Arizona has a bill that just passed the state Senate that will allow law enforcement to charge illegals with trespassing:
Already passed by the state's Senate and currently being reconciled with a similar version in the House, the bill would essentially criminalize the presence of the 460,000 illegal immigrants living in the state.
The measure allows police to detain people on the suspicion that they are illegal immigrants, outlaws citizens from employing day laborers, and makes it illegal for anyone to transport an illegal immigrant, even a family member, anywhere in the state.
Governor Jan Brower has hinted that she will sign the bill if it makes it to her desk.
John McCain -- Mr. Amnesty -- has artfully sidestepped the issue, when questioned. He dismisses it as "states rights".
I hope that everyone in the state of Arizona remembers Senator McCain's arrogance and dismissal of the will of the people; and particularly the constituents of his own state, when he tried to shove amnesty for illegals down their throat a couple of years ago. Make no mistake about it, once he gets re-elected he will try it again.
I say go J.D. Hayworth! Beat that RINO!
I can only hope that my home state of North Carolina will follow Arizona's lead. As of January 2010, North Carolina has an unemployment rate of 11.1%; Mecklenburg County 12.8%.
If anyone goes to a construction site in Mecklenburg County or the surrounding area, you would think that you were visiting a third world country. Just try and ask one of these workers a question; you'll get a blank stare and a smile. In the meantime, an American is sitting at home waiting for a response on the hundreds of resumes he has sent out.
