When You Get Caught Building a Mosque in New York City

The purveyors of the religion of peace have been caught trying to screw the taxpayers. They have filed applications for federal funding to build their victory mosque near the site of one of this country’s worst attack since Pearl Harbor:

An application to secure funding from federal 9/11 aid to build a controversial Islamic center two blocks from Ground Zero is drawing fire from critics who decry the move as insensitive.

"In November 2010, Park51 submitted several grant requests to the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, a New York state agency. The agency was established to help redevelop Lower Manhattan's economy after the 9/11 attacks," the proposed center, Park51, reports on its website.

This is an affront to every God fearing American. And I’m not talking about the one from the “moon” persuasion. Rep. Peter King is on the front lines putting a stop to this Islamic shadow dance:

"It is entirely wrong for any taxpayer money to be used to fund the ground zero mosque," Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told FoxNews.com. "This is particularly true when it is being done in such a secretive way. This just further offends the memory of all those who were murdered on Sept. 11th."

Irshad Manji, author of "The Trouble with Islam" agreed.

"If Imam Feisal and his retinue want to know why they're not trusted, here's yet another reason," Manji told the Daily Beast. "The New Yorkers I speak with have questions about Park51. Requesting money from public coffers without engaging the public shows a staggering lack of empathy -- especially from a man who says he's all about dialogue."

Still the application is within the grant's guidelines -- which allow religious institutions to apply for grants "as long as the request is for a facility or portion of a facility that is dedicated to non-religious activities or uses" -- because it does not include the center's prayer room among areas that would benefit from the funds, the Daily Beast reported.


Secrecy and lies are the ingredients of Islamic supremacy. Vigilance is the anti-septic to this toxic ideology.

One of the biggest lies Rauf spewed is that Islamic values are similar to American values. And if you believe that, I have a huge hole in the ground located in Manhattan to sell you at a bargain price. You know what they say: Location! Location! Location!

Somebody Give Anderson Cooper a History Book

Anderson Cooper interviewed Renee Ellmers who is running against Rep. Bob Etheridge for the U.S. House seat in the second district of North Carolina. Ms. Ellmers ran a controversial ad about the Ground Zero Mosque and her opponent’s inability to take a stand on the subject. What was really appalling in this interview was Cooper equating Muslim conquest to that of Christians in the Roman Empire. He basically implied that a foreign Christian army invaded Rome and took over pagan temples and converted them into churches. Somebody needs to give Anderson Cooper a history book.


Constantine the Great is universally known as the first Christian Roman Emperor. He converted on the battlefield at Milvian Bridge in 312AD after seeing the sign of the Christian cross and adopting it as his symbol. He went on to defeat his brother-in-law Maxentius cementing his belief in the power of the Christian God.

Even though Constantine converted to Christianity he was prudent not to alienate the pagans who made up the majority of his subjects and particularly his army. During his reign he pushed Christianity carefully in ambivalent stages with the ultimate goal to reunify the empire:

Christian Bishops under Constantine functioned in an official capacity as Imperial advisors. Tax exemptions were granted to Christian priests and money was granted from the Imperial treasury to provide for new and rebuilt churches. At a meeting of Bishops in Milan (313 AD) an edict (of Milan) was passed which essentially granted complete tolerance to all religions, but Christianity would benefit the most. Previous victims of various persecutions were also granted compensation directly from the Roman treasury. Still, however, Constantine left a confusing trail for his personal religious thoughts. Association with Sol Invictus is still cited for several more years, at least until the complete unification of the Empire. The emperor in the east, Licinius maintained an adversarial relationship with Constantine for many years, which included two short wars for Imperial dominance. Licinius seems to have maintained more support for traditional pagan customs and Constantine may have resisted complete Christian conversion in order to maintain the approval of the non-Christian majority population. Perhaps in order to lure Constantine into a final battle, Licinius began inciting Pagans against Constantine's edict which favored Christianity and championed a Pagan cause. By 324 AD, the conflict and rivalry came to a head. Constantine defeated Licinius in battles at Adrianople and Chrysopolis, which ended in Licinius' capture and execution.

The conversion of the Roman Empire from paganism to Christianity came from the lower classes and eventually from the very Emperor’s themselves. Islam can’t boast that same history. Their conversions came from the sword, slavery and coercion.

Charlotte Observer's Ground Zero Mosque Dhimmitude

Jack Betts, the associate editor of the Charlotte Observer, wrote an op-ed piece last Sunday about an ad by a Republican contender in the 2nd congressional district of North Carolina. The ad by Renee Ellmers is critical of the Ground Zero Mosque and questions her opponent, Dem. Rep. Bob Etheridge, on his position of the matter.

