EPA Grinch Steals Prosperity

The EPA wishes all Americans a crappy Thanksgiving, a loathsome Christmas, and an impoverished New Year.  While everyone is stuffing their faces and making merry with friends and family, the Greenie Grinch is busy raiding our wallets and future prosperity by pushing an avalanche of regulations onto Whoville.  The Daily Caller reported the following:

“It’s become an unfortunate tradition of this administration and others to drop these regulatory agendas late on a Friday and right before a holiday,” Matt Shudtz, executive director of the Center for Progressive Reform, told The Hill newspaper.

The White House’s regulatory agenda for spring 2014 was released on the eve of the Memorial Day weekend, when millions of people set out on weekend getaways or family vacations.

“It’s unfortunate because it’s an update on protections for Americans of all stripes,” Shudtz told the Hill. “It lays out the administration’s plan and it deserves more attention.”

But the White House may have a good reason to do so because its Unified Agenda for fall 2014 includes some 3,415 regulations– more than the last regulatory agenda, and one that includes 189 rules that cost more than $100 million.

This is fast becoming a holiday tradition Americans can’t afford.

Ferguson Looters Destroy Community

It was a scumbag Christmas in Ferguson, MO.  Rioters couldn’t wait for black Friday to do their holiday shopping.  They just needed a pretense to loot.  All I have to say is thank God illegal aliens won’t do the jobs some black people are willing to do.

I don’t understand why anyone would want to destroy their own community for any reason whatsoever.  There is no excuse for it.   Hell, there was a woman raiding a liquor store with her child.  There is something seriously wrong within the black community.

These looters didn’t care if businesses were sympathetic to their cause.  They didn’t care if business owners were black.  They just went on a mindless rampage.  Here is a black woman who lost everything, and for what?

Liberals claim inner cities are food deserts.  Well, Ferguson has become an urban desert.  Why anyone would want to open a business in that hellhole is beyond me.  As far as I’m concerned, members of that community can take a long bus ride to do their shopping from now on.

North Carolina Smacks Gruber the Grafters Hand out of Taxpayer Cookie Jar

Gruber the Grafter had his paws in North Carolina’s cookie jar as well.  The con never ends with this guy.  We don’t have a state exchange; yet, this guy was able to worm his way into our treasury.  WRAL reported the following:

 — State Auditor Beth Wood has terminated a contract with MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber after the health care policy expert came under fire for controversial comments involving how the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010.

"We can’t use you on a project where you have a bias or where people might even think you have a bias," said Bill Holmes, a spokesman for Wood, who was traveling out of state on Thursday and was unavailable for comment.
The auditor's office will end up paying Gruber $100,000 for work that has already been completed.

Makes you wonder what this grafter and his democratic accomplices were up to.

A London Cabbie and a Muslim

A devout Arab Muslim entered a black cab in London.  He curtly asked the cabbie to turn off the radio because as decreed by his religious teaching, he must not listen to music because in  the time of the prophet there was no music, especially Western music which is the music of  the infidel.

The cab driver politely switched off the radio, stopped the cab and opened the door.

The Arab Muslim asked him,
"What are you doing?"

The cabbie answered, "In the time of the prophet there were no taxis, so piss off and wait for a camel."

Hillary Clinton's Prescient Speech on an Imperial Presidency

Hillary Clinton knows abuse of power when she sees it.  Her husband’s administration flouted the law and basic human decency during his tenure.  Of course, Slick Willie’s transgressions were just “a rightwing conspiracy.”  Sure it was.

Pant Suit’s up close and personal experience in smearing political and personal opponents is legendary.  Hell, she accused President George W. Bush for pushing the bounds of the presidency.  He didn’t do anything remotely as skanky or unlawful as her husband.  Still, we have to give her credit for defining an imperial president.   The Washington Free Beacon relates:

“Unfortunately our current president does not seem to understand the basic character of the office he holds,” Clinton said of Bush in April 2008. “Rather than faithfully execute the laws, he has rewritten them through signing statements, ignored them through secret legal opinions, undermined them by elevating ideology over facts. Rather than defending the constitution, he has defied its principles and traditions.”

Eerily enough, Clinton’s jab at Bush more than six years ago is equally true of Obama today. Nevertheless, Clinton has continued to adhere to the Democratic party line and support the president as he takes “unconstitutional” action (his words) to advance his own progressive agenda.

“He has abused his power while failing to understand its purpose,” Clinton said in 2008. “This administration’s unbridled ambition to transform the executive into an imperial presidency in an attempt to strengthen the office has weakened our nation.”

