EPA Attacks the Second Amendment

The Environmental Protection Agency is circumventing the Constitution in a back door attempt to deny Americans their second amendment rights.

This unelected bunch of bureaucrats is plotting to outlaw lead, in a frontal attack on denying law abiding citizens ammunition to protect themselves; family and property; and ultimately from a dictatorial government who’s demonstrating daily, the incomprehension on the limitations of their power.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation reported the following:

With the fall hunting season fast approaching, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Lisa Jackson, who was responsible for banning bear hunting in New Jersey, is now considering a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) – a leading anti-hunting organization – to ban all traditional ammunition under the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976, a law in which Congress expressly exempted ammunition. If the EPA approves the petition, the result will be a total ban on all ammunition containing lead-core components, including hunting and target-shooting rounds. The EPA must decide to accept or reject this petition by November 1, 2010, the day before the midterm elections.

I am reminded of the British regulars who marched on Concord, Massachusetts to destroy Patriot ammunition and arms stores. This is similar in design and theory.

Lisa Jackson is a power hungry bitch, who will impose her will – and ultimately Barack Obama’s – upon the American people. This is the same woman who demanded that Congress pass legislation on Cap and Trade or SHE WOULD BE FORCED TO DO IT HERSELF, with or without the consent of the people; as reported by the New York Post:

Who needs Congress to help govern America? Not the Obama administration, it seems.

At the UN Climate Control conference in Copenhagen yesterday, Environmental Protection Agency head Lisa Jackson said that she wants to work with Congress to contain carbon emissions that her agency claims are "dangerous."

"This is not an either/or moment. This is a both/and moment," Jackson said.
Consider that the velvet glove covering the administration's extremist fist -- which had itself been revealed a day earlier in Washington.

An Obama staffer -- speaking anonymously, of course -- told Fox News: "If [Congress doesn't] pass [emissions-control] legislation . . . the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area. And it is not going to be able to regulate in a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way."

If there was ever an argument to get rid of this usurping agency, let it be the second amendment.
