Carolina’s 8th District has been honored by the Democratic Party. Rep. Larry Kissell is charged with a very important position in the halls of our nation’s capitol. He has been appointed regional whip for the 112th Congress.
Kissell was just re-elected to a second term. Either the Democrats are low on talent from the decimation they received this past November, or they recognize greatness when they see it. The man from Biscoe has certainly proven himself adept at getting things done. He is the second biggest porker in North Carolina. The man certainly knows how to raid the treasury. I’m sure this talent did not go unnoticed by the socialist deviants that litter his party’s leadership.
So whip those doggies Mr. Kissell. We haven’t officially declared bankruptcy yet.
As reported by the Union County Weekly:
Congressman Larry Kissell will serve as the regional whip for the 112th Congress, after his election by Democratic members of the House from Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Kissell is one of 24 regional whips elected in the past two weeks to serve in the new session.
A whip is the official charged with making sure elected officials are present to vote on issues, while also shaping the party’s policy. Kissell will be responsible for managing the representatives from those five states.
“It’s important to me that my district has the best representation they can, and I’m honored to be able to bring a moderate approach to a leadership position within the caucus,” Kissell said. “As the 112th Congress begins, it’s important that we work together to do all we can to improve the lives of American families. I look forward to this position and will continue to work to make sure that the people of my district are heard loud and clear in Washington.”
