Rep. Robert Pittenger Already Betraying Conservatives

Congressman Robert Pittenger has been in office a couple of months and he is already betraying those of us who sent him there.  The representative of North Carolina’s ninth district announced that he wants to establish a bipartisan council to “address our nation’s fiscal issues.”

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Robert Pittenger (R-NC) and Congressman Patrick E. Murphy (D-FL will be joined by a bipartisan group of freshman members at a press conference on Thursday, February 14th at 12:30 p.m. at the House Radio-TV Gallery’s HVC Studio A. The group of Republican and Democratic freshman members have been meeting over the past several weeks to craft a statement of bipartisan principles to address the nation’s fiscal issues, including Social Security and Medicare reform, tax reform, and streamlining government, which will be outlined at the press conference. More than 2 dozen House members of both parties are active participants.

I believe there has been plenty of bipartisanship in Washington D.C.  I would say $17 trillion worth of it.   And let’s not forget our loss of liberty with that cooperation.
Congressman Pittenger, I voted for you specifically because of your reputation.  You were considered a rabid partisan, and that’s what we expect.  You cannot compromise with these Democrats.  These people do not negotiate in good faith.  You of all people should know that by now.