Mr. Betts believes that criticism of this project will encourage the “extremist” by letting them believe they're winning the war because of our “religious intolerance.” Mr. Betts obviously doesn’t understand that Islam is a political ideology in the guise of a religion. It doesn’t matter what we say or what we do, they are at war with us no matter what.


Mr. Betts succinctly points out that the proposed mosque is actually a “community center” and that the agent of this benevolent facility, Imam Rauf is an upstanding citizen of the community:

In New York, Feisal Abdul Rauf, a graduate of Columbia University and a longtime New York Giants fan, proposes to build a community center that would include a restaurant, swimming pool, day care center, gymnasium, classrooms, a memorial to the victims of 9-11 and an Islamic prayer room. Rauf, imam of a New York mosque, is vice chairman of the Interfaith Center of New York who has, the New Yorker magazine reports, conducted sensitivity training for FBI agents and police. "He denounces terrorism in general and the 9-11 attacks in particular, often and at length," the magazine said

Imam Rauf denounces terrorism except of course those acts committed by Hamas and Hezbollah. I wonder if Mr. Betts knows the meaning of the word: taqiyya

Mr. Betts continues his handwringing piece by refuting the historical assertions the ad makes that Muslims build victory mosques on the ruins of conquered civilizations:

And as the News & Observer reported the other day, the mosques Ellmers' ad cited were not "victory mosques." Notions that Muslims built mosques to celebrate those victories "are sheer flights of fancy with no historical testimony to support it," Duke University associate professor of Islamic studies Ebrahim Moosa said.


The Dome of the Rock was built 50 years after Muslims captured Jerusalem as a shrine where pilgrims could visit the site where, they believe, the Prophet Muhammad ascended to accept a message from God, the newspaper reported. The building cited in Cordoba was constructed 73 years after Muslims toppled that city. The building is now a cathedral. The Blue Mosque in Istanbul was built more than 150 years after Constantinople fell.

The News and Observer made no statements about the Dome of the Rock, see link below. But let’s look at how the indigenous population of “Palestine” was treated by the invading Muslims summarized by the historian Bat Ye’or:

Abu Bakr organized the invasion of Syria [Syro-Palestine] which Muhammad had already envisaged. He gathered tribes from the Hijaz, Najd, and Yemen and advised Abu Ubayda, in charge of operations in the Golan, to plunder the countryside, but due to a lack of adequate weaponry, to refrain from attacking towns. Consequently, the whole Gaza region up to Cesara was sacked and devastated in the campaign of 634. Four thousand Jewish, Christian, and Samaritan peasants who defended their land were massacred. The villages of the Negev were pillaged by Amr b. al-As, while the Arabs overran the countryside, cut communications, and made road perilous. Towns such as Jerusalem, Gaza, Jaffa, Cesarea, Nablus, and Beth Shean were isolated and closed their gates. In his sermon on Christmas day 634, the patriarch of Jerusalem, Sophronius, lamented over the impossibility of going on pilgrimage to Bethlehem, as was the custom because the Christians were being forcibly kept in Jerusalem: “not detained by tangible bonds, but chained and nailed by fear of the Saracens,” whose “savage, barbarous and bloody sword” kept them locked up in town….Sophronius, in his sermon on the Day of the Epiphany 636, bewailed the destruction of the churches and monasteries, the sacked towns, the fields laid waste, the villages burned down by the nomads who were overrunning the country. In a letter the same year to Sergius, the patriarch of Constantinople, he mentions the ravages wrought by the Arabs. Thousands of people perished in 639, victims of the famine and plague that resulted from these destructions.

The countryside [in Syro-Palestine, Iraq, Persia, and Armenia] suffered constant razzias, while those who escaped the sword swelled the contingents of enslaved women and children, shared out among the soldiers after the deduction of the fifth [share of the “booty”] reserved for the caliph.

According to [the Muslim chronicler] Baladhuri (d. 892 C.E.), 40,000 Jews lived in Caesarea alone at the Arab conquest, after which all trace of them is lost.

So, the Muslims built the Dome on the Rock after they destroyed and enslaved the indigenous population. It’s true the Blue Mosque was built a 150 years after the conquest of Constantinople, but Mr. Betts failed to mention that the Hagia Sophia, a cathedral, was converted into a mosque almost immediately; and he completely distorted the Cordoba Mosque. The Brussels Journal tells that tale:

All the churches in that city [Cordoba] had been destroyed except the cathedral, dedicated to Saint Vincent, but the possession of this fane [church or temple] had been guaranteed by treaty. For several years the treaty was observed; but when the population of Cordova was increased by the arrival of Syrian Arabs [i.e., Muslims], the mosques did not provide sufficient accommodation for the newcomers, and the Syrians considered it would be well for them to adopt the plan which had been carried out at Damascus, Emesa [Homs], and other towns in their own country, of appropriating half of the cathedral and using it as a mosque. The [Muslim] Government having approved of the scheme, the Christians were compelled to hand over half of the edifice. This was clearly an act of spoilation, as well as an infraction of the treaty. Some years later, Abd-er Rahman I requested the Christians to sell him the other half. This they firmly refused to do, pointing out that if they did so they would not possess a single place of worship. Abd-er Rahman, however, insisted, and a bargain was struck by which the Christians ceded their cathedral.

