"Legal Citizen" Scared of North Carolina Schools

There are times when I read an article or an op-ed and my credibility radar goes off.  That was the case with a piece written by Blanca Hernandez which was published in the Charlotte Observer:

My 8-year-old son came home from school one day last fall and told me his teacher asked him about his citizenship papers. “Mommy, you always forget,” he said, worried I had forgotten to sign some field trip permission slip. “It was embarrassing.”

I stopped fixing his snack.

“What did you say?” I asked.

“She asked me where I was born, and then asked me if I had citizen papers,” he said. “I know you and daddy were not born here, and she asked where I was born. I got so nervous that I forgot I was born in Virginia, so I said Colombia because I love my family in Colombia. Then she asked me about those papers you didn’t send.”

Does this sound credible to you?  Can you imagine a teacher asking a child about his citizenship status?  I don’t think so.  What I can imagine is an activist completely fabricating a story so as to gain sympathy for a cause.  And come to find out, Blanca Hernandez is an activist.  Here is how the Charlotte Observer described this woman:

Blanca Hernandez is a Mexican-American mother of two children who lives in Union County. She is the co-founder of United Women for Change, a group formed after the November election to empower individuals in the area to promote inclusiveness and diversity.

Ms. Hernandez implied in her op-ed that being a “legal citizen” or an illegal alien shouldn’t matter.  I find it amazing that an immigrant, who took the time to become a “legal citizen,” valued her adopted country and its laws with such low regard.

The United States is NOT a Nation of Immigrants

I am sick of hearing this nonsensical bumper sticker crap, “America is a nation of immigrants.”  I am not an immigrant and neither are the vast majority of the citizens who populate this country.  I doubt 75% of the populace can name an ancestor who immigrated to the United States because they are so far removed.

The rebuttal I normally get is the only people who are not immigrants on the North American continent are native Indians.  Oh, really?  Weren’t we taught their ancestors crossed a land bridge from Siberia back in the Ice Age?  Actually, scientists can back up this claim with DNA test.

The simple fact is world history is replete with constant migrations and most of it unwelcome.  Let’s take Spain as an example, in 237 BC the Carthaginians invaded (or should we say migrated) the Iberian Peninsula.  Then came the Romans and after them the Visigoths and then the Moors.  And I’m sure the vanquished welcomed these conquering "immigrants" with open arms.

A nation consists of a people who have a common culture, language, history and governing principles.  They forge a social compact and those who wish to join must legally ask for permission and then adopt and assimilate to those guiding principles.  We call this citizenship; a nation cannot exist without it.

Swiss Deny Citizenship to a Libtard Interloper

Over a decade ago, I had a debate with a Canadian who had been in the United States for a very long time.  He crooned over their universal healthcare system and couldn’t understand why we wouldn’t adopt a similar plan.  I told him, we’re Americans and if he didn’t like it, he should move his interloper ass back to the Great White North where he belongs.

Swiss citizens are having a similar problem with an interloper who believes the natives should change their culture to accommodate her libtardism.  This woman is from the Netherlands and doesn’t care for Swiss traditions.  That didn’t sit well with the locals, so they decided to act.

Nancy Holten, 42, was born in the Netherlands but grew up in Switzerland from the age of eight, speaks fluent Swiss German and has children with Swiss citizenship.

A vegan and supporter of animal rights, she gained a reputation in her community of Gipf-Oberfrick, in the canton of Aargau, after campaigning against cowbells, claiming they were damaging to cows’ health.

She has also objected to hunting and piglet racing, and complained about the noise of church bells in the village, campaigns that have seen her regularly interviewed in the Swiss press over the past few years.

Last November, Holten had her citizenship application turned down for the second time by the residents’ committee.

That’s despite her meeting all legal requirements and the municipal and cantonal authorities having no formal objection.

This bitch isn’t even a citizen and she has the audacity to lord her values over the populace.  They need to kick her ass out.  I say, we need more cowbell!

Open Borders Crowd Scapegoat "Stupid and Lazy" Blacks

When historians analyze this era, they’ll declare Americans in this day and age were a bunch of inept morons completely devoid of common sense.  That is if future generations survive this idiocracy we’ve created.

Everything has been bastardized or reduced to a punch line.  We can thank progressives for that.  Don’t know if you’re a boy or a girl? For Pete’s sake don’t check your underwear, that thing between your legs might just give you a clue!  You want to marry your pet gerbil?  Go ahead.  Who are we to judge?  All Lives Matter?  Not according to progressives.  And it goes on and on.