Yet, Hillary Clinton is okay with Barack Obama’s power grabs.  Isn’t that interesting?

Maryland Coerces Churches into Preaching Global Warming Gospel

One of many complaints our founding fathers had with England was paying taxes to support the Anglican Church.  Many colonists found it a burden to support their local ministry and a state sanctioned religion.   That is what the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment was really meant to prevent before it became bastardized by progressives.

Maryland may not have an official green energy religion, but they have exacted a tax on those who don’t preach their gospel.  It could be one of many factors why a deep blue state elected a republican governor.

Now Prince George’s Country is offering a way for churches to avoid paying the tax, which is estimated to be an average of $744 per year for them — preach “green” to their parishioners.

So far 30 pastors have agreed to begin “‘green’ ministries to maintain the improvements at their churches, and to preach environmentally focused sermons to educate their congregations” to avoid being hit with the tax, The Washington Post reports.

Prince George’s County’s Department of Environment director Adam Ortiz told WBAL Radio churches “don’t have to preach, per se,” that they could avoid the tax if they “provide educational programs to teach them (parishioners) about how to be more sustainable. And to help them engage in grant programs and other way that they can control the runoff from their property.”

Man-made global warming is a religion to progressives.  This tax is a means to compel churches into preaching their gospel.

Survey: Man-Made Global Warming Not Settled Science

The man-made global warming graft is just about up.  A new survey demonstrates there is no consensus on what was supposed to be settled science:

A new Purdue University report and survey of on global warming finds that just 50 percent of scientists blame human causes, not the NASA-endorsed and widely distributed claim of 97 percent.
In a survey of nearly 7,000 in the agriculture field, found that most scientists agree that climate change is happening, but just 50.5 percent blame mankind.
“More than 90 percent of the scientists and climatologists surveyed said they believed climate change was occurring, with more than 50 percent attributing climate change primarily to human activities,” said the Purdue report published in the authoritative Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society and highlighted by MRC Business.
“Contrary to the repeated insistence of both climate alarmists and the media, scientists do not all agree on the standard climate alarmism talking points,” said MRC’s review of the scholarly report from one of the nation’s leading ag schools.

I wonder when we can expect predictions on the coming ice age and why humans (Americans) are responsible for it.

Senator Harry Reid Begs Mercy from Republican Majority

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) has chutzpah.  Now that he and his party have been relegated to minority status, he wants republicans to afford them what was denied during his tenure as majority leader:

“I would hope we could have an open amendment process and ample debate on that legislation,” Reid said on the floor.

Reid’s comments are close to a complete reversal compared to the way he has run the Senate, one that appears to be driven by the minority-party status that Democrats will hold next year. Reid has routinely blocked GOP senators from offering amendments on dozens of bills over the last few years, using a maneuver that blocks Democratic amendments as well.

That practice has essentially shut down the Senate as a legislative body, and turned it into a chamber that mostly rejects or ignores House-passed bills, except for must-pass spending bills or other critical measures.

Reid has stopped consideration of amendments through a process called “filling the tree.” In that procedure, Reid fills up all the designated amendment slots with his own token amendments that make tiny changes to the bill, which prevents others from having their own ideas considered when the bill comes up.

That maneuver has often prompted Republicans to vote against even considering legislation, since there’s no hope they can make any changes to it.

What a POS!

Somali Locust Devour Section 8 Housing Vouchers

Somali locusts are swarming from state to state looking for Section 8 housing vouchers.  Smaller cities like Cheyenne, Wyoming have been invaded by these rapacious immigrants looking for a federal government handout.  Atlas Shrugs reported the following:

Cheyenne’s Somali population has grown rapidly in the last couple of years. That’s surprising because Wyoming doesn’t have an official refugee resettlement program, and most jobs around here require fluent English.
But Cheyenne has one really big draw: housing assistance.
Faiso Abdi moved to Cheyenne last year. She says she was happy living in Greeley Colorado, but she couldn’t even get on the waitlist for that city’s section 8 housing voucher program.
“The real problem is that people are desperate for the housing subsidy and they are willing to do almost anything to get one.”
Cheyenne’s voucher wait list runs almost a year, but many bigger cities like Greeley have simply stopped accepting new applicants entirely. But here’s the thing: getting your housing voucher in Cheyenne doesn’t mean you have to use it there. Organizer Gretchen Carlson says what’s called “portability” is a big draw.
“There are quite a few of them that have already lived here one year and then have moved elsewhere. But they lived here for one year in order to get that voucher.”