This kind of editorial is what usually comes out of the Charlotte Observer; that’s why this paper deserves its moniker “The Disturber.”

An email was sent from a member of the "religion of peace".  He wished to express his love of country and fidelity to the principles of the multiculturalist who have wrought the "We are World" mentality upon this great nation of ours.  Coalition to Honor Ground Zero reported the following:

Threats and Violence: Islam's Tools for Spreading the Peace

Rep. Pete King of New York called out Imam Rauf.  He believes that the follower of the "religion of peace" threatened the critics of the ground zero mosque.

"To me, it's almost as if he's blackmailing and threatening the United States that somehow if the mosque is not approved or people speak out against his mosque, you have to worry about being attacked by Islamic terrorists," Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf on Fox Business Network on Friday.

King said that the Islamic center was being "put there to make a statement, not to build bridges, but to make a statement."

"We don't have to prove ourselves to anyone and certainly don't have to measure up to some standard set by an imam who said that the U.S. was a co-conspirator of 9/11,"

 

This threat should be taken seriously.  When a cartoon of Muhammad was published in a Danish Newspaper, Muslims throughout the world arose in protest.  Armed gunman took over an E.U. office in Palestine:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Masked gunmen today took over an office used by the European Union to protest the publication of cartoons deemed insulting to Islam.

About five gunmen stormed the building, closing the office down, while 10 other armed men stood watch outside. One of the militants said they were protesting the drawings, one of which depicted Islam's Prophet Muhammad wearing a turban shaped as a bomb.

You can't even be critical of Islam, as Theo Van Gogh found out.  The Danish filmmaker produced a documentary about Islam and the treatment of women.  A lover of the "religion of peace" took umbrage and stabbed the infidel.  He also tried to cut off Mr. Van Gogh's head.  The film maker's last words were 'can we talk about this?' 

When Pope Benedict quoted the observations of a 14th century Byzantine Emperor, who stated that the teachings of Muhammad are evil and inhumane, and of spreading the faith by the sword; Muslims around the world resorted to threats and violence:

Seven churches in the West Bank and Gaza were set on fire. Religious seminaries closed down in protest in Iran, where Ahmad Khatami, a leading cleric, told students at a mosque in the holy city of Qom that the Pope’s remark’s were inflammatory. The Tehran Times said that the Pope’s remarks were “code words for the start of a new Crusade”.

Morocco recalled its ambassador to the Vatican and there were further street protests by Muslims in Pakistan, India and Turkey. An Iraqi insurgent group, the Mujahidin Army, threatened a suicide bomb attack against the Vatican on a website used in the past by militants. Addressed to “the dogs of Rome”, it said: “Our minds will not rest until we shake your thrones and break your crosses in your home.”

The adherents to the "religion of peace" even resorted to murder.  A Somali nun was shot in the back numerous times while she entered a hospital.  And when the Pope apologized for having the audacity to quote the last Christian Emperor of Constantinople, a Turkish Magistrate said it wasn't good enough:

Mehmet Aydin, the Turkish Minister of State, said that the Pope seemed to be saying he was sorry for the outrage but not necessarily the remarks themselves. “You either have to say this ‘I’m sorry’ in a proper way or not say it at all,” he said. “Are you sorry for saying such a thing or because of its consequences?”  

I believe the West and other civilized countries of the world had better wake up and take heed.  You can't allow barbarians such as Muslims to immigrate into your country.  Their value system is completely different than ours; even hostile.

A Mosque Comes to Rock Hill, South Carolina

Rock Hill, South Carolina is going to have a mosque. The Carolinas have attracted a sizable Islamic community; some of its members are undesirable. Just recently, a jihadist blogger from Charlotte, North Carolina spirited to Yemen. Sabir Khan was on the FBI’s radar, but allowed him to escape:


Intelligence sources told national news organizations Monday that they believe Khan is the top editor of "Inspire," an online magazine designed as a recruiting tool for the group al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.


Myrick, a Republican member of the House Intelligence Committee, told the Observer she's frustrated.


"It becomes clear to me that he had contacts with al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula while he was in the U.S.," she said. "And if that's the case, the intelligence community should have been able to discover that. And if they knew it and didn't do something, that raises more red flags."

