President Trump Dismantles Obama's Quasi-Dictatorship Legacy

I rarely refer to Barack Obama as president of the United States, because he didn’t act like one. This man treated the office as though it were a quasi-dictatorship. His greatest achievement was shoving executive orders down our throats, or using his legion of bureaucrats to pass mountains of rules and regulations. His administration laughed at the Constitution. Now we’re having the last laugh.


President Trump is making an historical correction by getting rid of Obama’s “agreements” and mandates that don’t have the force of law. Paris Climate Agreement, gone! Iranian Nuclear Agreement, gone! Cuban policy, gone! EPA rules and regulations, gone! DACA, gone! The only thing remaining is Obamacare and that was gutted.


If you want an example on how Obama ruled this country just take a look at Obamacare. Here is an excerpt from an article published in the National Review:


Even when implementing laws Congress had passed, Obama and his allies relied on coercing participation through mandates. And when it became inconvenient, they began arbitrarily implementing parts of laws. Administrative discretion became administrative abuse. When the president decided the Obamacare’s employer mandate was politically inconvenient, for example, he simply skipped it for expediency.


The Constitution doesn’t say, “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law unless liberals tell us it’s super important.” Yet shortly after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the Obama administration realized it would need more subsidies and asked for an appropriation from Congress.


When Congress, then teeming with politicians elected on the promise of overturning Obamacare, refused, then–Treasury Secretary Jack Lew ordered the administration to begin making “cost-sharing reduction” payments anyway, without any public legal justification. Obama created a $7 billion per year appropriation for insurance companies participating in the supposedly self-sufficient and competitive state health care exchanges. Not a single liberal pundit that I know of concerned himself with this norm breaking.


Barack Obama’s legacy will be his contempt for our republic, the people and the rule of law. May we never see the likes of him, again.

Greenies Too Extreme for Venezuelan Regime

Venezuela has long been a favorite destination for libtards.  Hollywood actors basked in the glow of authoritarians like Hugo Chavez and his successor.  There is nothing like the smell of a dictator that sets a moon bat aflutter.

Recently, a group of greenies held a conference in that socialist paradise.  A declaration was created to rid the world of capitalism, which the host country whole heartedly agreed with.

A UN-backed conference in Venezuela has ended with a declaration to scrap carbon markets and reject the green economy.

The Margarita Declaration was issued at the end of a four-day meeting of around 130 green activist groups, which the Venezuelan government hosted in order to raise the volume of civil society demands in UN discussions on climate change.

“The structural causes of climate change are linked to the current capitalist hegemonic system,” the final declaration said. “To combat climate change it is necessary to change the system.”

The declaration will be handed to environment ministers when they meet ahead of the UN’s main round of talks in Lima this year.

The meeting, called the Social Pre-COP, is the first time that civil society has been invited to participate with the UN at this scale at international climate talks.

A little problem happened on the road to utopia.  The greenies turned on their fellow travelers.  It seems these activists are too extreme for the Venezuelan government.

Maria de Pilar García-Guadilla, a professor at the Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela, said that there was an underlying assumption in the declaration that capitalism was the cause of climate change – a position maintained by the Venezuelan government in its own development plan – but that this was a “fallacy”.

“Venezuela relies heavily on the use of hydrocarbons, or the extractive economies, to support their anti-neoliberal socialist policies. The extractive economy has a severe negative social and environmental impacts in the indigenous communities and in the most biodiverse areas,” she said.

You just can’t ask a totalitarian government to give up its one source of revenue.  How are they going to feed, clothe and house all those teat squawkers?  Utopia isn’t as easy as these greenies think.

Detroit's Liberal Legacy: A Dictatorship

Detroit’s liberal legacy is coming to fruition.  The governor of Michigan had to install an emergency manager to oversee its affairs; practically giving him dictatorial powers.  The other alternative is bankruptcy.   Corruption, generous contracts to labor unions, a faltering auto industry, and a fleeing population are just some of the factors that lead to the dissolution of a once proud and prosperous city. 

Detroit has become so dysfunctional, basic services have been neglected.  Police don’t answer calls.  Broken street lights aren’t being replaced.  And of course, the citizens want something done about it; yet, protest this “power grab” by the governor.  Here are some of the powers granted to Kevyn Orr, the appointed emergency manager:

 Under a revised state law governing emergency managers that will go into effect on March 28, the same week that Mr. Orr is to begin his job, he will be granted sweeping powers to remake the city’s financial plan, change labor contracts and sell city assets. He will make $275,000 a year, nearly all of it paid by the state, and may choose to hire staff to be paid for by the city. Many of his decisions will trump those of elected officials, although some leaders — most notably Mr. Bing — have indicated a willingness to collaborate with Mr. Orr.