And guess what religion these people are?  You guessed it, Islam.  Not only are we importing teat squawkers, we've also invited the jihad.  You have to marvel at the genius of our Washington D.C. overlords.

EPA's Undeclared War on Middle-Class

The Obama administrations war on the American middle-class is about to run into another phase.  Last week, the imperial president took it upon himself to grant legal status to over 5 million illegal aliens without congressional authorization.  These invaders take jobs away from citizens and legal residents, and use up vital resources.

Now we are finding out the EPA has passed regulations that will increase our cost of living by almost 40%.  The Daily Caller reported the following:

A report by Energy Ventures Analysis found that the EPA underestimates how much its power plant regulatory regime will raise electricity and natural gas prices by imposing new regulations on power plants, most recently being the agency’s rules to cut carbon dioxide emissions from new and existing power plants.

These new rules to tackle global warming, combined with other rules to reduce more traditional air pollutants, will dramatically increase Americans’ utility bills by 2020, according to EVA’s report which was sponsored by the coal company Peabody Energy.

“Annual power and gas costs for residential, commercial and industrial customers in America would be $284 billion higher ($173 billion in real terms) in 2020 compared to 2012—a 60% (37%) increase,” the EVA report found.

I don’t recall a declaration of war on the American people being issued.  I guess King Obama doesn’t need one of those either.

Illegal Aliens File Complaint with N.C. Department of Labor

The entitlement mentality illegal aliens have is astonishing.  However, can anyone blame them when federal and state governments cater to their needs?  They take our jobs and use up valuable resources that should be afforded only to citizens and lawful residents.

The Observers that infest this state lament the woeful conditions these lawbreakers face in the state of North Carolina.  Sunday’s front page article features the plight of illegal aliens who’ve filed complaints with the N.C. Labor Department for lost wages.  Of course, they don’t mention the plaintiffs’ status until midway through the article:

At first, Zuniga, 40, and Paredes, 39, hoped their boss of more than two decades would settle up on his own. As bills piled up and Christmas approached, they lost hope.
The men, immigrants who came here illegally from Mexico, found a telephone number for the state Department of Labor. Soon, 18 employees for the company had lodged a complaint, the agency said.
Labor investigator Dawn Beasley confirmed 18 laborers for Tri-City Contractors of Raleigh were cheated out of several weeks of wages. But the company owner, Curtis J. Fields, declined to voluntarily pay what he owed, and a lawyer for the company told Beasley that the company was likely going to file for bankruptcy, the agency said.
Fields and two other executives of Tri-City could not be reached for comment. Tri-City appears to not be operating, but one of the other principals opened another concrete company late last year, according to North Carolina Secretary of State records.
In May, Beasley closed the case. She mailed each worker a letter, breaking the news that their boss had not agreed to pay. She had more bad news: The agency wouldn’t go to court on their behalf.

I don’t get the feeling these illegal aliens are living in the shadows. Do you?  They feel quite comfortable filing a complaint with North Carolina’s Labor Department without any sense of reprisal or consequence for breaking our immigration laws.  On top of that, the company they worked for was a federal government contractor.  Isn’t that rich?

Obama Makes Case for His Own Impeachment

Congresswoman-elect Mia Love on Obama's Amnesty

U.S. Embarks on Age of Rulers

The United States is about to embark on an age of rulers.  That is the stark assessment by Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK).  Indeed, today’s democrats are crying for an imperial president to disregard the rule of law and our Constitution.  The Obama administration has heard their cries and have harassed political opponents and is now about to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who have the same third world mentality as their advocates.

Progressives from Theodore Roosevelt to Barack Obama have had an utter contempt for our founding principles and our federalist system that binds them.  They want a robust executive and they sure as hell don’t want a legislative or judicial branch to impede their progress.

Woodrow Wilson wrote extensively about an administrative state.  Even he conceded that his progressive ideals were contrary to our founding:

But where has this science grown up? Surely not on this side of the sea….American writers have hitherto taken no very important part in the advancement of this science. It has found its doctors in Europe. It is not of our making; it is a foreign science, speaking very little of the language of English or American principles….It has been developed by French and German professors

Indeed, progressives were so enamored with this new form of governance they passed the 1946 Administrative Procedures Act.  This law allowed bureaucracies the ability to create and adjudicate regulations without consent from Congress.  They practically made themselves irrelevant.

