When I Say Alvin Greene, You say Indicted
South Carolina's Democratic Senate nominee, Alvin Greene was indicted today for felony pornography charges. Mr. Greene allegedly showed pornographic images on a computer to a college student in November of last year. USA Today reports:
A grand jury in Richland County, S.C., indicted Greene on one felony charge of disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity as well as a misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent, according to a statement from the county solicitor's office.
Mr. Greene won 59% of the vote in the Democratic primary without campaigning or raising money. Rep. Jim Clyburn threw a tantrum; accusing Mr. Greene of being a GOP plant. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division checked out Mr. Greene's filing fee of $10,000. The proceeds came from his military exit pay and a tax refund.
It's getting to the point that to have any "creds" in the Democratic Party you have to be a felon or an accused felon. Alvin Greene is in good company. Maybe he can share a cell with Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangle.