The latest stupidity to come down the pike is the abolition of our national borders and proof of citizenship requirements to vote.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court on Friday blocked Kansas, Georgia and Alabama from requiring residents to prove they are U.S. citizens when registering to vote using a national form.

The 2-1 ruling is a victory for voting rights groups who said a U.S. election official illegally changed proof-of-citizenship requirements on the federal registration form at the behest of the three states.

People registering to vote in other states are only required to swear that that they are citizens, not show documentary proof.

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia acted swiftly in the case, issuing a two-page, unsigned ruling just a day after hearing oral arguments. A federal judge in July had refused to block the requirement while the case is considered on the merits

The League of Women Voters and civil rights groups argued that the requirements could lead to the "mass disenfranchisement" of thousands of potential voters — many of them poor, African-American and living in rural areas

These people would have us believe blacks are this stupid, lazy and inept.  I would be insulted if I were an African-American.  How dare these people scapegoat a race so as to advance an open borders agenda.  And make no mistake that’s what this is about.

Human Rights and Moral Turpitude

I came across an article that claimed London, England will likely have a Muslim mayor in the next election.  Sadiq Khan will be the first Mohammedan to head a major Western capitol since the Reconquista.  What does that tell you about the state of affairs across the pond?  That sounds rather ominous if you ask me.

After reading that bit of disturbing news, I dusted off my copy of Londonistan, by Melanie Phillips.  I noticed a dog eared page.  Here is an excerpt that many in the States can easily recognize in this Age of the Mad Hatter:

The Gender Recognition Act was passed to conform with a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights.  This ruling laid down that a transsexual had the right to claim that his or her gender at birth was whatever he or she now deemed it to be, as agreed by a panel of experts.

The act accordingly gave transsexuals the right to a birth certificate that does not record the actual gender into which they were born, but states instead what they were born in the gender that they now choose to be.  While the plight of transsexual identity obviously deserves sympathy, this means that their birth certificate – the most basic guarantee that we are who we say we are – will be a lie.  It means that someone who was born a man, married as a man and fathered children as a man will have a birth certificate, if he so chooses, that says he was born a female.

Worse still, a wide variety of people will be prosecuted if they make known the truth.  Suppose a fitness club advertises for a personal trainer and takes up a reference at another gym for an applicant named Barbara.  If the gym’s owner employed this person as Barry, it will be a criminal offense for him to say so.  So he may be forced to tell misleading half-truths about “Barbara’s” performance.  If a woman becomes a man, “he” nevertheless remains the mother of his (her?) children.  Similarly, a man remains the father of his children and is therefore still liable for child support – even though his birth certificate might say he was born female.  Such are the absurd and unjust contortions that result from a legislated lie – a lie brought into being as a direct result of judge – made human rights law.

Such law is also turning social order on its head along with the concept of right and wrong.

The United States is currently convulsing under a moral turpitude that is slowly decaying any concept of right and wrong, respect for the rule of law and any notion of what constitutes citizenship.  Progressives are employing this “human rights” tactics to what end?  One can look to Europe to see the results.

Supreme Court Values Federal Power Over Citizenship

The Supreme Court added insult to injury when they reaffirmed what many of us have come to believe and that is the federal government does not value American citizenship.

Arizona passed a law requiring proof of citizenship when registering voters.  The Supreme Court refused to hear this case.  Here is an excerpt from Roll Call:

The case, Kobach, et al. v. Election Assistance Commission, et al., was about whether Arizona and Kansas could require voters to prove their citizenship when registering to vote with the so-called “federal form.” Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach led the suit against the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, which was an appeal of a lower court decision.

Both Kansas and Arizona have state laws that require applicants to prove their citizenship when applying to vote with state forms (for state or federal elections). But the U.S. EAC denied the states’ requests to have their citizenship laws applied when would-be voters use the standardized federal form

Here is the real reason the federal courts ruled against Arizona:

By not hearing the case, the Supreme Court effectively upheld the decision of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled against Arizona and Kansas in November 2014, saying the EAC did not have to modify its form to meet state laws. Under the federal form, would-be voters need only swear under penalty of perjury that they are citizens.