The logical progression in this world of progressives is an imperial president.  The United States is about to embark on an age of rulers.  I’m sure that will make all these Latin American illegal aliens feel right at home.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez Pulled an Illegal Alien Gruber

Congressman Luis Gutierrez appeared on the O’Reilly Factor last night.  He, of course, is an amnesty advocate and has become a representative for illegal aliens over the interest of American citizens.  He reassured everyone that Obama’s deferred action didn’t confer taxpayer benefits to this horde of invaders.  But according to FAIR, that is another Gruber.  Here is an excerpt from Breitbart.com:

Illegal aliens who get President Barack Obama’s likely forthcoming executive amnesty will have immediate access to welfare and other public benefits, according to a new report from the Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) exclusively provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release shows.

“Obama’s executive amnesty isn’t only unconstitutional but costly; from day one it opens up federal  and state benefits to individuals who are still illegal aliens, regardless of the label the President puts on them,” FAIR executive director Julie Kirchner told Breitbart News.

“Deferred action and parole-in-place don’t fit neatly into statutory definitions that prohibit access to benefits, mostly because deferred action and parole-in-place have no statutory basis themselves,” FAIR communications director Bob Dane added. “Congress has never imagined a rouge president pulling rabbits out of a hat to justify a broad, transformational makeover of the country by way of amnesty. There will always be thousands of loopholes in the law and backdoor methods to achieve a desired agenda, but ultimately the intent of Congress is preeminent. It may be that the courts will have to review that.”

Can you feel the contempt these democrats have for you?  It’s practically palpable.

Washington D.C.'s War on American Citizens

Do you get the feeling that Washington D.C. has declared war on American citizens?  It seems that way to me.  Government agencies target those who don’t agree with big government elites who run that town.  To this day not one person has been prosecuted for the IRS or Fast and Furious scandals.  If you’re a government bureaucrat or politically connected with the Obama administration, you can do whatever you damn well please without consequence.

Christians can no longer own a business and practice their faith.  Federal judges have deemed gay marriage a civil right by bastardizing the 14th Amendment and trampling over the First.  These activist judges have deemed states’ constitutions, unconstitutional.  Federalism, the basis of our Constitution, is on the brink of being obliterated.  So your property/business has become public domain and your state is a vassal to the federal ummah.  Are you feeling any freer?

And if that isn’t infuriating enough, Emperor Obama declared he will grant de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens without consent from our elected representatives.  King Obama heard from the two thirds who didn’t bother to vote, and apparently they want a Hugo Chavez.

What are republicans going to do when King Obama waves his scepter and legalizes all of these foreign nationals?  They already took impeachment and “shutting down the government” off the table.  So much for Article One Section Eight of the U.S. Constitution.

Americans have to ask themselves, are we citizens or subjects?  The Washington D.C. establishment thinks us the latter.

Just Who is Gruber the Grafter Calling Stupid?

Can the mainstream media get anything right?  They’ve been wrong on so many levels it has become a threat to our republic.  Case in point is Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post.  He recently wrote an article trying to figure out why conservatives have gone cat nip crazy over Gruber the Grafter, the Obamacare architect and mind poisoner at MIT.   This beltway courtesan thinks we are personally insulted by Gruber’s ‘stupid’ remarks.  Here is an excerpt:

The key to understanding why Gruber has become a cause celebre -- but not in a good way -- for conservatives is that his comments about the ACA confirm two things that the right has long believed about Democrats and the law: (a) The ACA was made purposely vague to keep the public in the dark about its depth and breadth, and (b) liberals think conservatives are stupid.

And this:

The second point is slightly more subtle but, I think, even more responsible for why Gruber and his comments have conservatives seeing red. Nothing makes conservatives more angry than the belief, which they think is widespread among liberals, that they are stupid. That if only conservatives read as much as the left or had the intellectual capacity of the left, they would see things the way the left sees them

First of all, the ACA was shoved down our throats.  That is indisputable.  However, to assume that conservatives are mad as hell about Gruber calling us stupid has missed the mark.  I’ve got news for you Mr. Cillizza.  Gruber wasn’t calling conservatives stupid.  We’ve been warning the American people about the ACA from the very beginning.  We knew democrats were/are a bunch of liars, thieves, and hypocrites for ages.  No.  Gruber was calling you and anyone who votes for democrats stupid.  And he is right.

Gruber let the cat out of the bag by telling his fellow elites that you and your fellow libtards couldn’t handle the truth.  We conservatives suspected what was happening and we didn’t fall for it.  You and your ilk are the ones Gruber called ‘stupid.’

