United Nations Wants to Redistribute Our Wealth

The United Nations wants to confiscate 2% of the worlds GDP so as to implement a new “social justice” program. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said, “No one should live below a certain income level, and everyone should have access to essential public services such as water and sanitation, health and education.”

This quasi-world government organization wants to use a Marxist front group called the International Labour Organization to redistribute the wealth. The ILO currently has 183 members and their delegates are scheduled to meet in June. Ostensibly, they are mapping out a long term strategy to provide financial security to the world’s poor. They believe that everyone is “entitled” to the following:

-- basic income security for children;

-- access to some social assistance for people of working age that prevents them from falling into absolute food poverty;

-- a basic old-age pension for people over a certain age;

-- and essential health services for all

And guess who is going to pay for that. That’s right we are. Apparently, this den of thieves doesn’t believe that we are entitled to the fruits of our labor, as Thomas Jefferson noted in his first inaugural address:

a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.

No one can accuse the United Nations of good governance.