“This is a very big deal,” University of California Irvine Law Professor Rick Hasen wrote on his election law blog Monday. “Kobach had the potential to shift more power away from the federal government in administering elections toward the states,” he added.

Forget the integrity of the vote, or the value of citizenship; it’s all about the federal government’s power over the States.  That seems about right.

One out of Six French "Citizens" Support ISIS

France has huge Muslim diasporas.  There are places Westerners should not go.  What’s even more disturbing is one out of six French “citizens” support ISIS.  That is roughly 16% of the population.  That number is nothing to sneeze at.

The organization that conducted this poll is ICM Research, Palestinian Center for Public opinion.  So keep that in mind.

Illegal Alien Parents Decry Participation in Public Schools

A republic is doomed when its populace no longer values citizenship.  The United States has just about reached that point.  A 1982 Supreme Court case, Plyler v Doe, dealt a blow not only to Congress’ constitutional prerogative on rules of naturalization; it also legitimized illegal aliens and undermined the sovereignty of the United States.

What the Supreme Court did was reprehensible.  Not only did they violate the law, our Constitution, they have caused a schism within the States and our local communities.  Illegal alien children can attend public schools, at taxpayer expense; yet, their parents can’t participate in their child’s education.  The Charlotte Observer reports:

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools team assigned to find a way undocumented immigrant parents can volunteer in schools is running short on time and even shorter on potential solutions to the hot-button issue.

The team’s final meeting is Tuesday, and it has yet to find a quick, easily affordable fix to the current policy, which requires anyone volunteering in schools to produce a Social Security number and driver’s license for a criminal background check.

Undocumented immigrants – people not in the country legally – do not have such forms of identification, making it impossible for them to volunteer in schools where their children are students.

The team has so far only identified one possible alternative to the current policy: Accepting a valid passport, along with fingerprinting.

However, CMS officials said in June that resorting to fingerprinting parents would be cost-prohibitive, not to mention incompatible with the current program.

Team member Hector Vaca, an advocate for immigrants with Action NC, is critical of the team’s “slow” progress and said he’ll show up at the Tuesday meeting with a proposal that the study group continue meeting until a solution can be found.

Otherwise, he said, “the entire effort yielded nothing.”

CMS officials said last week that they would be open to extending its study, if the group agreed to it.

“We won’t reach any type of consensus or agreement on solutions by the end of the last meeting, which means undocumented parents will continue to be excluded during the school year,” Vaca said.

And yet, there are those who deem a judicial oligarchy infallible.  The consequences of Plyler v. Doe state otherwise.

Dem Capos Demand Don Obama Enforce Loyalty Oaths

Senate Democrats want a crackdown on companies that have fled their extortionist policies.  Capos Durbin, Warren and Reed want Don Obama to remind these taxpaying soldiers of their obligation to the federal government.  They want undying loyalty to this thing called Cosa Nostra.  Here is an excerpt from their letter to the Godfather, as reported by the Hill:

“Corporations that renounce their U.S. corporate citizenship should not be able to reap all the benefits that American tax dollars provide,” they wrote. “We urge you to use your authority to stand up for American companies which are proud to be part of our nation and reduce U.S. incentives for others corporations which would abandon their responsibilities to their country for a nod of approval from Wall Street.”

The senators warned that 47 corporations have inverted operations in the last decade, with over a dozen more announcing plans to do the same. If the government does not act soon, the U.S. could lose billions of dollars in tax revenue from companies that enjoy perks provided here, they cautioned.

“Inverted corporations take advantage of all the things American tax dollars provide—from tax credits for research and development, investments in transportation infrastructure, and strong patent and copyright protections, to profiting from taxpayer-supported programs like Medicare and the Veterans Health Administration. Yet, these companies claim to be foreign corporations when it’s time to pay their tax bill,” they wrote.

The federal mafia needs those soldiers producing.  And they had better.  After all, they have all the benefits of this thing called a family.  By the way, once you’re in, you can’t leave.

The Democratic Party's Cuckoo Bird Immigration Policy

United States immigration policy is completely cuckoo, literally.  Barack Obama and the Democratic Party have vowed to fundamentally change this country, and it seems they’ve adopted the techniques of one of nature’s most deceitful creatures.

The cuckoo bird won’t build its own nest, or raise its own offspring.  They will plant their eggs into another’s.  Once the intruder hatches, it will push the host eggs out so as to receive full attention.  What an evolutionary technique.  Democrats should scrap the jackass as a mascot.  The cuckoo bird best represents the values of that party.

