San Diego Fence Stems Illegal Alien Horde

We’ve all heard the maxim, “Good fences make good neighbors.”  What has worked for homeowners for eons also works for countries.  The Great Wall of China proved that by keeping out the Mongol horde and so has the San Diego border fence by keeping out the third world sort.  What’s surprising is the mainstream media has reported the obvious.  Here is an excerpt from the Associated Press:

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A sign that greets motorists entering the U.S. at the nation's busiest border crossing shows a silhouette of a man, woman and pigtailed girl running for their lives under the word "Caution."

It was erected 25 years ago, when hordes of immigrants regularly stormed the border in "banzai runs" from Mexico, startling drivers along California's Interstate 5.
The sign looks strangely out of place today.

A 14-mile (22.4-kilometer) fence and tougher U.S. enforcement have dramatically reduced the illegal flow of immigrants across this stretch of border, while the legal movement of Mexicans and Americans back and forth across the international boundary for business or pleasure has been getting faster and more efficient.

Imagine that.  Common sense has made its way onto the pages of a newspaper.  If only they could do something about the editorial section, that would make all the difference in the world.  In the meantime, conservative news outlets are reporting on an illegal alien crime wave that the mainstream media is ignoring.  Here is an example from Brietbart.com:

Let’s look at a few numbers. You haven’t seen them in the New York Times, Atlanta Constitution, or the Miami Herald, nor have they been featured on NBC Nightly news or CNN. So, the average American is blissfully unaware of them.

  • Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%.
  • During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states.
  • That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643.

That 5.6% figure for the average illegal alien population in those five states comes from US Census estimates. We know the real number is double that official estimate. Yet, even if it is 11%, it is still shameful that the percentage of murders by criminal aliens is more than triple the illegal population in those states.

This Sunday’s Charlotte Observer reported a local elderly man was killed by a drunk driver.  Sergio Yobany Borrayo, aged 39, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired and involuntary manslaughter.  There was no mention whether or not he is an illegal alien, but considering Charlotte’s sanctuary city policies, I wouldn’t doubt it.