Khan is not the only Muslim in the area who’s had ties to terrorist organizations. The Holy Land Foundation – a front group for Hezbollah – was operating in the Carolinas:

One of the fund-raising groups that had connections to North Carolina was the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which formerly was based in Richardson, Texas. The Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets named the charity a specially designated terrorist organization and shut it down in 2001.


The foundation was a front organization for Hezbollah and sponsored offices and fund-raisers nationwide, including in Charlotte. The foundation was one of the largest Islamic charities in the United States, raising about $13 million annually

Many in the Charlotte area will remember their cigarette running operation to Michigan:

In July 2000, the FBI charged 18 people with smuggling contraband cigarettes from North Carolina to Michigan and money laundering. According to authorities, author Steve Emerson says in his book American Jihad, what the smugglers were really doing was “providing currency, financial services, training, false documentation and identification, communications equipment, explosives, and other physical assets to Hezbollah, in order to facilitate its violent attacks.”

York, South Carolina has an Islamic enclave. The community calls itself Islamville, South Carolina. All residents are obliged to swear allegiance to Sheikh Mubarik Ali Gilani:

Gilani says on (one) tape, “Life is becoming more hard for Muslims; therefore, every Muslim man or woman should learn to defend himself or herself. We are establishing training camps. You can reach us in South Carolina or Pakistan, wherever we are.”


It’s not known for sure where or when the tape was made, but it does show someone teaching guerilla warfare including weapons training. Sheriff Bryant says neighbors often report hearing gunfire coming from the York County compound.


At least once a month anywhere from 500 to 1,000 Muslims converge on Islamville. The sheriff says his office is always told in advance and there are few if any problems. Nevertheless, his deputies patrol the area on a regular basis.


Ali Rashid an Islamville elder. He was recruited by Gilani 25 years ago in Pakistan. He told us that Islamville is “an open community and we don’t hide anything.”


After seeing our camera, Rashid said, “I’m sure you just photographed and what you just photographed is all there is.”

Notice how the neighbors reported gun shots and other suspicious activity.

Considering the track record of Muslims in the Carolinas, I hope that the citizens of Rock Hill cast a suspect eye on this mosque; that means an account of its members and particularly who is funding it.

Political Class Sides Against Americans on Ground Zero Mosque

Again, there is a huge disconnect between American citizens and the Political Class.  Rasmussen conducted a telephone poll and here are the results:

Now 62% oppose the building of a mosque near where the World Trade Center stood in Lower Manhattan, compared to 54% in the previous survey. Twenty-five percent (25%) favor allowing the mosque to go ahead, and 13% more are not sure.

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of the Political Class, however, favor building the mosque near Ground Zero. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Mainstream voters are opposed.

Now let's take a look at the 25% who are in league with the political class.  Notice the organizations printed on the signs:

Ground Zero Mosque Could Become a Pilgrimage for Jihadist

Not only will this mosque symbolize conquest, but it will become a pilgrimage for Jihadist. Just look at what happened to the 9/11 mosque in Hamburg, Germany:

“We have closed the mosque because it was a recruiting and meeting point for Islamic radicals who wanted to participate in so-called jihad or holy war,” said Frank Reschreiter, a spokesman for the Hamburg state interior ministry.

German police shut down a mosque in Hamburg on Monday which was once connected to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, saying it had links with armed Islamist groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Taiba Mosque in the port city was previously known as the Al-Quds Mosque and was once frequented by Mohammed Atta, the leader of the group that carried out the attack on the World Trade Centre in New York for Al Qaeda.

The Ground Zero Mosque could become the Mecca of the United States; a place for Muslims to contemplate and admire their handy work.

The Professional Left in the United States is following the European model. They've embraced the Islamist as an ally. Nancy Pelosi and her minions are more interested in power and control of the American people and will compromise our national security to maintain it.

An Unholy Alliance Between the Professional Left and Islam

A mutual hatred of freedom and western capitalism has forged an unholy alliance between two groups: Muslims and Socialist. This alliance has existed for decades in Europe and is now blossoming in America.

Americans are emphatically against the building of the Ground Zero Mosque. The Left and their Islamist allies counter, that those who oppose the building of this effrontery are a bunch of Islamophobes, a typical tactic to shut up the opposition:

The language of the proponents of the Black-Red Alliance is confrontational when dealing with valid criticisms of Islamists and Muslim extremists. The main term used to silence criticism is "Islamophobe." In Britain, a website has been in existence for more than a year, calling itself Islamophobia-watch. This site is run by two individuals. One is Eddie Truman, who is both a member of Britain's Communist Party and spokesman of the Scottish Socialist Party. The main writer, who describes critics of Islamist radicalism as "right-wing racists" and "Islamophobes," calls himself Martin Sullivan. His real identity is Bob Pitt, the formerly secretary of the Workers Revolutionary Party



Hopefully the Professional Left and their Islamist allies will not have the same success in the United States as they have had in Europe.
