The Democratic Party: A Party for the Super Delegates

My libtard neighbor just loves Washington D.C.’s lawlessness.  He justifies federal government overreach by emphasizing that this is a democracy and their actions are on behalf of “We the people."

My neighbor is to the left of Bernie Sanders.  I know that’s hard to believe but it’s true.  So the next time I see him, I’m going to ask, how is it that the Democratic Party – a party of the people – is ruled by an oligarchy of super delegates?  New Hampshire primary voters should be pissed off!  Here is an excerpt from the Daily Caller:

Sanders won 60 percent of the vote, but thanks to the Democratic Party’s nominating system, he leaves the Granite State with at least 13 delegates while she leaves with at least 15 delegates.

New Hampshire has 24 “pledged” delegates, which are allotted based on the popular vote. Sanders has 13, and Clinton has 9, with 2 currently allotted to neither.

But under Democratic National Committee rules, New Hampshire also has 8 “superdelegates,” party officials who are free to commit to whomever they like, regardless of how their state votes. Their votes count the same as delegates won through the primary.

How is that democracy working for a party of the super delegates, by the super delegates and for the super delegates?

Courage, New Hampshire

Last week, I happened upon a television series on the INSP channel.  The name of the show is Courage, New Hampshire.  Granted it lasted only four days.  Hopefully, they’ll continue to produce more episodes.  Here is a brief description.

In 1770 America, family-man, tavern-keeper and local Justice of the Peace, Silas Rhodes strives to balance home, business and politics. Together with British deserter Bob Wheedle, they do their best to fight back against the growing tyranny of the British King.  The two men lead a band of ordinary men who are secretive soldiers known as the “Sons of Liberty.” With brave acts of midnight justice against local British officials, they battle the bondage of the King’s oppressive laws in the pre-revolutionary township of Courage, New Hampshire.

This powerful drama depicts daily life for families, tradesmen and British officials living in this early American township during the turmoil just before the Revolutionary War. The people, politics and intrigue of the time are presented with historical detail, bringing this significant period in America to vibrant life once more.

Without a doubt, many viewers can relate to the arbitrary injustices inflicted on the populace by government agents.  If it were not for the period costumes and rustic scenery, you’d think it a modern day tale, especially in the Age of Obama.

During the beginning of the second episode, I thought I spotted Andrew Breitbart.  And to confirm my suspicions I found the following YouTube video:

Maybe we can expect more Courage, New Hampshire episodes.  That is if the IRS didn’t order them to stop producing subversive material.

New Hampshire Democrat Proclaims Jihad on Free Staters

A New Hampshire legislator is proposing a measure that would prohibit freedom loving Americans to more to her state, and make those who currently reside there, move out.  Basically, she wants to be Massachusetts.
State Rep. Cynthia Chase (Democrat of course) believes conservatives/libertarians are the biggest threat to the Granite State.  And her targeted nemesis is the Free State Project.  Here is her missive on a liberal website called Blue New Hampshire:

Free Staters Unwelcome Here
In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today. There is, legally, nothing we can do to prevent them from moving here to take over the state, which is their openly stated goal. In this country you can move anywhere you choose and they have that same right. What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict the "freedoms" that they think they will find here. Another is to shine the bright light of publicity on who they are and why they are coming. They can not put their ideology into our statutes unless we elect them in great enough numbers to take over our General Court. We have already seen them try during the last session of the General Court. Our last election was a repudiation of their extremism.

Here in Keene we had a couple show up on Central Square to take part in our weekly Saturday morning peace demonstration. In the course of the conversation they allowed that they were Free Staters considering moving to Keene. The folks on the Square told them in no uncertain terms not to do that because Free Staters are not welcome here. Cheshire County is a welcoming community but not to those whose stated goal is to move in enough ideologues to steal our state, and our way of life.
Ultimately the Free Staters want NH to be a platform state for them to export their views to the rest of the country. Some of these folks dress up pretty well, but if you check their website you will find that they are really wolves in sheep's clothing. The best strategy from my perspective is to keep shining a light on their views and activities and make it very plain that NH is not up for sale to any ideology. To ignore these people and hope they go away is a recipe for disaster.

Hell, I wish conservatives would implement a policy that would prohibit the statist from moving to our states.  Our problem is we love freedom.  Tyranny is not in our DNA.

The Dead Vote in South Carolina

Two weeks ago, the editors at the Charlotte Observer wrote an op-ed declaring voter fraud didn’t exist, and the only plausible motive of those who want ID requirements at the polls is to suppress the minority vote. They even distorted two stories in order to make their point. Here is the Disturber’s conclusion:

This is what happens when you try to solve a problem that doesn't really exist. That problem would be voter fraud, which is the reason Republicans frequently cite when they introduce and champion restrictive voting laws. Problem is, no one has shown that such an epidemic is real, and the sprinkling of fraud cases that do exist make up a tiny fraction of the voters who will be disenfranchised by laws such as South Carolina's.

Well get ready to eat crow Disturber.

COLUMBIA, S.C. --

State officials are calling for an investigation after records determined that more than 900 people listed as deceased also have recently voted, calling into question the integrity of the state's election system as South Carolina's first-in-the-South GOP presidential primary just 10 days away.

What's unclear from the analysis released Wednesday to a House Judiciary Committee panel from the state Department of Motor Vehicles is whether voter fraud was committed by people assuming the identities of the deceased or if poor record keeping has resulted in South Carolina residents being classified as deceased.

Kevin Shwedo, director of the Department of Motor Vehicles, did not have answers, saying that would be up to investigators. He based his testimony before lawmakers on state Election Commission records that included when people last voted and matched that with death records.

Granted there may be some “clerical errors” involved, but the overall system is ripe for corruption. New Hampshire doesn’t require voter ID. During the recent primary, Project Veritas exposed the flaws of a system that doesn’t protect the integrity of the vote:

You would think that after the number of documented cases of voter fraud, the editors at the Charlotte Observer would humble themselves, and admit there is a problem. But that would require a logical mind.