The egg, in this case, is Latin American children and the nest is the United States.  Thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens are being dispersed by Obama’s coyotes throughout the country.  These hatchlings will have to be housed, clothed, fed, and educated.

Unsuspecting communities will have to expend valuable resources in order to accommodate these intruders.   Many municipalities can’t meet the demands foisted upon them by deceitful politicians and bureaucrats.  It will be the children of U.S. citizens who will suffer because of this insidious policy.

Eventually, democrats will demand family reunification, and that doesn’t mean repatriation.  Hence, the United States will be colonized by third-worlders.  That will not bode well for the Republican Party.  They will meet the fate of the dodo bird and the Democratic Party will “RULE” the country in perpetuity.

Gov. Pat McCrory Treats All North Carolinians the Same

North Carolina is setting an example that the rest of the country should heed:  treat all citizens the same.  How many times have liberals declared our nation’s strength is our diversity?  Well it’s not.  When government entities pander to subset groups, they create resentment, suspicion and hate.  And how does that strengthen our republic?

Governor Pat McCrory has the right idea when it comes to treating all citizens as equals.

North Carolina GOP Gov. Pat McCrory is under fire for eliminating the state’s Office of Hispanic/Latino affairs.

“The message from Raleigh is that Latinos in North Carolina don’t matter,” Jess George, executive director of the Latin American Coalition, told the Charlotte Observer.

“Despite movement with the Republican Party at the national level towards more bipartisan solutions around comprehensive immigration reform, North Carolina conservatives don’t seem to have gotten the same memo.”

McCrory spokesman Thomas Stith told the newspaper the duties of the office were being folded into the office of community and constituent affairs.

“We don’t segment our constituents by race or cultural background any more than we separate them by age or gender,’’ he said.

Of course the “Latino community” isn’t happy about the closing of their one-manned office, and neither is the statist at the Charlotte Observer, who published this cartoon:

Illegal Immigration IS a State Issue; Not Just Federal

Illegal immigration is not just a federal issue; it’s also a State issue.  But try telling that to the Libtards at the Charlotte Observer.  Citizenship is of no value to the communist on that editorial board.  They believe Obama has an amnesty mandate after squeaking out a victory.  Never mind that the Republicans still have control of the House of Representatives.
But hey, one redeeming factor is that these communist  believe its okay that nation states have borders.  Don’t believe me?  Here is an excerpt from the Disturber:

Securing the borders is fine. But true immigration reform tackles bigger issues – what to do with the 11 million undocumented immigrants already here and U.S. employers’ demand for cheap labor that fuels the continued migration.
Anyone with an iota of intelligence can remember the Simpson-Mazzoli Act.  That fiasco was supposed to put an end to our illegal immigration problem.  But amnesty didn’t work out.  Did it?  But solutions are not what the editors at the Charlotte Observer are about.  These “communist” are all about dominance and political power.

It’s a shame that we have people in this country who divide us along racial lines.  People, like the editors at the Charlotte Observer, need to divide Americans in order to dominate us.  They need the hyphenated-American to wield their power.  And here is an example:
This year’s presidential election underscored the importance of the matter to a key constituency for both political parties: Hispanic voters. President Barack Obama campaigned on pursuing comprehensive immigration reform. Late last year, he instituted a policy to not deport undocumented immigrants who are students or were brought here as children, and who had no criminal records. Obama won election, helped mightily by the 70 percent of Hispanic votes he received.

The editors at the Charlotte Observer see us as subset human beings, and not as Americans.  What’s worse, they couldn’t care less about the suffering of their fellow North Carolinians.  Illegal aliens take jobs away from those who are willing and able to work.  They also use up valuable State resources.  Resources they are not entitled too.
Illegal immigration IS a State issue; not just a federal.  It is the States who are on the front lines, and they have every RIGHT to protect their citizens from this invasion.

Barack Obama Values Citizenship?

I just about fell out of my chair when I heard Barack Obama pontificate on the values of citizenship during his DNC acceptance speech in Charlotte, NC.  It was without a doubt the most laughable moment in convention history.  Here is an excerpt from that speech:

We, the people — (cheers) — recognize that we have responsibilities as well as rights; that our destinies are bound together; that a freedom which asks only, what's in it for me, a freedom without a commitment to others, a freedom without love or charity or duty or patriotism, is unworthy of our founding ideals, and those who died in their defense. (Cheers, applause.)