There isn’t one conservative I know who concedes intellectual superiority to the left.  Actually, it’s just the opposite.  And we don’t have to hide behind closed doors to smirk about your stupidity.  We’ll do it to your face.  To say conservatives are insecure about their intellect says more about the wishful thinking by liberals whose beliefs and policies have been proven wrong time after time.  Obamacare and Jon Gruber is just a cherry on top.

Andrew Klavan: Helping the Pro-Obama Media Learn From the Past

It's Good to be a Federal Government Employee

It pays to be a federal government worker.  You get to stay home and get paid for doing absolutely nothing.  Hell, you can take off years and collect a check.  The Washington Examiner reported the following:

The federal government has shelled out more than $700 million in paid leave to more than 57,000 employees who were home from work for time periods stretching from one month to three years, a Government Accountability Office report has found.
In a 62-page report published Monday, the GAO analyzed why so many federal employees were home and getting paid for such long periods of time and they discovered a variety of reasons.
In many cases, employees were home awaiting the outcome of investigations into alleged misconduct and criminal actions. Some racked up paid leave for “physical fitness activities,” and others were away from work seeking professional development. Employees also took paid leave for “recuperation” from overseas work.
Hundreds of federal employees remained at home, collecting a paycheck, for years.
The report found that during a three-year period beginning in 2011, 263 employees remained on paid leave for one to three years at a cost of $31 million.
In some cases, about five percent of the time, the federal government couldn’t come up with a reason why some employees were home on paid leave.
Overall, paid leave for federal government workers, excluding holidays, cost billions of dollars from 2011 to 2013, the GAO report found, but comprised less than one percent of all federal government salaries paid during that time period.

Try pulling that crap in the private sector.  It must be good to be a federal government employee.

Democratic Policies Responsible for Shrinking Middle-Class

We’ve all heard the accusation by liberals that Americans, particularly lower and middle-class, are parochial.  We’re just not sophisticated enough to understand the ways of the world.  So we’ve been told.

I, on the other hand, wonder what kind of country liberals are trying to turn us into.  They obviously have no respect for our founding, history or institutions.  They’ve been busy fundamentally transforming the most powerful and benevolent nation ever to exist into something that is un-American; a hybrid of socialist Europeanism and Latin American strife.

Look at France.  They have a stagnant economy, a corrupt bureaucracy, an incestuous political class that feeds off class envy and paternalism, an immigration problem that threatens their national identity and security, and an entitlement mentality that strangles innovation and hard work.

Democrats theatrically lament our shrinking middle-class.  Yet, it is their French-esque policies that are the cause.  Here is an excerpt from an article describing the French economy published by the Telegraph:

From 40 per cent of the population then, blue-collar workers have dwindled to half of that and are looking in petrified anguish at the possibility of yet more jobs being outsourced abroad. Apart from the employees of former state monopolies such as SNCF, the railway network, or EDF, the electricity giant, who remain under the iron protection of specific statutes ensuring job security, French workers are aware that if they lose their jobs, they won't find anything half as good again.

The vast majority of the French not directly employed by the state (about one quarter of the workforce) live in a state of pervasive fear of unemployment that is probably impossible to overstate.

One quarter of the under-25s are unemployed; while employers also actively discriminate against over-50s. France is depressed and gloomy. More and more, my native country reminds me of the Britain I knew from my days at school during the Winter of Discontent, those grey and pessimistic times when the joke was that the last person leaving England should remember to turn out the lights. We don't have power cuts yet, but we have more and more power outages. The French, especially in the public sector, go on strike on the flimsiest of pretexts.

Moreover, the country is riven by class envy and doubts most of its public figures. The recent revelation that the leader of the largest union, the Communist-linked CGT, has a flat renovated for his use at the union's expense, complete with home cinema and a terrace offering views of the Bois de Vincennes park in Paris, adds to the general feeling that none of the hitherto trusted figures holding power is deserving of their position.

That kind of sounds familiar doesn’t it?  Is this the vision Democrats have for us?  Vice President Joe Biden himself stated what D.C. thinks about the middle-class:

Gruber the Grafter

Jonathon Gruber, the lauded MIT economics professor and skilled grafter, epitomizes liberalism.  He and his ilk is a bunch of self-righteous pricks who believe they know better than the rest of us.  We, the great unwashed, are not sophisticated enough to appreciate the genius of our betters.  No, they have to shepherd us into their government sanctioned pens by any means possible.