Despite Mr. Orr’s legal background, he said he hoped the city would not ultimately need to file for bankruptcy. Municipal bankruptcies are rare, but it was lost on no one that the state had selected an expert in bankruptcy law for Detroit, as opposed to a financial accountant, former city manager or elected official. Under Michigan law, a city can file for bankruptcy only under certain conditions, including if an emergency manager has attempted other measures and concluded that such a move is needed.

I just hope the irresponsible behavior by Democrats at the national level doesn’t translate into a Detroit legacy.

The Pox Obama

Republicans in the U.S. Senate proposed a plan to cede power to the Obama administration in an attempt to give President Obama more latitude in sequestration cuts.  The Anointed One declined by emphasizing that he’s not a dictator.

Many of us would retort that he basically is a dictator by the very nature of our bureaucratic state.  Congress actually has ceded its responsibilities.  The accumulation of power in the executive began during the Progressive Era through a series of constitutional amendments, bastardized judicial rulings, and the craven cowardice of congressmen.  We’ve come to a point where bureaucrats can churn out 700 pages of new regulations without the approval or oversight of our elected representatives.  Does anyone still believe that this is a representative republic?

The genius of Obama is he puts on the air of a dictator and yet denies he has any responsibility for what is happening in his administration.  Recently, the Department of Homeland Security released thousands of illegal aliens from prison.  Obama and his DHS secretary feigned surprise, and blamed “career bureaucrats,” essentially wiping their hands of this outrage.

 
In some ways Obama reminds of Augustus Caesar.  Augustus publicly stated that he wasn’t a dictator, yet ruled like one:

Augustus, in reality, held as much power as any absolute dictator, but wisely disguised it with traditional names so that the other Roman officials, and particularly senators, would still feel pride in their positions. The Senate was not an elected body; it drew its membership from the Roman aristocratic classes, primarily former magistrates who had served in important administrative posts. To be a senator was a matter of status, not a formal job. Under the republic, the Senate held great authority as the institution that preserved Roman knowledge and tradition and became the dominant force in religion, public policy, and foreign affairs. Senators jealously guarded the power and the wealth that resulted from their role in Roman government.

Augustus resigned the consulship in 23 BC as a gesture to satisfy senators who were anxious to receive consular honors themselves. He rarely held that title again. Augustus instead assumed the powers of a tribune, the republican official who represented the people and had the power to propose or veto legislation. The Romans heaped other honors upon him, including the office of censor, which enabled him to control the membership of the Senate. They also made him pontifex maximus, the head of the state religion, and finally pater patriae or "father of the country." These offices and titles gave Augustus no real additional power, for he already controlled every aspect of religious, civil, and military life.

The Era of Augustus Caesar was called the Pax Romana.  In the United States, the end result of decades of progressivism should be called the Pox Obama.

Democrats Fly Obama Dictator Flag Over Florida County Headquarters

The Obama cult of personality has taken on dimensions reminiscent of third-world dictators. A Florida county’s Democrat headquarters flew an American flag with Obama’s face imprinted on the field of blue. This sums up what this administration is all about: federalism is dead. The Constitution is dead. The States are no longer sovereign. Obama is our lord and master.

An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."

Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.

"It's absolutely disrespectful," Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion told FoxNews.com. "It's totally ridiculous. To put somebody's picture there, to me, it's a disgrace to do that."

Bradford, an organizer with the Veterans Memorial at Fountain Park in Leesburg, Fla., snapped photos of the flag and distributed them to fellow veterans and friends. By late afternoon, he and several other veterans delivered a copy of the federal flag code to Nancy Hurlbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party.

"We read that to her, but she would not accept that," Bradford said. "The discussion finally got a little bit heated."

The flag, which had been flying for several months without complaint and is available online for $12.95, was later removed by Hurlbert.

Bradford said Hurlbert apologized for the incident, but did not offer any promises that it wouldn't fly again.

When Obama looks in a mirror does he see a Hugo Chavez or a Fidel Castro? Some in the Democratic Party apparently do.

King Obama doesn't believe that the tea party people should hold him up. Why they're just a minority. And why should a miniority have a say in anything.

Il Duce Barack Obama Knows What's Best for the American People

Il Duce Barack Obama once again has shown his contempt for the Constitution and our representative republic. Our future president-for-life openly flaunted the advise and consent clause in Article II Section II of our Constitution by making “recess” appointments, when the Senate is still in pro forma session.

The Anointed One presumes he is working for the American people by circumventing our elected officials and that tiny little document that isn’t worth the ink it is written on. Why our Dear Leader can’t be hampered with such trivialities like mere politicians and a constitution. The omniscient … the magnificent Barack Hussein Obama knows what’s good for us. He doesn’t need a stinking legislature telling him what to do. Advise and Consent? Phooey!

