Does anyone remember Dr. James Hansen? You know the man-made global warming loon who believes we have the capability to screw with the earth’s thermostat. Apparently, he’s locked on to one of the Democratic Party’s reliable ruses, in this case a twofer. He’s using children to front lawsuits. Yeah, there’s nothing like a kiddie shield to sway a court. These low-lifes will sink to any level to advance a cause.
Even though Dr. Strangelove’s organization is based in Oregon he’s set his sights on Florida. Here is an excerpt from The Hill:
The group of eight young Florida residents — represented by Oregon-based Our Children's Trust — sued Scott to demand that the state begin working on a court-ordered, science-based "Climate Recovery Plan," the Miami Herald reported.
The group, which is reportedly made up of individuals ranging from 10 to 20 years old, is alleging Scott is not taking steps to combat climate change.
The suit says Scott and his administration have not passed any legislation meant to measure or curb carbon emissions. It also accuses the Florida governor and his administration of not doing anything regarding the threat of rising seas on the coasts.
Are people completely ignorant on how laws are passed in this country? First of all, judges do not have the authority to order an elected body to pass legislation. Second, legislators pass laws not governors. I have a suggestion for Dr. James Hansen and his kiddie shields: Learn how a republican form of government works before you sue them.
