President Donald Trump won the primaries and the general election on a promise to drain the swamp, but ended up dancing with snakes. Last month, the MAGA man waded into the ophidiarium and had dinner with the head vipers in the Democratic party. He cut a deal with these cold blooded, forked-tongued scoundrels to the astonishment of conservatives.
Today, he announced his willingness to work with the snake cult on reforming Obamacare. Here is an excerpt from the New York Post:
President Trump confirmed Saturday he’s made fresh overtures to Senate Democrats in hope of reaching a health care deal.
“I called [Senate minority leader] Chuck Schumer yesterday to see if the Dems want to do a great HealthCare Bill,” Trump tweeted at 8:17 am. “ObamaCare is badly broken, big premiums. Who knows!”
The president’s call signaled his impatience with the gridlocked GOP majorities in Congress, which have failed in multiple attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act this year.
“It shows the President can move without hesitation or ideological impediment to make a deal with the Dems,” a Republican source told Axios.
This is what I have to say to President Trump: if you dance with snakes, prepare to be bitten.
