NC Tea Party Flips Off Republican Establishment

Establishment republicans are astonished that Senator Kay Hagan is leading their candidate in the polls.  Off year elections are supposed to favor their party.  So why isn’t Thom Tillis shellacking Obama’s puppet?  North Carolina, after all, isn’t a liberal hell hole.

Prominent moderates in the GOP have come to the Old North State to save their handpicked candidate.  Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and Lindsey Graham have campaigned for Tillis to no avail.  How can this be?  They are the rock stars of the Beltway.  The sheeple are supposed to blindly follow the Potomac toilet bowl’s crowned princes.  Why are the whelps sniffing around Tillis’ leg instead of humping it, like they are supposed to?

The answer is the Tea Party.  Establishment republicans, such as Karl Rove, thought that they could waltz into this state and smear conservatives without consequence.  Tillis didn’t help himself by ignoring them.  He refused to attend Tea Party sponsored debates.  That decision alone could prove fatal.

The days of establishment republicans running roughshod over conservative constituents are over.  Granted some tea partiers will vote for Tillis, if anything, to keep Harry Reid from dictating the Senate.  But others see Washington D.C. for what it really is.  It’s going to take a lot more than voting political parties out of power.

Sean Haugh the Craziest Senatorial Candidate in America

A North Carolina libertarian has just been dubbed the craziest senatorial candidate in America.  Sean Haugh has taken to tweeter to smack down republican candidate Thom Tillis and his supporters, as a bunch of homicidal racist, hell bent on mass murder.  And this guy has a solid 5% of the vote. Wow!

Here he is in a video telling the rest of us to get along with one another.  What a hypocrite.

Truth and the Voter Run Senator Kay Hagan's Gauntlet of Lies

Election Day is nearing and liberals are frantic.  North Carolina is inundated with campaign ads.  Senator Kay Hagan’s leg humpers will do whatever they can to get her back to Washington D.C.  So she can shove their agenda down our throats.  Truth once again has become a casualty in this Liberal War on the American People.

I’m reminded of an old Clint Eastwood movie, “The Gauntlet” where a police officer is tasked to get a witness to the courthouse.  Unfortunately for Ben Shockley and his charge, powerful people want them dead before they can get there.  In this case, truth and the voter are running Kay Hagan’s and her minions’ gauntlet of lies while they’re trying to make it to the polls.

Here is an ad outright lying about Thom Tillis’ record on education:

They claim he cut $500 million from the education budget.  Not true.  Carolina Journal reported the following:

The simple explanation is that the $500 million figure is essentially an apples-to-oranges comparison. I have collected the enacted budget figures from the last seven years. I chose this timeframe to include data from the last recession. The state budget had to be cut during this time to reflect a decrease in tax revenue to the state, so I thought this would give a truer picture of what has happened with education spending in North Carolina.

The commercials say, “Speaker Thom Tillis cut almost $500 million from education.” Thom Tillis has been speaker since the 2011-12 fiscal year, when the first budget was passed under his leadership, until the most recent budget that was passed in the 2014-2015 fiscal year. If we look at all the budgets under his leadership, total education spending increased by nearly $1 billion. If we look at the most recent budget cycle, it increased by a little over $700 million

I wonder what the line is on truth making it to the polls.  Odds are against it.

Senator Kay Hagan Opts out of Debate

I thought three debates were scheduled between Senator Kay Hagan and Thom Tillis. Looks like I’m wrong.  Senator Kay Hagan has opted out.  The News and Observer reported the following:

The event was planned for Oct. 21, to be broadcast on Time Warner Cable, sponsored by the TV station’s newsroom and The News & Observer and Charlotte Observer. TWC reported Monday night that Hagan says she will decline.
The Hagan campaign says it notified Time Warner in July that she would not participate.

I don’t know why are illustrious senator has decided to cancel.  She couldn’t have more pliable sponsors.  The Observers that infest this state are Democratic Party operatives.  They’re Hagan’s cheerleaders.  I guess she was shaken up after her last performance.  Of course, the spinners know how deflect setbacks.

The Hagan campaign says it notified Time Warner in July that she would not participate.
"It's a disingenuous attack from Speaker Tillis who felt two debates was more than enough in the primary,” Hagan spokeswoman Sadie Weiner said Tuesday in an emailed response. “... The first debate has already taken place and we look forward to the next debate opportunity for the two candidates to compare their records for voters."

She canceled in July?  That’s about as believable as ‘if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.’

Tillis Burst Senator Kay Hagan's Moderate Record Myth

As sure as the sun don’t shine, Mother Nature decided to schleprock my area just in time for the senatorial debate between Kay Hagan and Thom Tillis.  Throughout the day, I kept reminding myself the first of three debates was tonight.  And of course, wowsie wowsie woo woo.

It wasn’t until twenty minutes into the debate, my satellite receiver sputtered to life.  And guess who was hosting?  Norah O’Donnell, a libtard in journalist clothing.  And guess what the subject was?  That’s right, birth control.  The mean republican was being accused of denying women access to health care.  What a load of crap.

This should be an insult to women.  You can walk to your local pharmacy and buy contraceptives over the counter.  It’s so easy a man can do it.  And it’s cheap!  Why republicans don’t drive this home is beyond me, even though Tillis danced around this point at the end.

Senator Kay Hagan then went on to advocate a minimum wage hike.  Again, Tillis missed another opportunity to smack this issue down once and for all.  I ask, what happens to skilled workers who’ve put their time, energy, and money into learning a trade?  Will they get a pay raise commiserate with the minimum wage?  Of course not!  A raise in the minimum wage is a pay cut for skilled workers.  It’s a slap in the face to the middle class.  Why can’t anyone articulate this?

Overall, from what I was able to watch, Thom Tillis put Kay Hagan on the defensive.  He burst the myth of her moderate voting record, while exposing her for the Potomac creature she turned out to be.  Truth be told, we need to repeal the 17th Amendment.  We need people representing North Carolina and not Washington D.C.

Senator Kay Hagan and Thom Tillis First Debate Wednesday Night

Senator Kay Hagan and republican challenger Thom Tillis will have their first debate tomorrow night starting at 7:00 pm on UNC-TV.  The political season has officially started.

Senator Kay Hagan will defend her “moderate” voting record, if you consider a 94% Obama approved record moderate, against a media maligned Thom Tillis.  Mind you, this is the same media who considers Senator Kay Hagan a moderate.

It will be interesting to see who the moderator is and if he/she will pull a Candy Crowley.  After all, this is PBS.