Conservatives instinctively knew what liberals thought of the average American.  But to have it on video, on multiple occasions, is a gratifying affirmation.  You can tell Gruber felt comfortable amongst his fellow elites.  So much so, he broke a grafter’s rule:  you don’t brag about the con.  And what a con it was.  Gruber made millions off the great Obamacare lie.  The New York Post reported the following:

Now, a series of government contracts totaling more than $2 million for consulting services provided by the Harvard-trained economics professor are coming under scrutiny.

Eight states hired Gruber to help design their health exchanges after he banked nearly $400,000 in 2009 through contracts with the Department of Health and Human Services, records show.

Gruber and a handful of colleagues got state contracts totaling $1.6 million over seven years from Michigan ($481,000), Minnesota ($329,000), Vermont ($400,000) and Wisconsin ($400,000), The Washington Post reported.

He also advised Colorado, Connecticut, Maine and West Virginia.

Time will tell if Gruber the Grafter becomes a pariah.  Liberals have a tendency to reward their con men even when they have been discredited.  All you have to do is look to global warming for that affirmation.

Liberal Prophets

Bill Whittle's TOP 5 Conservative Principles

Parallels Between Obamacare and the Berlin Wall

I watched an interesting documentary about the Berlin Wall last Saturday.  This perspective centered on how a handful of GDR bureaucrats, I believe 20, were able to deceive Berliners by mobilizing an army, police units, and socialist party activist to seal off East Berlin.

This elite 20 sent envelopes to various peoples and organizations with explicit instructions not to open until a designated time early in the morning.  At that moment they were to follow orders without question.  The goal was to shutdown subways, thoroughfares, and to fence off East Berlin by 6:00 AM before anyone woke up.  And they accomplished it.

Some West Berliners were stranded on the other side.  One woman recounted how the subway was shutdown and she had to walk miles to get to the boundary where soldiers were laying barbed wire.  They helped her cross over.  She recalled they didn’t know what was going on.  They were just following orders.

That kind of sneaky, underhanded duplicity reminds me of how democrats shoved Obamacare down our throats.  Remember Nancy Pelosi’s, ‘We must pass this bill to see what’s in it”?  And here is one of the masterminds bragging about how they deceived the American people:

I don’t see a difference between the GDR and the democrats.  Do you?

2014 Midterm Elections a Referendum for Constitutional Convention

Now that the dust has settled, we plebeians have to wade through myriad analysis of what last week’s elections meant.  Some of these pundits are delusional.  They believe a resounding ass whooping is a call for bipartisanship.   Only Beltway elites could come to that conclusion.  No, what we want is gridlock!  The more of it the better!  We’ve had enough of republicans and democrats working together.  I’d say we’ve had about $18 trillion worth of bipartisanship and a near dissolution of our Constitution and federalist system.

What this past election was about is a call to dismantle the Washington D.C. Death Star.  Do I have faith that this freshman class will channel their Obi Wan Kenobi and fight these Potomac storm troopers?  Of course not, they’ll take a dip into that open sewer and become zombified establishment republicans.  They’ll have the urge to “work together to get the job done for the American people.”  I believe the “establishment” has done enough.  It’s time conservatives held the line and look to the states to save our asses.  That is where our “Hope and Change” will prevail.  The Washington Post reported the following:

Republican gains extended to state legislative chambers as well. Before Election Day, the GOP controlled 59 of 98 partisan legislative chambers across the country. On Tuesday, preliminary results showed Republicans had won control of both the Nevada Assembly and Senate, the Colorado Senate and state House chambers in Minnesota, New Mexico, Maine, West Virginia and New Hampshire. That would give the party control of 67 chambers, five more than their previous record in the modern era, set after special elections in 2011 and 2012. It also would give Republicans total control of 24 states, in which they hold the governor’s mansion and both chambers of the state legislature (Nebraska’s unicameral legislature is technically nonpartisan, but in practice Republicans control the chamber by a wide margin). Democrats, by contrast, are likely to control all three legs of the governing stool in only six states.

Since that was published republicans have taken control of 70 percent of all legislatures.  It is possible for states to call for a constitutional convention and roll back the progressive agenda.

Three fourths of the states can call for a constitutional convention.  If we are to save this republic from executive tyrants, bureaucratic despots, and activist judges we need the states to step up and stand up to Washington D.C.  We need to repeal the 14th, 16th, and 17th amendments and dismantle that thuggish bureaucratic state.  Our lives, liberty and property depend on it.