And Obama will make damn sure we know what is good for us. One of his recess appointments is Richard Cordray. That statist will crack the commerce clause whip to make sure we all fall in line. Why there is no business transaction that doesn’t fall under the scope of the federal government. And let’s not forget the three appointments to the National Labor Board. We all remember them. They were the ones who sued Boeing for opening a plant in South Carolina. How dare any business open operations without the approval of the NLRB.

Any president who has shown such contempt and violations of our laws would be impeached. But this is no ordinary president. This is Barack Hussein Obama our lord and master. Who would think of ever questioning the motives of our Dear Leader? Why he knows what’s best for us all.

Jesse Jackson Jr. Wants Obama to Declare State of Rebellion

Democrats are in a state of desperation. You can practically smell it. It exudes from every authoritarian pore of their bodies. And that makes them dangerous. So far, we’ve heard calls for suspension of elections. We’ve heard cries for the administration to implement the 14th Amendment in order to raise the debt ceiling. Now, a congressman from Illinois is advocating a dictatorship. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. wants Obama to declare Congress in a state of rebellion and to use extra-constitutional means through an administrative state to rule over all of us:

“I hope the president continues to exercise extraordinary constitutional means, based on the history of Congresses that have been in rebellion in the past,” Jackson said. “He’s looking administratively for ways to advance the causes of the American people, because this Congress is completely dysfunctional.”


“President Obama tends to idealize — and rightfully so — Abraham Lincoln, who looked at states in rebellion and he made a judgment that the government of the United States, while the states are in rebellion, still had an obligation to function,” Jackson told TheDC at his Capitol Hill office on Wednesday.

“On several occasions now, we’ve seen … the Congress is in rebellion, determined, as Abraham Lincoln said, to wreck or ruin at all costs. I believe … in the direct hiring of 15 million unemployed Americans at $40,000 a head, some more than $40,000, some less than $40,000 — that’s a $600 billion stimulus. It could be a five-year program. For another $104 billion, we bailout all of the states … for another $100 billion, we bailout all of the cities,” he said

Jackson added that his $804 billion stimulus plan is the only way to solve the unemployment crisis. “I support the jobs plan. I support the president’s re-election. I support Barack Obama,” he said. “But at this hour, we need a plan that meets the size and scope of the problem to put the American people to work.”

“We’ve got to go further. I support what [Obama] does. Clearly, Republicans are not going to be for it but if the administration can handle administratively what can be done, we should pursue it. And if there are extra-constitutional opportunities that allow the president administratively to put the people to work, he should pursue every single one of them,” Jackson suggested.


Even if that means Obama declaring himself king for life.

Democratic Twilight Zone: Republicans Want a Dictatorship

Why watch reruns of the Twilight Zone, when you can turn on the news. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has turned class warfare into an art form. She declared that we (Democrats) make all the sacrifices, while they (Republicans) share the wealth. This coming from a lady whose personal income improved over $35 million last year.





I must say that Donkey must have “Oxymoron” branded to its ass. The Democrats always make asinine statements. Just look at DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She declared that the Republicans were acting like dictators during this debt ceiling crisis:

“Aren’t we at the point where the closer we get to chaos, the more concern that there should be about coming to the table and compromising with Democrats?” Wasserman Schultz asked. “This is not leadership. This is almost like dictatorship. I know they want to force the outcome that … their extremists would like to impose. But they are getting ready to spark panic and chaos, and they seem to be OK with that. And it’s just really disappointing, and potentially devastating.”

So according to Lil Debbie, Republicans are tyrants for wanting fiscal responsibility. In the meantime, we have Democrats who really want to install a dictator. Bill Clinton and Rep. James Clyburn - just to name a few – have given the green light to Barack Obama to ignore Congress and raise the debt ceiling on his own:

“He could do that [an executive order] with a stroke of a pen. We have seen many big things done in history that way,” Clyburn said on MSNBC’s “Jansing & Co.” “I was joking to my staff the other day: ‘Tell me the bill number for the Emancipation Proclamation.’ It was an executive order. We integrated the armed services by executive order. We integrated the public schools by executive order. Sometimes executives must order that things get done.”

Clyburn added, “If the president gets up to Aug. 2 without a piece of legislation, he should not allow this country to go into default. He should sign an executive order invoking the 14th Amendment and send that to all the governmental agencies for us to continue to pay our bills.”

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) has repeatedly demanded that Obama use his office to issue an executive order to give amnesty to illegal aliens. The Anointed One even contemplated this action:




So, I ask you which party wants a dictatorship.
