Secretary John F. Kerry in the 19th 1/2 Century!

Last Sunday, Secretary of State John Kerry decried Russia’s invasion of the Crimean Peninsula as so-19th century.  Doesn’t Putin know that countries aren’t supposed to act like this in today’s utopia?  How can Obama rule America with all these foreign policy distractions?

You just don’t in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pre-text, it is serious in terms of sort of the modern manner with which nations are going to resolve problems. There are all kinds of other options still available to Russia. There still are. President Obama wants to emphasize to the Russians that there are a right set of choices that can still be made to address any concerns they have about Crimea, about their citizens, but you don’t choose to invade a country in order to do that.

Naïve is a word that comes to mind when Secretary Duck Dodgers in the 19th in a half century utters nonsense like the one above.  What’s next?  Is he going to employ Daffy Duck’s ultimatum dispatcher?  I’m sure Putin is quaking in his boots.

History is replete with aggression and oppression, but somehow, Kerry believes human beings have advanced beyond those norms.  Take a look at what’s going on in the world.  The 21st century is no different than the last.  I would go even further and state that most countries haven’t advanced beyond the 8th century.  Can anyone say Islam?

For all of the bluster that spews out of Washington D.C. I would say the Obama administration is stuck in the 1930’s.  Their economic policies mirror FDR’s failed New Deal and their approach to foreign aggression is Chamberlain-esque.  There is nothing 21st century about Barack Obama and his hirelings.
