N.C. Senator Appoints Illegal Alien Advocate to Redistricting Board

For the first time in 130 years the Republican Party will redraw congressional districts in North Carolina.  If you want to see gerrymandering at its worst, all you have to do is look at this state.  The 12th District alone will make you laugh out loud.  Now, that we have some adults in the General Assembly, you would think that serious people would be appointed to right this bastardization.

Sen. Bob Rucho (R-Mecklenburg) appointed Matty Lazo-Chatterton, a long time member of the infamous La Raza, to the board.  La Raza is a Latino organization, which openly calls for the overthrow of the United States government.  They are also advocates for illegal aliens.
The appointment of Matty Lazo-Chatterton, has caused an uproar throughout the state.  Sen. Rucho is put in the awkward position of defending his appointment:

To comply with the voting rights act, the General Assembly must demonstrate that it has sought input from the diverse communities that exist in North Carolina.  We have a serious responsibility to conduct public hearings throughout the state so that all citizens have an opportunity to offer their view points on redistricting.

The problem that I see with that statement is Matty Lazo-Chatterton doesn’t represent citizens; she represents illegal aliens.  And they shouldn’t have any say in redistricting.

Thanks for spreading the word on Matty L-C from La Raza. It's good to see somebody who is paying attention.

I'm Jay DeLancy, a soon-to-be retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve and founder of a a non-partisan organization called Voter Integrity Project. If your schedule allows, please plan to cover our 12:30 PM media event and rally in SUPPORT of voter photo ID on Tursday, May 5, at 12:30, across the street from the main entrance of the State Legislature at 14 W. Jones Street.

My organization will host the event mainly to refute some of the more foolish arguments made against voter photo ID by the Left (at a rally two weeks ago) and their friends at the News & Observer (see last Sunday's editorial) and to highlight the reasons FOR the voter photo ID bills now circulating through both sides of the Legislature (H351/S352). The Governor seems poised to veto the bill, even though it is widely supported across the state in a largely bi-partisan way.

Thanks again,
