Rep. Larry Kissell 2nd Biggest Porker in N.C.

Congressman Larry Kissell in his first term as representative of the 8th District of North Carolina managed to raid the U.S. treasury at a tune of about $42.5 million dollars. He ranked 2nd among N.C. house members in sponsoring earmarks for the fiscal year of 2009. That is quite impressive for a freshman legislator. He has proven himself a veteran at pick pocketing the American taxpayer. Here is an excerpt from the Charlotte Disturber:

Kannapolis' earmarks are sponsored in part by U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell, a Biscoe Democrat who just won re-election to his second term. Kissell was No. 2 among North Carolina's House members in sponsoring earmarks last year, with $42.5 million, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks money in politics.

Kissell's spokesman said he would continue to support earmarks as he's able.

Larry Kissell loves patronage. He sees himself as a modern day Godfather passing out favors to those who are willing to kiss his ring. I guess you can say this is organized crime; a crime against future generations of Americans who have to pay for the indulgences of politicians, and others who connive for federal largess.
