Liberal Agenda: The Federal Government of America

Rush Limbaugh postulated a theory liberals will one day attack the American flag as a symbol undeserving our respect and allegiance.  The Politico reported the following:

The debate over the Confederate battle flag in South Carolina and elsewhere is not really about the banner itself, Rush Limbaugh says. And it won’t stop there, the radio host said during his show on Tuesday.

One day, he said, what is happening to the rebel flag will come to pass for the American flag, too.

To liberals, he added, the American flag “stands for the United States of America and, as such, everything that’s wrong with it.”

“The American flag has flown over a slave nation much longer than the Confederate flag did, folks. The American flag has flown over all kinds of atrocities,” Limbaugh told his listeners, calling the Confederate flag “business” an “all-out assault on what the left thinks is a last remaining enclave of solid Republican voters, and that is the South.”

Since the founding of the republic, there have been provocateurs sabotaging the principles of limited government as dictated by the U.S. Constitution.  This will continue until States are completely subjugated by the federal government.  The institutions that empower citizens will be systematically destroyed.  The notion of self-determination and self-government will cease to exist.

 

Some will say this is hyperbole.  History states otherwise.  Here is what Jefferson Davis had to say about the state of the union in 1850 and the antecedents for secession:

"God forbid that the day should ever come when to be true to my constituents is to be hostile to the Union. If, sir, we have reached that hour in the progress of our institutions, it is past the age to which the Union should have lived. If we have got to the point when it is treason to the United States to protect the rights and interests of our constituents, I ask why should they longer be represented here? No, sir, this would be a central Government, raised on the destruction of all the principles of the Constitution, and the first, the highest obligation of every man who has sworn to support that Constitution would be resistance to such usurpation. This is my position."

The liberal agenda is not a United States of America, but a Federal Government of America.  That’s why Rush Limbaugh’s prediction will come to pass.

Democrats Fly Obama Dictator Flag Over Florida County Headquarters

The Obama cult of personality has taken on dimensions reminiscent of third-world dictators. A Florida county’s Democrat headquarters flew an American flag with Obama’s face imprinted on the field of blue. This sums up what this administration is all about: federalism is dead. The Constitution is dead. The States are no longer sovereign. Obama is our lord and master.

An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."

Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.

"It's absolutely disrespectful," Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion told FoxNews.com. "It's totally ridiculous. To put somebody's picture there, to me, it's a disgrace to do that."

Bradford, an organizer with the Veterans Memorial at Fountain Park in Leesburg, Fla., snapped photos of the flag and distributed them to fellow veterans and friends. By late afternoon, he and several other veterans delivered a copy of the federal flag code to Nancy Hurlbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party.

"We read that to her, but she would not accept that," Bradford said. "The discussion finally got a little bit heated."

The flag, which had been flying for several months without complaint and is available online for $12.95, was later removed by Hurlbert.

Bradford said Hurlbert apologized for the incident, but did not offer any promises that it wouldn't fly again.

When Obama looks in a mirror does he see a Hugo Chavez or a Fidel Castro? Some in the Democratic Party apparently do.

13 Year Old Restores Honor to American Flag

This is disturbing.  A boy cannot display an American flag on his bike for fear of harm.  What in the hell is going on in this country?  We now have a bewildered Congressman apologizing to a little boy that was shamed into taking down his flag.  We as a people have some self-introspection to do.  More importantly, we need to come to resolve on those who threaten violence to Americans who display patriotism in our own country.
