Republicans in Washington D.C. had better beware, because the American people are watching them. These scoundrels promised to repeal Obamacare if only we would give them the House, Senate and presidency. Well they have all three and yet refuse to follow through. The following senators voted to keep this god awful, un-American law:
Sens. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Dean Heller of Nevada, John McCain of Arizona, Rob Portman of Ohio, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
The Washington D.C. establishment had no intention of repealing Obamacare. These are the same people who’ve exempted themselves from the very laws they impose on the rest of us. Apparently there are two Americas.
Former Speaker John Boehner admitted that Obamacare is here to stay and that we’d better get used to it.
“Here we are, seven months into this year, and yet they’ve not passed this bill. Now, they’re never — they’re not going to repeal and replace Obamacare,”
“It’s been around too long. And the American people have gotten accustomed to it. Governors have gotten accustomed to this Medicaid expansion, and so trying to pull it back is really not going to work.”
The fanatics who imposed Prohibition on the country had the same attitude. They believed the 18th Amendment would never be repealed because it has never happened before. Boy, were they shocked when the 21st Amendment passed.
Washington D.C. had better take notice. If they can’t take care of business, we’ll do it for them with an Article V convention of states. And believe me, we’ll do more than just repeal an unjust and un-American law. These Potomac potlickers will regret raising the ire of the American people.