As citizens, we understand that America is not about what can be done for us. It's about what can be done by us, together — (cheers, applause) — through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self-government. That's what we believe.

Citizenship used to mean something in this country.  Now, it’s just a word that trips off of a politician’s tongue like so many lies.  The assault on American citizenship has been going for decades.  But the Obama administration has relished in this denigration.  We would have to go back to the time of Reconstruction to find anything comparable.  Northern carpetbaggers became governors.  They had federally approved private armies that harassed, humiliated, stole, and at times murdered the Southern populace.  They ruled like conquerors and they made damn sure the plebeians knew it.

Yesteryears carpetbagger armies have been replaced by the Department of Justice and Homeland Security.  The bayonet has been replaced by lawsuits.  States can’t clean up their voter registration rolls, or require an ID at the polls without the heavy breath of a DOJ dog on their necks.  Immigration laws aren’t being enforced.  If a sheriff detains an illegal alien, the Obama administration sends its hell hounds to investigate and harass local law enforcement.  We all know what happened to Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  Well, we have the same thing happening in Alamance County, North Carolina:

RALEIGH (AP) – A two-year investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice has found that a North Carolina sheriff and his deputies routinely discriminated against Latinos by making unwarranted arrests with the intent of maximizing deportations.

In an 11-page report issued Tuesday, the federal agency said Alamance County Sheriff Terry S. Johnson and his deputies violated the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens and legal residents by illegally targeting, stopping, detaining and arresting Latinos without probable cause.

The agency also said that Johnson obstructed the federal investigation launched in 2010 by withholding requested documents and falsifying records. Federal investigators say members of the department also feared retaliation if they cooperated.

The report recommends a list of steps to end discrimination by the department, including remedial training, new internal procedures for recognizing and investigating civil rights violations and community outreach. If the county fails to reach a negotiated settlement, the Justice Department could take the county to federal court.

The DOJ refused to comment if criminal charges will be filed.  But they sure as hell will sue the shit out of the county.  Oh, and of course they’re receiving the same treatment Arizona is getting:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Barbara Gonzalez said Wednesday the agency’s 287(g) contract with Alamance County had been terminated, effective immediately. The two-year contract had been set to expire in October.

Federal authorities will now check the immigration status of those booked at the county jail, with an emphasis on deporting only those accused of serious crimes.

“ICE will utilize federal resources for the purpose of identifying and detaining those individuals who meet ICE immigration enforcement priorities,” Gonzalez said. “The department will continue to enforce federal immigration laws in Alamance County in smart, effective ways that focus our resources on criminal aliens, recent border crossers, repeat and egregious immigration law violators and employers who knowingly hire illegal labor.”

In an 11-page report issued Tuesday, the Justice Department said Johnson abused his authority granted under 287(g), ordering his deputies to arrest motorists who appeared Latino — even for minor traffic infractions — while letting white drivers off with warnings.

Are these the actions of an administration that values citizenship?  I would say they’re more like a northern carpetbagger, who has a disdain for a conquered people.

Undocubus Rolls Up to the Democratic National Convention

A bus of illegal aliens has drifted into town. They have come to thumb their noses at our laws and sovereignty. NO PAPERS! NO FEAR! That’s their mantra. And what’s to fear? The Obama administration has told local law enforcement to leave these illegals alone.

Those found to be in the country illegally can be referred to federal authorities for deportation.

Jim Pendergraph, who served as Mecklenburg County Sheriff for 13 years and is now a county commissioner, was the first to bring 287 (g) to the east coast in 2006.

“I think it’s outrageous that they’re thumbing their nose at federal and United States law by parading themselves around the country and advertising that they’re illegal aliens in the country, and no one is taking action against them,” Pendergraph said.

He said he’s heard that local law enforcement was told not to arrest people on the Undocubus. “Actually, I’ve spoken to people from Homeland Security, and that’s what people have told them, is hands off,” he said

What we have is a protected class. Illegal aliens have become equivalent to the Spotted Owls. But what can you expect when we have a Third World president whose aunt and uncle are illegals themselves.

The presence of the Undocubus is symbolic of the schizophrenic nature this country has with illegal aliens. It’s even more appropriate that they should show up at the Democratic National Convention.

Facebook Co-Founder Would Rather be Caned Than Pay Capital Gains Taxes

What is the value of an American citizenship these days? To thousands of ex-patriots, their membership in this country is more of a liability than a privilege. And who can blame them. We have politicians who demonize the producers, while catering to the teat squawkers. We have millions of illegal aliens who leech off of the taxpayers, while demanding we learn their language and cater to their needs. Why would anyone value citizenship in a country that doesn’t value their citizens?

Facebook co-founder, Eduardo Saverin renounced his American citizenship before his company announced its planned initial public offering. He did this in order to evade paying capital gains taxes. And guess where he plans on moving to: Singapore. That’s right. He would rather move to a country that canes people for petty crimes than stay in the United States. American citizenship isn’t what it used to be. But you’d think it would be better than a country who canes people. Here is a dissident describing a caning experience:

Singapore's laws today permit the state to beat you the prescribed number of strokes with a rattan cane, soaked previous night in brine or water to make it supple. Sentences for various offences, usually violent crimes (which includes even pickpocketing) but even minor ones like painting graffiti, carries this unimaginably brutal punishment, whose beating (caning) is in addition to the prison term the prisoner has to suffer.

The beater or the caner is a prison officer specially trained to beat people, the object being to inflict the maximum amount of pain on the prisoner. While strapped to a gurney, naked with his buttock exposed, the officer who carries out the torture, takes a couple of steps and swings his cane hard, very hard, with full force at the prisoners buttocks.

By reason of his training, the caning is so forceful and the velocity of the swing so great, that it is reported that on one beating alone, the cane digs deep into the flesh, and even pieces of bloodied flesh hang out. There is so much blood on the floor from these beatings that after one or 2 stokes, the beating is interrupted for the bloodied floor to be mopped and the blood removed, after which the beatings resume.

I think you get the picture. I don't wish to say more.

Say what you will about Singapore. At least they value citizenship. Here is what happened to an American who overstayed his visa:

Kamari Charlton was arrested on Sept 1 when he attempted to leave the city-state 169 days

after his 90-day social visit pass expired, his lawyer M. Ravi said.

Mr Charlton, who was born in the Bahamas and owns a construction company there, was in Singapore while his wife received medical care for pregnancy complications, Mr Ravi said. It was not clear why Mr Charlton and his wife chose Singapore for medical treatment.

Staying in Singapore for more than 90 days after the end of a visa is punishable with a maximum jail term of six months and at least three cane strokes.

The Attorney General’s office declined to comment on the case. A judge is to meet with lawyers from both sides in a pretrial conference on Friday.

If found guilty, Mr Charlton would be the first American citizen caned in Singapore since 1994, when teenager Michael Fay was punished for vandalism.

Let the caning begin! You can’t say Singapore doesn’t value their citizenship. I wonder what would happen if we implemented their policies. I bet there would be a line stretching from Mexico all the way to Wyoming.

Instead, we have politicians like Sen. Chuck Schumer who are more interested in fleecing the likes of an Eduardo Saverin rather than keeping them as citizens. Here is a genius solution to the ex-patriot problem:

At a news conference this morning, Sens. Schumer and Bob Casey, D-Pa., will unveil the “Ex-PATRIOT” – “Expatriation Prevention by Abolishing Tax-Related Incentives for Offshore Tenancy” – Act to respond directly to Saverin’s move, which they dub a “scheme” that would “help him duck up to $67 million in taxes.”

The senators will call Saverin’s move an “outrage” and will outline their plan to re-impose taxes on expatriates like Saverin even after they flee the United States and take up residence in a foreign country. Their proposal would also impose a mandatory 30 percent tax on the capital gains of anybody who renounces their U.S. citizenship.

The plan would bar individuals like Saverin from ever reentering the United States again.

Nice solution Sen. Chuck E. Schumer: Super Genius. Soon, he will advocate building the equivalent of a Berlin Wall around the country, so as to keep the producers from escaping.

PC Crowd to Banish "I-Word" American Citizen is Next

When Progressives don’t like a word, they change the meaning of it. The latest victim of the English language is “illegal.” Apparently, there are a whole group of people who take umbrage at being defined as an “illegal,” particularly the kind who come from other countries. Here is the definition of illegal:

il·le·gal

adj.

1. Prohibited by law.
2. Prohibited by official rules: an illegal pass in football.
3. Unacceptable to or not performable by a computer: an illegal operation.

n.

1. forbidden by law; unlawful; illicit
2. unauthorized or prohibited by a code of official or accepted rules

n.

a person who has entered or attempted to enter a country illegally

So, if you are in the United States without permission, by definition you are here illegally. But the preferred word is “undocumented.”
F.A. Hayek wrote about the perversion of the language in his work, “The Road to Serfdom.”

FOREWARD TO THE 1956 AMERICAN PAPERBACK EDITION:

The fact that this book was originally written with only the British public in mind does not appear to have seriously affected its intelligibility for the American reader. But there is one point of phraseology which I ought to explain here to forestall any misunderstanding. I use throughout the term “liberal” in the original, nineteenth-century sense in which it is still current in Britain. In current American usage it often means very nearly the opposite of this. It has been part of the camouflage of leftish movements in this country, helped by the muddleheadedness of many who really believe in liberty, that “liberal” has come to mean the advocacy of almost every kind of government control. I am still puzzled why those in the United States who truly believe in liberty should not only have allowed the left to appropriate this almost indispensible term but should even have assisted by beginning to use it themselves as a term of opprobrium. This seems to be particularly regrettable because of the consequent tendency of many true liberals to describe themselves as conservatives.

He also wrote:

If one has not one’s self experienced this process, it is difficult to appreciate the magnitude of this change of the meaning of words, the confusion which it causes, and the barriers to any rational discussion which it creates. It has to be seen to be understood how, if one of two brothers embraces the new faith, after a short while he appears to speak a different language which makes any real communication between them impossible. And the confusion becomes worse because this change of meaning of the words describing political ideals is not a single event but a continuous process, a technique employed consciously or unconsciously to direct the people. Gradually, as this process continues, the whole language becomes despoiled, and words become empty shells deprived of any definite meaning, as capable of denoting one thing as its opposite and used solely for the emotional associations which still adhere to them.

After they banish “illegal” from the lexicon, let’s guess which words will be considered offensive by the PC crowd. Will it be American? How about citizen? Wait, how about putting the two together: American citizen. Now, that’s offensive.

North Carolina Illegal Alien Interlopers Want Part of the Decision Making Process

A couple of weeks ago, three illegal aliens disrupted North Carolina’s General Assembly by shouting down our elected representatives. They screamed, “Undocumented, unashamed, and unafraid.” All three were arrested. Two were released, and one was detained due to a criminal record.

The brazenness of these young people is an indictment of how broken our system is. We have foreigners openly laughing at our laws, citizens and our country. We are a joke to these people. And to make matters worse, they act like they’re victims. Here is what the offender had to say:

"My name is Uriel Alberto. I am undocumented, unafraid and unashamed. I refuse to be bullied and intimidated by this committee and choose to empower my community," he shouted. As Alberto and two other protesters were escorted out of the room, some audience members shouted expletives at them and told them to "go home."

So, it is we - the citizens - who are bullying him and his “community.” Notice how he emphasized his ‘community.’ But victimization doesn’t stop with him; apparently it runs in the family:

"We didn't ask to be brought here," said Cristina Alberto, 25, his sister. "We're from a very small town in Mexico. Now, the possibility of going back to Mexico — I can't even find words for it. This (North Carolina) is all I know.

I’ve got news for you Cristina Alberto: We didn’t ask you to come here. You and you’re family are interlopers. And what really pisses me off is this:

"I think anybody in El Cambio and Dream Team will say, 'Yeah, well, you tell us where we can have our voices heard and how we can go about doing this,' " Alberto said during the interview in jail.

"I mean, we haven't been invited to speak by the committee. Have we? No. So, in that case, we will make our own time to speak," he continued. "If they're going to ignore us and keep us out of the decision-making, what are our options?"

I’ve got news for you Alberto: You’re not entitled to the decision making process! You are an illegal alien!

Of course the victimization continues in this puff piece.

"I'm a man without a country … unfortunately," Alberto said. "All my life, I've seen myself as a Mexican Southern. I'm Mexican by birth, and I'm Southern, North Carolinian, by experience. I like the South. This is my land."

Hey Alberto, you have a country. It’s called Mexico! Gather your illegal alien family; pack your bags and leave!

ACLU Confers Citizenship to Alabama's Illegal Aliens

Once again, we are witness to a federal court meddling in the affairs of a state government. Alabama passed a law that forbade state and local governments from engaging in business contracts with illegal aliens. Another provision instructed the state courts not to enforce contracts involving the same.

A three judge panel violated the Tenth Amendment rights of Alabama. However, Article 1 Section 10 explicitly states that States cannot pass a law impairing the obligation of contracts. But are those contracts null and void if the individuals have violated our immigration laws? Should the States be obligated to honor a contract with someone who is unlawfully in the United States? Alabama’s Attorney General disagrees with the ruling:

"I strongly disagree with the Eleventh Circuit’s decision today to temporarily enjoin two provisions of the immigration law that the District Court upheld," Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange said in a statement. "I will continue to vigorously defend Alabama’s immigration law in the courts. I am hopeful that the Supreme Court's coming decision in the Arizona case will make clear that our law is constitutional."

The ACLU was delighted with decision. They went so far as to confer citizenship status for illegal aliens:

"Today’s order brings immediate relief to countless Alabamians whose fundamental rights have been trampled by this anti-immigrant law," Cecilia Wang of the American Civil Liberties Union said in a statement. "These provisions were designed to make it impossible for ordinary families to live in Alabama by stripping them of their ability to engage in contracts – like rental agreements or car leases – and to do any business with the state government. They are unconstitutional and the court rightly blocked them pending a final ruling on the appeal.”

Alabamians must be surprised to find out that illegal aliens are citizens. I know I am.

Three Illegals Disrupt N.C. General Assembly

Three illegal aliens disrupted a North Carolina legislative session. They were arrested and of course ICE refused to take possession. Two the three were released. The other had a criminal record. The News & Observer reported the following:

The three Mexican-born immigrants interrupted a hearing Wednesday, wearing bright orange T-shirts that read “undocumented and unafraid.”

They yelled at House lawmakers for expressing anti-immigration stances. The eruption came not long after Republican state Rep. George Cleveland suggested that illegal immigrants bring crime to the state.

Court records show that Alberto was charged with assaulting a female in 2009 and convicted of driving while intoxicated in 2008. Other charges include speeding and driving without a license. But an organizer from NC Dream Team, an organization for undocumented young people, said that Alberto had turned his life around.

“We need to send a message out to our youth that are scared, ashamed, petrified to even drive a car,” said Viridiana Martinez.

In determining whether to hold a suspect for possible immigration action, ICE spokesman Vincent Picard said the agency looks at three priority factors: criminal record, recent border crossing and egregious or repeated immigration law violations, such as marriage fraud and serial border crossing.

Apparently, these illegals aren’t petrified and ashamed enough. But what do you expect when our own people don’t value their citizenship and allow interlopers to flagrantly violate our laws.

Illegal Aliens Flee Alabama

Illegal aliens are fleeing the state of Alabama after a court ruling reaffirmed a law that values citizenship:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.

There are no precise statewide numbers. But several districts with large immigrant enrollments -- from small towns to large urban districts -- reported a sudden exodus of children of Hispanic parents, some of whom told officials they planned to leave the state to avoid trouble with the law, which requires schools to check students' immigration status.

This exodus is a boon to the unemployed citizens of Alabama. And the student to teacher ratio has improved drastically:

In Montgomery County, more than 200 Hispanic students were absent the morning after the judge's Wednesday ruling. A handful withdrew.

In tiny Albertville, 35 students withdrew in one day. And about 20 students in
Shelby County, in suburban Birmingham, either withdrew or told teachers they were leaving

Educators are up in arms over the empty seats. Now mind you, these are the same people who constantly complain of a lack of funding and overcrowded classrooms. You would think that they would be happy:

Local and state officials are pleading with immigrant families to keep their children enrolled. The law does not ban anyone from school, they say, and neither students nor parents will be arrested for trying to get an education.

But many Spanish-speaking families aren't waiting around to see what happens.

A school worker in Albertville -- a community with a large poultry industry that employs many Hispanic workers -- said Friday that many families might leave town over the weekend for other states. About 22 percent of the community's 4,200 students are Hispanic.

"I met a Hispanic mother in the hallway at our community learning center this morning, where enrollment and withdrawal happens. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I asked, `Are you leaving?' She said `Yes,' and hugged me, crying," said the worker, who spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not an authorized spokeswoman.

Now, we know how much these Alabama school officials value their American citizenship.
